A hidden gem — peaceful paradise in the heart of Tamarindo

Jardín del Edén feels exactly like what you’d imagine a tropical resort to be: a quiet, lush oasis tucked away from the noise. The property itself is stunning — beautifully maintained, full of greenery, and genuinely serene in a way that’s hard to find.

The hotel has no direct beach access, but honestly, it doesn’t take away from the experience. The grounds more than make up for it. Rooms are simple but clean and comfortable — nothing overly flashy, which fits the vibe perfectly.

Food is really good, and having breakfast and dinner included is a great perk. The hotel also offers wellness activities almost every day, which is a lovely touch.

The concierge team deserves a special mention — they’ll help you arrange any tours and handle the logistics so you can just enjoy your time. Location-wise, you’re right in the middle of everything: shops and restaurants are steps away, and the beach is only a 5-minute walk. It’s not the most dramatic beach in Costa Rica, but the sunsets and sunrises are absolutely worth it.

A wonderful place to recharge. Highly recommend it.

Amazing experience, superior ocean view was amazing. Every single staff member was sooo attentive and literally did everything n to make us feel comfortable. The breakfast is not a basic breakfast like the ones at a Marriot, it's like actually going to a restaurant every morning with different options. I also didn't know the dinner was included as well so this helps save some money. Then you walk down to the beach and the beach bar is right there with a great bartender Kevin who will take care of everything like he knows you for years. Truly great great experience. I cannot imagine why someone would not give this 5 stars.

It was a beautiful place to stay at. It was hidden from everything it felt like you were all alone in a jungle or in a forest. It was beautiful. The people that worked there were excellent. They helped you with any needs you had I love the beach area across the street. Everything was very secure. I’m looking at going back.

Jardin del Eden is the perfect location in Tamarindo. private, but still close to everything. We were able to walk the entire town easily. The private beach area is amazing, especially for watching the incredible sunset. Definitely have a chiliguaro while you’re there!
Breakfast each morning had your regular breakfast options, but we can’t complain. Dinner was different every night and very good. The air conditioning worked great, which was a must with the crazy Costa Rica heat. I would definitely stay here again!

Best vacation we’ve had. Definitely recommend. From the hotel staff, to the food and drinks, to the beach area! It’s a memorable trip for my wife and I! Very quiet other than Saturday when the city music is super loud and goes thru all of the city. Not much the hotel can do that’s Tamarindo for you! Will be back

The breakfast was super good! The dinner was also included and very delicious. The property is beautiful and I had a great view of the ocean from my balcony. The walk down to the beach is only 2 minutes and the private area is great. The resort is small enough that there is not too many people around. It is also right next to the downtown area.

Fantastic all the way around. The restaurant has fantastic food, air conditioning works great, the rooms are sizable and the private beach is really nice to have. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Free breakfast and dinner were really good. The prices for drinks and snacks can catch up to you though they are expensive if not included in the free package.

Big water bugs in shower had to cover drain with saucer.
Plus shampoo was hideous so bring your own.

Waitstaff at restaurant and beach bar were amazing! Very attentive, friendly conversations, missed nothing in terms of service, remembered names and room numbers after first meet. Housekeeping was okay but left the same dirty cups in my room for 4 days. Front desk at check in was good and informative; check out was rude. Nice that the hotel helped with some excursion and shuttle planning. Great private beach access and saw howler monkeys on the path down (twice)! Pool was lovely. Included dinner was amazing - 3 courses each night with a great variety. Good time overall.

We loved it here! The food was amazing. The staff were so friendly. We got to see the most wildlife at our hotel, more than during our tours. Howling monkeys right outside our room, ant eaters, iguanas. I named the black and white cat by the beach bar ROCKY. He loves pets. Kevin was so awesome by the beach bar. Minor complaint is shower is brutal to wash hair and it’s very easy for bugs to get in so do a good check. We had a massive cockroach in our room and various other little bugs.

The property grounds are beautiful. The staff are extremely kind and helpful. You are in a garden in the middle of town without feeling like you are in town. The rooms are cold and comfortable. The breakfast food was great and the drinks are delicious! We got married at the Diria and it was everything we wanted and more!!

Words aren’t enough to describe the magical vibe of this place! If feels like we are in a jungle but it’s a luxurious resort. On our last morning, we saw a family of howler monkeys on the hotel property trees. About 5 pair of parrots flying by. Other people said they saw humming birds too.

The food was gourmet! They have amazing vegan food as well.

The garden path to the beach from the resort is an amazing idea. You have best of the both worlds - beach front and hidden jungle resort.

The staff are all so nice and welcoming. We will def come back here.

We had a wonderful stay at Jardín del Edén. The property is very well maintained, with stunning views throughout. The staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive.

The food exceeded our expectations. The breakfast buffet offered a nice mix of daily variety along with staples like an egg and waffle station, fresh fruit, bread, and Gallo Pinto. Dinners were fresh, flavourful, and offered great variety over the course of our stay.

We also enjoyed several of the wellness activities, including yoga, sound healing, and salsa lessons. All were well organized and suitable for all experience levels.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of Tamarindo. It was easy to walk to shops, a grocery store, and the Thursday night moonlight market.

Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed 3 weeks at Jardin del Eden and it exceeded our expectations for location, food, service. All in a beautiful well laid out property.

The rooms are simple and clean and the beds are good. Its also good to note that some of the rooms require climbing some stairs. It wasn't an issue for us. The rest of the resort is the highlight and by far the nicest, lushest resort in the area.

Jardin del Eden staff is friendly and accommodating, the breakfast and dinner exceeded our expectations for variety and quality. We had a variety of meals for dinner that included chicken, beef tenderloin, fish, lobster, shrimp, pasta and salads. Everyday was different.

The swimming pools were the perfect temperature and there is also a bar and dipping pool by the beach. The covered seating areas around the swimming pool and at the beach was plenty.

The bonus at this resort was the complimentary daily yoga, sound healing and Pilates classes. Javiera, the main yoga instructor, is one of the best instructors I have experienced. Every morning she offered different yoga classes. My husband and I went every morning before breakfast. It was the best start to our day.

Off the resort, the town of Tamarindo and the beach was wonderful and walkable. The water is warm and if you want to swim, jump waves or surf this is the beach. If you need more activity, there is also a tennis and pickleball club available down the street. Enjoy!

The staff from the front desk to the restaurant were very friendly and accomodating. The property was clean and safe. My only complaint was housekeeping. They were inconsistent with services and I complained to the front desk.

The Jardin Eden and its sister property Diria were very nice. Unfortunately the travel there and back from San Jose is definitely a challenge. I would not go unless you have 5-7 days. Our visit was 3 days and way too rushed and short. The place was nice. We just wish we had more time.

Just returned from a 1-week stay at the beautiful Jardin Del Eden. One word Paradise! If you're looking for a romantic stay or a wellness retreat. This is the place. The all-inclusive buffet breakfasts and suppers were exceptional. The staff was amazing. Make sure to talk to Kevin at the beach bar. Lots of local knowledge. The Tamarindo location is very beautiful and relaxing. We would've stayed another week. Pura vida.

This place was amazing! When we first got there we were greeted very pleasantly was offered a drink and a refreshing towel. The resort was so peaceful if you’re looking for a calm vacation this is the resort to book. The food here was amazing always cooked to perfection. The waiters were just so amazing made me sad to leave. They also have a gated alley way that leads straight into town! If your wanting to explore Costa Rica they offer amazing things such as tubing zip lining and hikes you do have to pay for it but there all worth it! They also take you in a shuttle to all these places so don’t worry about renting a car!!! We will definitely be coming back here:)

Wonderful stay at the Jardín del Edén Boutique Hotel. Staff was so friendly and accommodating, and the hotel itself is really beautiful. There's a walkway down to the main road of Tamarindo, and a beachside lounging area connected to the hotel, which was really convenient. Enjoyed a relaxing couples massage with Yerling and Mali, who were excellent masseuses. Didn't realize this when I booked but Breakfast and Dinner meals are included, and they were both excellent! I especially appreciated the DIY mimosa bar, so I could properly enjoy every morning of my vacation ;-)

Beautiful garden-like property! Excellent service, people were very friendly and helpful. The food quality and selection was great. The beach was right across a small road and the hotel had its own private gated beach area with daybeds, lounge chairs, dipping pool and bar with food orders available. The overall ambiance was perfect for a serene and/ or romantic getaway, for adults only. Loved it!

We stayed for 5 nights at the property and really enjoyed our stay! The staff was fabulous, and I enjoyed my interactions with all of them. The breakfast and dinner options were a nice variety. It is rainy season in Costa Rica, so make sure that you have slip resistant shoes. as some areas may be a bit slippery if it is raining. Also, please make note that there is no elevator, so you likely will have to navigate some stairs either going to your room, lobby/reception or restaurant. I would stay at this property again, especially since it was a boutique and adults only.

This Boutique Hotel is a true gem. The facilities are fantastic lots of greenery, pools, quiet and relaxing. Breakfast and dinner were included and the food is fantastic. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We stayed an extra night bc it was so good. The beach club is an enclosed area at the beach w a bar, chairs and towel service. Highly recommend.
