The hotel is very cute and feels authentically Thai. The staff is very friendly, and the restaurant on the property had delicious food. The hotel also offers a shuttle to the downtown area several times a day. I did feel that the property was a bit expensive, as it is slightly dated. It may have been more costly due to the Chinese new year… However, the staff made up for it, they made us feel very welcomed. Overall happy with our stay and would recommend.

A few notes:
-Property is on steep hill. Walking down to Patong beach isn’t too bad. We decided to take a taxi back up each time though, as it is steep.
-There could be more day beds for relaxing by the pool. However, we didn’t have an issue since there aren’t too many rooms at the hotel.

This resort is about a 10 minute walk to patong beach, another 10 minutes to Bangla Road.
The resort itself is very clean and quiet.
Our room was amazing, enough room for the 3 of us.
The balcony, spacious, over looking the pool and beach.
The staff were friendly and very helpful, they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable.
Restaurants food was very good and tast.
Definitely a place you want to go back too.

This is a great spot for those who want to stay by patong beach but be away from the chaos that surrounds the area. Its on a mountain overlooking the beach and your a 3 minute ride away. The staff is great and the pool is amazing. Definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area

Has potential but beware of road traffic noise

It was ok but did not live up to expectations considering the cost. There are two main drawbacks which were not clear/ I missed in the description and reviews.

1) The pool and sunbeds are about 10 yards from a main road (no exaggeration). The main road is omitted from the pictures. This makes any hopes to relax by the pool in the 'quiet oasis' described is not actually so quiet and it sounds like sunbathing on the hard shoulder.

2) Whilst the hotel is located not far from the beach, what is not mentioned is that the walk is up a very steep hill. Whilst it follows that clearly there is an incline as to get the view overlooking the beach, it is steep which potentially those who are less mobile would greatly struggle with.

The breakfast was good and the staff friendly. The room seemed clean along with the rest of the hotel. Also the pool was well maintained.

The hotel seemed very tired though and in need of a big refresh and revamp. Along with the two main considerations above I would say that overall not particularly great value for money, but if you are looking for a bed for the night close to Patong Beach and have the means to walk/money for taxis then it's just 'ok'.

We wanted the airport transfer to hotel, but not sure how the payment works apart from bank transfers. The payment webpage looks backdated, plain and weird. If there are payment using Paypal, Apple Pay, Visa, it’ll be more convincing, secured and safe for us.

We arrived late, extremely hungry enduring flight transfers and traffic from airport. The staffs are friendly, kind and accommodating. The food is generally nice, beautifully presented, but not all, because we have specific diet. We hope to have more seafood finger foods, green vege dishes etc. But of all, the garlic bread is the most memorable to us.

This resort is pretty aged. It’s not perfect, but it’s very homely, nice and clean. It’s on a hill, 15 mins walk to the end of Patong Beach. I love the spacious room given at the highest floor. The large room space and the balcony facing the sky and the coast of beach, allows my mind to relax and recover away from work and home.

The TV has very weak to zero signals. It’s almost a blank TV. We love and prefer local channel and news when traveling so that it will keep our mind away from home. Fortunately there’s Google Apps and YouTube, but it will be the same as what we watch at home. Therefore exposure to local broadcasts is still the best.

Hiring a hotel driver is one of the best. We got a very pleasant polite driver.

We hope there will be improvement in the vicinity. A nice walking path from the resort to the beach with sitting/resting spots will be splendid!

I stayed here with my 11 and 9 year old for 9 nights and we LOVED every bit of it! Location is fantastic, the food at Rice Restaurant was spot on and the staff were absolutely wonderful, always smiling and helpful. The view of Patong beach was beautiful and walking distance. Would highly recommend!

Would never recommend this hotel

Unfortunately this hotel is much older than it looks in the pictures and needs quite a bit of maintenance. We mainly booked this hotel because of the large tub and the freshness of the pictures but these pictures were taken by a professional photographer clearly.
We stayed there for two nights and they could not even fix the tub where it would hold water in order to take a bath they kept trying to put a sink plug which does not work.
The internet was atrocious we couldn't get on our online banking or anything to even book an Excursion.
Staff was friendly and they seem to be trying to do something but it was not enough and definitely not acceptable.
You also want to make sure you look at the shuttle schedule to get to the beach even though the driver will tell you he can pick you up at another time he will not be there to pick you up and the hotel will charge you to come get you.
They tried to make up for it by giving us a single pancake with a little bit of fruit which cost maybe a $1.50 us. It was almost laughable that that's all they were willing to offer... smh bad experience but all can be fixed with proper management and training

The property was in a noisy area due to be located on the side of a road. Land being cleared close by. Very dirty bathroom area with stains on toilet floor . Everything in poor condition. Staff did not have any authority to help people staying at the resort. Felt like young staff not experienced. Internet poor. All items raised with manger who not keen to put right, just compensation. 😞

We didn’t get the room we had booked and paid for.
We have stayed here about 6 times before 10years ago - so know the rooms.
Our booking was for 5 days - after 3 days we were offered the room we had booked.
The condition of the hotel has deteriorated dramatically. The room we had was exceptionally noisy .
The staff tried very hard and the cleaning was good . Unfortunately the problem is the “state of repair”.
We have always highly recommended Baan Yin Dee to our friends - but due to the state of the place this could not happen now.
It is such a shame as it have always been such a nice peace to stay ( but not now) very sad!!

Stayed at this property for 6 nights over New Years. The photos of this place are truly outdated and i definitely wouldn’t have booked knowing the conditions of the hotel. Booked pool suite with pool access only to have a room across from the pool as they only have two rooms with pool access. My partner and I were eaten alive by bugs that were able to get into the room through the gaps in the doors where seals were supposed to be. Staff have very very limited English vocabulary and makes it hard to communicate, although they do mean well.

I was travelling on my own and this boutique resort was perfect for me. The staff looked after me and I didn't want for anything. Nothing was too much trouble and I would return in a heart beat to stay with them and would recommend. I wanted somewhere safe and quiet and that is what I got. Enjoyed my stay there very much.

The location is why I chose this hotel.
then i was wanting a good room size with space this certainly was perfect. i loved the rooms.
WIFI was a little weak in the rooms , but excellent by the pool ( great space for an office LOL ) with wonderful service from staff serving Watermelon Crush or a coconut water:) staff were new but very helpful and wanting to help with every request. i would strongly suggest to purchase an Industrial Coffee machine then have your service staff trained as full Barista's at the
Phuket Coffee Lab.
the breakfast menu could be increased with etc
omeletes etc
otherwise breakfast was good.

Disappointed at Baan Yin Dee - left 3 days early

Disappointed enough about the hotel, that we departed 3 days early after pre-payment and they did not even ask us why. Pool was not clean and hotel generally looked to be in run down condition - so the hotel photos are not very current. There was on-site and offsite construction going on, which was not pleasant, including a day without water... Food was excellent but quite expensive compared to local restaurants. The free transport leaves at 14:00 and returns at 17:00, which for the most part is kind of useless...others have already mentioned about hill. We opted to return to the Royal Paradise Hotel and spa for its excellent pool w/ bar, service and central location for a bit more money and would stay there again every time we visit Patong.

On arrival, the receptionist was very vague, not welcoming at all.
Although we had arrived early, and informed them of this prior to arrival, we never asked or requested early check in. We were surprised to be shown straight to our “ Pool Suite” as booked.
Only it wasn’t a Pool Suite!
It was a “ Road side room”, dirty, foul smelling , absolutely disgusting bathroom, That was it, we were left there with our luggage.
Needless to say, we could never even consider staying in a shabby, dirty place like this. I went to reception and told him, we can’t stay, the bathroom is disgusting as is the room. It’s not a “Pool Suite”?
He just smiled and say “ Ah! You got to Amari, which he knew because he heard me phone a hotel we had stayed at before.
Do not even consider this place. The main pool is by a noisy road, breakfast area is shabby, staff unprofessional, and rooms disgusting. They have the cheek to charge you before you even get there!

This property is very pretty and the staff are lovely. It is a little further out of town, but that makes it a lot quieter. The grounds are well maintained.
The room we had was large and spacious, though the floor boards in the bathroom seemed very creaky and i wondered if it disturbed the guests downstairs. Only down side was the beds are overly hard as were the pillows, i asked for some softer pillows, which came. I decided i would try and buy softer pillows like we have bcak home, they dont exist in Thailand, any where i looked, they have hard, or latex pillows which are firm anyway. Just not what we are used to.
Shuttle bus was handy, but starts late and finishes early, longer times would be handy.

Baan Yin Dee has a lot of potential, however the resort needs work on maintaining the grounds/rooms and the food is expensive.

The staff at the resort were the one great thing about staying there. They were friendly and helpful.

The facilities were a different thing.
The pictures look great online, but that was not our experience when we visited.
The rooms and hallways showed signs of neglect.
The owners should consider first renovating the resort and maybe charging a little extra for rooms so they are able to properly maintain the property as it is obvious that they are cutting corners now.

Unfortunately we ended up booking another place that was closer to town as we were disappointed with this resort.

I think with more work, Baan Yin Dee can be something great, but the owner needs to invest the money to upkeep the property and renovate the rooms.

Baan Yin Dee is a beautiful quaint little resort up on the hill away from Patong Beach. The staff there is good and are helpful.

Issues are that the bathroom in the rooms aren't as nice as advertised. The toilet is like one from a public restroom, the bathtub is uncomfortable and dirty, the shower is dirty as well with lots of water stains.

The sheets felt sandy at all times even right after they were changed out.

The breakfast is good though!

- Mould all over the bathroom.
- 80% of the staff does not speak English.
- Cockroach die in front of the room and stay there for 2 days.
- The staff clean the rooms in 5 minutes and some days does not clean at all.
- The glasses and plates you bring in to the room can stay there for 4 days before being picked.
- Advertise of transport to the town, the first one is at 12:00 pm.
- Poor skills to solve problems, take complains... all with a nice smile but... they don’t understand at all...
- the only attention was for know a what time do we check out.
- Big beds and 2 pillows provided... all in bad conditions.
- Don’t try to connect with wifi... you will be desaponnted 70% of the time...

The hotel on the hill...Baan Yin Dee

The first visual impression was good. However you get dropped off along the main road. Check-in was smooth & efficient. The front office staff by the name of Fern was very helpful throughout my 4 night stay.
The deluxe pool access room was large. Room lighting could be better though. The mattress is very firm...so much so that I got body ache from sleeping on it.
The Breakfast package has an unusual way for you to decide your choice of noodles, rice or ham & bacon. It’s not very friendly as you can only select 3 or 1 of the items....plus you can only have 2 cups of coffee.
There is a shuttle service but only to Patong Beach.
The room is clean but there are lots of mosquitoes. The WiFi is terrible so don’t depend on it at all.

Relax and Refresh!

We found our stay at Baan Yin Dee relaxing and a total treat. We had poolside rooms which made it extremely convenient. The service was great. It was great to get out of the hot and stuffy city. The resort was a nice comfortable size. The free breakfast was fine, simple and satisfying. We ate at the resort everyday. The menu was limited but good.

Too many lies, not well managed.

Booked room was not available when we arrived. They claimed to give us an \"upgrade\". This was a lie. The upgrade was only a couple of metres from a busy road with large trucks going past DAY and NIGHT and we could not sleep.. We complained and were given another room the following day. On check out, the hotel tried to charge us for breakfast when we had the reservation including breakfast. They then charged us for a bottle of water which we did not use.

Old Property Needs Upgrading

Property was old and need upgrading. Location was on a hill. away from everything. Good for retired Europeans who just want to laze by the small pool. Our room toilet had a flushing problem. After that the air con started to leak. Wasted one hour waiting for the engineer to drain and clean the aircon. We left for dinner and when we returned around midnight, the floor was totally wet as the air con had leaked again. At midnight, we had to change room.

The hotel has a beautiful layout and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Very relaxing to sit out by the pools and a nice escape from the craziness of Patong. The water in the showers sometimes struggled to get hot water. You have to play the with faucet to make it work. The restaurant is also expensive, but the food is decent. Overall it was an enjoyable stay.

Our stay at Baan Yin Dee was very relaxing and comfortable. The hotel staff are super friendly and very attentive.
The buildings did need some maintenance as we experienced a roof leak in one of the bedrooms and the door locks needed attention. We did notice staff working on the roofs, so I presume that this is being taken care off.

Nice hotel, but steep climb from town

Hotel is situated on the hill to the south of Patong overlooking the town and beach and away from the party noise.
Dont get a room at the front overlooking the pool and the town.. the noise from the hourly water tankers and taxis struggling up the hill will ruin any early mornings. Being on the hill there is always a cooling breeze so pleasant even on hot days. The walk from the beach is only for those fit and keen enough to burn of a LOT of calories... get a cab!
It gives the impression that they have tried hard to please, but failed in many places due to not getting things made/fixed/installed properly. Nice attentive staff always willing to help and very quick to bring things to your room when requested.
Rooms are big but strange designs. slippery marble floors in bathroom and highly polished wooden floors elsewhere can be dangerous for elderly... looks nice though. Not that elderly would manage the many steps without handrails around the site. Ground floor rooms have direct access to the pool but are not very private.
Rooms have heavy wooden panel doors that are hard to open. Bed is large & comfortable, but ask for extra pillow cases, extra towels
As with anywhere in Phuket.. dont drink the tap water..which means the 2 small bottles of free water you get every day dont last long if making coffee etc in the room.
Well stocked minibar... as if anyone uses a minibar these days!. Tescos, 7/11 etc in town much cheaper.

Fantastic hotel and the staff are very friendly... Booked 1 week and ended up staying 3 weeks. Great quiet spot just outside Patong. Large hill to walk up in hot weather and I would recommend hiring a motorbike if you are staying a long time. Nice restaurant inside the hotel and few close restaurants with amazing views of the bay.

Do not believe in the ‘resort’ or ‘sea view’ title

The hotel isn’t as nice as the picture. It’s a rather aging hotel with all of its furnishings in dark brown finish. No power sockets in sleeping area so take note! Had to charge from shaver outlet instead and the dual sockets were so close that only one standard charger head can be used. No carpet, hardwood flooring in which was so slippery from the waxing and buffing I actually fell on the floor. Lack of proper lighting within the room which makes it dim. Bathing area supposed to be grand but due to bad water supply, there’s never enough hot water in the hotel, let alone soak in it. Bed is well made but headboard area is full of dust and dirt. Window blinds does not work properly and when released, loads of dust comes out. Breakfast is not a buffet spread and it’s extrmely basic food chosen from a menu that comes along with soggy toast and melting butter. The ‘sea view’ isn’t a panoramic view, blocked partially by cables and slums below. No luggage placer in room, old pair of worn out slippers provided which was absolutely disgusting. In my well travelled stays around the world, this qualifies as solid 3 star ‘resort’ on international standards. Extremely lacking and I noticed occupancy rate was extremely low in this hotel during my 3 night stay.

As the hotel is located on high ground and a distance from the beach, it is quiet and good for relaxation. Room is big and room facility is good and maintained. Food quality is good. Staff can converse in English and helpful. As I have difficulty in climbing stairs, Frontline Staff Fern helps to change my room from level 3 to level 1. The major drawback is going to the beach or going out, the road is steep. Local taxi is needed. Hotel provides scheduled returned trips to beach daily. Overall, I enjoy my stay.

Great View but just a little to far out.

We stayed here for 7 nights and it was our second visit to Patong. The location for us is just a bit to far out to walk in the heat so you will be forking out for Tuk Tuks all the time. They do have a shuttle bus but the times are not great. Breakfast was a bit boring after day three. The pool closes at 7pm meaning that after a big day out you will most likely miss out on a swim when you wanted to go the most, i just don't get the closing of a swimming pool at 7pm at a holiday resort. We never ate at the restaurant as it was just over priced.

What a dump

So there's not much to say that is positive. First of all, don't be fooled by the pictures, as this place is run down. My room was dark and musty, and the water from the faucet had a foul smell. I skipped showering on my second day for this reason. The sheets also had a giant hole in them (pictured), the sliding door to the terrace had a large gap in it, thereby allowing mosquitoes to enter the room (pictured), the air conditioner was very loud and clunky and produced a water stain on the wall from leaks (pictured), and condoms were placed alongside a plastic bottle of Gordon's gin in the minibar (also pictured). Nice touch. I wouldn't stay there again if the hotel paid me $200 per night. This hotel just felt so unclean. Don't do it to yourself.

Hotel in Patong

This experience was not good at all. I stayed with my friend. The room was extremely humid all the time and the air wasn't working properly. The WiFi continued to shut off and I had to sign in again every two minutes. In addition, the doors did not close all the way, which in an area like Patong is extremely dangerous. The only \"lock\" on the door was a little latch and you could still see the outside from the inside of the room. Also, the staff was not present at all and when I needed something in the middle of the night from a local store, they told me I would need to walk there. We even checked out from the hotel a few nights earlier than expected because it was so bad. They couldn't even get us a taxi to our new hotel. We had to sit in the hot sun for over 30 minutes and wait for one.

Perfect distance from Patong Beach

The staff are very friendly. The food is great and being at the top of the hill gives you the peaceful environment to just relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of Patong Beach.

A very pleasant hotel with excellent attentive staff. Simple and comfortable away from the hustle and bustle of the main town. The climb up the hill from the beach can be a challenge so not ideally located for everyone.

My hotel room was nice, the pool was good, but it's clear to see why its not 5 stars.
Mainly, the staff made my stay more stressful than it needed to be- they were incredibly rude and unhelpful. I was shocked. They messed up my booking so tried to ship me off to a different hotel on my arrival and make it out to be more stars than it really was. They also refused to give me change for my 1000 baht until I bought drinks and saw she had plenty of smaller notes. It goes on.. Just bad, bad - Find somewhere better x

It smelled bad when we entered the room-Like something old. There was not a proper air-conditioning system.It was very old. It was only a fan and it was across the bed hitting our faces. Not pleasant. I had to switch it off.The light was very dim and we could not see well in the room. The staff was speaking very poor English- We had communication issues. Most of the times we found it was not worth complaining because they could not understand what we were talking about.It was the only hotel that they asked us to pay for the key card because we could not find it when we checked out. We told them we left it in the room or it was somewhere in our stuff and we could not retrieve it. So we returned only 1 card. No other hotel ever asked us to return the card and no hotel ever wanted to charge us.Overall the staff was really RUDE. They did not come to pick up our suitcases when we were checking out. There was no elevator and we were placed in the 2nd floor. For some reason they asked our taxi guy to go and carry our staff. Why would the taxi driver have to carry our staff? This was supposed to be the job of the concierge.We could not charge our phones. Something was wrong with the plugs.There were no curtains and the light was waking us up very early in the morning. There was no toilet door. Only a curtain. This was really no privacy.The amenities they provided were very low quality.There were dead flies stuck in wall.There was no toilet door. Only a curtain.

The location and the grounds are beautiful the room size was good but the lighting in the room was horrible and the decor needs to be updated the water pressure and temperature fluctuates when taking a shower definitely not good there are too many much better options I will not be staying at the Baan Yin Dee again

Fantastic Hotel and Staff

The hotel was excellent and clean. staff were very friendly and we got upgraded to a pool suite at no extra charge, freshly cooked breakfast every morning where you can order what you wanted from their menu. Air conditioning was very good and I am happy to report that there were no mosquitoes. Wi fi unfortunately was not good most of the time. Location of the hotel is on a hill and there is a lot of traffic during the day so can be noisy. The view of Patong Beach from the hotel was really nice at night . Hotel shuttle service ran 3 times a day to Patong Beach which is busy with great nightlife and lots of shops, stalls and restaurants. There is a very long stretch of beach with lots of water activities. We found that everyone was friendly and you could barter prices at the market stalls, day trip kiosks and tuk tuks. There is a mini market 5 minutes walk from the hotel but be sure to check your receipt when you pay for your goods. We bought 8 items and got charged for 11 items so check your receipt before you leave the shop. I cannot fault this hotel and would not hesitate to come back again.

Lovely place, great views, peaceful and clean.

Stayed for 7 nights, just far enough from the main strip to be out of the bedlam, 10 min walk in but a challenge going back up the hill! The pay off for that is the serenity and gorgeous views. Rooms were spacious, beds enormous and comfy. Staff we're fantastic, very welcoming and friendly! Pool, rooms and place in general cleaned every day! Very affordable as well! Highly recommend!

Out stay at baan yin dee was great one, the staff were brilliant, the hotel was clean and had Avery nice swimming pool, cable Tv channels need to improve though cause the choice is too limited

Away from the buzz yet close enough to everything

The hotel is beutifully set up in traditional Thai style and vey quiet. Our air-con broke down on the second day and we were upgraded to a room with sea views. The roms are very spacious which helped as we were visiting during rainy season and spent more time than planned in our room. Free wifi was working fine although you had to log back on frequently but the speed was great. (Telstra please take note)
All staff has been great and very helpful with whatever need we had. We arrived 2 hours before check-in and we could move into our room straight away, when I enquired regarding late check-out at 2pm they did not charge me which I really liked. Should I go back to Patong, I will definetely stay there again.

Nice, clean and authentic Thai Hotel.

My girlfriend and I stayed here on our first holiday away together in September 2016. The room was incredibly spacious and the air conditioning was excellent. The rooms were cleaned regularly and the staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful.
Around 5-10 minute downhill walk to the beach and only 100-200 baht for a taxi/tuktuk back up the hill (too steep to walk up).
The only thing I felt could be improved was the quality of the food.
Other than the food, the hotel was brilliant!

We had a taxi from the hotel who was great, very friendly, honest, spoke English adequately, lovely lady, took us sightseeing and wherever we wanted at a fair price, her name was tee,we also met her lovely taxi van driving husband Mr chainsaw, highly recommend these two beautiful souls. Restaurant service was great also

Thai style with a View over Patong Beach

About a 1 km steep walk, via footpath, up from Patong Beach. If you like a little exercise as we do, this is a nice place to stay. We also walked to and from Tri Trang beach which is beautiful. The only problem was our room was a bit close to the road and found it hard to sleep one night. Ask for a room up the back. The pools are nice.

Nice quiet resort

The staff are really friendly and helpful. We had the pool access room it was really nice and clean.Its only a small resort so it was nice to have the pool to ourselves.there were a few downsides, they dont have a spa onsite also we had to move rooms half way through our stay because you can hear every noise from the rooms upstairs and there was a large group of people that stayed in the room above ours. The aircons are also very noisy. But the street in front of the resort werent too busy. Still had a nice stay wont go back there though.

The staff were so helpful and very nice people.
Due to a situation at the time i only got to stay there for 2 of the 5 days i had booked. They were so understanding and upgraded me to a suite as it was an non-refundable payment.

A very good boutique hotel. Although a bit far from main beach it's perfectly suitable for couples. Good food as well as overall facilities. Only one thing to remember, don't trust gps while searching for this hotel. Search hotel Amari Phuket on the GPS. This hotel is just bit further ahead of hotel Amari.

Great Hotel with Killer View- Terrible Internet

Hotel is great if internet is not a priority. We asked ro have internet fixed several times, tney gave us stories, not internet.

Close to the cooler beaches, Karon and Paradice.

Walking to parking is another problem, around restaurant and up a hill, definetly not user friendly.

Lovely boutique hotel

We stayed 3 nights at Baan Yin Dee in July 2016 and wished it was longer. I highly recommend this resort for couples or older families. It has a Thai feel with lovely pools and gardens.

We were given a warm welcome to the resort and upgraded to a pool suite from a pool access room. It was spacious and comfortable with a lovely elevated outlook over the pool and Patong beach in the distance. A few steps from our balcony and we were swimming in the pool!
An adeqate continental breakfast was provided daily with hot options cooked to order.
We also ate at the restaurant 'Rice' a few times and the food was fresh and delicious with many thai and western options. The friendly and efficient service provided to us by Fon deserves a special mention. She is an asset to your resort restaurant:)
The resort is 5 min by tuk tuk (200bht) from Patong but you can get a free trip into town 3 times a day. It's probably only a 10 min walk down the hill although we only used the free shuttle and paid for a tuk tuk back up. The cost of tuk tuk didn't worry us as our stay at the resort was so reasonably priced.
There is a semi-busy road in front of the resort but this provided us with much entertainment with many locals and tourists going about their daily travels.
On our last day we were kindly given a late checkout of 5pm at no charge as we had an evening flight home.
Thank you Baan Yin Dee. We won't hesitate to return!

I'd rather be on Facebook than deal with clients

The receptionist was too busy in Facebook to fix us a welcome drink / refreshing towel. I felt like l was interrupting his socialising rather than his work. The cleaners decided to flip the mattress round rather than change the sheets and took the swipe card out the holder so we walked back into a hot stuffy room (no air con) with no elec powering the fridge and therefore warm drinks...
Staff did not seem to be authentic in their greetings, more like it was a chore to be working and we were the reason why they couldn't kick back and get paid to do nothing. They run a free shuttle in Patong, but no return service? So once you've managed to get yourself back up the hillside, you'll be greeted by a belated \"sawadeeca\" once social media has been serviced.

Romantic, quiet, memorable

On our first trip to Phuket before we were married (we've been to Phuket several times since), we stayed here, and found it very romantic. This trip rekindled those romantic experiences. The hotel and rooms are all in traditional Thai decor, and most if not all the rooms look out onto various pools. We had a room on the first floor from which you could walk out directly from the front door into a pool. Although when we were there was low (rainy) season, and the hotel wasn't very crowded, it was as romantic as our first time. We had to dodge a bit more rain, but generous access to free umbrellas, shuttle service from the hotel down into Patong Beach (just a couple minutes away) made the frequent intermittent rain a minor inconvenience. In fact, I think we enjoyed the hotel and Patong Beach more despite the rain just because it wasn't so busy. The hotel itself has a lovely open air restaurant that looks out over Patong Beach (gorgeous view!) and food was delicious. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were attentive to our needs, and very pleasant. If there is anything to list as a negative, it is that the floors are polished but rustic wood, that will squeak when you walk around on them, but then, you're there because you want to feel the \"real Thai experience\", right? I don't know if being on the first floor and having a second floor resident would have been bothersome (no one was above us), but for us, the warm wood decor and Thai furnishings, just added to the atmosphere.

Just Wonderful!

At our arrival we got a free upgrade to the \"Deluxe Double Room with Pool Access\". The swimming pool was just amazing! Especially in the evening or at night the surrounding backlights gives the whole resort a magic touch. The rooms are very big with flat TV (USB playback possible) and the bathroom is enormous. Very strong water pressure and very hot water as well :-)
The staff is very friendly with big smiles and the breakfast is very tasty and has a good selection of (Salmon!). We will definitely come back again one day, as we enjoyed our stay very, very much!
