The staff was so friendly and professional. When the front desk attendant found out we had an early morning flight and would miss the hotel breakfast, she had four lunches packed to take with us. In addition, the restaurant staff gave us coffee to go even though they were not yet open.
The hotel location was fabulous, walking distance to shops and restaurants. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. We would definitely recommend and stay again!

Stayed for two nights and the staff were very nice and welcoming. Plus side is they have a mini fridge with drinks free of charge and cute notes around the room. Rooms were spacious and had everything one might need. Coffee machine, water etc. My stay was very comfortable. I didn’t get a chance to try their breakfast but would stay here again.

The hotel has pleasant, comfortable, quiet rooms and friendly, welcoming staff. It’s centrally located in Winterthur, about 10 minutes walk from the station. The breakfast was very much at the better end of breakfast at Swiss 4 start hotels.

The lobby is welcoming. The breakfast is first rate. The room looked brand new. Parking is a little tight but there is under ground parking we found out later. We enjoyed a nice walk about a block away where there is shops.

Great spot!! Parking included is a huge plus as parking in Switzerland can be very expensive. The family room was actually 2 adjoining rooms which we loved as a family of 5 we booked 2 family rooms which was 4 rooms and 4 bathrooms. Breakfast was amazing.

My GPS had me walking 12 min from the train. But there is a bus that drops you off right in front of the hotel…in case you don’t want to carry luggage that far.

An adequate hotel, with good food
All round, our stay was pleasant. The food was excellent, but being near Zurich, not cheap. If you look hard enough you can find some less pricey options. Some of the Swiss wines are good value, but if you want red wine you may need to look at the Aussie or Spanish offerings. Breakfast is included and very good, but get there early on a Saturday. We asked for a quiet room and it was, despite overlooking a main road. The bathroom was basic, but clean and adequate for a short stay. We asked for a soft bed, but the mattress was hard with only a thin duvet. Our first night was very restless. Second day we got a thicker mattress and that made the room bearable.
The staff in the dining area were great, if a little stretched. Some of the desk staff were pretty laid back though. All the staff we met spoke good English.

The Park in Winterthur is located in a great place. The friendly desk person greeted me by asking if I wanted a glass of red or white wine. The room was clean and very nice. The hotel offers easy walking access to the old shopping district of town I would defiantly stay here again.

The people at the front desk both when we checked in and checked out were very pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and the TV service provided many channels. Was even able to find a few channels with English speaking shows. The only problem that the room was too warm and we were unable to change the temp. even with the help from a hotel employee. The location was great, you can walk to a few streets/plaza for dinner or cafe. Overall a very nice place. I was surprised to find that a breakfast buffet was included in the rate. The buffet was larger than most I encountered and the food was fresh and delicious. I would stay here again.

there is not a great variety of hotel in Winterthur but this hotel is very good choice for business travel (and probably personal travel as well). well located to the center of town. modern and pleasant accommodation. I don't travel to this city much but certainly would stay here again if I did.

I hate not having a coffee machine......and therefore cannot give the hotel the stars it surely deserves, would have stayed elsewhere on that account alone. very helpful staff, clean rooms, great showers. Breakfast is terrific. Negatives for me were, internet was a bit slow and the room air conditioning never gets cold enough. It is always hovering around 22 - 23c.

The room was nice and comfortable. My only complaint as far as the room goes would be how they use two twin beds and push them together (which is a European thing) to make a full bed, which was extremely uncomfortable with the crack in the middle. The hotel was perfect location for everything I needed in Winterthur, walking distance to the walkplatz, train station, & a local pub. The breakfast that was offered free was GREAT! Had a great time and would love to go back!

This hotel, while not the most modern (although it is currently undergoing refurbishment - November 2013), is in a very good location. It is walking distance from Winterthur station. Service is excellent and the rooms are OK. The Bloom restaurant has some good food, but can be a bit pricey. Look out for the Irish pub down the road.

I have been staying at the Park hotel since 2004. It is the best international hotel in Wintherthure. My only dislike is the mattress are firm and I like a soft mattress, however all the mattress in Europe tend to be firmer that in the US.

A good hotel for anyone visiting the area
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Park Swiss Hotel in Winterthur and would have no hesitation in returning here. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and very helpful. The breakfast selection was good, and the bar and surroundings very pleasant. The evening meal menu looked good, but unfortunately we did not have time to eat in the hotel as we were visiting relations in Winterthur and a full programme had been arranged for us!

Easy walk from station, (less than 10 mins.) even with suitcases, or frequent bus service along main road in front of hotel. Staff extremely helpful and courteous, (needed assistance with free Wifi), wide selection for self serve breakfast, and an excellent dinner for a special occasion. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well appointed, a relative who lives in Winterthur also agreed and will definitely recommend the Hotel to other visitors.
