The whole entire reason for staying at this hotel was the free shuttle service. So we could stay after flying and get the early trains out the next day. Despite me asking on check in about the shuttle- just come down and the next day telling us to wait the shuttle be here. turns out the shuttle only comes when pre booked (WHY DIDNT ANYONE SAY When specifically asked). NO shuttle- told only solution is to walk to the tram (not far but through a construction site and with kids and bags- a faff & not what we signed upto. Missed the train- so had to wait 1 hour and waste the day. Wouldnt stay again- incompetent

The room was exactly what we needed, a base to sleep at for 2 nights. Airport transfer was great and made it so easy after a late flight. Staff friendly and happy to help.

Good connections into Zurich with the train station not far away. We found an Aldi across the road, which was convenient for our food and drink for the days out in Zurich.

Very run down and the first room I was given the lock box for the key was sliding around and the key wouldnt work. The front desk team also loudly announces your room number which is a big no no in the hospitality industry for safety reasons. Especially when seeing a lone female checking in. i had 2 different people for the different keys I had to get and they both did it. The shuttle also doesn't drop off at departures which means you have to lug your luggage around the whole airport to get checked in. Given the quality of the room, it should have been under $100 a night.

Hotel is clean and amenities are in good condition. It’s only 4 subway stops from Zurich HB and city center. The shuttle service to and from the airport is convenient. The only complaint is that our room wants cleaned two days in a row, which wasn’t a big deal as we only needed fresh towels.

The shuttle shuts down from 12 noon to 4 PM and our flight landed at 11:35 AM. We had to really rush from Terminal E to the main terminal, through immigration and all the way to the shuttle, which was quite remotely parked and barely made it ! We were checked in early, which was a good gesture after that experience. The room was OK, but the safe lacked batteries, for which the hotel didn't have a replacement. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station.

Starting off with the good is the airport shuttle and its convenient schedule. Reception staff was friendly. Unfortunately, I can't provide more positive comments.

I feel the pictures are very misleading. I had high hopes for a comfortable short stay in a bright colorful room as shown. However, I felt like I was in a motel. The room felt dark and outdated with old chipped furniture and safe.

The bathroom had a relatively high bathtub which in was inconvenient for me personally. I asked to change but showers were only available for disabled, which was already booked.

There was a lingering smell in the hallway and hotel itself isn't near anything. I managed to walk to a local bus station but that's all.

I would say this hotel is perhaps ok for a layover or overnight stay due to budget cost and proximity to airport.

Very convenient which is why we stay here but the last three times we've been there there has been something wrong. This time the light in the room didn't work needed a maintenance person to come in and they recommended changing rooms which was a hassle and didn't do it but they need to take better care of their rooms and they need to expedite check in

The room was clean, spacious, and reasonably priced. The hotel is a 5-minute cab ride (22 euros! Yikes!) from the airport; you can reportedly also get there by tram. Every 20 minutes during most of the day, there is a free shuttle back to the airport. The staff were very nice. The breakfast buffet, which was included in the price, was outstanding! It had almost everything you could want other than an omelet station. Even (to my astonishment) pine nuts, which are delicious, and $22 a pound in the U.S. Would definitely stay here again.

The instructions sent were bad. I notified the hotel that we're would be arriving after 11pm and was told to take the team a it was a short walk.
When we got off there was no indication which way to go. Most streets that looked like they went to the hotel were closed for construction and the streets were poorly lit. After 5 false routes we finally found the right one but there were no lights and it went through a tunnel. This brought us to the rear of the hotel. Again no signs to reception eventually we go to our room but there was only one bath towel for a \"family room\" with two people.
The room was very hot and there was no obvious way to adjust the temperature.

Close to the airport with hotel provided transport. Excellent breakfast but diners are on the pricey side with little to no lesser priced options. Found a half empty bottle of water in our room when we first arrived, which suggested that cleaning was not up to par. If traveling and in need of a close hotel to the airport, this would be an option.

The first room I got the shower walls were very dirty the second room the ceiling had cracks in it and the bathroom shower was still dirty but not as bad as the first one. The staff was friendly. I took video of the bathroom and the bed was worsted I ever seen in a hotel. They offer shuttle service but for free but they didn’t mention that from 12:01pm to 4pm there is no free shuttle to the airport you would have to pay CHF 20

The staff was incredibly helpful, and the restaurant was kind enough to “squeeze us in” even though they were booked up with reservations. Our meal was excellent and servers were really great.
The room was very clean the bed was comfortable, and the airport shuttle is super convenient. I would recommend this hotel.

The staff was very courteous; the room had a problem in that the a/c was off. A fan was provided. The TV didn't work but did become somewhat functional after an employee came to check on it. But I could not turn it on or off. The lamp on the desk/working area did not turn off. I had to unplug it. It did not turn on and off with the main room lights. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, well appointed, and the shower was very welcomed after a long day in the Alps and then traveling from Spiez to Zurich by train.

Le Chalet restaurant was very nice and the menu was diverse and the wild pig entrecote was delicious.
The breakfast buffet was large, delicious, and typically Swiss.

Reception staff were excellent. I stupidly left a very expensive gift box of if Neuhaus chocolates in the refrigerator at 9.30 a.m. Monday September 22. I realized when I arrived in Luzern at 11.00 a.m. I called. Spoke to Holla (?). She checked with housekeeping. Nothing. My wife was furious with me.

Never received a large bath towel. Lighting only in bathroom and a desk lamp. Called front desk and in minutes a friendly young maintenance man arrived. A small bedside lamp has been unplugged, and a larger floor lamp needed a bulb replaced. No instructions of how to use TV remote. BUT bed was comfortable and I slept well.

Its a very run down hotel. 3 of us Had to stay for one night. Chec-in was slow. Though there were four attendants none acknowledged only one of them was slowly checking in guests. NONE of the ataff acknowledged the arriving guests. Room was dated with stale smells. Room was warm on a summer afternoon- they were never prepared for the guests comfort.Bathroom had traces of mold and mildew. Only two towels provided for 3 occupants. No street lights around the property. Not even on the approach road.I think travel and hotel booking sites like expedia should not list such crappy properties.

The Hotel was ok but the parking situation deserves no more than one star. At a price of sfr 39 I would expect good size parking spaces and enough of them. I had to park my expensive Mercedes Rental Car in a spot where I could raffly get out, hoping the cars next to me would not scratch my rental car.

We stayed at Mövenpick in the middle of August and were extremely disappointed with the experience. This was, by far, the worst hotel we’ve stayed in this year.

Although breakfast was included in our reservation, the manager insisted we send a confirmation to her email — which was unusual and frustrating. Despite showing that it was included, we were still charged extra and had to pay out of pocket. Since this was a non-refundable booking, we had no way of resolving the issue financially.

The room itself was very uncomfortable. It was hot, poorly ventilated, and noisy — with disruptive sounds coming from inside the building that made it almost impossible to sleep. The property feels outdated, the bedding was of very poor quality, and essential amenities like shampoo and conditioner were not provided. Room service was also extremely disappointing — slow, careless, and not worth the cost.

Overall, this stay fell far below the standard we expected from a Mövenpick property. We will not be staying here again and would not recommend it to others.
