My friend and I stayed at this perfectly located hotel in the Kloten neighborhood of Zürich. We were one very short bus ride, three minutes, from the airport. The hotel itself is situated in a neighborhood that has plenty of options for a grocery stores, restaurants, and small shops. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Kloten train station that will take you on a 15 minute ride into Zürich HB, the main downtown area. The staff were very professional and friendly, the rooms were standard size for a Zürich hotel, and was very clean and functional for our five nights stay. Do not be fooled by the location being next to the airport, it is not noisy at all, and the room was completely soundproof. I would definitely stay here again.

Restaurant was convenient and dinner was delicious. We walked to and from the airport (ZRH) because the weather was nice and it was only 0.75 mile. There is also a bus, easy to catch.
Nice staff. Kept our luggage safely when we arrived early, so we could explore Zurich. A short train ride to downtown. We would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was extremely comfortable and quiet. It would have been really useful if someone had given me direction on how to get there because I ended up being scammed by a taxi for 35 Swiss francs to travel 1 km when I could have easily taken the bus for 3 francs if I’d known. Otherwise, the hotel had great service and great rooms.

The hotel itself was pleasing and some staff were very helpful and knowledgeable while others acted like it was their first day on the job and they knew nothing about the area. My family spent almost $80 CHF to look for some place to eat when ended with us on the street at the back of the hotel at a greek restaurant. The employee who checked us in claimed there were no restaurant near the hotel. More over the hotel resturant claimed they could not accommodate a family of 6 people after 8pm. VERY DISAPPOINTING

Have been traveling for a month and this was the worst check in we had. I think the staff at the front desk have the belief that it was our privilege to stay at this property. There was one person ahead of us and one person at the check in. As I lined up she said to me, “please go sit down and when I am ready I will call you.” Sat there for about 10 more minutes and I was then “blessed” to be checked in.

The first thing she said without any greeting or anything was, “This is a non smoking hotel.” I said it doesn’t matter as I don’t smoke. With this she said, “well how am I to know that”. I thought wow….here we go.

At completion of check in she said if we wanted to check in now as it was 1230 it would be 30 CHF. She had already assigned our room as it was written in the key holder jacket. I asked if our room was ready and she said yes but would be 30. This is nothing but a cash grab.

In our month of travelling we checked in early half the time and never were charged. This was 2.5 hours early than check in. I said that we would leave our bags. Then I wheeled my bags to the end of the counter. There were now four staff members there and none of them were with guess. Totally ignored for two minutes until I said, can I get some service” instead of apologizing they tried turning it on me for being impatient. They need some training in verbal judo. Worse service ever at a check in from a traveler to more than 50 countries.

Rooms were great though ….just expect rudeness.

This was handy for the airport. We just took the local bus from the airport bus station when we arrived and again in the morning back to the airport. It is just a few metres to the hotel from the bus stop. It’s literally 3 bus stops. the hotel is lovely and we have nothing to moan about at apart from some noisy guests in the corridor.

Comfortable, stylish and welcoming hotel in an excellent location for Zürich airport and travelling into the city.
Cosy, warm ambience in the reception and throughout the bar and dining areas, although very quiet and seemingly underused by guests during the evening.
Maybe due to flight schedules or, more than likely, because the rooms were really very comfortable, quiet and tasteful.
I put the mini fridge to use and ate in the room when arriving back late.
In reception, there is a 'grab and go' selection of snacks, drinks and toiletry essentials which can be paid for later.
Staff were friendly and helpful, particularly those at breakfast times. Nothing was a problem or too much to ask. The buffet selection at breakfast offered good variety, decent coffee and a calm, relaxing space.
Location wise, it was perfect for me: bus stop to airport just across the road ( apparently the airport is also walkable, about 20 mins) and local station, Kloten, for trains into Zürich an easy 10 minute walk away.
The immediate area had several restaurants, bars and a very useful Aldi Suisse.
Overall, the Leonardo Zürich Airport hotel is a great choice for many reasons mentioned above, plus the room rates were very reasonable for this level of comfort. I would definitely choose to stay here again when I next visit.

This hotel deserves the high rating it's getting. It's super clean and nice decor but I was amazed at how quiet it was. We opened the window and realized just how loud the planes were but once we closed them, absolutely no noise! It was the best night sleep we had on vacation! The hotel front desk was super friendly - we chatted about her upcoming trip. We didn't eat the breakfast.

Proximity to the airport is the only positive. Hotel charges early check-in fee, even when rooms are readily available. You can’t borrow a Swiss plug/adapter, they are for sale at the front desk. Everything is designed to milk you. Customer experience is secondary.

The property and staff were very good. The location is convenient to airport and train stations but in undesirable area. The mattress are extremely hard but comfortable. The restaurant food is excellent.

This airport hotel is good so I am being critical as I do not like Zurich. Could have flown back late Sunday & missed hotel. City station airport business oriented rather than tourist. Signage train S and airport poor till after check in, help areas limited. NIederdorf disappointing place to be seen rather than atmosphere, old town limited, lake did not see left luggage full. Been to Geneva in pastwhich was good. Probably should have stopped at Lucerne so my mistake

The issue with the Leonardo is that they do not have air conditioning. The hotel only has a fan system and it does not seem to provide much cooling. You cannot just leave you window open because the hotel is just off the Zurich Airport runway and the jet noise is serious. The Leonardo hotel is fine for Winter, but I would not stay there in Summer.

We enjoyed staying at the Leonardo Hotel. It was a quiet location. Walking distance to Zurich Airport was about 15 mins. Or you could use the bus right across the hotel. It was close to Migros, a Swiss supermarket.
The hotel was clean and the service was excellent. We definitely would stay there again.

This hotel is perfectly convenient for my regular trips to Zurich.
Close to the airport and the tram takes me directly to the university hospital. There's a bus stop outside which has a regular service to the airport. Be aware you must purchase before you get on the bus. No contactless payments can be made.
I'll be back next time I'm in Zurich

Excellent choice for a stay close to the airport. The property is conveniently located across the street from a bus station and the airport is only 2 stops away. The property is modern, spotless and very comfortable. The train station for downtown Zurich is at the airport and very easy to get to. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed the proximity to the Zurich airport and the breakfast (not included) was a nice spread.

They do not offer a shuttle from the airport, but told us whey do offer shuttle return to airport. Unfortunately, they told us the day we were to leave that we needed to request the shuttle 24 hours in advance. That is not possible for a one night stay. No matter though, taxi is a short distance. Outside of breakfast and dinner, food options are limited and ther aren't any restaurants near.

The position is strategic. Easy to reach even by walk. However,
- the shuttle service is not offered by the hotel. The shuttle drivers ask for $20. The reception doesn't mention anything about payment of any fees.
- the WC was dirty and with only one toilette paper roll.
- the heating fan in the room was not working and the temperature could not be adjusted.
- the minibar is empty and it's precisely explained that it's a choice of the hotel. So, you can just keep your own food refrigerated.
- the staff is not very helpful
Conclusion: good just for one night before taking the flight

Front desk tells you to book through a third party website. When third party website glitches and books the wrong night, front desk and management are no help. Expedia is no help either. Both say it’s your fault. Ended up having to make another reservation through the front desk for almost double the price. Don’t stay here.
