Its hot in Zurich and our 1st room was so hot we could not stand it. The girl at front desk took pity on us, and upgraded us to a room with larger windows that opens. The Dyson Cool is totally ineffective at 29C temps. You need to get proper sir conditining system.

So it was awful! A hotel with pretty nice ratings, near the city center and at the end such an awful experience!!!! The stuff was so excited that the could \"UPGRADE\" our rooms... and at the end this is what we got! I am afraid to imagine what would we get without an upgrade!!!! Now i understand that the stuff just make us a joke!!! The \" GREAT BREAKFAST\" is the poorest and cheapest i had! No problem with that but don't charge such a ridiculous price for that! Never ever will come back! Visiting Zurich 3-4 times a year! Do not recommend !

Tough walk from the train station, but beautiful high on the hill. Good dining options and convenient groceries. Breakfast definitely not worth the price. Bed was comfortable enough. Free drinks were very nice and lovely balcony. The bathroom is bizarre. The sink was very small, the shower was hot, cold then no pressure then high pressure. Awful

My room was missing a lamp shade, had horrible pillows, had a tap that splashed water all over, no air conditioning. It did have a safe, fan, helpful staff, apples in the lobby, free mini bar on the first night.

I am usually not picky about hotels, but I didn't love this one. It is very uphill to get to the hotel from the main attractions around (about 20 minutes of uphill) -- so if you are a walker, this is not great unless you enjoy being a sweaty disaster at all times.

In terms of sleeping, the duvet only covered 3/4 of the bed, which was not ideal if you enjoy covers while sleeping. Also, it was SUPER loud. The hotel is located beside a very busy street and we heard people until wee hours of the night. (There is no AC, so it was necessary to keep the window cranked at least a little bit).

When we checked in the attendant could not find out paperwork so he asked me to sign a blank form that he would fill out later -- this seemed a bit sketchy. On the day we checked out the house keepers kept coming to our room and knocking on the door despite our checkout not being for another 2 hours.

On the upside, there were complementary drinks in the mini-bar and a grocery store and bakery very close by, but those were the only upsides for us.

The hotel was conveniently located near a tram station, just a 2 min walk (which takes you the central areas). The hotel had a fridge in the room, no a/c but luckily we came when it was cool outside at night (September), they do provide a fan. They had lifts/elevators. The room was cleaned everyday and there was plenty of space to put our bags. It was nice that they had a stocked fridge and offered a few complimentary drinks. Breakfast is not included but can be added for a few. There is a small grocery store (coop) right next door that sells the basics and a few liquor and wine options. There is also a bakery and a few restaurants nearby. Lastly, there is a dominoes just a 3 min tram ride or 15 min walk.

Room was extremely stuffy with no air circulation or air conditioning. Opening a window did not help, but it did let the loud noise in from outside. Zero soundproofing between rooms. Bed felt like a slab of concrete. No flat sheet on bed. Needed something lighter than a down comforter given the hot weather. Due to a combination of above, getting any sleep was extremely challenging! Lobby was dirty.

Hotel has no WiFi and no plans to improve Tech

Nemec was incredibly friendly and helpful manning the concierge desk. However, the WiFI connection was so bad that one can't even check emails, check Zurich city recommendations, or download Zurich online maps. Don't advertise that your hotel has strong WiFi for international visitors when WiFi at hotel home base is basically non-existent. It's an important criteria many international visitors rely on for travel planning. Ruined our Zurich experience.

This Hotel is just a short 10 min trip out of the main area of Zurich on a tram line away from the hustle of the inner city. The Leonardo has small rooms and no air conditioning making a stay in warm weather uncomfortable. The bathroom and facilities are equally small so if you are taller than 185cm showering without damage to your elbows is a challenge. The bedding was interesting with a quilt cover that was smaller than the bed size. Not so bad in warm weather, could be a challenge for a couple when it is colder. Staff are great and very helpful with some good tips should you be seeking their advice. Overall Ok though probably would not receive the four star rating

Check want pleasing and did not offer any information. We asked about the restaurant and informed front desk that we just drove from Venice. She not inform us the restaurant will close at 10 pm.. We freshen up went to eat and it was closed! Also no air conditioners and it was so hot my husband was sick from the heat and was in bed the entire 2 days...

Zurich is very hot during summer around 32 degree celsius, can u imagine u stay in the room with NO AC !! And a lot of inserts beside your bed.. it’s terrible. Also, my room is very noisy because it’s next to the railway and road. When u finally fall asleep, the clock tower will ring in every morning-_- you can’t sleep.

Great affordable Hotel in central Zurich

This hotel is a great find in the hear of Zurich. Clean, comfortable and friendly. We stayed 11 days, staff was friendly, service was great. Transportation around the city is right out the front door,.Only comment I can make is they do not have AC in their rooms and we had a couple 85 degree days and the rooms stayed hot until late at night. Its a personal thing if your used to having AC. My wife and I will stay at this hotel again.

A convenient, comfortable hotel

Check in wasn’t till 3 PM which I found inconvenient. Also the bed seemed a bit soft for my taste (though not bad). The room was clean and I like the location—an easy walk to the center of town and near the Kunsthalle. I would recommend having breakfast at a nearby bakery instead of in the hotel. A better bargain for the money. I enjoyed my dinner of Mezze at the hotel, however.

Also, used the door tag as directed to receive in room breakfast on my last day. Put it on my door as directed before 4am (put it 9pm night before) Woke up, no breakfast. Checked the door tag and it was still there. Why give the option if no one will check??

Nice hotel but disrupted night

The hotel was well located and check in staff were very friendly. However, at around midnight on my first night a member of staff knocked on my door and pushed his way into my room saying there was an alarm raised. After looking round my room and seeing nothing out of place he left without saying anything to me. I wasn't sure what the alarm was for or if he was coming back. It didn't give me a great impression of the hotel and not what I needed after a long day of travelling!

Water temperature from the shower was erratic. After u’ve adjusted it to the optimal temperature desired, it goes on a rollercoaster ride between optimal temperature to cold water and then hot water which scalds u.

One of the worst hotel experiences

Staff were cold, rude, and unhelpful. Parking is in the back of building but you are expected to carry your suitcases up and down a long stairs to get to your car. There are elevators go down right to the back door but hotel staff forbid you to use it even though they see you are a lady with two pieces of 50lbs luggage. The room is nice and clean, however a loud church bell just outside of the window rings every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. In addition, at 7 am every morning it rings for 10 minutes non-stop, determined to wake the whole city. God forbid if you plan to sleep past 7. Location is inconvenient if you are staying to do the typical touristy things. Its a bit far to walk to downtown and not really worth it to take public transportation.

Good hotel but no air conditioning which was the worst thing being in Europe in August - only had a fan which did nothing. Small room, thought it would be bigger.

Buffet breakfast had a great selection - happy with that. Great staff.

Overall it wasn't bad - fine for an overnight stay, nothing more.

Nice hotel and can be reached by tram no.10 from airport or central train station which is stopped a bit in front of the hotel. But no air conditioner in the room it is not comfort to sleep during summer time. For other seasons would be comfortable.

Nice hotel as long as you don't visit when it is hot. We walked into our room and a wall of heat hits you. They give you a tiny fan but really only moves the hot air around. Luckily our room had a balcony so we were able to open the door to let out some of the heat. It was at least 10 degrees cooler outwside than our room. Otherwise the hotel is very comfortable. They provide water, apples and suck candies in the lobby. Breakfast is expensive but Micros and Coop only steps from the hotel and each room has a mini fridge. It is a bit of a hike to city centre but the Tram stops literally outside your door.
