we arrived after a 9-hour drive expecting to check in at 4:00 pm, but the front desk agent, almost laughing about it, told us they were still waiting for housekeeping to prepare our room. it wasn’t ready until 5:30 pm, and we had plans scheduled just 30 minutes later there were also several other issues: the room didn’t have a proper mirror besides a very small one in the bathroom, and we were given the wrong door code. after returning later, we couldn’t get back into our room because of it

This Was a Family trip. The beds were comfy but the roof was very loud at Night like this sound of rats Running over the roof. But it wasn’t rats, it Was the snowstorm. Dropping big amounts of Snow on the roof. So we weren't able to sleep pretty well in the middle of the night. The staff was really Nice From the Desk Man to the housekeepers. Cody and the crew are rockstars. Everyone on staff was more than happy to help with any questions or needs that came up for my wife and I. The grounds are very nice as well. The room itself was just fine for us. We found it plenty clean and comfortable. We’re pretty low maintenance so if you’d need more than a warm room, a bed, a tv, and a hot shower, this might not be the place for you. There’s some good eats in walking distance (we went to Margaritas and the Burger Lounge) along with a 7/11 and a cool thrift store about a block away. Oh and this place is pet friendly too! This was the second time we’ve stayed here and we’re sold. Thanks!

By far one of the best places we’ve stayed at in Lake Tahoe! What made it even more convenient was the fact that we had a stovetop so we saved so much money on going out to eat! Staff was very friendly and so was the front desk manager! I would definitely recommend staying here again!!!

It was ok. With the pictures I thought that a suite was a private cabin, but it is just a regular room with shared walls. It was fine, definitely on the rustic side, but it was on the charming side. I think I would try another place next time though.

It was okay. It was cheap, and I got what I paid for. The lone staff member whom should have been at the front desk for my check in was at wal mart. He left his number taped to the desk and was able to provide the code for room entry at least when I called him. That’s a first for me. Also the front desk office area wreaked of pot. Not a big deal to me, but frankly extremely unprofessional. Just smoke a bowl out back buddy.
The AC was too small and had trouble cooling the room, the room was clean though, and aside from that it was fine. It was a $250 room, but on a very busy weekend, and it was the cheapest thing around. It was worth no more than $100 on a typical weekend though.

Bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Walls were paper thin so you could hear every conversation and action next door. No AC. Bare minimum furnishings. No side tables in the bedroom. No screen on the bathroom window looked out onto an alley. Stick on decorative frostings on the windows that weren’t fully stuck. No shades. Shower door was from 1956. The pool was filled with mud. Not a great experience at all and certainly not worth the money. The coffee was good at least.

There is no excuse for rodents in a guest room, especially when children are involved. Not only was it disgusting and stressful, but the lack of basic customer care made everything worse.
If you value your health, sleep, and peace of mind, avoid this place at all costs. This was by far the most unprofessional and unsanitary lodging experience we’ve ever had.

It was extremely overpriced. The kitchen cabinets had most of the hardware missing off of them. There was a hole in the wall in the kitchen where you could see outside the large sliding window the lock was missing so anyone could come in at any time. It was so small that you barely had room to walk past the bed to get into the bathroom. There was no lights that worked the breaker tripped so we woke up to no coffee machine in the refrigerator had went off. It had a nice pool, but there was no water in it. The property outside was very pretty had large trees in a nice sitting area in the staff was nice but again this is $100 a night hotel that I was charged 250 a night for.

No hot water. They have a sign in the bathroom to run the water for three minutes so the hot water kicks in. Well it never did. Impersonal customer service. They have a sign to call the numbers listed. As I was checking out & make them aware about the lack of hot water, they told me I didn’t need to do anything, they’ll take care of charging my card. When I mentioned I wanted to speak to someone since I didn’t get to shower, a lady came to the front area. She said she would speak to the manager about any credit. When I asked her what card she had on file, she told me her computer system was down & couldn't pull up my information. Walls are thin in the room, you can hear other people’s conversations & their alarm clock in the morning. In the end, I only received a small credit & still ended up paying $200 for a room with no hot water. Unfortunate experience.

This place is disappointing in that it appears to have once been charming. It is in disarray. The ice machine doesn't work, the pool was empty. Empty flower pots, Front lobby was closed with a sign to text to check in. Outdoor furniture needs updating. The place has excellent bones and a great location it's just not taken care of. It was clean which is appreciated. The location is great. Burger place next door is yummy. Hopefully the owners can take some pride and put a little upkeep in a place that could be great.

Well first it was late at night had to call a number to get checked in after unloading all my cargo from my motorcycle which took some time to do. I arrive around 12-130ish or so. I get its late but man after a 6 hour motorcycle ride in the blistering heat wanted to take a shower yeah nope couldnt do that because there wasnt any hot water avaliable at the time. So fell asleep all nasty uncomfortable bed wasnt the best. The service was horrible nobody insight to take care of this matter. Only reason they are in a scale is because of the lady cleaning the rooms felt so bad. Be also recommended places she apologized heavily. Either way worse experience ever. But i was told i was going to be taken care of by hotels for this horrible experience. Thanks hotels.com

Called hotel about 4 times, finally got a hold of someone and they said wrong room so they were gonna text us new room. Finally got a text with new room number. After 30 mins of being in our room, someone tried opening our door because they also received wrong room number. Felt so unsafe, will never come back. This was the worse place I stayed. We stayed for 2 nights and both days no hot water. I let them know and they stated was braker. Never got hot water luckily my daughter was staying next door and used her shower. Did not even offer anyone to look at it, or switch us rooms or anything of reimbursement. Then my daughters bed had a insect in it and her boyfriend got bit. I have proof. Will never stay there again. Our room number was 112 not hot water the whole stay. Room 111 had the bug in the bed.

The worst place I’ve stayed on a vacation ever!!! No housekeeping, the room is too small, I can ever hear the people next door talking and snoring at midnight. They didn’t change linens, the bulbs are not working, the electric fan was too noisy to use, if you are tall and big you won’t fit it the shower. Terrible terrible place!!!!

Not worth it
I didn’t expect much going into it as I knew it was a lower rate, but it was probably the worst room we have stayed in. Our non-smoking room smelt so heavily of smoke and some sort of fragrance spray they had tried to use to cover the smell. All of our allergies were out of control the entire weekend when we were in the room because of that so we were miserable. There were spiders in every corner of the room, including the shower. The shower needed a good scrubbing as you could see mildew build up on corners, no ac in the room and all the screens were either broken or there weren’t one. No counter spaces. Luckily we had no plans to use the pool as it was empty with only about a foot of black water left in it. During check in no one was there and was advised to lift the tissue box and to grab a certain card # but all the other cards also under the tissue box displayed room #s and the codes to enter those rooms so not the most safe way to go about. Would not recommend to anyone.

We really liked the family cabin. It had it's own entrance which was nice. You could tell it was an old building but had a modern day vibe. There's a burger place right next door in case you get hungry.

Smelled like there was a gas leak. Stove did not work. Heater did not work. Missing corbon monoxide detecter. Kitchen and bathroom windows did not have screens. There was missing floor boards. Floor was dirty. Shower floor had loose grout. Door code took a few tries to work and door nob felt very loose. Walls were different colors, did not look estheticly pleasing. When we went to take our dogs out we spotted a bear in the parking lot. We were unaware of this danger. Very outdated facility. Not worth the price we paid.

The room was super small, no ac, but the moment I touched the bed I knew we weren’t staying here. We spent less than 15 minutes there. We didn’t even take our things out of the car. I knew if we’d stay we wouldn’t sleep. It was for my birthday weekend and I didn’t care about the lose of money. As you can see we booked a different hotel the same day. The second hotel was way better.

Ok the service here was great. I wish I could rate it full stars for the service alone. Downsides were that The pool was out of service, but I wasn’t expecting it to be open anyways, and the pool wasn’t advertised. Also there is no AC in the rooms and I need the temp to be very cold when I sleep so that was a dealbreaker for us booking there again. Also, at one point we opened the back window (which had no screen) and there was a bear outside the window because the trash cans were literally right outside the back of our window. So in addition to it being hot, we couldnt open the back window to get airflow because the bear lunged at my husband when he had looked out there. Very clean, water was scalding hot, or cold, had to find the sweet spot.
