The hotel itself fitted our purpose. Best described as an Italian Premier Inn; It achieves what you need in a hotel without the frills and at a reasonable price.
The staff were friendly and helpful and rooms were clean and quiet at night.
So if you’re looking for a bed for the night and spending your day on excursions like we did then it’s absolutely fine.
If, however, you are looking to be immersed in Bologna then this hotel is literally on the wrong side of the tracks. It is situated North of the city train station (where the monorail from the airport connects) and not in the centre of Bologna (hence the price). Because of this it is not so touristy shall we say. The area is very much more “real world”, some would probably say rough.
But to be fair, it’s not threatening in any way, it’s just not pretty, just as the outskirts of any tourist city is to be fair.
So in conclusion: reasonably priced hotel, friendly staff, not pretty location.

Specious room. breakfast was good. lots of options. the only problem this is 3 mile far from the city center and there not many restaurants around. if you are planning to come from City center then you will have to take the 11C bus to get to the hotel. Bus stops right infront of the hotel. Stop name \"villa berbosa\".

Upon arrival the man at reception was very friendly, but unfortunately this wasn't the case with the lady upon departure who was not very welcoming. The location is a little dodgy but the hotel itself is very nice and breakfast really good also.

No evening meal available and not much in the neighbourhood either other than an ok pizza place just round the corner the neighbourhood looks a bit dubious when you arrive but the car wss ok overnight so i guess it's ok.

Good hotel for a one-night business trip. A warning if you're using google maps - it sent me to a totally different address and it took me an hour to find my way! Best to double check directions. Hotel itself is nice, good internet, decent breakfast in the morning and helpful front desk staff. Hotel is only a 20 minute walk from the station and there's a bus stop in front of it which takes you to the center of Bologna in 20 minutes.

Not worth the cost

Friendly and helpful staff

We enjoyed it very much. The only thing to consider is that there is a lack of green space for your pet in the local area, if you are traveling with one. We had to walk for about 10-15 minutes to find a park. Aside fro that, I would stay there again.

Nice, Clean Room, Free Wifi.Breakfast is great. Complementary coffe (espresso, capuccino, pastries. Staff is reall y nice (Raul). The only comment would be to get softer pillows.There is an awsome Napolitanean restaurant \"La Reginetta\" very close to the hotel. New Bologna Marconi Airport is less than 10min, 10 euro taxi ride. Downtown is also 10 min.

The hotel was clean and modern. My oly complaint was that the room was tiny, so though the bed slept two we were constantly in each others way when trying to get to the bathroom, or by each other to the door, etc.

This hotel has excellent customer service. It was about a 12 euro cab ride from the train station so not within walking distance. The rooms were very large for the average Italian hotel that we stayed in throughout our trip. The only comment of concern was that the mattress was a little too firm for our liking. The breakfast buffet area was very extensive. It's a nice place.

A nice hotel for business stays

The Hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful however the hotel is not close sights or the train, which meant that unless you were prepared to wait for the bus or had a car, it was difficult to get out and about. The Hotel only serves breakfast and with only one restaurant nearby, you had to ensure that you had eaten prior to returning to the hotel. Internet/WiFi was not the best either. A very nice hotel with very nice people but not in a good location for a family holiday.

We were totally satisfied with the hotel. The staff was very accommodating and very pleasant. The hotel was clean, clean, clean! We were more than satisfied with the breakfast and the room where breakfast was served. One evening we asked to use the dining room area to have a light supper. We had purchased meat, bread, olives, cheese wine and sweets during the day as we visited Bologna. The staff said we of course could use the room and to enjoy our evening. The staff supplied us with a bucket of ice each evening so we could meet in one of our rooms and reflect on the day we spent visiting the surrounding areas. We were a family of seven adults traveling. Our rooms were beautiful. We would definitely stay at a Hc3 Hotel on another visit.

Excellent, beautiful hotel and a fantastic value for money. The weekend rates are ridiculously low and everything promised on expedia was delivered at or above the level we were expecting. Really great place, couldn't recommend it more.

I stayed at the hotel for it's convenient position to the Bologna Fair. An easy twenty five mins walk, or a seven euro taxi ride away, the hotel is well placed for business travellers to the fair. It's a quick ten euro taxi ride into town if you want to experience one of the many excellent restaurants.

This hotel did not live up to my expectations ..it did say we could walk to cosmoprof but really it was a taxi ride.
It was just ok, not near any restaurants apart fron one pizzeria so you need to go out looking for food

It is an independent hotel if that makes a difference. Well kept, refreshment and finger food available at all times. Nice breakfast buffet. A little out of the way since all the action in Bologna seems to be concentrated in the town center. Cab ride will run you about 10 euros. Bologna is a very cool town - I enjoyed my time there.

Hotel HC3 in a suburb of Bologna

This modern hotel is in a OK suburb of Bologna with good access to a bus service into the City centre. The only restaurant in the area is a pizzaria which, when open, is very busy. The hotel provides chilled pre-prepared meals and a microwave for the desperate. Breakfasts are meagre. There is aircon in the rooms but is switched off randomly by the staff. There is free coffee and WiFi will set you back €5 a day! We will not be going there again.

Excellent hotel, a little way out of the center of Bologna but well located for the trade fair centre. Friendly and helpful staff, clean but compact rooms finished to a good standard. Only difficulty was lack of an iron in the room but one call to reception and they took away my shirts and pressed them for me. Great service.

Although this hotel is new insulation has nowhere been used. It is very noisy to say the least. We could have breakfast between 7 and 11, but at 9 there was no bread anymore?? There is no wireless connection possibility except for the ground floor.(business hotel?!). Every Internet connection costs at least 5€, I had to pay 20€ for three days. The underground garage is a joke. You have to be an exceptional driver to use this without bumping your car. In short ... Stay out of this hotel!

This hotel was simply a wonderful experience! Francesca at the front desk is absolutely a delight. She was so warm, welcoming and helpful during our stay. She recommended the best Italian restaurant only minutes from the hotel and was such a joy to talk to. You can tell that she loves her job and wants to take care of the guests. Our experience with the manager in the morning was equally pleasant. This hotel is very clean and comfortable. A definite boutique style hotel that goes above and beyond to take care of their guests by offering suggestions, unlimited coffee, beverages, snacks throughout the day, breakfast and free internet access! I would absolutely recommend this hotel

An exceptional hotel property

This is a boutique-type hotel, whose owners obviously spent time determining what, exactly, creates a relaxing, pleasant environment for travelers. This property has it all: soothing colors, relaxing common rooms, snacks available throughout the day (displayed for guest consumption in the dining room, another of several well-thought-out common spaces). The hotel is about 12 blocks from the train station (Bologna Centrale) and the old quarter, but that is precisely the type of location for an excellent's night's rest with the window open (in summer). Superb service, beautiful rooms, exceptional common areas. A delight!

Vado frequentemente all’HC3 quando sono a Bologna per lavoro. Continua a mantenere un buon livello per la comodità delle camere, la tranquillità della zona, la possibilità di parcheggio, e la colazione, continentale, standard senza fronzoli (le uova strapazzate ci vorrebbero però!) e ad un buon prezzo.

Ho alloggiato al HC3 diverse volte negli ultimi 15 anni. È rimasto pressoché invariato. Commento positivo e negativo, naturalmente. Con gli standard di oggi si considererebbe un hotel 3 stelle ( per quanto queste abbiano un valore limitato). Ottima pulizia, stanze comode e bagno non grande ma comodo. Colazione continentale ma senza uova strapazzate (solo sode). Buoni croissant e poco altro, frutta.
Per lavoro o soggiorni brevi resta un’ottima scelta per la zona Bolognina (CNR, fiere). Quasi l’unico in zona. Personale sbrigativo, ma gentile.

Durante il mio soggiorno, il personale addetto alla colazione si è comportato in modo scortese, facendomi sentire a disagio semplicemente per aver consumato una bevanda fuori menù. Ho notato un atteggiamento simile anche nei confronti di altri ospiti, ai quali è stato fatto pesare persino il semplice fatto di ridere e mostrarsi di buon umore.

Forse questo comportamento era legato al ritardo nell’allestimento della sala buffet, che all’orario previsto (7:00) non era ancora pronta. Il personale sembrava infastidito dalla pressione dei clienti che, comprensibilmente, attendevano di poter fare colazione.

Pur comprendendo lo stress e le difficoltà personali che chiunque può avere, ritengo inaccettabile un trattamento del genere in un hotel a quattro stelle.

Vengo all'H3C da diversi anni. Resta un hotel comodo per zona bolognina (fiera, futuro Tecnopolo, CNR), anche abbastanza moderno, con i piedi per terra. Ma comincia a far sentire i suoi anni. Camere pulitissime, ma con servizi che cominciano a risentire di piccole riparazioni, e del periodo di realizzazione. La colazione continentale, nel confronto con altri hotel (soprattutto stranieri) non regge più, per varietà e anche qualità (buona, ma non eccelsa, e siamo a Bologna...). Servizio di caffè/the al piano carente. Insomma, continuo a consigliarlo a tutti senza remore, ma consiglio anche alla proprietà di pensare al futuro...

The hotel is what you can expect from an older hotel in Italy: everything is clean, staff is very friendly, but when you look at the details it's not that great.
AC in gym didn't work during our stay, so was really warm. Staff also mentioned this when asked for the gym.

Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb des Stadtzentrums, welches jedoch sehr gut mit dem Bus zu erreichen ist. Die Haltestelle ist direkt am Hotel.

Overall clean and fine. I like the Tee table in the floor. The Staff was very friendly and talk with smile. My bed was very comfortable. It was very pleasure for me to stay in this hotel. I feel like as same like my own home.
Hc3 hotel members a big respect for all of u and ur nice service.

Grande tranquillità

A parte al check in dove abbiamo trovato una persona evidentemente non in buona giornata,che,anche se cortese, ci ha trattato con sufficienza e indifferenza senza neanche un sorriso o darci i benvenuti all'Hotel, come se fossimo clienti di serie \"B\". altri reception invece, sempre disponibili e con il sorriso.
Come Hotel, molto pulito, silenzioso, comodo, ottima posizione con fermata del bus di fronte, che in 10 minuti ti porta in centro.
ottima la colazione internazionale, eccellente il caffè.
quotidiani disponibili nella hall, sala attrezzi sportivi. ottimi servizi,
in zona tranquilla con poco traffico e leggermente defilato dalla strada.
Materasso troppo duro, ma dipende dai gusti, camera sufficientemente silenziosa. Consigliato a tutti.

Magnifico e confortevole, durante la notte silenzio da sogno, non si sentiva volare una mosca, come si suol dire, bagno confortevole e al contrario di molti hotel rubinetti che non schizzano e doccia grande con un magnifico getto d'acqua, colazione ottima in una sala enorme, piena di luce e spaziosa per muoversi, di conseguenza ci ritorneremo, a proposito dell'ubicazione dell'Hotel a 10 metri comoda fermata bus per il centro

Das Hotel liegt in einer Seitenstraße. In die Innenstadt geht man ca. 45 Minuten, es gibt auch eine nahegelegene Busstation. Die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Ok, ma quella ventola!

Un solo rillievo che spero aiuti i titolari dell'albergo a offrire ai clienti un servizio migliore: dare la possibilità di spegnere la ventola dell'aria. L'aria fredda che diffondeva era molto fastidiosa.
