I felt really at home in this Hotel. Very good location, excelent room with a lot of space and wonderful bathroom.
Good Breakfast, only two points which the hotel could improve are:

Safe in the room
Some other type of bred in the Breakfast

In summary, a very good Hotel to recommend.

Very convenient, clean and nice hotel in Bolognina. I like that part of Bologna. It's quiet, and, if you don't mind walking, you could walk to the center city in 25-30 mins. Or you can go by bus in 10 mins. Very nice option for a stay in Bologna.

From the welcome at past midnight my flight was delayed until after checked and picked up luggage from storage the staff was simply SUPER and the hotel is well deserving of its rating of excellent

Food was good though I had fond memory of the breakfasts at best western in Switzerland more than a decade ago
Overall it was a great decision to stay there

Terrible 4-star hotel

Definitely not worthy of the 4 stars that it’s listed as. Tv remote went flat and I couldn’t off the tv. When I called the reception, he said he can’t tell from his counter and I was supposed to deliver the remote to him to check. Service on cleaning the room was terrible as well. Toilet bowl not scrubbed. Seems like I needed to clean it myself.. so much for a 4 star! Also, no water provided and the tap water had residue in it. Showers were extremely small even for my wife’s built. Definitely won’t recommend to stay there.

Very comfortable only issue was they do not cater for people who like milk in their tea the room had a kettle and tea and coffe no milk and when asked at reception they said sorry no.
Next day asked again at reception and was given a couple small milk portions i asked for more as we like a tea before bed and when we get up.

Had booked Superior rooms but the air conditioning was totally off in that section of hotel but check in clerk didn't tell us and so we had to come back down with all luggage and change rooms to another wing of hotel and then we did not have 3 rooms all together like the first rooms. The clerk was cooperative in helping us to change to new rooms and all went well from there. Hotel was not in great section of town so did not feel comfortable walking around at night to find place to eat so stayed close by within a few blocks. Went to great restaurant Le Rose recommended by hotel clerk and enjoyed a good meal there.

Fantastic Hotel

Fantastic hotel. I am usually very fussy about cleanliness, climate (air-conditioning) and the bathroom, so if I am happy, 95% of everyone else will likely be as well.
Lobby had self-serve tea service 24/7. WiFi was convenient and fast.
We were in a family room (which is actually 2 separate rooms with their own doors and then a foyer and a main door). One room was bigger than the other, so presumably it was for the parents (we claimed it anyway). The AC in the children's room was freezing, and after reporting it the first morning, the thermostat was adjusted.
There is a parking garage at the hotel, so we could park our rental car for free.
Supermarket is just a block away, and there were quite a few Chinese restaurants nearby, so I was not sure if we were in Chinatown or something. The Sichuan restaurant named Yummy about 2 blocks away is fantastic.

Convenient one-night stop before flying from Bologna airport. (Business style, efficient, no frills, no character so not for a longer city break, when I would stay more centrally.) Easy walk to station/airport bus (getting there: with the station behind you, turn left then cross bridge away from town centre). Reasonably quiet residential area; as a woman on her own I felt safe ( but didn't venture far as too tired after travelling.) Useful supermarket on corner where you can buy food for supper/breakfast. Would recommend for economical stopover if you get a good deal.

The best thing about the hotel was the staff who were very nice and helpful. The bed was comfortable but the design of the bathroom could have been better eg. there was no shelf above the wash basin to put on razors,toothbrush etc 15 minutes walk to the railway station and a bus stop near the hotel for access to the city centre. Several bars and a few restaurants in the vicinity

Excellent hotel facilities with great breakfast and highly efficient staff. A special word of thanks to Simona and Sara at main reception for their efficiency and information provided. Room extremely clean and well appointed. The hotel is approx. 2km to city center and walking distance is about 30mins pleasant walk. Would definitely recommend.

We arrived early and had complimentary coffee and pastries whilst we waited for the room, which was a nice touch. We checked in at 12pm which was still 2 hours before the official check in time. The room was a good size and had a large walk-in wardrobe with plenty of storage space. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of meats and cheeses, cereals etc. Location of the hotel was good - just a gentle 20 minute walk to the main square. Hotel staff were very helpful. Would definitely return.

Great location, wonderful staff

The hotel is alright, good value for money. But the staff, especially Simona as well as her crew were exceptionally accommodating and cooperative. There is parking and the location is 10 minutes' walk away from the city center and next to a bus stop. The only downside was the breakfast which was just alright.

I booked this hotel for October by mistake even though I went in September. Expedia was very disappointing as they wouldn't let me cancel my October booking. However, the hotel staff actually refunded the wrong booking amount back to my account even though they didn't really have to.

Thank you to Simona and her staff for making a potentially problematic stay memorable. We look forward to staying here again!

When we asked for a different room because of the smell, we were offered the best suite in the hotel for the same price - a truly remarkable gesture of generosity! We also enjoyed a very recommendable hot and cold breakfast buffet for only a fiver each.

Great rooms, large sizes and spacious bathtub. I booked one room, but was given a suite. Our suite was perfect for a family. Price was great, especially becuase we pre-paid. Hotel breakfast as reasonably priced and food was quite good. Supermarket down the block was convenient. The only downside was location - juts a bit off the beaten path, not too far a walk to center of town or the train, but far enough for little legs of children to get annoyed. Overall, we're quite satisfied.

Nice garden area where you can take breakfast or have an evening meal or just a drink- but could probably do with more tables. Bedroom aircon very noisy with no air volume control to quieten- warm without as window opening restricted but not too much street noise for city location.

Nice hotel, walking distance from the station.

This hotel is quite close to the station but a bus ride from the city centre. Not a problem when you get to grips with the buses, which are frequent. I recommend you buy tickets from the hotel, its cheaper than on board and make sure to validate the ticket on the bus every trip. Breakfast in the hotel is a continental buffet style but with a good range and selection. And you won't do better for the price. I would definitely choose thos hotel again.

Excellent hotel, great location if you have a rental car as there is free parking. The service was excellent, very helpful and attentive staff. There are buses to the city from the main road that take about 10min. You can walk to the railway station in 15min or to the city in under 30min. The breakfast was very good and worth the money. The concierge is very helpful and can provide maps and sell you bus tickets.

High value for money hotel

I was overall very pleased with my stay at the Best Western City in Bologna. There is almost nothing to criticize apart from the slightly logged drain in the shower. Other than that, the stuff was kind, helpful and pleasant, the room clean and spacious, the breakfast rich and inexpensive. The hotel is half an hour walk from the city center, very pleasant in a spring evening. I can only recommend the hotel when staying in Bologna.

If you're visiting for business or just passing through as I was, it's fine. If not, you might want to look closer to the Historic centre as this is a little strange positioning for a hotel. It's not a great area but I felt safe the whole time. There just isn't a lot to do there.

This is a basic accommodation (not sure where 4 stars come from). It is new, clean and quiet; good location (walking distance to the center, but not in the center); not crowded; nice and free underground parking (very important because there is no street parking); excellent breakfast; spacious and comfortable room; friendly and helpful staff. A supermarket nearby.
