Hotel needs update. Safe in my room was broken. Breakfast is not free and not really great. The staff was friendly and helped us when we asked to store our lugga after check out. It is good for one night though, not for a long stay.

We had a room that was right on a main street and it was noisy with a street light right in front of our window.
The breakfast was included which was great for us and they had a lot options. My hisband ate a questionnable hard-boiled egg and he was sick for thw whole day which kind of messed up our plans. Just stick with what italians do best for breakfast : cheese, cured meat, pastries. Those were great.

The major concerns were broadly acceptable - fair breakfast, friendly staff, acceptable cleanliness. But there was no heat in the room and the staff was unable to either explain or rectify that condition. This hotel is not an antique, either; but its sign was not illuminated and about half of the lobby had been blocked off and was dark. The location near the station was good and the street quiet. But what's with a hotel that doesn't turn on it sign?

Typical Italian city centre hotel. A little old fashioned and tired, in need of a make over.
Overall cleanliness was good. May as well not have had aircon. Generally needed some repairs such as plaster taped up on the roof in the entrance way to the room. Dont use the stairs at night as most of the bulbs were out. There were none at all between 2 floors, even though reported to reception these didn't get rectified.

Location from train station ideal. All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Property in need of some maintenance and modernisation (our shower had cracked tiles, the shower head had a mind of its own, carpet extremely worn, holes in walls). Only one plug socket that we could locate. Passable as only one night stay, however, if we had been staying longer, we would have asked to move rooms in the hope it would have been better.

Easy to get to from the train station. About 15-20 minutes walk to the old town. Good price and easy check in. However the room was a bit dated and run down and smelled of cigarettes. Perfect for a one night stop over, but probably wouldn't stay there for a longer period.

The AC was very weak and it was central which was uncomfortably hot! Having the control over the temperature in the room in Europe is very hit or miss! In some hotels you do have control and in many you do not. The shower can use some serious upgrade as it is very small and old. Friendly staff.

Good location for the train station and the historic city centre - it’s about a 15-20 minute walk in. Staff were friendly and very helpful, giving us good recommendations of places to eat nearby and accommodating our late check-in. We only stayed for one night and didn’t have breakfast, so can’t rate the restaurant.

Cannot thank the reception staff enough. Our bags never turned up. So we were without several important things throughout our stay. One guy offered us his phone charger. He also phoned the lost property at the airport to try to help us. The room was a bit dated, but it was clean.

This was a surprise stay! Certainly a little older lodging, but very charming and located superbly— 5 minute walk from the train station and a 10-15 minute walk to the historic downtown of Bologna. I was greeted by the friendliest hotel staffer I’ve ever met. Franco was a delight! He was helpful, hospitable, lovely disposition, and very generous with his time and attention. The hotel has all the reasons one would want to return, but Franco certainly seals the deal!

Rooms were clean and front desk staff helpful, but the wifi was awful and couldn’t be used even for just a quick google search. The bed would slide around and the pillows were so flat they were barely there. The wallpaper was also pealing with lots of cracks in the roof overall taking away from the comfort of the room.

Hotel was in a very good location, approximately a 5 minute walk from the Bologna Centrale train station & supermarkets (Coop & Aldi) & approximately a 15 minute walk to main sights (Piazza Maggiore & main shopping area on Via Independenza).
The staff member on reception on the day we arrived was very welcoming & friendly & checked us in 40 minutes earlier than the check in time which was very appreciated as we had been travelling from early morning for several hours on trains to get to Bologna due to a flight that was cancelled out of Pisa & was re-scheduled out of Bologna instead. Other reception staff were also very nice.
Our room was very clean & neat & bathroom was a good size.
Breakfast selection was really good with typical Italian cold breakfast options with savoury foods (salami, ham, cheeses, hard boiled egg), pastries, cakes, toast, cereal, yoghurt, juices, fruits, etc).
The breakfast staff were very attentive & polite & the coffee was great with soy milk option also available.
The lady that cleaned our room on our 2 night stay was friendly & our room was cleaned very well.
Thank you to all the staff that made our 2 night stay at the Millennhotel great. Grazie mille.

This hotel was unfortunately showing a few signs of its age, but was brilliantly located in relation to the train station.
The room was compact, and overall was comfortable, and reasonable value for money.
The reception staff were very helpful, and l would certainly stay again for a night or two if l was visiting Bologna.

The best part is the great staffs, no matter night shift or morning shift, everyone was nice and helpful. The room is clean and quiet (I was located at the top floor). Everything what I needed with reasonable prices and close to the train and walkable to historical center without Sunday bus services.

POSITIVES: I chose this hotel for its proximity to the station. That was the best thing about it. Michele in reception was extremely friendly and helpful.
NEGATIVES;
My double room was cramped with nowhere to put a suitcase. With 2 occupants it would have been impossible.
There were no tea/coffee making facilities, no tissues, no shower cap, no glass or cup and the plug was stuck in the washbasin. The shower door was dirty. The breakfast was adequate, the room predominantly brown and gloomy. The girl serving coffee was downright rude.

My flight landed late at night and a hotel representative said the lobby was manned 24/7. I was grateful to arrive just after midnight and be called by my name and quickly checked-in and sent to my room.
It's an older hotel but clean and sufficient. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is GREAT to explore the Old Town area of Bologna (easy 15-ish minute walk) and about a 5 minute walk to the train station.

We had to change rooms after the first night because the bed was so uncomfortable. It felt as if we were sleeping on a wood platform with no mattress. The second room we changed to was not any better. We paid for 3 nights and left after the 2nd night because we had such bad back pain from sleeping on their beds. They did not refund the last night. The rooms were old and not maintained well. The staff was nice and the breakfast for 5Euros extra was ok. I think it was the worse hotel experience we ever had and we travel often.

Things looked optimistic with the check in, but from that moment everything went downhill. I expected more for a 3 star at over 125 euros a night. Blankets & carpet all very worn & tacky, tiny shower cubicle, my colleague had a broken hanging shelf in their shower cubicle, black mould growing on towels stuffed to block drafts and water coming in the fire exit on the corridor, no hot breakfast available, sour faced servers in the breakfast room, lift not working on check out so had to drag 4 bags down the stairs. TV aerial socket hanging out the wall so the TV was very moody. Didn't work at all from day 3. The hinges stuck out from where the door closing in the refrigerator used to be. To cap it all, at check-out, was asked if I'd taken anything from the mini-bar. After I asked \"what mini-bar\" I had a sarcastic response from the staff which made me realise they were referring to the 2 bottles of water they left in a refrigerator. There had been no note or listing informing the guest that the two small waters would cost 3 euros obviously on purpose.

One of the worst hotels you can book in bologna, they are self proclaimed 3 stars hotel. Just look at the pictures of safety hazard, socket fell out in hallway and it is exposing live current which is very dangerous specially for young kids. The room itself had only 3 electric sockets, 1 for light 1 for tv and 1 for fridge. If you need to charge your devices or use the socket you will have to turn off one of these things. And the light wasn’t enough in the room with the small ceiling windows. Only good thing about the hotel was the staff who were doing all they could to keep the place running.

The staff here were extremely friendly, and the breakfast was wonderful. I'd booked a single room, but was given a room with two twin beds. The room wasnt huge, but didnt feel crowded, and the bathroom was surprisingly large and modern. An easy walk from the train station, and good access to busses, although I mostly walked to go sightseeing. Great value for money.

This hotel is right near the train station and is central to all you want to walk to in Bologna. The main square and churches are close, as are the restaurants that make Bologna famous. The hotel breakfast is good, the staff is friendly. It's an older hotel, so it's got the worn feel that upsets people who want every room new and shiny, but the sheets and bath were clean, the bed comfortable, the room of good value.

The only positive is that the staff is incredibly nice.

Though it was close to the train station, inexpensive, and the staff was wonderful, the hotel and the room were not great. I don't mind a small room in an older hotel for budget prices, but the beds were incredibly uncomfortable, the bedding was old & scratchy, the only outlet in the bathroom was for a shaver (isn't that nice for men?), and the other outlets in the room were not easy to access and located in weird spots. As much as I loved the staff, I would not stay again.

If you’re looking for the Ritz, this isn’t it. If you need a cheap place to stay somewhat near the train station, it will do. The place is dates, and the carpet in my room was ripped. Bed was two twins pushed together, but not uncomfortable. The a/c didn’t work one of the days, but was fine the next few. The area is a little shady, so be careful if alone at night. The staff was helpful when trying to get a taxi.

This hotel is right close to the train station, but construction makes it easy to get turned around. Although the staff works to make you happy, the ownership does not. My room at $100 was smaller than some closets, seriously you could not fit a double bed in there. Mini-fridge didn't work, air conditioner/heater didn't work. Who puts white carpet on hotel stairs? Top floor looks OK but by the lower floors the carpet is disgusting. The free breakfast was good, but at these prices should include more perks..
