The room was clean and the hotel was really nice. The location is really convenient to whatever you want to do in Bologna and steps from the train station.
They offer bikes but said you can't ride on the weekends. They offer a hot tub that you have to pay 30euros a person and it wasn't anything that a hotel wouldn't normally include. The staff was excellent.

Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. The location was very convenient to the train station and only about a 15 minute walk to the main palazzo. There is a market close by and several restaurants. However, like a lot of hotels, the walls are paper thin so any noise from other rooms is heard crystal clearly.

I felt this was a perfectly adequate hotel and represented good value for the price paid. The location was good being near the station and for my next destination. The city centre was quite a long walk but nothing unmanageable and there's plenty to see on the way. I did not book breakfast I felt the price was a bit steep but changed my mind. I was glad I did. Whilst not exceptional the price compared favourably to a single dish or a pastry and juice in the more touristy areas, I do recommend this so you can spend more on a good lunch

Closer to centre than I thought as don’t usually stay on that side of railway. It was a blessing as there was roadworks outside one hotel and work on the towers at another.

A comfortable stay near Bologna Centrale

A comfy place to stay that is clean and just right for a solo traveller with hand luggage. Coming as 2 or more or with large suitcases might prove tricky to place them comfortably. The location is great near the station and some restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries. No noise whatsoever and there is also a small shop on the corner selling items like water and snacks. The counter in the bathroom was wel sized to put toileteries.

Cute hotel, in walking distance from the historic city centre. The hotel itself was very stylishly decorated. The spa and jacuzzi etc were for an extra fee and booking needed to be made to use these. This was not clear in the information. The area is not the nicest of the city, a bit run down and dirty. The room was also a bit old but the decoration was cute and vintage. No complain about cleanliness.

My only concerns are you can hear the people in next room maybe only me as i had sinle room 102 and the shower is small .but i liked the hotel thankyou

Unhelpful staff! They couldn’t help with dinner reservations, couldn’t make change,…
The room had no aircondition and was hot. The window had to be open and the restaurant downstairs had noise until 11:30. The bathroom had such a small sink the you could barely fill your water bottle in it. There was barely a place to put your toothbrush. This hotel was expensive and offered no amenities. Breakfast was 15 Euro more per person per day Behind the door was ripped wallpaper. This hotel did not set a good tone for our visit to Bologna!

Boutique size and eclectic decor

Very eclectic decor and a perfect boutique size hotel. An easy walk to City Center, but the area around the hotel had coffee shops, wine bars, one of the best gelato shops in Bologna(Sfintina) and an outstanding restaurant next door.

Easy to find. Parking was free but a tight squeeze. Comfy bed and a jetted tub, room is small. Only complaint was sound proofing. The guy in the next room made phone calls until 11:45 pm and you could almost hear both sides of the call.

This was an awesome place in Bologna! The hotel was very Italian with a courtyard and villa feel to it. The staff members were so friendly. There are restaurants all around and it is close to the train and bus stations. I would stay here again.

The pics are really nice but not exactly as the hotel looks.
Front desk and restaurant are amazing people.
Room not so good for 4 star hotel. I had to clean a few things in the bathroom, specifically and towel warmer that had 1cm in dust. It seems it was never cleaned.
the shower was terrible, just a few drops coming out of the head.
the location is good, some good restaurants near by and walking distance to the city center.

We were so surprised by the uniqueness of this property! Cute terraces on floors 2 and 3 (maybe 1 as well but we didn’t check!), free bicycles to use (first come;first served), nice spa area, comfortable room and wonderful staff! Location was perfect for us - near the train station and only a one mile walk to the center of Bologna! The walk was great! We had the BEST dinner and service at a nearby restaurant- La Corte dei Ghiottoni!! So perfect!!

The room we had was small and we were not offered an upgrade. I think most rooms are on the small side. You can hear people coughing and talking in the rooms next-door. We could not get the water in the spa hot enough. It seem to, get the heat going when you push the Jets on but they only lasted on for about five minutes and pushing them on most the time we were there did not get it to the temperature we wanted. The steam room and sauna were nice. The TV was mounted at the side of the room and trying to make it more easy to see pulled the cable out of the back. Only one channel seem to have English, number 39. The parking down the street was tight but worked.

The location is very close to the central station, and super convenient.
I am not sure if my room was upgraded although the hotel receptionist told me it was upgraded. The room was not spacious. From the window, I could see only the wall of the next building.

The hotels offers free retail bicycle, which I did not use though. It would be convenient to use the bicycle within the city.

Nice little place near the train in Bologna

This is a wonderful little hotel tucked away in a residential area a couple blocks from the train station. It’s beautiful, clean, quiet, and the people their very friendly. There’s a pizza place, a bodega, and a couple of pubs nearby, but otherwise it’s a few blocks away from
other shops and restaurants.

Hotel II Guercino was only a 5 minute walk from the train station, which was great. It was about a 20+ minute walk to the historic city center. I wish it could have been closer. The staff was friendly, and the hotel was clean.

Poor service from check in receptionist

There was a strong chemical smell in the room and when we tried to seek help from the receptionist, we were rudely dismissed and told that the smell didn’t exist.

Parking is not provided and you have to find parking on the street in the area. The description on hotels.com is deceiving as there is no parking on-site or off-site offered by the hotel. Again, the receptionist checking us in was not very helpful in this regard.

Room was clean, and breakfast was good with other staff members being friendly.

Little gem of a hotel .quirky italian hotel with friendly , helpful staff..kept us supplied with extra coffee & teabags , supplied wine glasses and opened our wine (we had purchased for room elsewhere) with no fuss ..absolute top service! Its those little extras that count when u stay in a hotel.. yes you could here occasional guests doors opening etc but thats not a major in my book..

Just right... I needed a good hotel, not too expensive, close to the train station and to the center of Bologna. This hotel ticked all the boxes. Reception was great, the room of a good size and clean, service was outstanding, breakfast very good as well. The staff helped me when I needed... Overall a very good experience.

4. The worst for me...is their towels....all smell VERY VERY BAD....I CANNOT USE.....the worst
5. Our room is at the back...very dark even in the day time
If you want some light..ask for the front
6. The light above the TV facing the bed is glaring
We need to switch it off....but the room will be dark

We used the hotel as a base for visiting places by train in Emiia Romagna. It was ideal for this being close to the train station. It is a 20 minute walk from the centre, and, because it is not absolutely in the centre it is very quiet and secluded. There is some parking at an additional charge and you need to book this in advance.

La suite is incredible and lovely
We enjoy our room decorations and the Venetian floor design.
Great staff always willing to fulfill our requests even trying to understand and speak in Spanish.
Bologna city center is a 10 minute walk and Bologna Centrale train station is a less tha 5 minutes waking
Breakfast buffet is included with many option options but you must try the variety of teas and infusions available (Best in Italy)
Only one suggestion they had to fix their internet and wifi service with so many access points the made a mess and don't have control of their connectivity (please hire an expert to design a wifi network for your customers)

The property and rooms cozy and beautiful. Very close to bus lines, portico shops galore, restaurants and a short walk to sights. Isabella at the front desk has the answers to all questions and is so friendly -As well as everyone else at the front desk. Everyone working at the hotel works so hard and they all are happy to help with anything you need.
We will be returning for sure! We enjoyed our stay there immensely!

This is a well - run and comfortable hotel. The best feature is the neighbourhood which is a working residential area within easy walking distance of central Bologna. The breakfast was simple and good and the staff were pleasant wthout being overly attentive. The room was fairly average in size and decor. Housekeeping, linen and towels were good. There there was a pleasant balcony and the small bathroom was well appointed. I was there in November 2018 and I thought the price was relatively high compared to similar hotels in Bologna.
