Room has a good size, but not AC. Central AC still on heat and does not have independent cooling systems. Shower are too small and water goes everywhere because the glass does not do anything to prevent the water staying inside the shower. Too many towel need to be use to keep the bathroom dry.

Ho apprezzato molto la colazione (di gran lunga fra le migliori mai provate per qualità e varietà), e la palestra ben fornita aperta h24. La posizione è ottima, a pochi passi dalla metro. Unica pecca gli addetti alle pulizie, non è bello trovare una chiazza di sangue sul cuscino appena arrivato, bisogna richiedere una maggiore attenzione a questi dettagli. Lo staff invece è sempre disponibile e ha subito risolto l’inconveniente, per questo non mi sento di far pesare particolarmente questo dettaglio su quella che è stata l’esperienza a 360 gradi, ma andava comunque menzionato per mantenere alta la qualità e l’asticella dell’attenzione da parte del personale.

This hotel was clean and lively. Lots of people around enjoying each others company and plenty of room to have discussions with others. The bar was nice and the bartender was very friendly and helpful when answering our questions. It definitely had a modern feel to the hotel. It was also by a local bus stop to get into the old town area.

The hotel is very modern and has a community vibe to it which is the theme of this hotel chain. The rooms are modern and clean. The facilities are good too. It’s a perfect hotel for meeting and chatting with other guests in common areas of that’s what you like. The location is near the main train station which is travel convenient but not too close to the city centre.

The service, staff and concept was excellent.
I really appreciated the free laundry machines, but it was disappointing that many of the dryers were dirty.
The location was close to the station in terms of distance, but it was on the opposite side where there was nothing around. At night the neighborhood felt a little uneasy, as there were some people shouting and arguing nearby.

The breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed an evening meal in restaurant. Everywhere was clean including the public toilet. In the bedroom, the limited number of power points were rather hard to find. One was on the side of the bed, and the one for the kettle and coffee machine was hard to access.

Bad parts:
- The plumbing waste water stacks have not been vented properly / to code, so the rooms literally stink like raw sewerage;
- The location is not great, unless you are staying overnight for train / airport access.

Close to the train station and there is a bus stop across the street to get into the main part of Bologna. The room was big, clean and comfy. Breakfast was very good with good options. We didn't use any of the facilities since we were only there for the night and spent the day exploring. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again if we come back.

Hotel facilities were good but the rooms and in particular the housekeeping were very poor. Stains on the walls, dust on the shelving. We stayed 5 nights, some time we had towels, some days we didn’t. No replacement coffee pods or water. Bathroom door hinge was broken.
Also if you are booking two rooms with single beds and 1 adult and 1 child in each, do you really think it’s appropriate to leave a welcome condom on each bedside table?

We really enjoyed our stay at The Social Hub Bologna. The air conditioning was a welcome relief in the summer heat (37c) and the hotel offers a great range of facilities—access to a pool, table tennis, and a well-equipped gym added a playful and active vibe to the experience.

One standout moment was the staff’s kindness when we needed to use the washing and drying facilities before leaving. Instead of making us download the app, they helped us directly, which made things so much easier and showed genuine hospitality.

The atmosphere is youthful and energetic, but still quiet enough to relax. A great base for exploring Bologna with thoughtful touches that made our stay smooth and enjoyable.

There’s also a fantastic coffee shop nearby—Doppio Civico —with excellent coffee and croissants that made our mornings and right opposite the hotel, we found a really good pizza place. Would deffo stay again

I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I booked a simple economy room for a layover in Bologna and didn’t expect much, but it exceeded all my expectations. I was initially a bit anxious about booking a twin room since I usually struggle to sleep on small beds, but this one was surprisingly spacious and very comfortable.

I’m not sure if I just got lucky with the size of the room, but it felt huge for a solo stay — with a separate wardrobe area, plenty of floor space, and a large bathroom complete with a bidet and shower.

One of the biggest surprises was the air conditioning — fully functioning and strong, which I honestly didn’t expect based on past experiences with Italian hotels.

The hotel also has a restaurant, bar, gym (on the smaller side and gets crowded), and a pool (also small and fills up fast). One suggestion to management: expand the pool area. There’s a lot of unused space that could easily fit more loungers instead of just tables and chairs. Right now, if you don’t get there early, you likely won’t get a spot.

Overall, it was a great experience and I would absolutely recommend it. I also tried the breakfast — priced at €18. While that felt steep considering the room was around €80, the quality was good and the variety was impressive.

The Social Hub has the capacity to be a very good hotel however the lack of management of very rowdy young people running riot over the hotel was hugely disappointing after spending thousands of pounds on trees rooms for our family. This would be very easily fixed with better management for example the students are allowed to cook their own food / bring pizza and beer into the hotel - all great - if they were not allowed to ‘trash’ all the public areas for other guests in the process. The lack of supervision of the young folk in the pool means they also jump in and generally make it very unenjoyable for others too.

This Hotel is amazing courtyard to chill free washers dryers concept different than any we've seen.
Only negative is I don't think they have many tourists as the Reception staff was not clear about directiions & major bus ticket problems & do it cost us a fine if 270 Euros because u have to use 2 credit cards for 2 people even if husband and wife & the bus kiosk on bus didn't work. Making this crystal clear is important..
If I were Hotel Industry ceis in Balonga I'd put pressure or a Lawyer on them to get a System that works & makes sense.
Only 1 Reception person really helped us w facts maps etc & that is Lucia she was Great. Others vague & if no interest to them.

Hôtel was clean and presented in an \"industrial chic\" style which isn't really our taste but was OK.
Bar area was nice and breakfast was brilliant. The hotel is just north of Bologna Centrale station but in an area which didn't feel the safest or cleanest. The walk into the city centre was quite long (15-20mins) and could be navigated by main roads which were better than back streets. The transport was a little limited so despite the distance the walk was the preferred option.
Hotel facilities themselves were very good and staff friendly/helpful.
Would likely stay at other Social Hub properties depending on the location.

Great Stay!

The Social Hub Bologna is perfectly located—just a short walk from the main train station and easily accessible to the city centre. My room was very comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of storage and hanging space.

I especially appreciated the in-room amenities like the Nespresso machine and complimentary water, which added a nice touch. The overall complex is quite large, with co-working spaces and offices. A great stay and would recommend!

A real shame. The concept is great, and the shared areas cool if perhaps a little too self aware. The rooms, however - which in my mind should be the most important thing about a hotel - are sad. I stayed in a twin and then a double. Climate control didn’t work in one of them. The twin especially depressing with two singles pushed against opposing walls. I guess a black and concrete interior scheme looks cool on a mood board, but in reality in rooms with little light source is super depressing. This felt like a prison in the rooms, not pleasant. And the twin trying to achieve a collegiate dorm feel was just super depressing. Paid a huge sum to stay here during a trade fair, and it wasn’t even close to feeling like it was worth it. A real shame, as apart from the rooms it’s a great hotel.

I came to Bolonga because I read that it had great food, but I was tired after each day of walking seeing the sites that I endedup eating at the hotel. I could wear anything and relax and the was ok. Can I Just Move In Already?

I flipping love this place. The Social Hub is everything I never knew I needed in a stay—sustainability, community, and comfort, all in one incredibly well-thought-out space.

Let’s start with the bed—oh my God, the most comfortable thing ever, with so many pillows to curl up in. The room temperature was spot on, and when I turned the lights off, it was pitch black, which made for the best sleep ever. I also loved all the thoughtful details, like the water tracker in the shower, the sustainable toilet paper, and even the condoms in the room (nice touch!).

But what truly sets The Social Hub apart is the community focus. As a solo traveler, I really appreciate places where you can meet people outside of the usual drinking culture. There were so many cool events and opportunities to connect with others in a meaningful way. I just wish I had known about them in advance so I could have planned to attend!

The staff were beyond lovely—friendly, welcoming, and just radiating good vibes. The location was perfect, super close to the train station, and I felt safe walking back at night.

Only tiny bit of feedback? I really wanted to swim, and I wish I’d been told in advance that the pool wasn’t open. Also, can we please get more Social Hubs in other cities? Because I would absolutely stay again in a heartbeat.

This place is just so my vibe—a perfect mix of sustainability, comfort, and social connection. If you’re even thinking about booking, just do it. You won’t regret it.

This was not quite what was expected, and we were not the demographic usually targeted. The room was basic and clean. The laundry was very welcomed.
Please do not stay here on a Saturday if you need to go to sleep early. The property hosted a big, loud event, with music thumping through the rooms until 11:30. Hotel guests seem to be a secondary consideration here.
The passageways smelt manky, and the carpeting and floors needed a thorough vacuum. Dust and gunk everywhere.

The hotel was functional - there was a bed, a toilet, a Nespresso machine. The room had a minimalistic aesthetic but really it is enough for a city break. The breakfast was plentiful and good enough, and the courtyard was an ideal place to have an evening drink. The big thing that let this hotel down, though, was the excessive amount of noise that meant sleeping was near impossible for a light sleeper like me. The plumbing was loud all night, people would be intermittently throwing glass in the bin (yes - all night long) and other hotel guests were loud slamming doors in the early hours of the morning. Overall it was fine, but I left exhausted from lack of sleep. But I guess you can't have it all! The location is good but be prepared to do a LOT of steps. It's about 2.5km into the centre of town through the train station so that's 5km of walking just into town and back.

The hotel itself is “not great, not terrible”. I stayed before at a TSH (on a different city and country) and my expectations were high. Sadly, these weren’t met and instead I was just counting the days to leave.

We arrived in the early hours after a delayed flight and having to report lost luggage. The front door was locked but a member of staff was there quickly to let us in. He was very efficient and sympathetic towards the very disrupted start to our trip and immediately added a time extension to our room because we’d got to return to the airport within a few hours to collect luggage arriving on the next flight. We were very tired and slept well, even if only for a few hours. Breakfast was very good with a choice of fruit, pastries, cereals, meat, salad and cakes. There were also hot and cold drinks and juices. We left our bags in our room whilst returning to the airport for our lost luggage. The train station and monorail to the airport were just a short walk from the hotel. After a lot of wasted time at the airport we finally returned to the hotel, very flustered and just after the checkout time, but our bags were still in the room. The receptionist was very understanding and reactivated our keycards so that we could retrieve our baggage and organise ourselves. We were able to leave our luggage in a storage room to enable us to see a little bit of Bologna. There was a changing room for us to use when we returned. We had to move on as we were getting a train to another city but wish we’d had more time to enjoy the facilities at the hotel. The pool area looked great with showers, plenty of seating and shaded areas. We would certainly stay here again if flying to Bologna.
