Although my husband and I consider ourselves avid travelers, we had never stayed at a bed and breakfast, until now. This place was an absolute delight. Margrita is a wonderful host: she rose early to pick up our favorite croissants, prepared incredible breakfasts and coffee each morning, and offered thoughtful recommendations as we chatted about the day ahead. The property itself is spotless and incredibly comfortable. It’s close enough to the city center for convenience, yet tucked away just enough to feel peaceful and secluded. We loved enjoying a local beer on the patio, surrounded by lemon trees and the distant sound of church bells. Truly a hidden gem.

Amazing B&B and even better hostess!

Mario Relais and her amazing host; Margrita made my stay even better than I had hoped. From ‘finding’ me on the street when I thought I was lost (I missed the very clear sign) to a warm greeting, to delicious and fresh breakfast…well I cannot wait to return to Sorrento.
It was an easy walk to the historical center and Margrita offered many suggestions on things to do.
I would highly recommend this location for any amount of time in beautiful Sorrento.

Margrita is one of the nicest and most accommodating people I have ever met. She made my entire family feel like her home was our home. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were clean and very comfortable. Everything was within a 10-15 minute walk. She said that she loves what she does, and it shows!

Margarita was an incredible host! Her B&B is beautiful and perfectly located—quiet and peaceful, yet just a short walk to everything you want to see in Sorrento. Our room was exactly what we needed, spacious, impeccably clean and full of charm. Breakfast was always fresh items from her garden and local pastries—we especially loved the apricot and pistachio croissants. We also had the chance to day-trip to Capri and then move onto our next destination in Amalfi, thanks to the convenient local ferries. Her dog Kira was adorable and so friendly, adding an extra touch to our stay. We would 1000% come back here and highly recommend Mario Relais to friends and family!

This was one of the most relaxed and enjoyable stays of our trip. The owner was so helpful and accommodating. She saw to all details, answered our many questions, and helped us when we were stuck. The location was perfect away from noise but close walking distance to meals, shopping, transportation. Marguerite took requests and was willing to accommodate early morning starts. My girlfriend and I loved our stay at Mario Relais! The host, Margrita, was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. She also personally prepared an incredibly fresh and delicious breakfast each morning we stayed.

We enjoyed the amenities of the room (Smart TV!, didn't think that would be something we needed but our two other hotels on this trip had dumb TVs) and we enjoyed how quiet the area around the place was.

We loved Sorrento and the vibes in general but it was very bustling even at night so it was nice to be able to get away to a quieter area only a short walk away from the city center.

Would definitely stay again!

The hostess, Margrite, was fantastic...even before we arrived! Margrite was responsive to my questions and even booked our private transfer from her place to the airport for my husband and me for a 2 a.m. ride. Margrite's home is set slightly away from the business of Sorrento, but just a short walk to the center of all the great restaurants and shopping. My husband and I walked daily to the center of Sorrento, to the port and beach areas. Breakfast was fresh daily with items from her farm (fruits, tomatoes, olive oil). Coffee to order (cappuccino, latte, etc.). She always had a smile on her face, impeccable attention to detail, and made us feel very welcomed. It is obvious that Margrite loves what she does. I would highly recommend staying at Mario Relais.

We recently stayed for four nights and can’t say enough great things about the property and Margrita as a host. The location is in a great spot and is only about a 10 minute walk to the main shopping and restaurants in Sorrento. The room was was clean, spacious and the air conditioning worked great! The breakfast provided each morning is something my wife and I will talk about for years to come and was a real highlight of the trip.

If we get the chance to return to Sorrento some day, this will be the first place for us to try and book again!

The property only has 3 rooms and is run by the owner, who could not be more welcoming. Really enjoyed our stay and the lovely breakfast.
Excellent value for money. Located in a quiet residential area, but with supermarkets and restaurants very close by. Would certainly recommend it, if you don’t mind being a 10 minutes walk from the centre.

This B&B is exceptional. The property is immaculate and our room was very large, comfortable, and spotless. Our host is was so nice and greeted us at the door to the property upon arrival. The breakfast she prepared was delicious as was the coffee. The property was very close to train station and minutes from the main city plaza. The nearby restaurant she recommended were very close and were outstanding. We highly recommend this property and will definitely stay here since we feel like we were at home in Sorrento.

We had the best possible stay here, I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Margrita was so lovely and attentive, we couldn’t believe the gorgeous breakfast made fresh for us every day!
The location was perfect, less than a 10 minute walk into the centre.
I honestly don’t think the pictures do this place justice it was so much better than we imagined, lovely details in the room such as a smart TV and USB charging points were a great added bonus.
If we were to come back to Sorrento we would 100% look to stay here again!

Do yourself a favour and stay at Mario Relais when in Sorrento! We stayed for 6 nights and can’t recommend it enough. The rooms are sparkling clean. Walking into the centre of Sorrento is easy and takes less than 10 minutes. The host, Margrita, is lovely and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as enjoyable as possible by providing suggestions and tips to help us make the best use of our days. The daily, homemade fresh breakfast was a great way to start each morning. We will definitely be back!

Margarita, the owner, was exceptional. The room was spotless, the bath towels huge and fluffy, and the art on the walls perfect for the venue. The breakfasts were full, with made to order coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, excellent croissant,grilled ham and cheese sandwich and tomatoes with ricotta cheese, olive oil and fresh basil. We had pre booked ferries to both the Amalfi coast and Capri on consecutive days, and both made our breakfast too early for her normal serving time but we were accomadated. We would rate her B&B a 5 star, hands down. The breakfast nook outside added to our delight. It’s hard to beat this standard. Marguarita herself is the epitomy of high standards and customer service.

What is not to love about this B&B, Margrita is an excellent host who is friendly, attentive and is always happy to help. She is knowledgeable and is always happy to suggest places to go and things to see. The B&B is quaint, clean and tidy, we loved having a quiet fridge and the big shower was lovely to use. The traditional Italian breakfast was also great in the morning and even filled us up until dinner. Why book a hotel when you can have a personal place to stay where you are fully looked after.

The owner Margrita goes over and beyond.Breakfast is really at 8 to 10 am only but since i had to leave early almost everyday she made sure to prepare breakfast earlier. Her great customer service is what makes this place excellent.

Great B&B with wonderful Host!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Mario Relais in Sorrento. Magrita, our host, was the most helpful person. She provided, not only breakfast, but also suggestions as to what to do in Sorrento. The B&B is immaculate, with all new furnishings. The breakfast spread is huge, with cappuccino, brioches, boiled eggs, ham, cheese, cereal, yogurt, etc. The location is a little out of the way on Via Santa Lucia, with the last section of the walk being pulling the suitcases uphill, but worth the effort. Can not say enough things positive about Mario Relais; would definitely stay there again if we Return to Sorrento!

Fantastic guest house

We really enjoyed our stay in Sorrento and thy guest house. It was located very close to the station and the town. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. Margrita was very friendly and gave us useful tips. We will definitely stay again if we go back to Sorrento.

Our room was bright and fresh with a large, high end shower and a sweet private balcony. A lovely breakfast of fruit, yogurt, fresh pastries, charcuterie and the best cappuccino we've had energized our day...but our host's infectious personality made the stay. We learned so much from her about the Italian lifestyle and culture. The walk to and from the town square and Sorrento train station was 10+ minutes, but allowed us to experience true Sorrento life

Great location with a 10 minute walk to the centre of town. Room is very clean and with lovely decor. The hostess speaks very good English and is very helpful with all your questions . Breakfast buffet is delicious with a good choice of hams cheeses bread fruit drinks etc. Air con in the room is a god send . I can't praise this accomodation enough. Would definitely use again and thoroughly recommend. We had a great stay.

Clean calm and relaxing stay

Sorrento great destination and this B&B situated just away from centre about 10 min walk downhill in uphill back. Relatively quiet area. Whole place spotless and new as just refurbished. Room bit small but comfortable and beds really comfortable. Margrit your host is really welcoming and friendly fluent in English as well and was very helpful with sourcing appropriate breakfast for us. Sorrento is easy to get to by train roads get jammed quite easily but was quite easy to get about. Lots of gluten free restaurants nearby! Strongly recommend as holiday destination

Amazing Sorrento stay!

What an amazing place to stay in Sorrento! 5 minutes walk to downtown.. 10 minutes walk to ferry. Place is done tastefully and Margrita is very kind and helpful! Thank you so much for having us, making me the perfect coffee every morning and being so kind!! We definitely staying over here again when we come back to Sorrento!
