Despite putting the Do not bother sign on the outside of my door per instructions given, I was rudely awoken early in the morning by housekeeping banging extremely hard on my door…. They also were extremely noisy as they serviced other rooms to the point where I could not rest… not cool at all and very inconsiderate

Amazing gem in the heart of Sorrento. Only 5 rooms makes it feel like you’re the only guests! We had the roof garden and pool to ourselves - which was a delight at the end of a day of exploring! The breakfast was delightful and staff extremely helpful at all times. Would 100% recommend and would definitely return. Easy to train station. Short walk into main square and has amazing pizza over the road (with the best bakery nearby too for lunch). We had a family room and it was perfect for the 4 of us. Plenty of space and very clean (cleaned every day).

Lovely property and huge bedrooms. Staff so friendly and helpful.
The hotel is an old mansion, sat at the top of Sorrento about a 5-10 min walk down a hill to the centre. Lovely a quiet.
There was lovely amenities in the bedroom.
Some of the areas around the property need a little maintenance. There is no reception desk after 7pm.
Would definitely stay here again

This was the best stay of our whole trip. Villa Manning is the perfect place to stay in Sorrento. An old family mansion transformed to a boutique hotel full of history and renovated with a great taste and design.
Natalia, Valentina and Rosa were outstanding at hospitality management. I definitely recommend this place to stay in Sorrento

Beautifully appointed facility. Plan to spend a day in the lemon garden by the pool or on the terrace if you stay here-don't let the gardens go to waste! Room was beautiful and clean an quiet considering location near the square downtown. BEST BREAKFASTS I HAVE EVER HAD! Breakfast each morning was to die for...with different options each day. ROSA IS AN ASSET TO THIS FACILITY! Rosa treated us like our own mother would. She was a delight and so friendly, helpful and exuberant. Very good and different hotel experience to what we’ve been used to (not in a bad way).

Throughout the service has been excellent, from helping reach the hotel, to guidance on local attractions and transport to get there, through to making up breakfast packs for us checking out (as we couldn’t make the sit down breakfast).

We had an AMAZING week long stay at Villa Manning. It’s quaint, quiet and secluded, yet right in the middle of Sorrento! It was the perfect base for our amalfi coast vacation. We took ferries several days to neighboring towns and had a great time exploring Sorrento too. Easily walkable to countless restaurants. The pool was the perfect reprieve each day after walking all those steps! We really appreciated the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. You’ll love this place!

Loved our stay at Villa Manning. Our room was huge for our family of 4. The location is absolutely perfect…close enough to the center of town but far enough for a peaceful place that feels like a secret oasis!! Breakfast makes this place truly special. Rosa is a gem and a very talented cook. Breakfast was outstanding and Rosa herself is warm and kind. Her cappuccinos are amazing. The pool is small but just enough to cool off and relax after a day of walking and touring. I booked this place a year in advance and so glad I did!

A wonderful week in Sorrento.

We had a lovely stay in room 1 which has a great view over the garden and its own covered terrace. Large, spacious room with en suite, although that is up a short flight of stairs, as is the shower in the en suite so keep that in mind.
It's a delightfully quirky place nicely removed but only a few minutes walk from the town centre.
All the staff are friendly and helpful but you have to meet Rosa. She will start your day with a smile, a good breakfast, a mastery of Google translate and a laugh - she always got the day off to an excellent start.
We'd definitely recommend the villa to friends and family.

We stayed for 2 nights and wished it was longer. It’s a real gem, only 5 rooms but service is special.

Rossa at breakfast is fantastic and creates something different every day. Rooms are amazing and the garden is tranquil.

If you coming to Sorrento I suggest you stay here if you want something a bit special.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Manning Relais from June 16 to June 22, and I cannot speak highly enough of our experience. The staff members were truly outstanding and made our stay unforgettable. Rosa, the talented breakfast cook, prepared delicious meals that started our days off on a perfect note and even prepared lunch boxes when we had an earlier start to our day. Natalia at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring all our needs were met. The cleaning lady, whose name unfortunately escapes me, kept our room spotless and always had a friendly smile. Lastly, the owner, Valeria, was a true gem, taking great care of her guests and making sure every detail was attended to. The location was also fantastic, offering breathtaking views and easy access to nearby attractions and meeting points for our scheduled tours. I wholeheartedly recommend Villa Manning Relais to anyone seeking a remarkable experience.

This family owned B&B was a wonderful finale to our trip to Italy. 6 of those days were spent in Sorrento at Villa Manning. Lovely colorful gardens, perfect central location, impeccably clean, super friendly and helpful staff. Since it was our first time visiting Italy, this was the perfect spot in Sorrento to enjoy a lovely combination of traditional Italian “neighborhood” surroundings with personalized attention, while using it as our home base to explore the sights and tours that the coast has to offer. My only regret was that I was not able to spend more time enjoying the facilities, relaxing at the pool or sign up for a cooking class.
Nonetheless thank you to Rosetta for delicious breakfasts, Natalia and Valeria for being so helpful and Angela for keeping our room immaculate.

I can't say enough positive things about Villa Manning. Me and my two friends stayed there for about a week, and truly never wanted to leave. It the incredible hospitality to the beautiful and spacious rooms to the lush rooftop pool/garden. we couldn't have asked for a better place to call home during our week-long stay. Truly this rivaled my last stay in Sorrento at the Hotel Ambasciatori. Looking forward to my next stay, hopefully sometime soon!

Our room was very spacious with modern amenities and the charm of Italy combined. We had more counter space than we needed in the room and in the bathroom. The bathroom lighting was perfect for applying make up. Outlets were in the right spots for drying hair or charging phones. Our hostess, Valeria, along with her brother turned their father's home into a lovely hotel. Not many rooms so you have a lot of privacy. Fun twists and turns to get to our room. They do have elevators for luggage. The garden is very nice with lemon and orange trees.
Our first breakfast: the table was set up for us in the garden with pastries. We were brought a meat and cheese tray. Cappuccinos were brought to us upon request. Lots of water served. Delicious juice. Just when we thought we couldn't eat any more, another tray of croissant type pastries was brought. It is you own fault if you leave there hungry! The lady who prepares breakfast is very nice and helpful. She also cleans and does an excellent job. The hotel is spotless. Villa Manning Relais is a hidden gem just a short walk from the main square and shopping area. There is a wonderful restaurant, Pizzeria da Franco directly across the street from the hotel. You can order and take the food to your room.

We loved the hotel. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was great. Very close to the shopping areas in the main part of town and the Circumvesuviana train station.
Our room had a little balcony from which you could see the water.
It was wonderful in the winter and must be incredible in the summer.

A perfectly beautiful hotel in Sorrento

We were somewhat skeptical to see the average rating of 10.0 since I haven't seen such high rating in the past.
The house is a castle like mansion fully renovated 2 years earlier. The owner, Valeria and her architect brother must have spent quite a bit of money to do this project. The result is perfection. Along with the perfectly renovated house Valeria is quite charming host. She is very friendly and accommodating.

Fantastic room in the heart of Sorrento. We were able to walk everywhere. Check in was thorough and friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. The room wS beautiful as well as the terrace outside. Can’t say enough about how pleasant everyone was. It was slightly noisy outside (mostly a barking dog and done traffic) but that is to be expected staying so close to city center. Would not hesitate to say there again!

This hotel is an absolute gem. Our room was absolutely beautiful, spacious and kept spotlessly clean. The garden is delightful, and I would imagine that it would be even more so in mid-summer (we visited in late October). A varied choice of continental-style fare for breakfast started each day perfectly.

The staff were charming, extremely helpful and willing to offer advice on the best places to see, ways to get there etc. They all spoke good English and were patient enough to humour me with my rudimentary Italian.

The hotel rooms are raised up above the street level, which was nice for people-watching. There’s a great Pasticceria/Gelateria 30m down the street where we grabbed a morning espresso on the way into town and picked-up some pastries on the way back. The street was silent at night; we always slept well.

It is a safe two-minute stroll to the main piazza of Sorrento (Piazza Tasso). Surprisingly it's only a five-minute walk to the train station (for Naples or Pompeii). Since the trains terminate without passing through Sorrento there is no chance of hearing any train noise at this hotel or anywhere else in the main part of the town. The area around Sorrento’s train station is also perfectly fine so being able to walk there was really convenient.

Concierge service was top notch. She was very helpful with planning our trip to Capri same day and our train back to o Naples. The room and bathroom were beautiful. The garden was very serene. I loved the excellent customer service. Only thing I would recommend is more comfortable beds. Overall, one of the best stays I have had anywhere.

We stayed for one night for the last leg of out holiday. Its ideal location 5 min from the train and bus station and only 5 to the start of the centre

Rooms was massive and had everything we needed.

The main thing that stood out was the warm welcome it only has 5 rooms so it's perfect to get away from the bussle and bussle.

Didn't get to have breakfast as we had to leave for the airport at 7 but when we was leaving they offered us coffee etc I imigine the breakfast is amazing as it looked it.

The best hotel I have ever stayed in

I cannot recommend Villa Manning Relais highly enough. We have just returned from a 7 night visit to Sorrento and this hotel was certainly a highlight. It has very few rooms (we stayed in a Superior Double room), so is quiet and the location is perfect as it takes less than 10 minutes to reach Tasso square and the walk is very direct and easy. It is also less than 10 minutes from Sorrento train station (not that you ever hear a train!) The entire place is immaculately clean and thoughtfully decorated. I couldn't get over the height of the ceilings in our room! It is amazing how an historic building could be turned into such a stunning place. The garden area and beautifully designed pool is so tranquil and the perfect place to relax. There is a small bar with a vast drinks menu, water features in the pool to keep you cool and it is all beautifully kept. They even grow their own food and you see it being picked and then appearing on the breakfast selection the following day and it tasted so fresh!

The staff here are wonderful and they are the perfect hosts. Valeria was so welcoming and helped us with advice on how to get to Pompeii and other areas. Teresa was superb every morning at breakfast, nothing was too much trouble, making egg dishes for each guest every morning. All of the staff are exceptional.

This was like a true home away from home, I will be recommending it to everyone and we will definitely be coming back soon. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

An Oasis in Sorrento

This is such a beautiful property in the perfect location in Sorrento. The rooms are very quiet and our Duplex Suite was spacious. The garden area was amazing with an unique pool that is certainly big enough for the size of the property and the amount of guests that would be staying. Breakfast each morning was a lovely with beautiful produce from the garden. I would stay here again without hesitation.

The location was excellent and within easy walking distance to the beaches, ferries, shopping and the train station. The property is newly renovated and our air conditioned room was clean and bright, and had its own terrace where we could enjoy wine and cheese at the end of the day.

The property is family owned and Valeria, the manager, went beyond normal service with helping us get a delayed bag from the Naples airport. Morning breakfast consists of the normal fruits, cereals and breads. The staff will also make you fresh eggs to order, along with bacon.

Overall our experience was outstanding and we will stay at Villa Manning when we return to Sorrento in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa Manning Relais. The room was very spacious and kept very clean. The service was also very good. The hotel manager was very kind and provided great suggestions to us on what we should see during our short stay in Sorrento and also nearby restaurant favorites. They also provided a phone at no charge that you could use for navigation, phone calls, etc. This is awesome for tourists traveling overseas. All in all we highly recommend this hotel.

This was an amazing hotel, hidden gem right in the centre, but a superb haven. The room was exquisitely decorated and clean. Everything you would need was there. The staff were discrete but very very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Recommendations for restaurants were exemplary. The best part of all was the breakfasts, fantastic. The most yummy lemon cake too. Nothing missing from the breakfasts. Faultless place.
