We overall had a good stay but the check in could use better communicating and clear instructions on how to check in. It said the front desk was open until 9pm which is not true. We arrived before 7pm and had to call to get someone to tell us how to get in. There should be an email or WhatsApp message before arrival. Also we had to help another guest get their key one evening because they also needed help.
The breakfast was good each morning, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The woman who was at the front desk/breakfast area in the morning was helpful.

Stayed here for three nights. Overall location is good if you are willing to walk about 15-20 mins.

The property lists private parking as one of the main benefits but that is NOT true at all. The lady at front desk flat out said that parking is NOT available and NOT allowed.

1) One of the worst mattress and pillows combination ever. They never changed the bedsheets or took time to clean it.

2) Entrance to the building is dark at night.

3) The elevator door doesn’t have any sign that indicates as such.

4) An envelope with room key was left on the counter but didn’t say that there are multiple rooms behind an unmarked door. We wondered how to gain access to the room.

Building was kind of hard to find because of google map showed that we were on that place but it was on the side back of the street.
Also, the building is old but the rooms are modern, state of the art and super clean.
Walking distance for restaurants, local bus and terminals.
Overall, I am really satisfied with my stay.

Perfect for a one-night stay!

Perfect for a one-night stay!
Great location and excellent directions provided by the hotel.
Covered parking is available (for an extra fee), which is very convenient.
It feels more like a house with separate rooms, so you can hear other guests, but for one night it’s totally fine.

Breakfast was so nice. A variety of bread, hams, salamis, eggs, cheeses, veg, fruit, and drinks were served. The location is nice. The station and port are walkable (about 10 to 15 mins walk).
There are cafe, bakery and pizzalia within 3 mins by walk.

Location was great and amenities were fine. Although the room was tided each day, the bedding wasn’t changed at all during our stay which was disappointing. Towels were changed each day though. The room safe didn’t work. The blanket in the wardrobe had stains. The shower was falling apart on one side causing difficulty in opening and closing the shower, and looked very tired. Floor and under the bed weren’t cleaned (crumbs under the bed, sock dirty after a short while of walking on the floor)

Was difficult to communicate with the staff at the start of each day, one lady came across very annoyed when you asked questions. The young girl in the afternoon was so helpful and lovely with advice and recommendations.

Breakfast was okay. Coffee machine didn’t work well, meat and cheese’s left without coverings allowing flies to sit on the food.

Great location. Toilet seat is broken and lose. I find it agonising and frustrating every time we want to use it. 1 small lift for a multi storey building is insufficient. Once we had to climb up to 3rd floor after a late night out and waiting for a lift for a long time. Has a variety of choices for breakfast but the place is too small to accommodate the number of people. Overall, we don’t feel that safe at this hotel simply because the reception is not locked, unattended, isolated and anyone can just walk in.

Just don't bother!

The only positives are the fact that the bed was quite comfy & the male on reception was super lovely & helpful.

The negatives..
- We arrived on Monday (a public holiday) and the shower didn't work properly, none of the settings worked, the door didn't close whatsoever and had come off the runners, not did the slider to fix the height. We were told this would be fixed on Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday. We left on Friday - nobody came to fix it.
- We used our coffee cups in the room on the first day. There's nothing to clean them with. They weren't replaced for the duration or our four night stay.
- The female on reception who also cleans and helps with breakfast is extremely rude. We tried to pay on check out (as advised when we checked in) and were quite literally *shouted* at in Italian because they'd already taken payment from my credit card. Again, we were told to pay by card on checkout and were trying to do the right thing. You're shouting at us for trying to make sure we've paid our bill?! I asked to take a photo of a receipt to prove we'd tried to pay and she shouted at me some more. We were shouted at even more & tutted at for not having the right change for the tax.

All in all, save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.

Two night stay in Sorrento

My husband and I really enjoyed our recent stay here. The location was amazing, the room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Absolutely gutted we missed the incredible looking breakfast, but this was due to us heading out super early on the first day and being in a rush on the second. Would highly recommend this hidden gem of a B&B!

The place was good for location, but the stuff had little to no English was hard to communicate, the breakfast option was very poor no effort really for the money we paid. Also for some reason they had a very strong lemon spray every time they clean was so strong that I couldn’t sleep at night !!!! Advice don’t use it in the room or use less :)

Firstly, we booked the hotel and found out when we got there it was the same as a 3 star hotel, which is the floor we were put on. You could hear people in other rooms, the room was very bright (nothing other than light curtain over sliding doors), they didn’t clean well between days, we had stains on our pillow cases, and the shower knob was broken. They stuck a wood screw in the handle that you had to push up and down to turn it on and off and couldn’t change the temperature with. The drain also didn’t drain so you’d be standing in a pool of water 2 minutes into your shower. The lid to the garbage was also broken. The website also said it had laundry but it did not. It did have a nice view, and was in a good location, and the breakfast was pretty good, so we were happy with that, but that’s about it.

Great location , really nice shower . But their was a dirty folder when we checked into our room which indicated to me that it wasn’t clean . I threw it out and it was out the next day . The ir were stains on the top sheet of the bed , the hotel used flat sheets and under was a mattress protector with stains and hair . Overall we had a pleasant stay , and enjoyed the location and staff kindness . Also they charge a cash tax at the end of your stay . So have money available.

We wouldn’t stay here again. We got there and we were instantly confused about where the room is. It’s in an apartment building with a bunch of other places. When we finally got into our room, the first thing we noticed was how dirty it was. There was a giant stain on the top bed sheets (a c*m stain). There was mold growing in the bathtub and shower head. Also, the next morning we went to shower and there was NO hot water! We tried the sink and the shower and both didn’t have hot water. We were disappointed with this stay.

Upon arrival we were very confused where to go do to lack of signage, residential apartment complexes. Found the reception on the 3rd floor. No one there, spent 5 minutes and called the number? No one answered. Came back 10 minutes later and was warm greeted by Laura (sp?)

When I made the reservation three weeks in advance, I called and requested a room with two beds. I followed up the day before our arrival with an email. Instead of two beds, we had a room with a large bed and a cot with cushions. The cushions were actually the type you would use on patio chairs. There were two cushions attached at the top of a bed and a single cushion at the bottom. This cushion separated from the top, so I would wake up to pick it up off the floor throughout the night. When I spoke with the owner he told me Italians don’t have rooms with two beds!! The most aggravating part of this experience is that there were several rooms with sofa beds, and they did not offer us one even though we requested. Since there were so few affordable rooms in the city, we continued our stay there.
The service was polite, great air conditioning, good breakfast and location.
Sadly, the overall experience was poor due to the dishonesty of the hotelier.

It was a little small for 4 people. I’d recommend a smaller group staying there. The staff was great, breakfast had a nice assortment, location was within walking distance of the train station and the Main Street. Fan for the bathroom was quite noisy and on the same switch as the light. It would wake others up if someone needed to go to the bathroom at night.

The property appears to be the whole floor of an apartment block, it is approximately a 10 minute walk from the train station and only a 5 minute walk from the central area of Sorrento. The reception / breakfast area is small but does serve its purpose. The room was spacious and quite well appointed but its layout did not really use the space to its advantage.

Be warned it is in a very residential area and the lobby is smelly with a matchbox sized elevator... BUT, it is only a 10 minute walk to all the good stuff, the room was very spacious with a private balcony, the breakfast was beautifully presented with lots of variety and the proprietor was so helpful and easy to communicate with via what's app. Yes it was clean and the shower was wonderful with good water pressure.

A wonderful stay at Vhome! Cannot recommend enough! The lady at reception (Lucia I think) was very helpful, she gave me a map of the local area, wifi password etc on arrival. The room was spotlessly clean & modern with sky tv channels. The rooms are on the third floor of the building and are very secure as you need a key and swipe card to get into the building and the apartment area & to use the lift. Reception ordered a taxi for me to the port in the morning & waited with me outside until it very quickly arrived. All of the staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful. Old part of town with lovely shops & restaurants is only a 5-10 min walk & the train station is also a 10 minute walk. Thank you for a lovely stay Vhome!!!

Lovely stay, felt really comfortable and safe. Beautiful room with everything you need. great staff that are really helpful and welcoming.

Jacuzzi Shower was lovely however the door was hard to open and close as comes off rail a little. The footspa didnt work but i never told anyone about this. Theres a radio with lights and also a tv in the bathroom.

Big balcony i overlooked a swimming pool for a different building and the hills.

Great selection for breakfast with drinks and snacks available 24/7

Great location with handy little shops on the corner especially the one with inflatables on the front, really lovely people and cheap. Couple mins to walk into center town and close to station. Also a sita bus stop at the end of the road. Will be returning, was too hot too do everything i wanted to do.

This little B&B was fabulous. It is in a great location, central and within walking distance to everything- the station, the town, the marina. It was great value for money. The rooms were immaculate. We were greeted by friendly staff every time we came in and out and they couldn't have been more attentive if they tried.
The breakfast was lovely with a good selection and home made Italian breakfast options.
Really would recommend to stay here!

Renovated Boutique Hotel in Safe Neighborhood

Hotel is tucked away in a large apartment building. We followed google maps to the general vicinity and found signs posted on the street for Vhome Hotel that led us to the building. Check in was quick and informative - we were provided a map of Sorrento, and where to take the ferries or bus to other locations (capri, positano, salerno, etc). The hotel is about a five minute walk to the shops and restaurants downtown. Rooms were clean and spacious. My only complaint is that the beds are a bit stiff.

Average accommodation with excellent staff.

The staff at Vhome are excellent and very friendly. Rooms also appear to have recently been renovated. Unfortunately, Vhome's location and noise really let it down. Vhome's location should mean the hotel is quiet, but this isn't the case. Bizarrely loud electronic door locks, a lack of double-glazed windows, poor insulation and bizarrely bright electrical equipment lighting make it very difficult to sleep undisturbed. The included breakfast is very average and the kitchen is very small. I wouldn't stay again despite the excellent staff.

Very comfortable room. The service was fantastic and e were made to feel very welcome. The outside of the building looks deceiving, but don't judge a book by its cover. Once inside the room was very spacious and clean and comfortable and had everything that you needed. The breakfasts are amazing. It is just a short 5 min walk to the main square in Sorrento, so it is very central.

VHome is located in a local apartment building in Sorrento. Our room was very modern, clean and well-appointed. The room had a spacious balcony, but the view was only of other apartments. The wifi was AWFUL, constantly dropping. The morning breakfast was quite diverse with very pleasant service. The bathroom had a very fancy shower/spa that was lovely. The front desk staff was not overly helpful with local suggestions, such as restaurants, directions, etc. The location is nicely central to get walk to the train station, restaurants, shops and the marinas.

Nice modern B&B room in a good location with great staff. Kept clean and of a reasonable size. Main negative was the fact that our room was right next to reception/the breakfast area (with the coffee machine the other side of the wall backing our bed) which meant that we were woken by the coffee machine and people talking at 7:30am almost every morning and we didn't feel we had much privacy even throughout the day. Breakfast was limited but fine and what I would expect for the price. Would have appreciated some coffee in the room that wasn't decaf and perhaps some small milk pots but not a big deal.

Convenient, low priced and well run apartment!

Located in a safe residential area, 10 mins walk into the main square in Sorrento. Don't let the outside of the apartments put you off because inside the apartments they are modern, clean and well run. There is even a tv in the bathroom and radio in the power shower!

Family run business and Mamma serves you fresh breakfast/coffee every morning. The whole team could not do enough for you!

This place was very clean, modern and seemed newly renovated. The hotel is small, only 6 rooms i think. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were a good size with nice large bathrooms. Air conditioning was awesome and is essential in the summer there. While not in the centre of Sorrento, it only takes 5-10 minutes to walk to the centre and port.

A little hard to find, but worth it!

The building is not visible from the street, so even the cab driver had a little difficulty finding it. It is recently updated in a contemporary fashion. The rooms are small but very clean, nice body products. The staff was very helpful. Sweet and attentive. Very yummy breakfast included every day. Nice location very close to town. A 10-15 minute walk to the train (which was suddenly on strike the day we left, yikes!). The room would be too small for families.

We stayed at Vhome for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The room is very modern and was perfect after a long day of sightseeing. The shower is really awesome and has message jets and lets you listen to music as well. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and always wanting to help. I loved getting a cappuccino in the kitchen/reception area. Breakfast in the morning had everything you needed. The hotel is a quick walk from downtown and about 10 minutes from the train station.

Great location, so friendly & welcoming

We had a lovely 3-night stay here, location is great, just a few minutes walk from shops, bars, restaurants of charming Sorrento. It's a family-run place, must've once been a very large apartment that's been converted into B&B style accommodation, I think they just have four bedrooms, ours was spacious, really nicely decorated, lovely comfortable bed, great bathroom. There was a buffet breakfast with croissants, homemade cake, cereals, juice, tomatoes, mozzarella, & of course espresso. The nicest thing was how warm & friendly they were, & will give you all the info you need for trips to Pompeii, Amalfi etc. Really enjoyed our stay.

Clean quiet hotel with welcoming staff.

The room was very clean and modern. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were great. The hotel is an easy walk to the town square. The only one small problem was that the hotel was difficult to find initially as it is hidden away on a side street.

A Superb Experience

We genuinely never bother to write reviews but our stay here was super. We could not fault the facilities, a clean, modern and beautifully designed spacious room with everything you could possibly need ( the bed was incredibly comfortable). The promotional photos for the hotel are very accurate. The shower unit was an amazing hi-tech experience! There was even a tv in our bathroom! Staff were very welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to make your stay an enjoyable experience. We loved the family atmosphere. Everyone was very professional. The location was perfect in a quiet residential apartment block a short walk from the train station and centre of town. Don't let the fact that it is an apartment block put you off, you don't need a fancy hotel facade to have a good holiday! We would absolutely recommend VHome to anyone and would definitely stay there again. A lovely family and we wish them every success in the future.

Is this the future?

VHOME was a little difficult to find but when you do find it there are many surprises. From a relatively dowdy apartment complex step onto the third floor and find a modern, beautifully designed miniature hotel of six rooms. The owner/manager is a designer and it shows. The detailing, the use of beautiful materials and the technology will stun you.

weird location lacking basic amenities

We chose this ho(s)tel based on reviews, most of which we suspect were planted, bc several other guests complained about recurrent problems. Room has lots of bells & whistles which no one needs, while lacking basic amenities. For instance, the shower plays music but doesn't drain. So it only functions as a radio. The THIRD time we mentioned the problem, we were told the plumber would be there \"in 10 minutes\" for OVER TWO HOURS, and of course he never showed up. Instead the owner (finally) showed up late at night & told us that if we don't like it we can leave, which is rather hard to do at 10pm (not to mention rude & unprofessional). He offered NO accommodation or apology, but acted like it is our fault HIS shower doesn't work. Took 2 days to get a working light, which owner hilariously took from another room (whose occupant promptly came out to complain, at the same time another guest complained his AC was broken). Bed is rock hard, and has no blanket (!) \"Hotel\" is a few rooms on the 4th floor of an OLD apartment building, with no visible signs, on dark, out-of-the-way alley that no one in town has heard of, and only access is tiny ancient elevator with bizarre key that doesn't work half the time, so after LONG day, you have to trudge up 4 flights of stairs. I would not recommend this experiment to anyone. Stay at a normal hotel with normal services and professional staff.

O apto. é muito bem localizado, em rua silenciosa, próxima à parte antiga da cidade Existe elevador para acesso ao apto. O quarto é espaçoso, confortável, limpo, com muitas comodidades. Banheiro limpo, porém o box é pequeno. Roupas de cama e de banho ótimas. Espaço para café da manhã comunitário e agradável. Café com muitas opções e máquina de café e chá disponíveis todo o tempo.
