While spending 2 weeks in Italy, this was the best hotel we stayed at compared to the ones in Florence and Rome. It is quaint and cozy, the staff know who you are and are like family while you’re there. The hotel is on one of the main streets in Sorrento (no cars allowed, so you have to walk a few hundred feet to get a taxi. Not a long walk). There is noise from the street but a closed window mostly mutes it out. Very centrally located to shops, restaurants, and about half mile to where you can see the water (longer if you want to actually go down to the water). The only negative is the thin walls. We heard everything in the hallway and the lobby (our room was on the main floor: 3rd). Thankfully we didn’t have to walk up any stairs but the elevator only takes you to the 3rd floor so if your room is on the 4th then you will have stairs everyday. We used the laundry service (10€ to do your own laundry), which was must needed but if another guest is doing laundry before you, you’re dependent on them remembering to move from washer to dryer/take clothes out of dryer in a timely manner. Otherwise you’ll be waiting around.

I recommend staying here if you want to be in the heart of Sorrento and are looking for something budget-friendly.

PS - two of us stayed in a quadruple room, which I recommend so you have the right amount of space.

They were able to check us in early and that was great since we came from Rome. They were in a central location and we were able to walk the train/bus station and Sorrento port easily. It was a comfortable stay. Thanks to all staff! :)

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel del Corso during our time in Sorrento. The hotel is perfectly located right on Corso Italia, one of the main shopping and walking streets in town, just steps away from restaurants, cafes,shopping, and a short walk to the marina and historic center. You truly can’t beat the location.

Our family of four stayed in the quadruple family room, which was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. There was plenty of room for two adults and two teenagers to relax after long days of exploring the Amalfi Coast.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to offer recommendations or assist with anything we needed. Their warm hospitality really made us feel welcome.

Every morning, a nice breakfast spread was offered with a variety of options: pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereals, and fresh coffee. It was a great way to start the day.

The hotel itself feels well-maintained and inviting, blending classic charm with modern touches. Though it's located in the heart of town, the rooms were quiet and restful at night.

If you’re visiting Sorrento and looking for a hotel with great service, an unbeatable location, and comfortable accommodations for families, Hotel del Corso is an excellent choice. We would absolutely stay here again!

Our worst stay in Europe. We booked this hotel 8 months in advanced and, at the time of arrival, they accommodated us in a room without a window. Literally a closet. When asked why, they said that I booked an economy room and that the hotel was full. We were a group of 12 with 6 rooms, all of us paid the same amount of money and 4 of the 6 rooms had a window. The staff was nasty. I was even afraid of asking any questions because their attitude was rude.
I did not like, and do not recommend this hotel.

The room we stayed in had a ripped bedspread and 1 old picture on the wall, not very memorable. Fortunately we were not in the room all that much. Our room right off a lovely veranda overlooking the busy street, very noisy at night when you wanted to sleep. Not wheelchair friendly, an elevator but steps up and down to get into room. Patio on top level did not appear ready for guests to use. Continental breakfast was good. A good location if you are looking for shopping and restaurants.

Awesome family run hotel located right in the Centre of Sorrento. The owners and management are genuinely kind people who went above and beyond to explain and make recommendations in order to ensure we made the most of our experience in Sorrento. The establishment is clean and well run. Excellent location. Good continental breakfast for a charge of 10 euros. This stay was perfect for a few nights, I did find it very loud in the area as it's right by the centre of Sorrento in the middle of summer. However, the staff we're so accommodating and kind, breakfast in the mornings we're so tasty, the hotel was incredible clean!

I would absolutely stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone who want's to be in a popular area in Sorrento to make it easy to get around. Highly recommended!

The hotel is completely renovated, very clean and the staff is super friendly, in fact, the owners are present and with a smile willing to help with any needs. The location is on the pedestrian street, which was a disadvantage for me since I traveled with 2 babies (plus strollers and suitcases). On a trip without my daughters, the location would have been perfect.
When making the reservation, I chose this hotel because it had \"24-hour valet parking on the property\" otherwise I would not have chosen this hotel. I let the owners know, who very kindly explained to me that it was a translation error when listing, which I understand, but I chose this hotel because I could drive up to the door and get out with the suitcases and the girls, otherwise I would have chosen another hotel. I understand the explanation they gave me, but I also understand the inconvenience of having to go to the parking lot which is 2 blocks away when arriving and leaving.
So I do not recommend this hotel for those traveling with young children, but I DO recommend it for those traveling as a couple or with older children.

The hotel room was austere, like what I imaging a monk would have, and that's OK. It was incredibly clean, I think yo could safely eat off the floor. The shower leaked all over the floor forcing us to get new towels daily.
The problem was the noise. We stayed in one of the rooms that was off an open porch. The first night we were so tired we heard nothing, the second night, the music stopped at 10. The third night the music and people yelling were so loud that I could feel the bass in my chest. And it went on until midnight. I don't know where the noise came from, somewhere on the street. If you stay here, make sure you get an interior room.
The rating is one star because of the noise, but it was 5 stars for everything else so it's too bad.

The staff was friendly, but they put us in a room that looked more like an apartment, which they leave out of the pictures. This room had stickers on the walls, pealing posters, a broken chair, a yucky looking couch and random dusty knick knacks. Everything else was fine, just don't let them put you in this room downstairs. I believe the other rooms upstairs are simple and nice. It's also very loud from the busy street.

Lovely hotel, very central. The staff are amazing!! Imma and Luca are always there to assist you. Imma cooks and bakes to provide the most delicious breakfasts and serves with a smile and a friendly chat. Vincento was a joy to chat to and share a joke. Nothing was too much trouble.The rooms are well equipped, lovely big and extra comfy bed, shower big and powerful, so refreshing!! Nice shower gel provided which was a bonus. Really nice terrace which is used for breakfast but then great to use at other times for a bit of shade and for people watching as it overlooks Corso Italia. Also a roof terrace which was lovely, just could have done with a couple of parasols up there for a bot of shafe as the temperature was high when we were there. The only other thing that would have been useful would be a fridge in the room, but on the whole our stay was wonderful and we all agreed we will definitely stay there again. The hotel also felt very covid safe.

200 year old building was charming. Huge wooden doors to enter the room. Windows opened onto the street. Sitting area on top of the hotel with view of the bay and Mt Vesuvius. Street noise made sleeping difficult in our room over the street. I enjoyed the street sounds other than late at night, especially when a violinist played outside our widow on Saturday.

The location in Sorrento was right in the heart of everything and very walkable to the old city, the train station and the harbor. The only complaint is the hotel has no internal elevator, but they helped with luggage down one flight to our room. Breakfast was included but cooked eggs were extra. The staff was very helpful and the room was plain but functional and surprisingly quiet for being on a shopping street.

The bed was really hard and the room smelled like sewer maybe it was backing up??? When we first went into the room you could tell they had sprayed air fresher but by the end of day the smell was bad and continued to get worst by morning to the point it woke me up! We did not complain because we were only there two nights...

Met all our expectations for what we wanted.

We loved staying at the hotel and enjoyed a very full breakfast every morning. I found the staff very welcoming and made you feel at home. It is situated right above the shopping area and very close to the seaside. Used the hotel as a base to explore the area including a day trip to Pompaii. Love the area and did some long walks along the seaside.

Perfect location

Hotel is located perfectly in the town centre, so close to everything. We went for a wedding and was 4 minutes walk from the cloisters and 10 minutes walk from the venue. Breakfast was fine, although we missed it a few times so it would have been nice to have room service. Could also do with some cusions on the garden furniture in the courtyard. Overall though it was great and would recommend and return.

Really nice hitel

Great hotel in a lovely location. Run by very nice people. Hotel was superbly situated right in pedestrianised area of town really close to great shops, restaurants and bars, yet was very quiet and peaceful.

Also handy for train/bus station and within walking distance of beach, marina and Old fishing village.

Amazing stay

We stayed here in early July 2018. Amazing staff, excellent location to bars, reataurantes,shopping, train station, walks to the beach. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Owners on site amazing. Breakfast was also provided and really good. I would stay here again and again.

Nice hotel excellent location

Excellent location in the centre of the pedestrian zone. 10 minute walk from the train station. Staff is very helpful. Breakfast was great and made all the better on the outdoor terrace! This hotel is clean and pleasant. The only complaint is that the beds were not extremely comfortable. Despite this, we would go back there anytime!

I stayed with my 2 girls on our journey through Italy, Hotel Del Dorso was where we stayed in Sorrento (one of my favorite places) this location is centrally located and close to everything, very clean, laundry service - great breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous family run hotel.

This hotel has an excellent location, near the Piazza Tasso, 10 minutes from the station. Breakfast was delicious. They made us feel very much at home.
