Property is perfectly situated. Close to the sorrento lift to get to the beach and close to restaurants and shops. Rooms accessible by elevator. Room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was good (and free) at Da Franco. Had a triple occupancy room. Room was spacious enough for 3 people

This property was phenomenal! We stayed in 5 properties total for our honeymoon and this is our favourite by far. The room was clean, free treats, water (and even champagne for our honeymoon). The staff couldn’t have been nicer. We checked in with Rafaela and she was so kind and funny. She recommended us all sorts of activities. Breakfast that was included was delicious (and great staff there too!) The beach club they are partnered with gives a big discount and it was great there as well! This hotel is central to literally everything and we had no issue getting around! Would 100% stay again

Not a luxury experience

We stayed at three hotels during our trip, and unfortunately, this was the most expensive and the most disappointing.

It’s marketed as a luxury experience, and that’s what we paid for — but it didn’t deliver. The room was basic, and aside from the location, there was really nothing luxurious about the stay.

Customer service was lacking — staff were either unavailable or unfriendly when we needed help. At no point did we feel welcome.

When you pay this kind of price, you expect to be looked after. Sadly, that just wasn’t our experience.

We stayed here for 2 nights and would definitely stay here again. It is an easy walk from the train station (about 10 minutes) and right in the middle of everything. It was easy to find many delicious food options very close to hotel and it is a short walk to the water. The room we stayed in had a small kitchen. Rafaella was very responsive and gave us great recommendations. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great staff but not present 24/7. “Queen bed” was two small mattresses of average quality pushed together. Tiny shower but you’re in a historic building. You get a stovetop coffee maker to have Italian-style coffee for free every morning!!

Amazing host and location !

My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon and I’m so glad! It was a beautiful hotel with great hospitality in an AMAZING location in sorrento. We were able to walk everywhere from Sorrento Inn! Rafella was a sweetheart and we will be definitely be back!

Excellent small hotel in the heart of the old town

Small hotel in the heart of old town. Building is probably XVIII century, renovated of course. Small lobby has tour guides for your use; real guides, not an advertisement variety. A small library of books in multiple languages for reading.
Rooms are not big but excellent: clean, modern look, comfortable mattresses. Kitchen is a perfect example of Italian design and fits inside big cupboard. Daily cleaning. Excellent Wi-Fi.
The only possible trouble for some people could be that a car cannot come to the door - street is too narrow. You would have to carry your luggage about 200 feet. If you drive to Sorrento, the nearest parking is about 5 minutes away.
I have to say separately about receptionists: exceptionally good and go beyond their duties to help. One evening we came about 9:30pm and Rafaella (her shift ends at 6pm or maybe 7pm) was waiting for us to warn about tomorrow's strike on the railroad. She is very nice and always available online.
If we come to Sorrento again, I would definitely stay there and not even look elsewhere.

I booked this hotel based on 3 requirements: location, A/C, WIFI. The location was great however, the WIFI signal was too poor to make it usable and the A/C was broken. When I asked to be moved to a room with working A/C, I was informed that it had been broken for several months (long before my booking were it was advertised that there was A/C.). The room was way too hot and with the window open the road noise kept me awake all night. I also had to go to a nearby cafe to sign on to WiFi for work. When I brought this up to hotel staff, no appology or compensation were offered.

4 days stay with family @ Sorrento Inn Funzionista

I stayed with my wife & our 2 yr old son at Sorrento Inn Funzionista. Raffaella was a wonderful & sweet host. She explained us about the apartment/room and all the services provided by the Hotel. She also guided us about the nearby grocery services & other things we needed for our son. The property is located in the very historical center of the town with many good restaurants/bars/shops nearby. When we will visit Sorrento next time, we would surely stay there again.

Wonderful staff, clean room, central location!

We had a wonderful stay here! Raffaella was so helpful in giving us plenty of recommendations on restaurants as well as how to get around. She was incredibly generous and helped us with our bags when we got there as well. They also let us keep our luggage there for a couple hours after we checked out while we got some food which was great. Funzionista is very central and easy to get to, I highly recommend it to anyone going to Sorrento!

Raffaella & Natalia were fantastic hosts. Very welcoming & helpful. A distant barking dog one night was irritating, however, we did have all windows open that night! The following night, with windows closed, all was fine.
Would be happy to recommend Sorrento Inn Funzionista.

The hotel is in a perfect location, clean, has all amenities that were listed, and the staff are great, friendly, and helpful.
The only bad thing, it says the hotel is on the second floor, but one particular room is sub-level and the rest are all above. For the sub-level room, you are at the bottom of the steps that are right at the front door, so you hear everyone come and go. Very noisy.

Great place to stay in Sorrento

We stayed in this hotel for three nights toward the end of September. This was part of a five week trip to Italy, with a short stopover in Sorrento to see my wife's family who were on a tour. We booked it based on location and price primarily. It turned out to be a gem. We had a triple room - only one left on short notice. The room was spacious, clean, very comfortable, with a kitchen. Staff was great. This is a very small hotel but was ideal for us.

Rafaella was wonderful and enthusiastically provided great advice about restaurants, transportation, local sites, etc. The room was comfortable and loved the \"full\" kitchenette (just lacked an oven - who needs one?). We enjoyed our experience there and would definitely stay again.

Fantastic scpot - not car accessible!

Excellent, hidden away gem in the heart of the lanes of old town Sorrento!

Friendly and warm greetings, suggested restaurants for us that weren't obviously touristy.

This is not a traditional hotel room, but its clean with all mod cons and in an old building / courtyard in the heart of the city! Kitchen plus fridge and dining table.

PLEASE NOTE _ Don't follow your GPS in an attempt to drive there - read the parking info they send = you park a few streets away and walk with in. YOU CANNOT DRIVE TO THE ADDRESS_ it is V V V narrow / no car access - luckily the owners boyfriend was able to help us negotiate the tight turns back to the car park!!

The hotel was clean and the location is priceless. The location is the key on your Sorrento vacation. We were 10 min walk to the train station and bus terminal. The beach was about the 10 min. walk also.
The small kitchen has everything you need to prepared a quick breakfast or dinner.

A gem in Sorrento

The Inn is right in the centre of Sorrento with many restaurants close by. It is quiet, being set within a courtyard, and is a short stroll away from all the wonderful scenery and attractions of Sorrento. Raffaella,who runs the Inn is a gem, so helpful and so knowledgeable about the area. At a moment's notice she got me a taxi tour of the Amalfi Coast to replace the company who failed to turn up. She is also super-friendly and I much enjoyed our chats.

The accommodation is right in the heart of Sorrento close to restaurants and the sea. Unfortunately the windows were too high to see out of so the room felt a bit like a prison and the reception desk right beside our room door made us feel we were being listened to! Facilities were good, however, and staff friendly.

Stayed an extra night because we enjoyed staying there. It was central to all the sights in sorrento and we could go to Naples and Pompei by train. The only problem we encountered was that drove in and the place is on a pedestrian street which we could not drive to. When we got there they directed us to a parking lot 5 minutes away. It would be nice if we knew this ahead of time for drivers. Natalia and Rafaela were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent location for walkers. Easy access to shopping and restaurants in old part and to marina and Piazza Tesso. Loved the atmosphere. this is a small Inn run by the daughter of the owner. She is very helpful. No food service but our room equipped with a kitchenette and basics such as cutlery, a few spices, coffee, mini fridge, 2 burner stove, pots etc. Shower was a bit tight but on the whole a great spot. Would return without a doubt. Stayed 4 nights.

Great no fuss accommodation in prime location.

We had a 10 day stay at this Guesthouse in the middle of the old town of Sorrento and found the location ideal for venturing out into the town and also within easy reach of most major attractions and pick up points for trips.
The accommodation itself was very clean and included air conditioning, and a basic mini kitchen including hob, microwave and fridge which we found very useful.
The staff where brilliant providing help when required and always available.

After arriving from what could have been the worst day on our vac'n (phone and wallet pick pocketed from the trains), our hotel hosts (Vincenzo and Rafael) had my husband and I enjoying the day again. They provided us with tips for restaurants, booked a scooter for us, provided us with anything (reasonable ) we could ask for - some of the best hotel hosts we have ever encountered. The room we had was very clean (newly rennovated) and provided all the essentials with a very practical European feel for a great price. There is no patio, pool or extra's but you are right in the heart of Sorrento so why stay in your room? We were walking distance to everything, and I can't say enough great things about Vincent and Rafael. Thanks for a great finish to our Italian tour!

Brand new hotel near EVERTHING!

Loved the location and the staff was so helpful with setting up tours and answering questions. They made me feel like family. The rooms are new & HUGE with full kitchenettes, table & chairs, dishes, large comfy bed & pillows, plenty of outlets, good bathroom lighting & ventilation, towel warmer, modern hairdryer, room temperature control & free WIFI. Great hotel & great value!

Atendimento: O atendimento da Rafaella foi um dos diferenciais, sem contar a qualidade do serviço de quarto, se atentando a todos os detalhes para manter a nossa experiência o mais positiva possível. Amei a cidade de Sorrento e isso se dá pela excelência entregue durante a hospedagem.

Localização: Extremamente privilegiada, muito próxima das duas principais ruas de Sorrento e a poucos metros do elevador para acesso à Marina.

Estrutura: Pegamos o quarto no último piso e gostamos muito da estrutura do quarto, tem um pequeno lance de escadas, mas nada que impactasse consideravelmente na experiência.

Local muito bom para o que se pretende a ser, todo funcional com cozinha adaptada e banheiro super útil. Atendimento excepcional de Rafaella, super prestativa e legal. Local fica no centro de Sorrento, há 10 minutos da estação. De todos os lugares que fui durante a viagem, este seria com certeza um que voltaria novamente, recomendo!

Cette photo ne représente pas exactement la chambre et les deux petites fenêtres étaient situées à 9 pieds de haut, donc inaccessible.Très propre.Lit confortable. La kitchenette devrait prévoir des ustensiles de meilleure qualité et des produits de base tel que sel, poivre et huile. Sinon l’accueil est chaleureux, l’entretien est excellent. Bien situé dans l’ancienne ville et à quelques minutes de la gare.
