This charming guesthouse is located in the historical centre of Sorrento, a few steps from corso Italia where guests will find all the best shops, restaurants, bars, cafés and pizzerias. A 2-minute walk will take guests to Piazza Tasso which leads to the tourist port where hydrofoils leave to Capri, Ischia and Procida.
Around 500 m from the accommodation is a bus station where buses leave for Positano, Amalfi, Praiano, Furore, and also the Circumvesuviana train station to get to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples. Capodichino Airport is approximately 55 km from the establishment.
Set in a building dating back to 1700, this residence is a highly sought-after and intimate hideaway amidst the distinctive colours and odours of Sorrento life. The modern elegance, luxury and intimate comfort offered to guests ensure a memorable sojourn.
The property, which offers its guests 3 rooms in total, was renovated in 2008. The rooms are large and elegant, furnished and decorated with the latest in design and comfort and all are unique with their own charm and character.
The furniture includes a double bed, mirror, desk, design chair, chest of drawers, wardrobe and an armchair. They are all equipped with the latest comforts, including central heating and air conditioning with personalised settings, a plasma satellite TV, wifi Internet access, a minibar, electronic safe, radio, hi-fi stereo and a hairdryer.
Each room also feature an en suite bathroom with a shower. The hotel has a sun terrace and sun loungers and parasols are provided on the nearby beach.
The hotel serves buffet-style breakfast which is served on the roof garden in summer. From Naples' Capodichino Airport, follow the A3 motorway towards Sorrento.
Take the Castellammare di stabia exit and follow directions to Sorrento until reaching Piazza Tasso Square. From Piazza Garibaldi train station take the Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento.
From outside the station, turn left onto the Piazza Tasso square.

We enjoyed our stay at the Magi House. We used Sorrento as a base to explore the Bay of Naples, Capri and the Amalfi Coast. It was great to return to the hotel to relax. It is situated in the city, and has easy access to the port and to the lidos. The breakfast was also impressive.

If I could give this property more than 5 stars I would! The room itself was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The star here though, is the staff. From the moment we booked, they went above and beyond to ensure we had an incredible stay in Sorrento. They helped us book transportation, gave us recs on things to do and places to eat and were truly kind and caring. We will definitely book here again! Property was centrally located as well. We walked to the beach clubs, and both marinas to enjoy boat tours and dinner on the water.

Magi House is in a prime location. You are about 400 meters from the beach. The breakfast was excellent and it gave you a taste of Sorrento. The house keeping was excellent. Despite them saying sheets and towels would be replaced every 3 days, they replaced them everyday! The staff was extremely nice and very accommodating when making dinner reservations. You are literally within a 15minute walk to any restaurant or shopping stores. The LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION deserves a 10 star rating. Thank you Emma and Magi House staff!!!

The penthouse apartment with the kitchenette was excellent. The property location is great - just a few steps away from restaurants and shops. The Gelato shop owned by the same owner is magnificent - loved the Cafe gelato! Also the staff were great - Elba at breakfast, Rossana at reception and the lady at the Gelato shop ;-)

Loved this place located on a busy street full of restaurants and stores. Was worried about the noise but no problem with the great window shutters which blocked all street noises. Also there was a beautiful front alcove/patio to sit and watch. Wonderful breakfast with the nicest lady making breakfast. Ferry to Capri is about a 2 minute walk away. Great location, comfortable bed, modern decor and a funky bathroom - loved the color!

Andrea and Rosa at reception were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Their advice about trips to Positano and elsewhere was spot on. All other staff were also friendly and always had a smile on their faces which added a good vibe to our trip.

This place is amazing! It is a cozy place, very well kept. Service is excellent as well as cleanliness. Regarding location, this hotel is close to everything. It is just a few steps from the main road. On arrival, our driver contacted the attendant who walked to the streets and carried our luggage to the hotel. The room has everything you may need, including air conditioning temperature control. Our room had a private terrace with jacuzzi!! Priceless!! Breakfast was great as well. It is served in an open terrace in the 3rd floor. No elevator available. There’s only a pergola covering the sitting area. Most of the tables are under the That didn’t stopped us from having a wonderful time. The servers at the breakfast area were excellent, especially Rosariana (I think that was her name). There is no front desk attendant after 9 pm. When I’m back in Sorrento I’ll definitely stay here again.

We were upgraded to the Magi Antica Dimora, which was a fabulous small boutique residence which is based on the same provision as the Relais. We would definitely recommend this quaint, quiet, well located and appointed residence, capped off by excellent service and attention to detail to make the time of its visitors well spent.

We stayed at Magi Antica Dimora 2 nights instead of Magi Relais, due it was under renovation, but ended up it was the best choice stayed at Magi Antica Dimora, the room was spacious , beautiful & modern, the most of all is the wonderful staff, everyone were courteous , acknowledge to every questions we asked, extremely kind and helpful, Thanks to Rosa , Andrea and Maria( loved her baked&cooks), we definitely will go back.

We were upgraded to the penthouse, thank you, and we loved the room. It opens up to the roof terrace and we enjoyed sitting outside in the evening. However, our room had an odor that resembled a lingering sewage spill. The property management tried to mask it with a heavy air freshener which made it worse. We noticed that the ventilation in the room did not work (and opening windows was not an option due to mosquitoes and smoke from the neighbors), so perhaps that was the cause. In any case, the room was comfortable except for the fouls smell which made our experience very uncomfortable. We did not raise the issue because we only stayed for three nights.

Our short stay in Sorrento
From the initial warm welcoming smile from Roberta, the receptionist, to the beautiful suite and the breakfast area on the roof terrace, our one night stay in Magi House Relais was idyllic. Its location, in the heart of the historic centre of Sorrento, was so convenient for our short stay. The Main Street, viewing area of the Bay of Naples and the shops and restaurants all within a 5 minute walk. There are no views of the Bay from the hotel and no lift in the hotel nor parking. This did not deminish the the relaxing quality of our short break as we arrived by train, the station is less than 10 minutes walk away from the hotel. There are literally hundreds of restaurants to choose from just outside the front door. It was just perfect and Sorrento is still beautiful.

We arrived early and were not going to make it back before the desk closed at 9 pm. The owner heard and helped get us settled, he wanted us to feel like family and we did. I really enjoyed our stay. It was quite, had a roof top terrace for and excellent breakfast. They made sure everything was taken care of throughout our stay and helped get us to the train station in Salerno. Rosa and Roberta were amazing! Much love to them! The only thing I would say is that the breakfast could be open past 10am for the price. You go there to relax so no early breakfast :(

Magi House Antica Dimora, A Wonderful Surprise!!\n
After a disastrous, sleepless night at another hotel, we quickly booked the last available room at Magi House (Antica Dimora's other property). Too early for check-in, we dropped off our bags before heading to Positano for the day. Upon our return, we were met at our car by Andrea from the hotel, who very excitedly told us that he had a big surprise for us: they had moved our bags and were upgrading us to the suite at the newly opened Antica Dimora!! I literally had tears in my eyes as we toured the breathtaking, brand-new accommodations: a huge room with beautiful bedding, flatscreen TV, large bathroom with a gorgeous walk-in shower, enormous Jacuzzi tub, elegant lighting and many other luxurious amenities. On top of that, the room--as well as many of the public spaces in the hotel--is tastefully decorated with museum-quality architectural antiques that the owner (who is an antiquities dealer) placed throughout--a feast for the senses! Breakfast every morning was served on the upstairs terrace (which is also equipped with a large hot tub) by a lovely woman who put out a beautiful spread of homemade pastries and cooked our eggs to order. Andrea was helpful in suggesting wonderful restaurants to enhance our stay and all of the staff was so warm and welcoming we felt like family. Most importantly, we finally had a good night's sleep!!

Sorrento can seem like just another beautiful tourist trap. The staff at Magi house, however, makes you feel so welcome, so at home and so special. Its like staying a a friends home, but with really good service, well designed rooms, and a great location. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Magi House Relais—actually, we wish we could have stayed longer as we were only there for one night. When we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They carried our bags to our room, helped us find the beach, and booked us the last reservation at a nearby restaurant. They also helped us book a driver to Naples for the following day and were very communicative before we even arrived in Italy.

We have never been treated as well as we were at Magi House at any hotel or b & b we have ever stayed at. We arrived later than expected and when we got there THREE staff came out to welcome us and help with our bags. The staff were kind, patient, courteous and knowledgeable. They answered all our questions and set us up with two great excursions (with equally great guides)- a boat trip to Capri and semi-private car to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello.

Super modern and bright! The location was perfectly located in the walking district. Check in was efficient and friendly; we each got a glass of prosecco! Exquisite homemade pastries and cakes set the breakfast apart! I must say we both found our beds a bit too firm (which could be easily addressed by adding a mattress topper) but they were of good quality and we were able to sleep well. Overall lovely stay!

We were delighted to find this hotel even though we didn't realize just how perfect it would actually be. A block from the sea and just a few blocks to the center of town. Great Restaurants and shops lined the streets in this historic district. Customer service was excellent and rooms bright and airy with balconies. Included a nice breakfast with a variety of choices. Smaller, quiet hotel which is what we prefer.

It has amazing staff, the breakfast was great (and they made eggs to order), it was close to the waterfront and everything was in extremely well maintained. The hotel was beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly situated in Sorrento. It's right in the center of town, walkable from the train station and port. The staff was super friendly and helpful from check-in, to holding our bags, and making dinner reservations for us. They even upgraded us to the Penthouse at no extra charge -- what a beautiful suite with a private balcony! The breakfast was also great, and you get to eat on the lovely terrace. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it if you are going to Sorrento!

This hotel is located away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento but is just a short walk from almost anything you want to do or need. The rooms are new, clean, spacious and have everything. But the highlight of the hotel is the staff--always smiling and able to provide information about everything in or near Sorrento. Plus they can arrange tours, etc. They set up an Amalfi coast tour for us that was perfect. Stay here if you can.

Well appointed hotel with welcoming staff
We booked a superior double room that was a good size with an excellent shower room. The hotel is in a great location in the old part of Sorrento but not too far from the marina and the harbour. You can't park very close but that didn't bother us as we came by train. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options all of good quality but even better all the staff made us feel very welcome and seemed genuinely keen to do what they could to make our stay enjoyable.

The hotel was really nice in a great location. The staff were all great and super friendly. The room was modern and spacious as was the bathroom. The only downside was the noise, especially with the wind at night time and the neighbouring building having a tarpaulin covering something near our window and was not tied down properly so it was flapping around in the wind which was quite noisy. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

FANTASTIC! right in the middle of Sorrento stayed 3 nights out of 9 while exploring Sorrento and Amalfi coast for us could not have picked a better place to stay. Good breakfast on roof terrace or in room if raining. Room was decorated to high standard and had little extra touches actually the whole place was very tastefully decorated! I must say the owner should be very proud property and of his staff they went above and beyond to help from reception(especially Carolina)porter, cleaner and breakfast waitress were so polite and did genuinely seem to love their job, would definitely stay here again when visiting Sorrento. Thank you all for a great stay...Oh must say had great massage in the salon downstairs an added bonus.

After reading great reviews about the Magi House, we decided to stay there and we really loved it! The location is the best! It's a pedestrian street with many great restaurants. We didn't need a car to go anywhere in Sorrento. The room (the Bacco room) was very clean, very beautiful and modern. The service was perfect! Before we arrived in Sorrento, we communicated with Alessandro and Carolina and both were very kind and replied to our e-mails promptly. They do their best to make their guests feel welcome and happy. They are wonderful people! The breakfast is on the rooftop and it was delicious and fresh. The ladies who work in the breakfast area were also very kind. We asked for a private tour and Carolina recommended Sorrentours. We loved our tour with Serafino. We recommend Magi House to anyone who goes to Sorrento.
