It is very important to know the hotel is directly on the square. While this is great from being in a central location, it is very noisy at night (soundproofing is not the best).

Staff was on top of your needs, they would set up trips, gave great food recommendations, the breakfast was amazing, healthy options, and great pastries. Lots of fruit, and even offer scrambled eggs daily. But their specialty was cappuccino with a chocolate foam heart. The place was spotless and your room smelled so fresh after they cleaned it.

We booked the junior suite for our 25th anniversary, and it was a wonderful experience. Lisa at the front desk was so kind. She not only helped us with check-in but also recommended a nice place and arranged a last-minute dinner reservation at a nearby restaurant, which made our celebration extra special. The hotel is conveniently located near everything, and the breakfast buffet was decent with a little of variety. The only drawback was some outside noise at night, which my husband found a bit bothersome. Other than that, the staff was warm and welcoming, and the hotel has a timeless, classic charm.

The junior suite option at the hotel offered fantastic views of the Square and although with balcony doors open it gave a birds eye view and noisy ambiance, this was immediately cut once the doors were closed thanks to their triple glazing, so best of both worlds! Staff were excellent, offering recommendations and could not do enough at checking in and would highly recommend this central location, certainly would stop at this hotel again if in Sorrento. Also worth mentioning they organised one-way transport from Naples Airport via a MPV taxi which was superb. The driver was local and extremely knowledgeable chatting to us on the way to the hotel and giving us some tips. 10/10

Excellent stay in Sorrento

This hotel was fantastic. The room was spacious and modern and had two balconies overlooking the Piazza. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and offer help when asked. The location was right in the heart of Sorrento. If I return to the city I will certainly stay here again.

This hotel was incredible! I stayed in two hotels in Sorrento on this trip and this was by far my favorite. They upgraded our room to a Junior suite and I must say- it was incredible. The balcony was huge, and overlooked the center of the city square. We got a concert view from our balcony when the music and dancing was happening! Truly magic. The room itself was so spacious, and the bathroom was stocked with amenities. The staff were incredible from start to finish. The location was probably the best in the whole city. I HIGHLY recommend this place and will be back again the future.

Very nice hotel. Great location, very clean, and the staff were helpful. The But…The only downside was the discotheque club located beneath the hotel. Opened at 11pm until 3am. The music bass was very noticeable. Have to imagine all low floor hotel rooms hear and feel this. The three of our phones sound apps were on high volume to try to washout music.

This is an amazing hotel! The convenient location in the center of everything saved us a ton of money on taxis. We could walk to everything. The location saved us both time and money, and we truly enjoyed the views. Although you are right in the center of everything, the soundproof windows proved to be very effective and you are never bothered by outside noise. The staff is as friendly, professional, and personal as you could hope for. They seem to know everyone saying there by name and they were very interactive and helpful in every way. An additional plus, they have a fabulous breakfast and a gorgeous terrace upon which you can eat it. Highly recommend!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. It’s a historic landmark, centrally located in the heart of Sorrento, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. It’s also conveniently close to the train station and Marina Piccola.

What made our stay especially memorable was the staff — everyone was so friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home after our day trips. Our room was clean, spacious, and came with a lovely balcony.

Breakfast was fantastic, with all the breads and pastries homemade. On the day we had an early train, Maria even packed us a breakfast with juice to go — such a thoughtful gesture!

We are so happy we chose to stay here. It’s truly one of the best hotels we experienced during our trip!

This is a family owned and staffed property. They attended to every detail perfectly. The hotel was spotless. The room was very large compared to most, overlooking the Tasso Piazza. The family was very welcoming and advised us of the better places to dine. There is no doubt that I would highly recommend Palazzo Jannuzzi Relais to every one.

The location of this hotel was great as was the wonderful owner and staff. The breakfast buffet had a variety of options and our room was so brightly decorated in yellow like the delicious lemons of the area. I highly recommend this hotel in Sorrento.

Seriously, the most amazing staff and the best location in Sorrento. Lisa, thank you so much for your hospitality and attention to detail. You made us feel at home and you made Sorrento a special place for us.

We spent 2 weeks in Capri for our honeymoon and added a few days in Sorrento to unwind before heading home. Lisa surprised us with Champagne, cookies and chocolate and a nice note on arrival. Our balcony overlooked the main plaza where we spent our evenings sipping wine and enjoying the live music from the various performers. Hotel staff helped us with our bags and transfers and worked with our skippers to make sure we had a seamless experience. So much more was on offer to us but we were completely spent from our time in Capri so we spent most of our time walking to local restaurants and cafes and buying souvenirs from all the nearby stores. Everything you need is right there. And if you score a room facing the main square, the people watching is endless.

We will be back for sure!

A Serene place for visiting Sorrento!

It was a beautiful, clean and ascetically pleasing room! Loved the cheeriness of the yellow and our private balcony was a huge bonus when we put the kids to bed and enjoyed a cocktail on our own. It was a perfect location on Sorrento to the train station and the center of town. It wasn’t loud at all and we had great night sleeps. The breakfast was plentiful and they made coffee to order! The breakfast patio was also beautiful. The front desk staff was amazing! They were so helpful with finding restaurants, organizing day trips for us and arranging transportation. It made our stay so seamless and relaxing!!

From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out we were extremely impressed by the quality and service of this hotel. The hotel overall is beautiful and clean and impressive. The room was big with multiple windows and large bathroom. The bed was comfortable and we were greeted with a bottle of champagne. The breakfast was amazing delicious with so many options. Liza checked us in and treated us like family. She asked us about dinner and helped us with recommendations and reservations. We can’t wait to return.

Excellent in every way!

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Palazzo Jannuzzi Relais. The staff was very nice. Breakfast was good. We had a junior suite with a balcony overlooking the main town square. The location could not be better. It’s close to lots of shops and restaurants and not far from the train station. We were able to easily catch the Circumvesuviana to Pompeii for a tour and pull our bags for the short walk to the station to return to Naples. It is also only a 10-15 walk down to the port to take the ferry to Capri. The staff are genuinely nice people, the location is perfect, and the room was big and clean. I hope I get the opportunity to return to Sorrento and stay there again.

A perfect small central hotel

What a wonderfully located hotel. We wanted a central location to explore the area- trips to Capri, The Amalfi Coast, Pompeii and Vesuvius, this couldn’t have been a better location in the main square with access to the train station and the port. It isn’t a quiet location if that is what you are looking for.

I booked the junior suite room 26 on the top floor on December 23, and it is an an awkward and defective room. It is too-the-roof room with low ceilings and a weird half floor in the room. The sound insulation of the roof is non-existent and the skylights are not sound sealed. Because of the street party on 12.23, we could not sleep, so I asked for a different room at 12.45 am, and it was much quieter. At checkout I asked them to charge me for the standard room, and they said I paid thru Expedia, so there was nothing they could do. I just asked Expedia to call them and ask for same, and they lied and said both rooms were junior suites, so no discount needed. The suite had a kitchen and dining area and huge patio. The second was just a room.

The service was stuffy and mediocre. The decor is pretty dated.

The breakfast was just ok.

You can find better among the many Sorrento hotels.

This was such a fantastic stay! I stayed here last week with my family, boyfriend, and brother's girlfriend, and everything was perfect. The staff were all so accommodating and kind. Every bedroom was different and unique and so adorable. The kitchen was one of my favorite spots, and it had a home-like vibe to it with stunning white tables and chairs and accents of yellows and blues. This is also located in the most fantastic part of Sorrento, and it is quiet and super safe!! I would make this the place I stay at every time I visit Sorrento because I know I will get fantastic service and a beautiful place to stay.

- 5 min walk from train and bus stations, and 10 min walk to the ferry port
- city center prime location in the city, hotel located in palazzo and the start of their historic city center
- Rooms are clean, spacious and nice
- Friendly and helpful staff that speak English, staff available 24 hours at the hotel
- Lift/Elevator is available
- Free wifi and cable channels

Cons, but not dealbreakers:
- mattress is a bit hard ( wish hotel added gel mattress forms, easier on the back).
- Breakfast is very basic, but nice that the hotel still offers it to their guests
- Had a back room, and on certain days like holidays/weekends, music and noise can be heard very late at night from the restaurants near by, didn’t bother us much however, some pp might do, so bring your ear plugs if that’s the case.

Overall, it’s a great boutique hotel, but the prime location is a winner.

Sunny Sorrento Stay

Up a side road next to the fauno bar. Lovely bright reception on 1at floor. Barbara was very helpful. There ia a lift for suitcases. They arranged valet parking for us which was great as they would bring your car whenever needed. Really bright and clean b&b. The room was beautiful and very large with a large balcony looking over a side road. Big bed, good aircon and wifi. Lovely big shower and bathroom.safe and mini bar also in room. They offer a good selection breakfst and will aend to your room for a small cover cost. They have a 24 hr reception so available if you needed anything. Fantastic central location with easy access to all the restaurants in Sorrento.

We loved everything about Jannuzzi. From the welcome we received from the front desk attendant to our lovely apartment-like room, to our private deck and charming breakfast terrace…we could not have been happier. The only challenge was finding the entrance to the hotel the first time and maneuvering the parking of the car. It was a small inconvenience compared to the wonderful experience we had here.

I am very conflicted on how to rate the property. The hotel itself is lovely and in a great location. The service leading up to our stay was amazing - booked excursions and transfers for us really promptly. However when we arrived we were given a room where the air conditioning was clearly not working. The first woman told us there was no problem but when we complained again the second woman said they knew there was a problem but couldn’t get a technician. We asked for a new room and were told they could move us for only one night of our three night stay - doesn’t help. It was fixed on the second day and it was fine that night. Lying here in bed on the third night and it’s not working again - no use complaining as nothing can be done. Oh and our room is right beside the breakfast room so quite loud in the morning. As noted I think the property is great, breakfast is awesome, most staff are helpful but service fell a bit short given all the great reviews

I am still incredibly overwhelmed by my recent visit to your hotel . I could not have imagined that my family and I would be met with such courtesy hospitality and kindness. Your attentiveness to me and my family provided us with one of our most memorable vacations and we appreciate you more than I can possibly express. One of your aunts, not only did she go out of her way to make our stay at the family owned hotel one of the best experiences of my life, but she also made restaurant reservations by calling owners of well known establishments to let them know of our arrival. Your aunt at the front desk, went above and beyond anything we could have even thought of asking for. She is just amazing .

Palazzo Januzzi is an immaculate property and we had a wonderful stay. The location is safe and convenient if you are travelling with kids or teens. The breakfast was excellent. My only complaint is the noise from the piazza on Saturday night, which kept us up all night. Despite the noise, I will definitely return to this property and recommend it to others.

Great location on the main square, right in the middle of the action. No onsight parking, but they use a service to pick up and deliver your car whenever you want. Cool restaurant below the hotel. Open air, but covered from the elements. We had an after dinner drink every night before going up to the room. We had a few travel hickups while there. Fabulous hotel in the center of Sorrento

The Jannuzzi family have put their heart and soul into this hotel and it shows. Each room is uniquely decorated and spacious. Our room overlooked the Piazza Tusso which was a joy to watch with the crazy Italian traffic but when you closed the door to the balcony, you didn't hear a thing. The staff, the breakfast, the rooms, the decor and the location are the best. If you're ever in Sorrento defiantly stay here.

Palazzo Jannuzzi is located in centre plaza of Sorrento. It has a spectacular view and position. The property is very well maintained and very clean. Rooms are very spacious as well as the bathrooms and hallways. It has also elevator access. They offer a fantastic breakfast, in rustic style and almost everything is homemade.

Hotel januzzi stay in sorrento

Palazzo januzzi is amazing !! So much that we are going back again before we return to the states . The history and friendliness is above and beyond ! We were upgraded and it was fabolous . Breakfast amazing . This hotel is a winner . Can’t wait for a third visit

Great experience. Booked last minute, literally 7 mins before arriving. They upgraded our two rooms to have us all stay together in what amounted to be be an apartment. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Entrance is a little tricky to find at first. Location is perfect.

Incredible!

Amazing experience! I had to book a room last minute—around 10:30pm. We got to the hotel around 11pm and were greeted with a room ready for us. The older gentleman that greeted us was kind and gave us over-the-top service! The breakfast was impeccable and delicious, staff was friendly and accommodating, and room was comfortable (and beautiful). Highly recommend!

Made a last minute reservation. Got the large room with balcony facing Piazza Tusso. Very nice location. The Room was clean and comfortable. Although the hotel was on the busy Piazza but the window kept noises out well.
Ariane was very helpful with setting up day trip to Capri and Amalfi coast. It was the truly last minute arrangement.
Love the breakfast. It was tasty and beautifully set.
We walked everywhere because the location was right in the middle of the Sorrento town.
We would come back and stay here again.

Great location, excellent staff and the owner is always there and pays attention to the details. It is very central and within walking distance to all the shops and beach/port. Sorento is beautiful and this hotel did not disappoint with it’s spacious rooms with comfortable beds at an affordable price. We would definitely stay here again.

This property is in the center of Sorrento, step out your door for dining, shopping, the beach, boating and all the good things that the town has to offer. The rooms are fairly quiet as they are insulated from the sound. There are nice terraces to enjoy the outdoors, the breakfast is very nice with a wide selection of fruits and pastries, egg creations and enough other options to suit most people.the service from all the staff is very friendly and helpful. We were assisted expertly with tour and travel suggestions, they made arrangements for excellent guided tours and boating experiences. We were very comfortable and glad we chose the hotel and would definitely come again.

The property was clean and the location was excellent. The room size was great, and the decor was modern and fresh. The breakfast was brilliant. The reception staff were fine, the breakfast and cleaning staff were friendly.

The only downside was that there was a nightclub nearby that played loud music but that is beyond the hotel’s control.
