Exceptional Stay – Perfect in Every Way

Our stay at this hotel was outstanding from start to finish. Everything exceeded our expectations — from the welcome at check-in to the attention to detail throughout our visit.
The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to suit every taste. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The amenities — from the lounge to the rooftop pool with the view— were all top-notch and well maintained.
The location couldn’t have been better, close to everything yet quiet. The beds were the most comfortable we had during our travels.
Overall, this hotel offers exceptional quality and service. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Location, location, location! Sooo walkable to the Piazza Tasso & Corso Italia. Loved the open front sitting area of the hotel to rest, relax, enjoy time with family, or people watching while enjoying a refreshing Limoncello Spritz.
The staff were all very friendly and the rooms were comfortable & spacious. Will stay here definitely again on our next trip!

We absolutely loved this hotel in Sorrento. The location is excellent - steps to Piazza Tasso. The room felt very Amalfi/Sorrento feel with accents of yellow tile for that lemon vibe. The skybar served an excellent lemon shrimp risotto, and their basil smash drinks were so refreshing on those hot summer days. We loved the infinity style pool - it’s not massive, but perfect to cool off, admire the view, and give you the ultimate feeling of relaxation. The staff was super professional and hospitable - from the front desk to the cleaning crew, to maintenance, and pool/skybar staff, everyone was very polite and pleased to provide their assistance. Cinzia at the front desk was lovely and super thoughtful in the way she supported her team members and walked us through different tour options. She made us feel like she was genuinely interested in hearing about our day when we would turn in for the night or see her the next morning.
One small consideration that may be a negative for guests with a vehicle, the hotel doesn’t have parking on site. They instead offer a valet parking service for €25 per night. Should you need to access your vehicle, you will need to provide 30 mins notice or, if you’re not in a time crunch, will need to wait about 30 mins before they bring you your car. This was only applicable for our check-out day but since we were not in a rush to leave we were happy to wait and enjoy a coffee from the downstairs bar. Overall, would recommend and would stay again.

Hotel Plaza was an amazing experience. Literally 200 metres on flat from Piazza Tasso. Sky bar & pool were a fantastic surprise! Rooms were cleaned twice a day - one big clean and one refresh of swim towels. Breakfast was more than substantial; everything from bacon to fresh fruit to salmon to bread. Cannot rate hotel and staff highly enough.

Super clean room, comfy bed, great Air Conditioning! The included breakfast was delicious and had plenty of options. Location was perfect, just steps from the main square, shopping and restaurants. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful. They even arranged (on less that a days notice!) for a tour of Pompeii that picked us up directly in front of the hotel. They also arranged for a driver take us to and from the airport and the service they used was wondeful. My only complaint would be that I would have liked an extra outlet in the bathroom for my flat iron. I would absolutely stay here again!

We had a pleasant stay at The Plaza Hotel. The location is fantastic, and the rooftop amenities really stood out. The sky bar offered stunning views of Sorrento, and we were especially impressed by the service; Christiano and Marco were both friendly and attentive, making our evenings up there even more enjoyable.

The rooftop pool was a great way to cool off during the hot afternoons and had a nice relaxing atmosphere.

Our only real complaint was the size of the room as it was quite small considering the price point. Still, the overall experience was positive, especially thanks to the excellent staff and beautiful rooftop features.

Would recommend, especially for couples or solo traveler’s.

Lovely hotel, v friendly staff, lovely bathroom & comfy beds, nice breakfasts, great location with minimal walk to central area of Sorrento. Horizon pool on roof was v cool with great views!
Struggled to find it by car initially as roads bit confusing around there. Also parking wasn't included (which wasn't stated) so had to pay extra for valet service offsite.
Electrics kept shorting out in our room and alternative room was offered instead.

The farthest walk is to the marina and seafood district, but not a problem for us. Very near shopping and old town. Lots of food in both directions. Wonderful staff and good breakfast. Not the best view in the city but the price was worth the value. Lots to do around the city and nearby region. Enjoyed a two day stay very much.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and its staff. It started when we were greeted with an upgrade to our room and the staff making sure we had a good experience with the driver they arranged from the airport. Then the wonderful gentleman who was our host for breakfast who always had a smile and kind words. BTW - breakfast was awesome! Then the culmination was the help we received when I left my phone at a cafe in Capri and the staff was kind enough to help me track down and recover it!
The location of the hotel itself is perfect for getting to the local restaurants and the ferries to the islands.
Look no further - this is your hotel! Thank you to the staff for making our vacation such a wonderful experience!!

Breakfast had a lot but could have had different options on the days. Had to ask for extra towels daily (towels for 2 when we were a party of 3). Overall would stay again - room was spacious for 3.

We had a good stay. The hotel is very close to all attractions and train station. The only drawback is that the room we had is very small, the bed is comfortable but almost no room to move around. Bathroom is also small. Breakfast is very nice. We also stayed at a hotel (Palazzo Jannuzzi Relais)next door and felt it’s much better.

Expedia and the property boast of a beautiful roof terrace from which you can see the sea, no such thing. It's under construction. Also, I thought I ordered a room with two twin beds, and it turned out to be a double in a small room that looked like a prison cell. The hotel manager worked it out and put us in a comfort room with two twin beds. ALWAYS request a comfort or deluxe room or you may be in for a rude awakening.
On a more positive note, the breakfast was the best and the location couldn't be better. Very close to the train station and the main part of the town. Perfect location!!

We stayed at the Plaza for 2 nights (although I wish we could have stayed longer!). It was a beautiful hotel, very centrally located, quite perfect actually, but not in the heart of the small center streets where it can get noisy. The rooftop bar was amazing and we spent each night there, before and after dinner - the views!! The breakfast was very good, items changed each day, and all fresh. Staff was friendly and we were able to check in early when we came to just drop our bags off since we got into town early. 10/10 would recommend

The hotel is in the best location of Sorrento! The staff were not at all personable or friendly. They didn’t recognize the individual value each guest brings in their stay. The breakfast we “meh”, either instant foods or undercooked. Pool was great. Staff on patio bar weren’t interested in service, waited for the guests to approach the bar for beverages or food.

Overall Hotel Plaza met expectations. I think it’s more charming than the pictures. A rooftop bar/restaurant and pool area that, while smaller, was a welcome option in the July heat. The views and breeze were lovely. The lobby and front-of-hotel seating areas for drinks and snacks were very cute and clean. The rooms were on the smaller side but they provided what we needed for our 2 day stay and the location was excellent.

I travelled to Sorrento with my two teenagers. We were looking for a place that would be a good jumping point to the Amalfi coast, Capri as well as a nice place to relax in the afternoon. This was our favourite hotel out of the entire 16 day trip. It’s a bit of a hike to get to any hotel from the ferry, but once you are there, you realize it is centrally located, the staff is professional and wonderful. The facilities are exceptional With large, clean rooms, bathrooms, slippers, extremely comfortable beds, balcony, a rooftop pool, a rooftop terrace with an option for drinks, a restaurant downstairs in the main lobby, and a full breakfast in the morning that was the best breakfast we had out of the seven different hotels we stayed at.
We enjoyed being able to spend the day in Capri or Amalfi and then come back to the hotel and sit by the pool, go for an evening meal at one of the many restaurants in Sorrento, and then walk the little streets and do some touristy shopping.
This hotel had everything you needed and more , and the service was outstanding. I have already recommended it to two friends who are going to Sorrento in September.

The Plaza in Sorrento was a leap of faith as we have never stayed in Sorrento before, so we weren’t sure where to book. This was hands down the best hotel, staff and facilities we have encountered. What a pleasure from check-in to departure. They made a birthday cake on special request from my husband, which was delicious and beautiful. They accommodated a slightly later check-out for one of our rooms. We booked 2 twin bed rooms as we needed bigger than a double bed. Rooms were together, quiet, such comfortable beds. The bathrooms were great with excellent water pressure and perfect temp adjustment. Everything worked great in our rooms (a/c), lights, etc. There was a cute small balcony. No view but we were there for 2 days and wanted quiet more than anything, so we did not care about our view. The breakfast offered was delicious. Keep in mind that food is cooked differently than in the U.S. Eggs, while cooked, have more moisture than Americans like and bacon is not cooked as well as most of us like. But they had a healthy juicing station with fruits and veggies, donuts, cereals, whole fruit, pastries, yogurt, muffins, pancakes, , hard boiled eggs, meats, cheeses, bread, coffees, juices. It was a huge spread and all tasty. The rooftop bar and pool are exquisite. Excellent views and fabulous service. Prices were quite reasonable as well. Be sure to go up at dusk and night to see the only town lights. We even were treated to fireworks! We will always stay at the Plaza!

Luxurious getaway in Central Sorrento

Wonderful clean place with friendly, helpful English speaking staff. Bathroom was spacious. Luxurious amenities (robes and slippers, toiletries). Excellent location. Only negatives were USB ports (2) in the room weren't working. When traveling I always bring an adapter that has built in USB ports since, in my experience, most hotel rooms only have one port or none that work. Also, Hotels.com website says the hotel has a business center and computer access; it doesn't.
Buffet breakfast was superb: everything from eggs w breakfast meats, smoothies, cold cuts, breads, fruits, juices, jams, buns, desserts and more. Coffees incl capuccino, coffee americano (and decaf).
A/C worked great and easy to control. Two capacious (for Europe) elevators.

Lovely hotel right in the centre of Sorrento. We had a room at the back of the hotel on the first floor so it was a little dark and hadn’t got the greatest view but was nice and quiet. Rooftop bar and pool were great with fantastic views. All the staff were so friendly. We were spoilt for choice at breakfast and my husband also enjoyed a couple of sessions in the gym. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a very nice stay at the hotel. My son really enjoyed the rooftop pool. It isn’t huge, but we happened to be there when it wasn’t busy, so he had plenty of room to enjoy the pool. The view from the roof was fabulous. It is a short walk to the train station. There is plenty to walk to-shops, gelato, and restaurants.

This was our second stay at The Plaza. The hotel's public areas are comfortable, clean and very nice. Breakfast was tasty and fresh with excellent service from the staff. To make your stay the best it can be ask for a room with a balcony. We had one on our first visit and it does add an extra amenity. We didnt have one for our second visit and our stay was poorer for that.

We stayed in April and the pool area was open but the pool itself was freezing and unusable. That said the roof top pool area and sky bar with its stunning view across to Vesuvius is undeniably a huge plus for this hotel.

The location is less than a minute's walk from the central piazza so a brilliant location.

All in all fabulous and well worth choosing for your stay in Sorrento.

LOVED everything about this hotel - the Staff, the breakfast in the morning had great selections, the whole hotel is modern and updated, the location is perfect and walking distance to the train and bus station, the room was clean & comfortable. I would definitely stay here again during my next visit to Sorrento.

This is a perfect hotel to stay in Sorrento. The location cannot be better. 100yards to the main square. Everything about the hotel is perfect. The only negative is if you want an omelette / poach eggs or a fried egg they charge you extra on top of your breakfast .

AGem in the Center of Sorrento

What a find ! Intimate hotel with Lobby Bar -ask for Carlo the man knows his bitters! Reception team too servixe , breakfasts with huge assortment and free flowing Prosecco . The rooms were spacious and immaculate . I was so pleasantly surprised, Will 100% return on our next trip to Sorrento .
