This is a great place to visit and stay; the hotel staff is amazingly wonderful and kind; super helpful with any questions that I had and very responsive; the location is great- it is on a street that is basically closed off to pedestrians only although you will see e-bikes & every once in a while, a scooter passed by; oodles of shops and restaurants right outside your door up and down the main street; side streets, also filled with restaurants and shops and beautiful historic churches and buildings; great place to base and see the rest of the Amalfi coast. The morning breakfast is a basic European continental. But there are lots of cafés nearby although mostly for breakfast it’s continental pastries and cappuccino / coffee. nearby restaurants also do the usual bacon and eggs, pancakes, etc.. it is very safe here although anytime we travel we of course stay aware of our surroundings, but I never felt unsafe exactly the opposite actually. Pack light as no elevator / lift as with many of these older buildings; we came in September/October and the weather was fabulous. Crowds are reasonably tolerable :) most merchants spoke English in the stores and restaurants.

This is a wonderful location situated on the Main Street (walking street - no cars) a little street noise for happy folks outside but not enough to keep awake over ; comfy beds and spacious bathroom; fabulous staff ! Can’t say enough about the location and comfort; breakfast is typical continental light breakfast; because it’s a pedestrian street only, you need to drag luggage down the street maybe 1/8 of a mile if that; highly recommend this location

The location is perfect, right in the heart of Sorrento and within easy walking distance to all the restaurants, shops, and main attractions. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and very well kept. We had a fantastic 5 night stay at Residenza Il Campanile and highly recommend it. The hotel is located on a street with lots of stores, eateries, coffee and gelato shops. We loved the location and walked everywhere. It is very close to everything - Piazza Tasso, the train station, bus stations (to the Almafi Coast), souvenir shops, etc. Virna and Antonella were so lovely and helpful and made our stay very special. Breakfast was great as well. Will definitely stay there again.

Lots to like and I would happily recommend anyone to stay here. Be aware that there is no lift and stairs are quite steep. Staff are excellent but are not on site 24/7 however are easily contactable via WhatsApp and are extremely helpful.

What a lovely experience in Sorrento. This property is located right next to the church bells in the Main Street city center. Staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We missed our connecting flight and they were very helpful in guiding us to the property and assured us that everything was ok. Our room faced the main shopping area which was very convenient. We loved the sound of the church bells it made us feel energized and ready to start the day.

Four night stay in October. Property is in the heart of city center on the main road through Sorrento. Sits next door to the Campanile. Can get a little noisy at night if you are a light sleeper or like to turn in early. Ringing bells in the morning as well which I enjoyed. Shopping and dining options abound in close proximity. Motor vehicles are not allowed on the street at least after a certain time perhaps 11:00am. You must walk about 150 meters or so to meet your ride or taxi. The staff is very courteous and helpful however the front desk is not staffed at all hours. A staff person is however available by phone. There is no elevator so depending on your room at least some stairs will need to be navigated. All in all a very nice experience and if you enjoy being in the heart of the action give them a try.

The Residenza il Campanile was more than what I was expecting. The hotel is in a very convenient spot. Walking distance to both the train station and the port. The hotel is in the heart of Sorrento. It’s on the main road where all the bigger stores are located. It has easy access to all things. Sorrento the main road could get loud at night. But it wasn’t too bad from my room. The staff was excellent. They’re very accommodating and quite helpful I would highly recommend staying here.

My husband and I had a great stay here! The staff we met were all friendly and helpful, always ready with a restaurant recommendation or another cappuccino at breakfast. We loved the location (it is as noisy as they say, but this didn't bother us) and made the most of our stay by walking through as many of the streets as we could! Parking was a bit tricky for us, after driving around a while we parked in a lot up the hill which worked out. We would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves returning to Sorrento.

The location was ideal. We felt part of the Centre of Sorrento. Our rooms were very clean and modern. Loredana was very accomading, friendly and service oriented. Breakfast was very punctual filling and just right especially with cappuccino and expresso made fresh at the rooftop with a view. Stairs are a bit of a challenge for older less mobile individuals. Church is next door however the bells did not bother us. Lovely place and best location right in the middle of all the action, music, shopping, dining, ambiance. The Ferry to Capri was only a 10 min. Walk which was very convenient and saved us money, no taxi needed. Finally, Loredana even helped my parents with their luggage and brought us to the taxi location about 500 yards away. Thank you! 👌

I will second what a few others have said, Loredana is the reason we are giving this high of a review. She was so sweet and helpful and really made our stay enjoyable. The room in itself was great and very clean. The reason for our less than excellent review was that our room was loud as we were on the second floor next to the very busy pedestrian street. We were there Friday-Monday, Friday and Saturday nights were almost impossible to sleep even with headphones or earplugs, so just a fair warning to light sleepers. If your stay is not during the weekend or if noise doesn’t bother you then I’d recommend staying here because of the convenient location and because Loredana is so great.

Aside from the terrific location on the pedestrian only street the host Lori was truly exceptional. We corresponded by text and phone prior to our arrival and she made us feel very welcome. She started breakfast earlier twice in order for us to get on a tour for the day and to have an early departure on another day to catch our train.

Amazing location!!! Our hostess/manager (Laura?) went above and beyond to help us navigate Sorrento and the surrounding areas. Room is simple but comfortable, and very clean. We had our white noise app, so the noise from the street did not bother us. The church bells do wake you up, but I think that’s the case in all properties in Sorrento. I believe the first bells rang at 7:30am. Didn’t bother us though; didn’t go there to sleep.

We have had the best experience! Lorrie is an amazing hotel manager. From the moment we placed our booking she was attentive to all our needs. She is the most charismatic, kind and caring person we’ve met. A rare find within hospitality these days. The rooms were comfy, extremely clean and always smelt lovely and fresh. We loved the convenience of being right in the heart of Sorrento. Really useful to be able to pop in and out of the hotel to drop off shopping or cool down from the heat of the day. We had an amazing stay. Room was clean with a gorgeous view. Air conditioning worked well in the late July heat. Loredana was incredible with recommendations and helping with breakfast. Location couldn’t be better - quick walk from the train and right in the heart of Sorrento. We hope to come back!

It was a shame that the property was advertised with breakfast included when we were told at the property that they are not serving breakfast now due to Covid. This should be changed on the Hotels.com booking information as it is currently not mentioned clearly and we made this booking because we thought breakfast would be included.

We had a wonderful stay here. Loredana couldn’t have been more accommodating and always went the extra mile to provide recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. quirky little hotel, in a superb location. Receptionist Loredana is very friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. no other staff, other than the breakfast lady, so we were left to our own devices which was perfect. the room was kept very clean, tea, coffee & water supplies replenished every day. Residenza II Campanile apartment is beautiful and so clean. We loved our stay. Perfect location on the main street of Sorrento, easy access to shopping, restaurants, and the main attractions. Close to the bus station. Loredana was an amazing host! She went out of her way to help give us information, recommend restaurants, etc. I would love to stay here again! Breakfast is included for all guests (there are only a handful of apartments) and food was great although very limited, included cheese, cold cults, croissants and sweets.

Since this was the first time we stayed at this hotel it was not perfectly clear to us that we couldn’t drive our car into the hotel. We were advised to park elsewhere.
