Very nice people working at check in at Hotel Lisboa. The cleaner at Hotel Prado was very pleasant and helpful. Our room was overlooking the street which was bright and quiet. Nice place to stay. Beds were perfect.

Perfect single room booking. I was visiting Madrid for two nights to attend the NFL match in November ‘25 and wanted a budget room close to the centre and metro stations.

Simple no frills room, single bed, TV, toilet and shower. Good location not far from the Sol Metro station. 2nd floor location with key card access. You actually check in a couple of minutes walk away and get given your card, then you’re free to come and go as you please. Through the door from the street and up to the second floor.

The room I had was quiet, no noise from outside as it was away from the street.

Everything worked perfectly, and suited me fine. I just needed somewhere to sleep and wash.

Plenty of bars close by, and food options right near the centre.

Location, location, location!!! This hostel was in the center of the center, within walking distance of all the major attractions and museums. Restaurants and multiple dining options based on budget. Spent weekend in Madrid after traveling from Amsterdam. At midnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night felt like it was middle of the day. Streets were crowded and full of life. You have read that the hostel has no elevator and that the wooden stairs took some getting used to, but location made up for that. Room was comfortable and had basic amenities such as shampoo and soap. Towels and house keeping was done daily even though they said no housekeeping. The rooms were different, but standard, clean and quiet. There is no coffee or tea service in rooms, but cafes all around the area. I only took the metro/subway to and from the airport.

It was a good stay. The place was located very well and close to Plaza del Sol and so much shopping and dining. Check in was easy and they are very proactive giving you instructions to check in. I took a star off because beds weren't too comfortable and we had to go up 3 flights or stairs with luggage. We appreciated they cleaned our room even though it was just a 2 night stay.

The check in was at another hotel, then you had to walk a block and up stairs to the right floor and find your room. (The hotel is only on one floor in an apartment block). This would not be ideal if you have lots of luggage.
When checking in a copy of a map and/or written address to look on google maps would have been helpful. The people at the desk were helpful and got me to the right place, but did not speak much English to explain directions.

The room was small, but had everything I needed, including Wi-fi.

Great place to stay for a visit to the city. Location is really central and plenty of bars, restaurants and shop next door. The room was a decent size and the bathroom and shower were fine. Fresh towels provided and room really clean. I had a room overlooking a courtyard which was really quiet, slept fine. Check in is at another hotel a couple of blocks away and the staircase up to the hostel is fine for anyone in normal shape with a suitcase, no real problem with that. If the room had a fridge it would have been perfect. Really enjoyed it.

Well, it was not good value for money. Up two flights of stairs on wooden steps that were uneven. There was no elevator. There was no hair drier.The room was tiny and the bathroom tinier. The water in the shower was good and hot and powerful. The towels were worn out. Two outstandingly good points: 1. The lady who checked us in was super friendly, efficient, funny and helpful! 2. The location. This is a super fun part of Madrid, surrounded by all kinds of restaurants and not far away from major attractions, like the Prado and La Plaza Mayor.

The property was great and clean! Better than I thought it was going to be. The room was reasonably sized and cleaned every day. It was also quiet and there was no external noise bothering my sleep/stay! However, hotel neighbours can be heard if loud (though mine weren’t bad). My entry card didn’t work at one point but the receptionist fixed it within 2 minutes which is great. The area is convenient to access the rest of the centre and royal palace and other touristy sites. The one reservation some may have about the area is there are a lot of bars / night clubs / ‘xxx girls’ facilities.. but really those are only active very late and don’t bother you. I’d definitely stay here again.

The hostal was good and the location convenient, its walking distance to everything, we went walking everywhere, it was great!!!
The room was good but a bit small, we were a family of 3, two adults and a 7yr old and it was a bit difficult since the bathroom was also small and no space to put your things on, other than that it was a great stay!

Really nice staff, very convenient location and enough room size. Be aware there is no elevator in case you are bringing heavy luggage. As recommendation, the bathroom size could be improved, the one in the room is a glass door which was not totally closing the bathroom.

The property is in a great location and the staff was incredibly helpful. There was a boiler problem and we had no hot water the first day, but the staff was responsive and offered to move us to a new location for free. Luckily the problem was resolved relatively quickly. It’s a very small room, only good for sleeping not hanging out in. The door to the bathroom is translucent and there are large gaps all around the outside of it. Very little privacy there, so go with someone you’re comfortable with!

El hostal está bien, las habitaciones son bastante nuevas y están en buenas condiciones. Nuestra habitación era super compacta, no hay frigobar ni comodidades más allá de las camas y el baño, un pequeño escritorio y un \"armario\" .
Las escaleras son un desastre, están muy gastadas (no hay un escalón igual al otro), y no hay ascensor.
La zona es super céntrica, lo que implica que a la noche puede ser un poco ruidosa por estar en zona de bares, restaurantes y pubs.

It was a horrible experience. No elevator and the stairs are horrible for climbing down and up. No blanket supplied and we had to walk to the reception at night to the other hotel to pick up just one for three beds booking. Staff don't understand English when we were trying to complain.

I arrived in the morning, got a message to register at Histal Lisboa when got to the hostal I was toll to walk to Hostal Prado no writing dirección just walk 3 blocks to you right, when I got there was not elevator the room was in the 3er Floor,not elevator have to go back to Hostal Lisboa and try to get a room in that hostal they toll me was the same owner, the room was ok , Byt they were not that friendly, The room didn’t have any refrigerator so I have to request to have my insulin in there refrigerator. They don’t say they lives at 10:30 , pm when I went to the from desk looking for the insulin they were gone I have to call and explay my situation, so they send an employee from another hostal to give me the insulin, they were not friendly at all, when I was leaving ask if they can call a taxi no you have to go to the corner, when we arrived We have to wal with the laugage 3 blocks, I won’t recommend this Hostal to nobody

Lovely Hostal - Great location but..........

I'd briefly read the reviews about this hostal and it seemed perfect for a couple of days in Madrid. The Hostal was lovely, modern and clean and in a great central location. The only thing that spoiled it was the confusion with checking in. When we arrived there was a buzzer and the person who answered could barely speak a word of English. We rang the Hostal number and we were equally confused by their response. It turned out we had to check in via another Hostel around the corner and pick up our keys there! They really need to make this clear in the booking details. That aside we were really happy with our room and location. There are loads of lovely Tavana's nearby and the main sites are within easy walking distance. Definately reccomend it!

O que gostei: O hostal liberou a entrada no apartamento 2 horas antes do horário previsto para o check-in. O ar-condicionado funcionou muito bem. O box do chuveiro é de bom tamanho. Há mesinha de cabeceira e tomada para celular em ambos os lados da cama de casal. A iluminação do apartamento é boa. O sistema de entrada no prédio do hostal é no apartamento é feito por cartão magnético, o que facilita bastante o acesso.

O que não gostei: O atendimento na recepção foi meio rude e antipático. O check-in é feito em local diferente de onde se localiza o hostal, impondo outro deslocamento com malas. O acesso aos apartamentos do hostal é feito por vários lances de escada, o que dificulta a subida com as malas. A temperatura da água do chuveiro demora a ser estabelecida, o que dificulta o banho, ora está quente demais, ora está fria demais. O quarto é pequeno demais e o banheiro é minúsculo. O colchão é muito desconfortável. Não há suporte para as malas. Vazou água do box do chuveiro para o piso do banheiro. Faltou um piso de pano para colocar no chão do banheiro. Os cobertores são antiquados. O telefone para contato com a recepção não funciona. A internet é muito ruim, o sinal cai com frequência. O quarto é barulhento, devido aos bares que ficam nas proximidades.

Hostal muy bien situado a menos de 5 minutos de la puerta del Sol, en pleno centro rodeado de bares súper chulos y castizos. No se oía ni un solo ruido por la noche pese a estar en una zona bulliciosa. Lo único malo es que llegamos tarde y tienes que hacer checkin en otro hostal porque no tiene recepción propia.

O Hostal Prado é ótimo! Localização excelente, perto de tudo, no Barrio das Letras, adorei! Apesar de não ter Portaria no local, isso não foi um problema, recebemos a chave e foi super tranquilo. Não tem elevador, o que também não foi um problema porque fiquei no segundo andar e as escadas são boas. O quarto é amplo, banheiro bom, limpo.. Super recomendo!

Horrible experience

You have to check in at another Hostal named Hostal Lisbra first and walk 5 mins with luggage to this Hostal. Also Prado Hostal have no elevator so you have to lift your luggage to 2nd floor. There’s a phone in the room but when you call for service like hairdryer, you ask you to come to Lisbra to get it when your hair all wet.

El check in se hace en un hostal cercano que es el Hostal Lisboa donde hay una pequeña recepción, al llegar nos atendieron muy bien y rápido, y nos comunicaron que la habitación nos la iban a dar en el Hostal Lisboa no en el Prado, así que la opinión que doy es del Lisboa, no del Prado. En general el hostal Lisboa está bien, muy limpio, habitación remodelada, cumple su función que es llegar a dormir. Buena ubicacion Muchos de los principales atractivos turísticos están a pocos minutos caminando. En general buen lugar para hospedarse a un precio bastante razonable. Gracias por su hospitalidad.

Posizione OTTIMA. Vicino al centro. La zona è piena di locali ma poco rumorosa. Scale consumate ma non pericolose. La camera è un po’ piccola. Se passerete la maggior parte del tempo in giro, non rappresenterà un problema. Doccia spaziosa ma lavandino molto piccolo (forse unica reale pecca ma non un grande handicap). Consigliabile.

El hostal muy bien, es cómodo, tranquilo y la ubicación es lo mejor, en pleno centro. Todo muy cerca. Lo único que no tiene ascensor( pero bueno es un hostal) y que para hacer el check in tiene que ir a otro hostal que está a unas 4 calles. Esto deberían de ponerlo en la página, porque llegas con las maletas y luego tienes que desplazarte. Por lo demás bien.
