I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Room Mate Alicia in Madrid! The location is simply perfect — right in Plaza Santa Ana, surrounded by great restaurants, cafés, and within walking distance of so many major attractions.
The hotel itself is stylish, modern, and incredibly comfortable. My room was spotless, beautifully designed, and very quiet despite the lively area outside. The bed was super comfortable, and I loved the large windows that let in so much natural light.
What truly made the experience exceptional was the staff — friendly, professional, and always ready to help with recommendations or anything I needed. Their hospitality really made me feel welcome.
Breakfast was also fantastic with plenty of fresh and delicious options to start the day right.
Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Madrid. I highly recommend Room Mate Alicia and would definitely come back!

We had a great stay at Room Mate Alicia. The best thing about this hotel is the location. From here you can easily walk to all the major tourist attractions of central Madrid. There is an endless supply of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance.
The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast selection was very good.
I would highly recommend staying here.

We had a great trip and I enjoyed walking the pages of the book I was reading at the time, A Bookseller in Madrid, as everything we needed was within easy walking distance. No steep hills but it is cobblestones so if you aren't sure on your feet or new to Europe you should know that part.

The property was undergoing some work in the lobby. I was shocked when I walked in and feared the worst, but honestly, the staff was wonderfully accommodating, and I didn't find the work disruptive in any way. The staff was vigilant about checking in with me to ensure I was comfortable throughout my stay. I'd definitely visit again. Great property.

The staff member at checkin was so welcoming and provided us with great info, particularly his recommendation of Casa Alberto which was wonderful. It's a great location in terms of walking to places of interest altho there was a fair bit of construction & roadworks going on when we visited & it's quite noisy at night but it's Madrid! Bed & pillows were beautifully comfy and overall design is clean & funky. Some people may find the bathroom challenging as it's not fully seperate within room. We loved it tho. Will visit again.

The lady that cleaned our room I believe her name was Alejandra (she had blond hair) was so kind and left our room so well cleaned that it made me feel just like I was home. We really enjoyed our stay! It was too cold to use the pool on our patio but the space was still nice! Lots of seating throughout the entire unit (including the balcony)! The only issue that we encountered was a strange smell. I noticed it the first night when we went to bed (it was coming from the comforter). I finally decided that it was a dirty dog smell. I have dogs myself so was not too grossed out by it but it did tell me that they need to sanitize the laundry a little better… Staff was pleasant and the breakfast was perfect! We definitely would stay again!

The hotel is just opposite Santa Ana square where there are lots of restaurants but the windows are double glazed and it was very quiet in the room. Yes, the room was modest, i.e., small, but it was perfectly clean and comfortable. More importantly, the hotel location is excellent--right next to a square with cafes, and close to major attractions. We were staying in Madrid just the day we arrived in Spain and were really happy the room was ready early and we were able to check in early. Room Mate hotels usually let you check in early if the room is ready and it is so helpful especially after a long flight. The hotel is in a great spot, close to everything you want to see and do. Short walk everywhere. So many restaurants and bars close by. The room was really clean and comfortable, we have stayed here before and love the location. When we left it was only a 10 minute walk to the train station. Would stay here again when we return to Madrid.

Nice place, good location. Room was very tiny, so tiny I needed to roll on the bed to get to the fridge and closet.
The hotel is very close to the Spanish Theater. Small, one way street leading to it is very clogged with traffic so if you’re taxiing to the hotel, prepare to be stuck.
