I did not know it was a hostel, thought it was a hotel, I was booking quickly after being refused boarding on my flight due to COVID restrictions. I panicked when I saw the hostel, I wanted to leave as soon as I arrived, but it was non-refundable and quite expensive. I only stayed one night so I dealt with it. But... never again

Hotel was on the first floor with good lift. Reception was available 27/7 and very helpful. Room was very clean and spacious, bathroom was excellent. Breakfast was in a private cafe about 100 yards up the road and the buffet provided all the usual continental fare plus bacon, sausage and scrambled egg.

The hostal is convenient for all the sights in Madrid as well as the Atocha station as it is just a 10 minute walk.If you enjoy parks you will be in the Retiro Park in 10 minutes as well.You find loads of restaurants (simple to fancy) in the neighbourhood of the hotel as well as several small supermarkets. The hostal itself is in the first floor of a beautiful townhouse. Most rooms seemed to have been towards the back of the building so that it was quiet, but ours was quite dark.Being there in summer it helped to keep the room cool, so you did not have to use the air con all the time. The breakfast is served around the corner and offered a good choice of pastries bread, meat, cheese,fruit and of course juices, tea and coffee. We would stay there again as it was clean, good value for money and so close to everything.

I had a brief stay as I traveled from Northern Spain (San Sebastian) to Southern Spain (Almeria).
The check-in took a few minutes, as the person is charge was not available, but I was shown to a comfortable sofa where I could wait.

Our main priority was to be in walking distance from everything we wanted to see, and we were exactly that. We never had to take a taxi or public transit anywhere due to the central placing of the hotel. Of course the room isn't anything to put on a postcard, but for the very cheap and reasonable rate, you truly have everything you need as far as amenities, comfort, and privacy. Hotel staff is incredibly helpful and ready to take care of any needs.

Great location, great price, staff was great and someone was there even if you arrive late at night, had air conditioning (it was 40 Celsius so I needed it !) . Since this is a group of hostels, it was a bit of a maze to find your ways around until you got used to the place. But location was great and I was on the backside of the building so it was quiet. Breakfast was at a restaurant a block away but it was very nice. Well worth staying at - I would do it again!

Hostal Cervelo - great experience
This is our 4th stay in Hostal Cervelo - we came years ago as students and returned as a couple. The hotel is clean, comfortable, safe, and the location is fantastic. The staff is friendly and helpful and like the other visits, this was a great experience. The rooms were a bit small, but we stayed in another 4* hotel in Madrid for one night and the size was comparable so it must be standard for the capital.

The walls here are so thin. We could here th e family next store with their child and the party girls on the other side of us. The AC was great but there is no remote. You have to call the lobby and have them turn it on every night. The best part about this place is the wifi. It was awesome. I would look for a better place even if it was more per night.

The Hotel is well located, its clean and nice, but the walls are extremely thin, so you can hear every noise in the room next door or in the hall. You can hear when the neighboor is taking a shower, watching tv or doing \"other things\". If you fall heavily asleep, this hotel is for you, but if you have a light dream and noises wake you up, this hotel is absolutely not for you!!!

Hotel situado en la calle Atocha a escasos minutos andando de la puerta de sol. Sus instalaciones están renovadas y las habitaciones están muy bien aprovechadas a la par que limpias. El cuarto de baño me resultó perfecto destacando la potencia de salida del agua. La habitación contaba con televisión de pantalla plana y un pequeño escritorio. Lo único negativo, es que el personal que está en turno de noche es demasiado ruidoso ya que se ponen a hablar por teléfono y no se dan cuenta de que por la noche se escucha todo.

Das Personal in Reception war sehr nett, freundliche und professionelle. Das Frühstückt war sehr gut, und die Lage super. Die Balkontür ist gut isoliert, und man kann die Gepäck in eine aufgeschlossene Kammer lassen.

Ich habe beim Buchung in der App und nochmal direkt mit dem Hostal telefoniert, um ein Babybett zu bestellen. Trotzdem sind wir angekommen und war kein gestellt, sie haben dann \"schnell\" gemacht.
Unser Zimmer, das 101, hat sehr sehr stark nach Abwasser gestunken. Wir haben es gesagt und trotzdem waren die ersten zwei Nächte ekelhaft. Danach war nicht sooo stark aber immer noch sehr unangenehm.
Am dritten Tag war eine Baby-Krakaulacke in der Dusche, zum Glück die einzige zu sehen. Ich habe Bescheid gegeben und theoretisch war ein Kammerjäger da.
Mein Schlafanzug war auf einmal verschwunden. Ich war wieder in der Reception und sie haben sich gekümmert, trotzdem ist er bis unsere Abreise zwei Tage später nicht erschienen.
So eine gemischte Erfahrung, unsere Reise war toll aber in diesen fünf Tagen haben wir leider viel zu tun mit der Hotel Mitarbeitern und fast alle ein Misserfolg. Ohne Schlafanzug und mit diese Gestank als Souvenir.
