Great location for visiting the major museums and El Rastro, and lots of dining options plus the beautiful parks and botanic garden. Not too far from the train station. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast and nightly turn down service with fresh water and chocolates and on occasion a fruit platter. Also a bottle of cava!! The room and bathroom were beautiful and large. The lobby area was under renovation so there was not really a place to hang out. The temperature in the room could not be adjusted so we were uncomfortable as we were too warm. We were able to open the windows to let in cool air BUT there was a constant loud motor/ generator noise which made it impossible to keep the windows open. So we were not able to sleep or relax very well in our room.

I had an absolutely lovely stay at Cool Rooms Palacio De Atocha. The staff was friendly and wonderful! Diego, Luis, Domingo & Paula were so very helpful! My room was luxurious and I will definitely stay again. They offered many extras and my breakfast was delicious!! Beautiful courtyards, conveniently located it was a wonderful experience!! I felt very pampered and taken care of!!

Junior suite was excellent, spacious, and super quiet at night, despite being on the mezzanine level above the restaurant. Aircon was excellent and silent, just what as needed when it was 20-25 degrees C outside for most of the day. Bed was large and comfortable and bathroom was very good. Our only complaints about the room are very minor, the usb and usb c ports beside both sides of the bed didnt work so we had to unplug the speaker to plug in our own charger (we have extra long cables so this wasnt an issue for us) and the light switches took some getting used to, only one master switch by the door would turn off the lamps in the seating area so we had to use the master switch by the door to turn off everything, use our phone torch to find the next set of switches at night and then turn on the bedroom lamps as the switches by the bed couldnt control the seating area lamps.

Staff were so nice; reception, restaurant and night porter/concierge were all very friendly and helpful.

We had a light dinner one night and the food was excellent and staff super helpful, carefully explaining allergen information when the chefs complimentary dish was delivered.

CoolRooms Palacio de Atocha was an amazing stay. I will be staying there anytime I am in Madrid. The room was amazing, clean, and the staff was beyond helpful. My original flight was canceled after I was already at the airport, and I called the hotel back, and they were able to squeeze me into another room for an extra night! Superb customer service!!!

We had an excellent experience. This is a boutique hotel with very spacious and beautiful rooms! Lovely decoration. What set them apart was the outstanding service. Everyone is very nice, friendly and attentive.

We loved our 4-night stay at this elegant boutique hotel with friendly service. The room as promised was quite large, but what the photos don’t capture is the impressive scale: soaring 12’ ceilings, high end finishes and 9’ doors lend a sense of grandeur. There was a dressing area with two closets, and the big bathroom had an enormous shower with two rainfall shower heads, and separate toilet. The Molton Brown full-sized toiletries were very nice. Food in the restaurant was excellent and we especially appreciated the very helpful and engaging staff. The location was convenient; we only used the Metro once as almost everything was within a 20-minute walk.

From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we were looked after amazingly. Even down to giving us two bottles of water and a snack when we checked out. Our room was beautiful. The bed was huge and so comfortable. Loved the decor.
When we arrived our room wasn’t ready so they looked after our luggage while we went exploring. When we got back they had taken our luggage to the room and even remembered my husbands name.
Attention to detail in absolutely everything.

Coolrooms Atocha was absolutely our highlight of the trip. It was at the center of everything. We walked everywhere with our five year old without an issue. The hotel staff was so friendly. We were able to check in early and they made the whole experience smoothly.

The size of the Junior suite was huge, including the bathroom. We were so surprised that even the sofa bed was made so nice and clean, for our child to sleepnin.

Amenity was on another level: they had blowdryer and hair straightener from GHD, and I loved the scent of their toiletry as well. We are definitely going to return if we are ever visiting Madrid again.

We could not have picked a better hotel. It was centrally located so we could walk to restaurants and theatres. The staff, especially the concierge group, was helpful and responsive. It was clean, and had very large rooms by European standards. The description had said the rooms were soundproof, which I really didn’t believe could be true in a city center hotel. But the rooms were indeed silent! I’d stay there again in a heartbeat, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone who is Madrid bound.

Rooms claim to be soundproofed, but from my suite I could hear chatter and laughter and music from the restaurant, and walking from the floor above. The building was from the late 1800s, but refurbished and beautifully re-done and maintained. The staff were very attentive and nice. The room was extremely spacious and had nice amenities. (stocked mini fridge and very nice sparkling wine and chocolate when we arrived!). The bed was large and very comfortable and clean. The room was off the street, so fairly quiet. We would definitely stay there again, and recommend this place to anyone staying in Madrid.

We stayed here for two nights at the end of a two week vacation in Spain. The property is beautiful and located in a busy and funky area of Madrid. It is within walking distance of bakeries, restaurants, shopping, the Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol and many other attractions. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the Prado museum and Retiro park.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was elegant, spacious and extremely clean. The bathroom is huge and is basically the same size as the room. The amenities in the room are top notch - nespresso pods, tea, filtered water, high quality hair dryer and bath products. The ladies who clean the rooms are friendly and do an excellent job.

The welcome note and turndown service is a nice touch. My only minor concern is that there wasn’t an iron and ironing board in the room. We took public transportation so didn’t have to worry about parking. The area is extremely busy and finding parking and driving in the area would be a challenge for most people unfamiliar with Madrid.

We are happy that we ended our vacation here. It is an elegant and luxurious boutique hotel. We will be back!

We stayed at Cool Rooms Palacio de Atocha for our last three nights before going home after our European vacation. The service was impeccable, food delicious, and location great. We were in a beautiful suite with a comfortable bed and large bathroom. It was palatial!

We stayed in mid-October, so room comfort was difficult to control because the hotel had switched off the air conditioning for the season. With temperatures in the upper 70’s during the day, the only way to cool the room was to open the windows. That worked out because the evenings were so cool.

We would definitely recommend Cool Rooms Palacio de Atocha.

Delightful stay in Madrid! Everything about this property was delightful! From the helpful, friendly, courteous doorman and front desk staff, to the spacious & beautifully decorated room and pool area. Communication prior to arrival & arranging transportation was seamless. We arrived around 9:30 am exhausted from our overnight flight & the staff greeted us by name & said “we’ve been awaiting your arrival!” Easy walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. Everyone was friendly, helpful & spot on for dinner reservations. Would happily stay here again!

Our trip to Madrid was undoubtedly made better by our stay here. Every apsect of the hotel was with excellent service and the room itself was carefully thought about. This was a very nice hotel. All the staff were so nice and helpful. Our room was the biggest room I’ve ever had in Europe and the room had everything you would need during your stay including a flat iron for your hair. They brought us several gifts for the room during our stay. It was very conveniently located to the city center. I definitely loved our stay and would recommend this hotel.

AMAZING! This hotel is gorgeous. We had a junior suite with a patio on the top floor. It had a separate living room and dressing room. The outdoor patio/deck was on the top floor with a great view. A really nice place to escape outside. Everyone at the hotel was kind and helpful. The pool area is beautiful for lounging or having a snack or drink. So thankful we chose this hotel. We didn't want to leave.
