Clean room and the renovated large washroom was nice. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great central location and walkable to many tourist spots. Nice roof top terrace. Unfortunately i did not take advantage of the 8 euro buffet breakfast since I was only there for 1 night. I would stay there again.

We had a very nice stay at Casual Del Teatro Madrid. The staff were polite, friendly, and always helpful, which made us feel welcome from the start. Our room had a large balcony with a great view, and it was a real highlight of the stay — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. The hotel is well located and comfortable, and overall it was a great experience. We would happily stay here again.

Double rooms at the back away from the road are quiet but small! But they are adequate and the bed was very comfortable which is the most important thing. The bathroom was quite spacious although there was no shelf or anywhere to put anything in there. The shower was however great - lovely and hot!

Location was perfect, right in the heart of the city where you can find many dining options, shop and enjoy all the attractions. Room was clean with everything you need, but a bit small for four people. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Elevator was small and slow, but it didn’t affect our experience. Hotel is in a great location and rooms are pretty big for Europe. Bathroom has nice closed shower. Front desk was so nice to us. Only issue was that the shower did not drain properly and toilet seat kept closing on my back. Also no safes in room. But enjoyed the stay and location was awesome. Great value for price!

Fab location affordable clean quirky hotel

Great location, walked everywhere we wanted to go in old city-snd we went everywhere! breakfast included hit the spot, staff very nice, Ammer front desk person very helpful. Room temperature being too hot or too cold was no big deal but thermostat didn’t quite seem to have an in between

Perfect location

Pleasantly surprised, the room was small
And clean with a very comfy bed. friendly staff, good breakfast option at a reasonable price. Best thing is the unbeatable location, also a cafeteria La Rollerie right next door was a hit. Walking distance to La gran via, puerta del sol and el prado. Will come back.

Christmas in Madrid

The location of the hotel is excellent - it's close to a lot of places to shop, eat and entertainment. It's a bit out-dated and needs some updates. The breakfast is not good at all-I think this could be improved. All staff members were very friendly. The sheets were not the cleanest but bearable.

Interesting place…. We were there during warm weather and they don’t allow the thermostat to be set below 24 Celsius which was very warm and stuffy. Opening windows brought in street noise that made sleeping impossible. The elevator and breakfast facilities are too small to accommodate the number of guests. Fun theme in a good location but uncomfortable stay and pricey.

Given this is a two star hotel in the centre of Madrid it was excellent, all rooms are decorated differently based on shows just made it a great place to stay.

Central and Friendly

Hotel is in an excellent location in Sol and the city is extremely walkable from the hotel. We arrived at 2 am and were made to feel welcome straight away. The hotel is clean and friendly. There are some drinks available to buy, as well as a free bottle of water in the room if you need something when you arrive.

There are stairs which are steep but there is a small lift that can fit luggage if needed. The hotel did also have an iron on request and I'm sure would be happy to help with most things.

The front staff was professional and helpful. We were early and she was accommodating in allowing us to keep our luggage there safely until our check in. The property itself is kind of quirky and a bit off/odd. The bed linen and bathrooms were clean. The decor, wall paper, trimming, wall paint was subpar and not well done. The paint on the ceilings was smudged and sloppy. It’s as though someone went into the rooms in a rush to renovate and did not have much experience. Our shower was also weird - it lacked a.

This was our second visit to this hotel, we like being close to main attractions and easy walkable.
Mika in the restaurant remembered us from previous year, she puts a heck of a breakfast buffet and she is very friendly, she gets personality to the hotel. Definitely will here for a short visit.

Wow, so usually when I book a place to say, I tell myself that I can have two of these three criteria - good price, good location, and good comfort (size of room, ac, own bathroom, etc.). Dare I say, this was the real deal and I feel like I got all three!

The room is a very good size, with much needed AC. The location of the place is ridiculously at the center (or extremely close) to almost anything you would want to see as a tourist. All the attractions are super close and probably within 15 min walking, if you didn't want to take some sort of transport. The restaurants and cafes near here are also quite good.

And, obviously, the price is noticeably cheaper than most of the other hotels in the same area! I would definitely stay here again if I return to Madrid.

BEST HOTEL EVER!

Amazing hotel and ALL THE SFAFF working here are absolutely wonderful. The rooms are beautiful & Clean. The buffet blast is AMAZING and the girl in charge is absolutely the sweetest. BEST LOCATION EVER! My daughter and I LOVED this hotel. From 🇨🇴 Colombia & Houston Texas we thank you Gabriela & the girl in the blast buffet you guys were such wonderful people. We are the girls that lost the bag on the taxi the first day or our stay, with passports in it. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HARD WORK

Great staff and location, but thin walls!

It is superbly located and the staff is so sweet and helpful. The hotel has lots of character but the walls were thin and the noise will disturb most people's sleep. I could hear their loud conversation at night and in the morning.

Great hotel concept; terrible bed

Wonderful welcome at check-in, Ammar was very joyful.

The hotel room was clean, well decorated, had a great hot water pressure shower and the toiletries were of a great brand.

However, the bed was very saggy and we were not able to get a restful night's sleep because of it. The only thing letting this hotel down, which of course is the main priority when choosing an accommodation. Luckily we were only staying for one night.

Great location. On our floor, hotel room doors were not soundproofed at all and there were loud noises from the hallways throughout the night. Also, another guest was given access to our room by accident and woke us up in the middle of the night, which was scary for my girlfriend. They apologized but took no other steps to make amends. Overall, I would probably not stay at the same place for the price although it was a decent hotel minus the bad experience and lack of soundproofing.

Absolutely loved the location as it is a safe & walkable area. The popular plazas, plaza del sol is a 2 minute walk. The breakfast was great - from pastries, meats, & cheese as well as assorted drinks. Our balcony had a view of the Christmas tree at plaza del sol & we were able to see the fireworks as well. Overall, staff was great & it was a great stay. Staff spoke English & was very eager & helpful in every way possible.
The only thing I didn't like were the winding stairs; however, that kind of structure is normal in Spain. There was also a lot of noise at night on a Friday night, but that's normal.

This is an older hotel. We like older hotels, so we don't freak out over a little wear on the property. They keep it clean and the staff was very friendly. It's located right in the heart of the Centro district. You can walk out the door and you're near everything. The Plaza del Canalejas is a block away and having tapas at the Taberna Sideria El Fontan Canalejas and watching all the people flowing by is now one of my favorite things to do on the planet.

The hotel roof deck is a pretty cool spot too, as the rooftops in Madrid are their own ecosystem.
