Great budget hotel, close to the beach. The only complaint I have is some cockroaches in the bathroom. I believe they were in the pipes which is a common issue in DR for budget accommodations. If you can get over that, highly recommended.

Enjoyed my time staying at Art Villa Hotel! All staff were very friendly and were able to address any needs/concerns. Only drawbacks were that there are no towels provided and the AC didn’t work too well. Other than that it was a great stay.

We loved our stay here and plan to come back. Great location, quiet area, and easily walkable to beach, restaurants and shops. The place has so much charm and very well maintained. Great friendly staff. Cleanliness was great. Felt very safe here. Reasonable rate per night, made it affordable and comfortable. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at Art villa! The staff was so friendly and helpful. They had filtered water available 24/7, coffee in the morning, and great housekeeping staff that freshened our room halfway through the week. It is a short walk to the beach and near many restaurants. It might not be an all inclusive but a great option if you want to stay somewhere a bit cheaper.

The towel on the bed was dirty. When I asked to change it, they told me they have no more fresh towels. I needed to wait 15 minutes to get fresh towels. That’s not to mention the rude attitude.

The hot water worked one day and didn’t work the next. The door handle was almost broken, I had to lock my room with the locker. Upon checkout, there was no one there to take the keys.

I had a great stay at Art Villa Hotel. The price was very reasonable for the quality and comfort provided. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I accidentally left my laptop charger at the hotel and was about to miss my bus, but the staff went out of their way to make sure I got my charger back on time. I truly appreciated their kindness and quick help. Highly recommended!

The room is what you would expect for a cheaper stay. I wouldn’t say you should expect an American style hotel for this price. You should bring your own shampoo, soap and hairdryer. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Bed is definetly hard and more of a box spring instead of a bed. Hotel is very close to anything you need.

Was told by an individual in the lobby that I had to leave the room key whenever I left the property. Without knowing who he was I said \"you're funny.\" He followed me outside yelling rudely and loudly that I will leave the keys, I said no I'm not. He then said that he was the owner and that I will leave the keys. I said that I didnt care who he was and that I'm not leaving the keys. After some back and forth he said that if I lose the keys I would have to pay $30. I found out later that he was a manager. There is no written policy nor was I verbally informed when checking in that the keys had to be left whenever exiting the property. The room keys are kept hanging on the wall behind the front desk. Most times when walking past the front desk there's no employees in the area, the keys are left unprotected. Anyone can walk in from the street take a key or two or more and enter rooms.
The room had two safes on the floor in the closet, one bolted down and the other not. There was no access to the one that was bolted, but the other was accessible only by key. The key to the safe is on the ring with the key to the room. With access to the room, there is access to the safe or one could just take the safe with them

Stayed 9 night at this lovely hotel. Found the room very spacious and clean overall. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. They were flexible with the method of payment at check in, which I appreciated. If ever you need anything dont hesitate to ask. Hotel is perfect location and walking distance to everything (beach, restaurant, minimarket). The terrace on the rooftop adds its special touch, could sit up there, have a nice drink while watching sunset or the stars. Would definitely go back !

The price was fine so you probably what you pay for. Stayed for 5 nights when I checked in there was no towels in the room, I asked for some the day after check in and got them no problem. Also asked for the key for the safe to keep my passport in and was told it was not possible. The window to the balcony never locked properly so was a bit concerned there was no access to a safe. I felt I had to walk round with my backpack because of this and that was a bit of a pain.

I had a great stay at Art Villa Hostel! The air conditioning was fantastic compared to other places in the island, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Make sure to bring your own amenities like shampoo and shower gel, as they don’t provide those. Pillows not very comfortable but they changed them for us.
The breakfast included was a nice local dish, and they even prepared coffee for us ahead of opening on the day of our excursion.
Additionally, booking trips through the hostel was cheaper than other places. Kudos to Daniel, the owner, for his humor and hospitality and for his team —it truly made our stay memorable.

Perfect for what I needed: private parking, good a/c, towels, bed and it had a safe in the room. Olga at the front desk was very professional and accommodating. I spent one night because I needed a place to sleep and shower for a couple of hours.

Some small supermarkets in the area or same street, an excursion agency in the same street on the way to the beach, many restaurants in the area. Let me start by saying that check in is available 24/7 and both the day manager and the night manager were extremely helpful and went above and beyond. Although the building is not new it’s well appointed, and has a nice feel. Conveniently located a couple blocks from the beach and can be walked in a few minutes, there are places to eat nearby as well as stores to shop within a few minutes walk. Several Dominican food restaurants nearby also got those courageous enough to try out the local food, which I highly recommend. The free breakfast option is worth the price and their coffee is good.

Very friendly staff, delicious breakfast and what’s even better was the location on how close it was to the beach. Looked at all the hotels I could’ve chosen and this was by far the best in the area. Breakfast was always served hot, delicious and fast with a tasty bowl of fresh fruits(if you’re a coffee drinker they have delicious coffee) I will seriously miss Punta Cana and both AM Alex and the PM Alex. If I decide to come back to Punta Cana again I for sure know where I will be staying.

We had to ask for equipment and were given one single hot ring/ hob and a microwave; there were very few if any essential kitchen utensils so we ate out a lot more than we had planned. I would stay again for a couple of nights as it is good value for money but not longer-term if this was to be your main holiday accommodation.

Alex from the team went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, he has great conversations and is always ready to help. I believe however that we should have been able to choose our breakfast preference instead of it being set. Overall I Give it 8/10.

Art Villa is in a great location. The place is very comfy and safe. The location is near the street where traffic is non stop all day and night. However, the hospitality is wonderful. The night gentleman is very nice as well the morning workers. Breakfast is simple but for me very elegant and the presentation is lovely. The AC,WiFi, Water was perfect. One evening the hotel lost water pressure and they responded immediately to the concerns but actually it was no fault of the hotels and rather a city situation. The rooms are cozy and it was a great fit for me and my fiancé who actually leaves in DR and travels from his city to work in Punta Cana. I think what can make this hotel stand out even more would be to add BLACK OUT CURTAINS, RESORT STYLE TOWELS AND HOTEL BEDDING SUCH AS DOWN COMFORT LIGHT AND BETTER PILLOWS. My favorite breakfast was the strawberry yogurt, tuna sandwich (delicious), coffee is amazing! Breakfast comes with your stay. I stayed 5 nights from July 26-July 31, 2022 and look forward to staying aging next month.

I am a Dominican living abroad and went to visit Bavaro last holidays. I found that Art Villa is a charming little hotel were the adventurous traveler can make a pleasant stop. The staff and their breakfast (and other delicious meals) are the most charming part of the experience, but also the spacious rooms and the fresh terrasse with excellent wifi. Plus, it is close to the beach and right in between of the precious Corales and the vibrant Cortecito, with the transportation line passing steps away from the door. Though the hotel isn't new, it's well maintained by a dedicated staff, who has to fight Bavaro's salty water's effect on appliances and surfaces. I really recommend it for a modest and peaceful stay without hesitation, and will be returning to visit myself. Say hi to Joel, the dog outside the door.

If you choose to pay at the property, they don’t accept card. Cash only. They accept Dominican peso or USD. There’s no toiletry, only hand soap. No hot water. But they have a fridge, microwave, 4 glasses and some utensils. But no dish soap. There’s a very small safe here. There’s AC and fan. But the fan only works with the light. The staff are friendly and helpful but they don’t wear masks. The breakfast is not available till 8am.

Excellent staff, but the room and facilities needs some TLC. All the faucets were rusty, and the room was not clean. The AC wall unit was not enough to keep the whole room cool, it barely covers just the bedroom. There was a sign at the door that ask to turn the AC off when you leave the room. The breakfast is whatever they choose to serve you, you are not given options or menu; and some of the dishes were not clean. If you ask me if I will stay again, probably not.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Had a terrible experience the few nights I stayed. Construction was going on both early in the morning and late at night, the employees of the hotel were all very rude and loud in the hallways next to the rooms, and to top it off, the last night of my stay I was locked out of the hotel after going out for drinks. I was given no key to get in the front gate and nobody was working at the front desk. 0/5 stars, spend a little more money and stay somewhere better!

The staff is welcoming and polite. The free WiFi is very good. The room is spacious, has balcony and street view. The bathroom needs improvements as its installations are old. The distance to the beach is around 15 minutes by foot. The breakfast is basic. There is free water available anytime on the corridor. Overall, it offers good value for money.

It was newly made compared to properties we stayed in this area. It’s nice and peaceful. Close to restaurants, grocery stores and beach. Reception greets with great spirit and smile for everyone. This is first place where I didn’t get language barrier. I stayed for 6 nights. Breakfast is basic continental. Even after lockdown you can check with reception late night if they can get groceries or liquor free of cost. Pay by Dop or card machine. It was very easy stay otherwise. Can’t complaint much of cleanliness, sand is everywhere even on our bodies.

From January 5th to 29th, the Terrace restaurant will undergo renovation. The reopening is scheduled for January 30th.
