Worst nights sleep ever!! The beds were the biggest issue and the main reason I would not recommend Wyndham Residences Algarve Carvoeiro. We expected a new 4-star hotel experience, but the bed was unbelievably hard. Genuinely the hardest and most uncomfortable hotel bed we have ever slept on. There was no topper or anything to soften it, and my back still hurts. Our friends had a separate room and had the same experience. None of us slept well.
The room also got extremely hot. The AC shuts off the second you open the door, so it felt like a sauna at times. The chocolates left in the room even melted.
The room design was also very strange. The toilet and shower are essentially in the room, not in a separate enclosed bathroom. There is little privacy, you can hear everything, and if someone turns on the bathroom lights at night, it wakes up anyone sleeping. There are also bright lights near the doors that cannot be turned off, creating unwanted light at night.
Noise was another issue. We could hear people in the hallway and next door. The pool umbrellas also did not tilt, so at times there was no way to adjust the shade.
The property has some nice areas and the breakfast buffet was wonderful, but the beds, heat, layout, lighting, and noise made this feel nowhere near a 4-star stay.
