Great space but Missing the small things.

We spent 5 days here and appreciated the location in the Algarve (easy to go east or west). Staff were pleasant.

What was lacking was some simple things in the kitchen like dish soap, Salt, pepper and olive oil. As a traveller we had to purchase these items and then waste them as we couldn’t use the full amounts. These items were found in smaller places we stayed and we were surprised not to have them.

The space was great and having a washing machine was appreciated.

Overall a great stay but let we couldn’t utilize the kitchen as much as we would have liked.

Nice property for the price point. Big swimming pool which was great fun for the kids. Supermarket, mini grocery just a minute away.
Living room curtains dont block out the sun in the morning which could be an issue for kids/adults who like to sleep in. A/C in the bedroom was a bit erratic, but manageable.

They gave us probably the worst apartment in the place (we've been there many times and we know what apartments are like), it didn't get any sunlight, it didn't have an oven and weak kitchen utensils, there was no hot water one day, we practically had no balcony to use (the sun never shone during the day) among many other things. We spoke to reception as soon as we entered the apartment but were told that since we had already entered it was no longer possible for them to do anything.

The location of yhese apartments are brilliant . Lots of choices of places to eat and drink, the main town is a short walk away. The staff are briliant any issues dealt with immediately they are really helpful. The cleaners are fantastic and work so hard, clean several times and sheets changed always clean towels etc. Definitely coming back here again .

Spacious apartment with heating in main room and bathroom, very useful in February. Everything you might need for a short stay. Quiet and it felt safe to walk around at night. The beach/town shuttle bus is great but doesnt run at weekends. NEarest beach is easily walkable but its more of a walk into town for restaurants /bars etc. I booked the shared airport transfer, this was easy and convenient and much cheaper than individual taxis.

The apartments or duplexes we have had are clean, well serviced and comfortable. The pools are lovely- salt water and clean and well maintained. The staff are helpful and the free minibus service to and from the nearby town is really good. I have visited 4 times now bringing family and friends. We have all enjoyed our stays at Quinta. I highly recommend Quinta for a restful relaxing holiday. The beautiful beach. Supermarket and great restaurants are all within 15-20 mins walk.

Ant Infested Duplex

This duplex was on nice grounds however there was a concrete canopy block right outside our back door which my 4 young children could have hurt themselves on. We were not informed about the pool area or the restaurant being closed. The bathroom was not cleaned properly and had hair on the tiles. The property was absolutely freezing, even with the extra radiator and there was also an ant infestation around the cooker area. We booked for 7 days and left after 2 as we were so unsettled. Not a great start to our holiday. The staff running the complex were lovely however, there needs to be minor changes to the upkeep and overall structure of these apartments.

Took our two grandchildren aged 9 and 10 for five days at half term. Communication was excellent. Plane delayed so only arrived at 23.45.
Excellent two bedroom villa. Huge outdoor area and football pitch at back door and swimming pool across the driveway. Place was quiet so both facilities all our own. They were also very helpful at agreeing a later check out.
10 minute walk to the beach.

We had a lovely stay. Our room was overlooking the pool with a sea view, it was bright and airy and very clean. There were plenty of beds around the pool, the beach is about a 15 minute walk away, but worth the trek as it is a lovely cove. Food choices on site were fairly basic, but nice. There are lots of good restaurants in the area.

This was an ideal spot for family holiday quiet area. Two lovely pool areas food in restaurant was also surprisingly lovely. We also had good fun at the football field onsite.
We had a choice of a lot of places to visit all within a 15 20 min taxi drive.
Three water parks and the zoo marine all on your door step. Albufeira is a 20min drive away and we visited twice on a ten day trip new town is crazy at night but old town is lovely.
Overall it was a perfect location for us with 2 adults and 3 kids.

We had a brilliant stay in a one bed apartment with sea views. The apartment had everything we needed for a week away and was in walking distance of the beach. The beaches near by were beautiful! We walked to the town a couple of times, took about half an hour. We were made to feel very welcome and had an easy check in. The pool looked lovely but was ice cold so we didn’t go in. All in all though, it was a trouble free holiday. Would definitely go back.

Nice resort. Good pools, plenty of sun loungers and space. Apartments spacious although kitchen facilities sparse. Air con welcome. Wifi €1 a day for 5 devices and connection was good. Safe €2 a day and on the small side - couldn't fit my mac book in it. Restaurant very nice and decent value compared to local restaurants. Would prob not visit again as the area was too quiet for me but no fault of the hotel or resort. One lady is reception was miserable and accused us of losing the 2nd apartment keywhich we were never given. Very rude woman who tends to work the pm shift. Everyone else was lovely. If you need anything from reception try to visit in the morning!

Extended family stay with 13 people, 3 x 1 bed and 1 x 2 bed properties.

Very clean living space with lots of room. I'd return to the 2 bed duplex but wouldn't stay in the 1 bed due to the lack of kitchen and cooking facilities - the freezer big enough for a bag of ice and a box of ice creams. Unlike in the 2 bed which had a decent size fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and full oven. Minimal difference in price (£200 mid August) was well worth it. Decent size pools that were clean and in good condition. Only struggled to find sunbeds for our party on one occasion but the supplying of sunbed mattresses and umbrellas from your apartment was a drag by day 7. Ask for a room on the ground floor near the pool - it comes with 2 sunbeds. Upper lever rooms don't seem to have these. Not a massive amount to do nearby but the transfer bus into the nearest town was helpful. Supermarket expensive, our food bill (we ate out for dinner most days) was nearly €350 euros for 10 days. Prob twice what we'd spend at home. Restaurant on site was very good and reasonable compared to others locally with great service. Give it a try. Worth the trip into town for the Ice cream alone 😊

Exellent stay comfy bed and the A/C worked wonders very clean and open planted apartment, the receptionists and cleaners were very polite,friendly and happy to help. The only thing i could say that let it down was not very many TV channels to chose from and my ariel was hanging from the socket from the wall but all in all pleasant stay .

There is few very beautiful beaches in the area worth visiting ( not the nearest one from the Vila ) is the Praya de marinha.

Lovely resort

This is the first time we've been to the Algarve. Others had recommended it. I was very impressed with the resort as a whole. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Nothing was too much effort for them. Our villa in the Quintina Village & the whole resort was beyond expectation. Very clean, comfortable, well equipped & peaceful. I would imagine in season it might be a bit more hectic. We had half board & found the food to be of a high standard with a good varied choice of a 3 course meal in the evenings. It is a bit secluded but they have a courtesy bus to the nearest small beach holiday town. Their own beach is a 20-30 min walk depending on how fast you can walk. Walking back is uphill so took us longer. Walking is not our forte. The beaches are lovely & clean as well with beautiful fine sand. They have numerous restaurants & a supermarket nearby as well so an outdoor laundrette, much to my amusement, although the villa had a washing machine, clothes horse & pegs, iron & ironing board all supplied. All in all we really had a fantastic week there & will be going there again

Went in May 2017. Very good price and resort was very quiet. Good sized villa. Everything was good and much better than I expected for the price. Not much at all in the surrounding area in terms of places to eat or shops etc but all in all very happy with our stay.

The resort is very clean and maids comes everyday, there is only a two ring burner so not really self catering but everything is very clean. You get a patio with sun loungers table and chairs and a parasol. The swimming pool is big and looks very inviting but is freezing we had to request the pumps were turned off so the sun had a chance to take the chill off the water. Staff are very friendly and the manager was very accommodating. The restaurant and bar on site were excellent quality and value for money. The grounds are beautiful and well looked after. You do need to take a pool/beach towel as the ones in the room are not big enough. So lovely and quiet there. Great for a peaceful getaway.

Doesnt serve food until 12 noon. No where near round about to get breakfast. Lovely and quiet, quite secluded. Not much to do in the resort but only 5 min in taxi into town for night time. Supermarket 10 min walk away. Sheets on sofa bed not changed for the whole week. Nice hotel and food is lovely but they should serve a cooked breakfast.

Cannot be classed as 'self-catering'

We have stayed here a couple of times and this time expected it to be improved. No such luck. The feeble excuse for a kitchen has only an old clapped out 2 ring hob. There are saucepans and frying pans but no fish slice. Bearing in mind there is no oven or grill and frying is the only method of cooking, a fish slice would seem essential. There are also no scissors. The sofa (also a bed) is as hard as a rock and the tv channels have two english (bbc 1 & 2) and world news. What a bore!

Cleanliness is not wonderful. The bathroom is sluiced round but a few crumbs left on the kitchen surface were still there in the evening when we returned. The kitchen surfaces are stained and burned with no attempt to get them clean at all. All the window cills and the terrace are very dirty. Sun lounger cushions clapped out and dirty. There is no teapot but a coffee machine is provided - strange,. Had we not got this place very cheaply we would have been extremely unchuffed. The gardens are lovely and the place could be so much better. A real shame as we do like the position of the resort.

A very nice apartment complex with good facilities, maybe not to everyone's taste but for a relaxing break not wanting to do a lot, it was spot on, there are some excellent restaurants near by (within 1 KM) and some beaches within 700 metres. The lord's bar a bar with live music every night was a great place with friendly staff, just right to relax the evening/night away. It was probably just before the start of the summer season, so it was quite, but there is a lot of things to do with Dolphin sighting tours and lots of caves and beaches to see on the tour. Overall it was a excellent place for a relaxing break.

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment for a long weekend in October. It was a good choice, having never been to Portugal before. Easy to find, just look for the supermarket and turn right (good place to stock up on food for the stay). The reception for the two-bed apartments was closed but we were directed to the main reception which was open. There is a little café there too, and an outdoor pool for both sections. It is set in spacious grounds with plenty of open space and leisure areas. The apartments are very nice, modern and spacious, well equipped and clean. It is in a good location, close to the sea and beaches, the nearby town of Armaco de Pera and the main N125 road and A22 motorway. There is plenty to see and do nearby, but a car is useful to get around. We hired a car at the airport. Restaurants and supermarket within walking distance. However, the TV remote control didn't work, neither did the replacement one they gave us. There is no washing up liquid or cloth and only one small bar of soap is provided. Hooks on the back of the bathroom and bedroom doors would be useful and a chair in the bedroom. No room service on Sundays. No free Wi-Fi in apartments, only in reception.

Good value and clean apartments with good sized rooms and pleasant garden and pool areas. There is a regular daytime mini-bus service into town but evening visits will cost about 6 euros each way. There is a large supermarket nearby with laundrette machines and good Italian and Indian restaurants are nearby.
Negatives: linen is only changed once a week and the car park at the rear of the property is used as a meeting point for noisy locals often from midnight to 4 am.

A very successful affordable late booking - good location for beaches & bars /restaurants if you are prepared to walk about 15 minutes each way. Very warm sunny weather also helped! Basics for self catering available but large supermarket nearby. Free minibus to main town was convenient but pleasant walk is an option but takes about 40 minutes. Transfer from Faro airport takes about 80 minutes.

Lovely place good accommodation staff lovely and helpful. However we did not want to hire a car and were kind of stuck if we didn't go on any expeditions. 15 minute walk to nearest supermarket for provisions. Hotel shop not really a shop only sells water icecreams and bread some alcohol and drinks and pastries. More of a cafe. That's all the shop had. Not much entertainment. I think perhaps we went out of season in middle of September. Once we'd been out for meal not anything to do. But if it's peace and quiet you want them perfect. Be prepared or a lot of hilly walking to beach and couple restaurants. Hotel minibus was good for popping into little town and another beach but couldn't use in eve as service stopped. Also they advertised pool bar and it was shut whole week.

Fantastic hotel and beautiful rooms

It was a lovely room that was far beyond our expectations. For a very reasonable price we had a large lounge with a kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom. The walk to the beach was only short. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and although service was very slow the food was great. There was a great bar near the beach 'Lords Bar' and another restaurant over looking the beach which was lovely. I recommend a trip into town using the free shuttle!

Far from Armacao de Pera beach. In a small village Alporchinios. Not many options for eating out. Local beach is small but very beautiful. 10 min walk. They advertise Wi-Fi but its only free at the reception not in the room. Staff is friendly.

The area around the site is largely populated by villas and similar accommodation to ours. Nice restaurants, great local beach. All in all, we enjoyed it again.

Perfect place for a complete chill out

We stayed for a week in June for a last-minute trip away with our 15-month old. The pictures do not do the place justice, it is much nicer in reality. Easy check-in, very pleased with the apartment (which is one bed, not two as the website says, however couch in lounge becomes another bed if needed). Our toddler son slept in our room in a travel cot which was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. Gardens and pool are very clean and well maintained.
The restaurant and bar was closed as we were too early in the season but that didn't bother us - we either cooked in or ate out at local restaurants. There is a cafe on site which sells burgers, pizzas etc (good pizzas) and bottles of water and fresh bread every morning, but for anything more the local supermarket has everything.
We had a great stay and have already recommended to friends with babies who want a complete get away and relaxing chill out. SIte is quiet and relaxed - no entertainment, which is how we like it!

Nice, clean apartments and the staff are friendly.

We wanted to go to the Algarve but it be quiet. The place is lovely and total value for money. Supermarket is about 10 mins walk. Only thing I would say, is you would definitely need to hire a car, to get to anything of interest. Albafuera is about 25 euros away in a taxi. Could do with some entertainment on site but apart from that, it's a lovely place.

Peaceful holiday location

Fifth time there, and would go back again. Quiet location, nice apartments, lovely gardens, staff friendly. There is a courtesy bus to the town and beach, but a hire car would be essential if you want to sightsee. Nice to have BBC1 and BBC2 on TV. Large supermarket 15 minute walk away.

Brilliant apartment

Had a brilliant holiday here apartments were spotlessly clean yes a little worn in areas but great value for money. Not much in amacao de pera but we were visiting portugese friends so had a car. Gelhador restaurant was fab. Bit of a nightmare too find as sat nav takes you to another hotel but once you find it its fine. Will definitely be returning.

Nice Hotel, Good Value but Difficult to Locate

We had a hard time reaching to the hotel, even with GPS... It is quite hard to find and the people around don't especially know about this hotel, there are so many all around... Disappointed not to have WiFi in the rooms. That said, we had a good value out of this hotel. The apartment is spacious, quite comfortable and clean with modern look. Bathroom is correct and clean. I do recommend this hotel.

Good value basic hotel

7 day family holiday in the sun. Good basic hotel, large pool with lots of room. Supermarket and a few restaurants within 15 mins walk. Hotel provides shuttle bus to town where there are lots of restaurants/bars. Mainly Portuguese on holiday when we were there and beaches were packed. We only went for a weeks sun so didn't bother with a car but if you were there longer you would need a car to get around.

Quiet family location

We had a fabulous stay at these apartments. They are well kitted out and very well kept. The pool was spotlessly clean with plenty of sun loungers.

The on site shop, cafe, restaurant made our stay very straight forward. We had our two small kids with us and they went to sleep early but we were able to order takeaway dinner or dessert from the staff and call back to get it.

The reception staff assisted us to book day trips and find local restaurants and answered any of our questions.

Quiet, relaxing and perfect for the family.

We stayed at one of the apartments in Quintinha Village as we are a family of 5. We had two floors and I couldn't fault the apartment. We had a dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, hob, fridge freezer and all the kitchen equipment was clean and well made. The apartment was spotless, with towels being changed daily and beds being made as well. Both pools were lovely, once you got used to the salt water. Bar man was fantastic, making my husband and sons evening game of pool very enjoyable. Food in Restaurant was expensive but nice. Would rate the plain rolls available to buy in the Cafe. Delicious on their own. Other than the restaurant we found the food available on site very reasonable.

We were given a Large Spacious Apartment Which was very good Value For Price. Everything in Apartment Functioned Well Plus Lighting was good, which we had found Poor in Some apartments. Staff Were Friendly and Helpful and the beach and Some shops and Restaurants are Within Walking Distance. Pool and Pool area Very Good. Would Definitely Stay Again if In the Area.

Great area, close to sea. Fab pool but cannot comment on any other facilities as they were all shut although this was not mentioned when we booked.
Apartment was more than we expected with all facilities including a washing machine which was great. Roof terrace, garden, patio; it has all you need and very clean.

Great, quiet place

I really enjoyed my stay and it was exactly was I was looking for... A quiet place with sea views, near some nice beaches.

You do need a car as close to some places but not others, but we went to a different beach everyday so having a stress free place to come back to was great.

well equiped .spacious apartment/home

i say home because our two story ,two bedroomed apartment had its own little garden wtrh a 3 foot hedge which gave you a feeling of privacy .you also had the opition of using rhe rooftop to catch the Sun. the swimming pool which had a small cafe right beside it was only a stones throw from our pad..The lady who ran the Cafe was very ,very pleasant to speak with and to deal with. about 3 mihs walk from here brought you ro rhe main reception area whish had free wi-fi .a mini shop had all rhe basics with a bar/ resturant on the second floor, a guy named Tony ran rhe place and he could speak fluent english...there was a pool table in the bar and a big T.V witch mostly played MTV but it was hooked up to some sky sports channels so any big games could be watched..there was another pool near rhe reseption area. a rental car is a must to visit the algarve beachs and towns that are dotted along the coast.

Just returned from a fantastic stay at Quinta das Figueirinhas - really spacious apartment, clean and well equipped. Lovely feeling about the place - very quiet and relaxed which was just what we were looking for. Not a all crowded - only a few English holiday makers, majority Portuguese families. Restaurant / snack food very good, not overly expensive. Bar lacked a little atmosphere but that didn't deter us from using it every day!

lovely relaxing holiday

stayed here for ten days in Aug with husband and two children aged 7 and 8. apartment spacious and clean. arrived before room ready but had packed swim stuff and so used pool while we waited. kitchen clean and tidy with two ring hob, fridge and microwave. pool area great. never stayed anywhere where sun beds stayed unreserved all morning. each room has own parasol so no scramble for anything. resort is very Portuguese and lots of families who are regulars. lovely atmosphere. would consider hiring car if went again- courtesy bus stops at 6pm and taxi to nearest town is 5 euro each way. alburfiera is 22 euro in taxi and cavoiero is 18 euro.
