The staff were excellent, they saw that I was limping when I came off the transfer and immediately checked and moved me to a ground floor room. I was really impressed! From that point they all were friend and helpful. The room was clean and had a new look about it. Location good, quiet and short walk to the beach. Short Uber ride to old town and lively side of town if you are looking for the nightlife. Happily visit again.

Fabulous location

The hotel staff are really helpful and kind.
The do their best to make sure customers get a pleasant stay. The rooms are ok needs renovation. The kitchen is not super equipped bit enough for few nights. The quality of the breakfast is really medium.
It’s close to city centre and the Marina. Overall nice experience but not sure if I would stay again there.

Clean rooms and surrounding areas. Beds a little hard and uncomfortable but with extra bedding underneath it was a little more comfy. The local area doesn’t have much around but the beach was lovely and their is a supermarket close by. Lovely little Italian called BellaVita about a 10 minute walk away and on the way to the beach.

Loved this property. It was quiet and just what we were looking for. Rooms were good size and cleaned each day. Easy access to and from Albufeira old town by taxi organised by staff (brilliant). Food was excellent and nothing was too much for all the staff.
Salgados beach is just so beautiful and only a 10 minute walk from complex. Would definately recommend these apartments.

Nice place near to the beach

The place was nice, complex small but nice. The best part (the roof) had been neglected which was a shame. Staff were helpful and friendly. In the middle of nowhere but was easily able to arrange transportation and not too expensive. Only a few issues, the apartment had a huge infestation of ants which made it difficult to keep food in a self catering apartment. The pool and jacuzzi were colder than the sea. The staff booked our excursion on the wrong day but they fixed it for us eventually after trying to say it was our fault, when we realised no one was coming to pick us up. Was told the bingo and quiz night was free, then told we had to pay to play. Was fine just could’ve been more convenient to know this first.

Enjayable staty in Salgados

Good welcome, reception very friendly and helpful. Only stayed for one night but would nave been happy to stay for longer. We had a hire car so it was easy to drive to the old town of Albufiera which is a tourist magnate. There was a beach within easy walking distance but we never got time to see what it was like.
Couldn't have expected more for the money we paid.

You get what you pay for!

Cheap holiday away equalled cheap poor quality hotel!

Apartment was basic but the bathroom and bedroom had an awful smell and I found it difficult to breathe.....not sure if it had damp or poor ventilation.

Bed so hard and uncomfortable we preferred to sleep on the sofa. And lots of ants in the kitchen area!

One staff lady got ruder and ruder as the week went on, snapping and giving attitude. So much so that we chose to eat breakfast at the cute little hotel cafe next door. I feel like she’s over worked but her rudeness ruined the trip!

The rest of the staff however was a delight and incredibly helpful, chatty and lovely.

The pool was clean but very cold! Lots of sun loungers. The grounds were beautiful and clean. Beach about 15 minute walk away, it was truly stunning. We spent most of our days at the beach. I suggest you take a trip to old town, lots of restaurants, bars, shops and another amazing beach.

Overal I would 100% go to Portugal again, but never ever ever stay at bayside salgados

Excellent stay room basic but got all your need. Staff really help full we were passengers affected by monarch and they were really helpful in assisting us. Shuttle great for getting into Albuferia but there is a bus nearby that you can get to there as well we used it to get to the bus station and went for the day to Alvor lovely place for a visit. Excellent beach a 10 min walk with a great restaurant 5 min away overlooking the sea. We went to the Italian restaurant again only 10 min walk and the food was lovely. We will definitely go again.

Lovely experience overall. Great staff. Lovely poolside and entertainment area.
Spacious roof with balcony.
Main downfall: very steep and shallow stairs, and an awkward bathroom (uncomfortable layout, low light, and no head space in bath as the wall is literally after the bath rather than a few centimeters behind it).

Adequate apartments in a location that is away from the hustle and bustle. Amazing staff, cheap shuttle to town, clean pool and well kept gardens. Local supermarket 10 mins away that sold everything at reasonable prices. Only 10 mins walk from a stunning beach.

The Apartment was light and very clean. Basic utensils etc but adequate. New towels every other day and a clean through. The supermarket was a five minute walk away. The staff were excellent - organised our car hire at the best price and someone was there to meet us at 4 a.m.

Well I was optimistic as the pics and information looked good, I have stayed in many budget resorts but I am sorry to say this was a bad one for myself and my fiancée... first room allocated on ground floor was awful and smelt of sewage with an open terrace next to main pathway and no privacy at all. second offering was with balcony, very basic with nowhere to put anything and cooking area very small with no storage. now the worst thing was the noise from all manner of places, the water system from other apartments all hours was deafening. close proximity of front doors of apartments was also very disturbing with constant door banging. the pool area was the only plus point, bar area was deserted in the evening on our visit so a car ride to Albufeira was required for an evenings entertainment,
after 7 days I need some sleep and a kitchen that is a little more useful, as for the old 12 portable tv ,,, forget it.
an update is required here. if you want internet go to shopping centre WORTEN and get data sim,, very cheap...
sorry I will not return here....best of luck if you do...

The only drawback is if you wanted to join some out of complex nightlife :- Bars or restaurants or go for an evening people watching it is not easy as it's too far out in the sticks.

Very nice hotel.

The accommodation is in studio apartments with small kitchen area. All very clean and well equipped. All have a huge balcony. Lovely feeling of privacy. Pool and pool area very clean and well equipped. Only had breakfast for an additional cost. Perfectly acceptable. Staff were extremely helpful. Once we had sorted out the correct route, the nearest beach was a 10 minute walk away.

Just spent a week here and had a great time. Peaceful family resort .500 metres to large supermarket and 900 metres to beach. Bayside is a small complex of 90 apartments in 2 storey blocks around the pool. . Our 2nd storey studio was just right for 3 people and had a wrap around balcony- only hassle was the narrow spiiral stairs!. Basic cooking facilities- microwave 2 ring hob, fridge and kettle. But there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and Bayside do tasty lasagnas pizzas and curries so you can always eat in!.The staff are brilliant and can't do enough to help you! A special thank you for being so patient with your guests. Bayside is perfect for a quiet holiday away from the bustle of old and new town of Albufeira . Tough a shuttle bus is provided if you want to visit Albufeira. The beaches around Salgados are the best in the whole of the Algarve- and so clean

Very average apartment in a nice complex. Really hard to find this place which is about 7 klms out of town. Not within walking distance to beach although closest beach was very nice. apartment was small and ot smelt of sour milk. best thing was a big swimming pool which looked very clean restaurant on site but didn't try it. very reasonably priced. Had a small kitchenette with fridge.

The experience of holiday I will always treasure. The area and beaches are beautiful. The hotel could do with updating and a paint job. The hotel is for people who don't mind going without luxuries for a few days. But if you are the type that will spend most of your time away from the resort, adventuring out to the local beaches and towns then you won't mind the decor of the hotel. Meals are really nicely prepared and surprisingly cheaper than the surrounding restaurants. There is only one cash point in the area that doesn't get filled during the weekend, although most of the restaurants take card, take an amount of cash that will suffice. All in all I had a wonderful trip and highly recommend Portugal and booking through Expedia.

Positives: good price for the facilities offered, helpful staff, 10 min walk to the beach which is amazing and not very crowded. The poolside bar does amazing smoothies. Staff helped us in booking excursions which turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Supermarket close by. Located far from the busy touristy old town of albufiera

negatives: the hotel is located quite far from Faro airport and unless you are renting a car airport transfers can be quite expensive. Duvets did not have covers on them which was a proper turn off.

Lovely staff. They were very friendly and helpful. Fantastic location to the beach though out in the middle of no where a little. shuttle to the old town put on by the hotel for only 1.75 euro per person per way a great idea and definitely worth a visit. If you are looking for a lively, fun-filled holiday don't come here but perfect for families wanting some piece and quiet and a beautiful beach (though be prepared to walk at least 15 mins for the good parts).

a dream come true

this hotel was a dream compared to where we had previously been placed not by expedia i may add but previous hotel owner. they were very helpful, they reopened the kitchen to make us some food when we arrived very late at night.staff are exceptionally helpful and they all speak very good english. cleaning staff are also very nice. would go again. if its only downfall is its location from Alberfuria then that is not a problem the hotel runs a shuttle service there for 3.50 euros return or a taxi is 13.50 euros. if you walk to the top of the road the beach acess is to your left or right and if you walk a little to the left you will find more facilities, restaurants etc.

Grundsätzlich ein schönes (Familien-) Hotel mit einem guten Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.
Nur zu unserer Zeit wurden mehrere Bungalows an eine Gruppe Jungendlicher (ca. 20-25 Personen) vermietet, welche die ganze Nacht Party und Krach machten. Ein Schlafen in der Nacht war unmöglich. Diese Partys wurde vom Hotelmanagement stillschweigend tolleriert resp. akzeptiert und die Beschwerden von den anderen Gästen ignoriert. Grundsätzlich ist dies ein No-Go

L'unica pecca il bagno senza finestra.
Nel complesso consigliato.

A good stay thou away from everything. Possible to walk to the beach otherwise you need a car. Pool only crowded from late afternoon and onwards. Nice rooms thou only with the minimum of supplies. Hairdryer sucked big time. Nice staff always clean and calm. In all a good stay.
