The hotel provided daily cleaning which was nice and unusual to us for a 7-day resort stay. However, we were surprised that the unit didn't provide any tissue paper or paper towel for the kitchen. One single small cutting knife provided in the kitchen can barely cut through an apple. There was neither a dishwasher, nor dish washing liquid, sponge or kitchen towels. So, we had to purchase those basic items from grocery store. The beach was in a walkable distance from the hotel. But I didn't see any restrooms or shower/changing facility at the beach.

Stayed for one night only, very well attended by reception staff, hotel is very pleasant, room very clean and comfortable.
Great breakfast as well with plenty of choice and quality.
Had stayed with family before for a weeks holiday and the quality was exactly the same. Recommended.

We just returned after staying 6 nights at Vila Gale Atlântico, 2 adults and 2 young kids.
This has been our 6th trip to Gale so we know the are fairly well . The hotel is located by a lovely sandy long beach , ideal for families with young kids like us.
Gale is a much quieter, nicer and dare me to say upper class area than the crowds found in Albufeira town, nice restaurants, beach bar and stunning clean beach , it really is a little gem . If you are looking for the cheap drinks, karaoke bars, late music bars etc then you must stay out of Gale as not for you, this is a quiet nice area.
Vila Gale Altlantico - we booked a sea view suite , hotel location is excellent just 5 minutes walking to beach and with our favourite supermarket Apolonia down the road ( you can get Portuguese take away food to hotel/pizza/sushi, the quality of the food is very good). There is also a number of restaurantes walking distance from hotel although a car is highly reccommended to one exploring the area.
Hotel—Reception: very beautiful decor, modern , luxurious feel . Check-in however very unimpressive, we were mostly just handled our keys, no information given so we had to return to Reception a number of times to ask for things . Also we felt staff a bit rigid.
Room : very spacious, very clean , lovely see views from second floor. Yes decor a bit outdated but didn’t bother us. Facilities: nice pools, indoor pool was cold , games room, jacuzzi . Would definitely return .

Location - less than five minute walk to the beach. Lovely pool, never felt crowded. Good option of indoor pool available too. Very good buffet breakfast. Good sized room with useful kitchenette area. Friendly, efficient staff. We’d stay there again.

Easy walking distance to a fun beach (Galé). Perfect hotel for families with young kids with the playground and waterslides. Room can use some updating and a deep cleaning. Bed was awful. Beware that if you get 3 twin beds that it means 2 twin beds pushed together and a roll in bed.

This hotel is located about 10 minutes by car from downtown Albufeira where the action is. On the upside the location is very close to Playa Galé which is beautiful beach where you walk West a long way to the next fishing village. The hotel staff are kind and helpful. The outdoor pool area is nice with lots of chairs. The room we stayed in had a separate bedroom and partial kitchen which a little tired. Vinyl flooring is a positive alternative to carpet.

Highly recommended hotel!

Lovely hotel. Reception staff very helpful when booking a trip for us. Amazing food in the restaurant and the staff there are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. We didn't want to leave and will hopefully be returning soon!

A lovely spot with a 5 min walk to an excellent beach with gentle surf.
Hotel is a bit dated but functional. Lots of car spaces for hire cars. Tired but spacious rooms. Tiled floor on ground floor rooms was very noisy. Wifi dropped out a lot.

Great hotel. Laid back feel. A couple of minutes walk to beach. Highly recommended. Woyld go back again.Amazing breakfast buffet with full variety of hot and cold breakfasts. Try the regional breads. Keeps you going til late afternoon. Professional efficient staff team. Public areas sparkling clean. Rooms are apartments wirh family size bathroom and kitchen area. Pool areas perfect as chest height. Perfect for swimmming for all the family in a safe environment. Spa facilities with reasonable prices. Turkish steamroom a must.

The staff made the stay very memorable. Flavio and Emma were amazing. The breakfast included was very customized and included mimosas! Very clean. Amenities were good - only negative was indoor pool/hot tub closed at 8:00 pm a bit too early.

We went in October and couldn't fault the hotel even though our room got flooded after a couple of large downpours within the first few days of our stay and they had to move us to another room.

Great location

Perfect spot for a sunny holiday near the beach. Our 3 years old loved the playground, trampoline and kids pool. There is a lovely supermarket 3 minutes walk and albufeira a 10 minute drive. We will go back!

Lovely hotel, close to the beach.

We stayed in the Vila Gale Atlantico for a week. (June 21-June 28). We were looking for a very relaxing break and that is exactly what we got. The hotel is in a very quiet area and so not suitable for anyone looking for lively nightlife. Although we arrived two hours earlier than the check in time we were given a room right away. The rooms are comfortable and clean with a fridge, microwave and two ring cooker. There are adequate utensils for eating in if you want to. We only had breakfasts in the hotel, so I cannot comment on the food at dinner, but the breakfast (buffet style) had everything we needed and was always hot and plentiful. The room was cleaned, and we were given fresh towels every day. There were pool towels available and more that enough sunbeds and sun umbrellas around the pool.

The hotel is very close to the beach and is an easy walk. You can watch the sun set from the restaurants on the beach. Especially Pedras Amarelas, the food and the cocktails are very good.

There is a well stocked supermarket a short walk away which bakes lovely fresh bread every day.

The hotel no longer has a courtesy bus (as advertised) going into Albufeira but the local bus stops outside the hotel entrance 3.50 euros and a taxi costs 10 euros. It takes around 20mins in a taxi.

We would definitely return to Vila Gale Atlantico,

Hugely disappointing - doesn't merit 4 stars

on arrival I was allocated a room with a poor view (over the car park) and with very little hanging space, no one offered to give me any help with taking my luggage to the room. I requested a different room and was given a better one with a view over the pool, but still no offer of help with moving my luggage. The receptionist spoke very little English and offered very little information about the hotel facilities etc. The bar service was very poor and the drinks expensive, there were none of the extras one might expect - olives, nuts etc and the evening entertainment was very poor. The daytime entertainment team did make a real effort to provide some decent service and were all very polite and friendly. The food was uninspiring and very ordinary, I only discovered on the penultimate day of the holiday that there was an A La Carte option available but by this time I had lost interest in attending the hotel dining room.

Nice for a quiet getaway!

Very nice hotel with lovely, friendly staff. It is in a peaceful location, close to a lovely beach. If you are wanting pubs and clubs nearby this is not the place for you as it's about 10 min drive to the main strip but ther are a few lovely restaurants within walking dstance to the hotel. So for a quiet getaway, this hotel is ideal. I would personally recommend the lighthouse restaurant and the restaurant on the beach (can't remember what it's called) but the fish is to die for - reasonably priced too, and the wine....yum!
The pools in the hotel are very well maintained and there is a little outdoor play area for the kids near the pool too. We travelled with a 3 year old and a baby and everyone's needs were met.
We ate in the hotel a couple of evenings and had breakfast every morning. I would rate the food as 4/5.

Vila Gale- comfortable but a little out of the way

The hotel itself was great - clean and spacious, nice pool and grounds, breakfast fabulous. The staff spoke were multi lingual and helpful but we were in the area only for 2 nights and the weather not worthy of beaching. We inquired for things to do and they couldn't recommend a thing. We found out later there were options for restaurant/bars just down the street, which offered karaoke and at least a chance to get out. Also there were other activities not too far away. The housekeeping were very efficient and good but they would come to our room early and even when we were lying in bed and changing they came right in!!
The hotel is far from the train station and costs about 20 euro by taxi; the local buses we were told were not a good option. There is a hotel shuttle to and from Albufeira center 3 times per day which can be helpful to cut the costs down if you're able to time it properly. Once at the hotel though, no real complaints especially if you are looking to just get your room and stay on the beach.Oh.. keep in mind there is a stove, but no oven!! The supermarket and atm are within 5 mins walking so great location once there!!

the room was like an apartment with fridge and stove, looked out on the ocean, but ocean view not a must at this hotel, bed was comfortable, bathrrom nice, spacious, bidet...the food was buffet, good selection of fruits, nice breakfast - the beach is a fair walk but nice - cool rock formations, the bus to Albufeira was very handy, courteous, on time - Albufeira is fun for shopping, outdoor cafes, beautiful beach, I would go again - nice family oriented pool lots of kids - even though we are a muture couple we like the activity - the only real negative that turned out ok was that the toilet wouldn't flush but when the technician came he fixed it - he was pleasant -

Fantastisk fin miljö med bra pool område för både vuxna och barn. Bra hjälp vid in- och utcheckning. Bra utrustning i köket dock saknades diskborste och diskmedel vilket behövde köpas i närliggande butik.

Nära havet och promenad stråk som förgyllde vistelsen.
