We had the most amazing ocean view and private pool. Everything was perfect, the staff are excellent, friendly and efficient. Our villa was so nice and comfortable we extended our stay for 3 more days and would have stayed longer if we could. The location is fantastic, very close to the beach, the sea view balcony was such a nice place to sit and relax with a perfect uninterrupted view of the sea. 5 or 6 mins in taxi to the Old town with great night life. Just down the road there are a couple of really nice restaurants and good sports bar. I highly recommend this place if you want to be close to sea,, night life and come home to a quieter more relaxed hotel/villa. I am looking forward to coming back here next year.

Loved this villa and will definitely be back! Plenty of room for a couple or family, nice kitchen to cook in and plenty of entertainment room downstairs and at your private backyard. Loved having a pool to ourselves and a balcony that looked out to the ocean. Very peaceful and quiet!! Beach close by was small and not busy which was nice. Easy quick drive into Albufiera for food or to walk around. Parking below the property is a little bit of a pain, but nice and safe since the villas are gated.

The property is much smaller than it appears in the photos and the pool was absolutely freezing making it too unpleasant to use. The room had everything we needed and was very clean. The front desk staff was very helpful— offering warm greetings each morning and tips on local things to do. Breakfast was nice and offered a variety of things to chose from. Loved the quiet location and the easy walk to the nearby beach. The hotel does not provide parking, but the public parking on the street was easily accessible each night.

The service was great, the staff are ok, but not very considerate or friendly. I made a mistake booking and had the option of either losing my money or booking a new room somewhere else for a family member since they couldn’t accommodate them. It was partially my fault but the way the situation was handled was very mean business style. I would’ve expected them to be a bit more nice or considerate. Even the main manger that was their stated that their isn’t anything else she can talk to me about so I should stop talking.
The place is nice though and close to the beach and clean. All the other staff where friendly.

We stayed in the villas with a private pool and it was absolutely phenomenal. The suite itself is absolutely beautiful, clean and well-maintained and so much space for at least six people, and it was just me and my friend. We are definitely planning our stay back here as the staff was also extremely helpful and kind.

It is up on a hill by the ocean but view only from 1 room - a bedroom. When we arrived, we found heating the pool costs $20/day extra and takes over 3 days to heat. No protection from neighbors noise -- e.g. barking dog, conversations...

The location is great. Walking distance to couple beaches. One of the beaches has a nice beach restaurant where you can choose your fresh fish and they will grill it for you. Albufera is less then 10 min away by taxi. We liked it because the location is very quiet. It felt that we are by our selfs there. The only thing that I didn’t like is that the bed had this cover over the mattress and under the sheet the protection that you would use for a baby cribs. Like some plastic that sounds like when you move and makes extra warm at night. That should go!

The area is super nice! Walking distance to two beautiful beaches, both with beachside restaurants, paddleboard rentals, etc… The hotel is intimate, almost closer to a BNB than a hotel. This is not a luxury hotel, but I felt like we found a gem of a place to stay with great service, continental breakfast, private pool

We rented a 3 bedroom Palm villa , when we tried to check in at 4 our room was not ready ( not a big deal) and was asked to come back a little later. We explored the area a little and on our return at 5 was told that there was a maintenance issue with our accommodation (the main bedroom with walkout to upstairs patios whole drape assembly had fallen off the wall ) we’re told that they locked the room and if it was ok if we just used it as a 2 bedroom.I told them we definitely needed a 3 bedroom unit, they had no other availability and could not move us. I told them I would take the unit as is so it took another hour for them to clean the extra room for our check in was delayed till 6pm. This particular unit is getting a little tired overall, things like loose hand rail at top of stairs tile trim in upstairs bathroom not flush deadbolt on front door disabled with screw kitchen and living room tables with glass stains. The overall cleanliness I would rate a 3 out of 5 ( I ended up having to give the outdoor patio floor a wash down (no big deal).All the other properties we stayed at provided some laundry detergent for a few loads as well as a roll of paper towels in the kitchen they did not ( would be nice if they had. The underground parking was a joke unless you are driving a small car VW golf your not going to fit but ample outdoor parking . I would say that the staff especially the property manager was very kind and helpful and apologized for the inconvenience of the drapes

This is a wonderful property. The staff was friendly. It one wants to be near the action, then this isn't the place. This place is for a wonderful chill vacation. However, there are BOLT rides that can cheaply take one to the hot spots.

The staff were so friendly, even they mentioned they are new there. They provide us very good information and also do something very special. As we had to go to the airport and could not be there for the last breakfast, they provided us a breakfast bag including a home made sandwich😍

The location is great and just 5 minutes walking to st Rafael beach, but a little bit difficult to reach if you have no car

The hotel is too small and some equipment were a little bit old, but in overall the hotel can satisfy you

The brekfast buffet had no hot meal, maybe because of the season

Safety is also good. The staff leave the hotel at 6 p.m. but there is a guard who is availbale during the night

In overall, we really enjoyed and highly recommend the hotel

This property is located in a very convenient area. You can walk to a few 5 star rated restaurants and even a local beach. No more than 10 min walk to any location. It feels very safe to walk at night, we really enjoyed that. Prepare to hear a lot of instructions with a map when you arrive to get to your hotel room and they don't assist with luggage. Although the hotel is located on a very beautiful and large piece of property the rooms are not up to date. The wifi is very spotty. We had a leak in the bathroom that left a big puddle on the floor our whole stay because nobody came to fix it even though they told us someone would come. This was very upsetting because nobody came to clean the room either so we were left with limited towels which we used for the puddle. These are things you do not want to deal with after a whole day of traveling. I really wanted to love this place but they have a lot of fixing to do. Staff was friendly.

We stayed in a villa that was walking distance from two beautiful beaches. You will definitely need a car to get around, as this is outside the city center. The villa was nice, but felt like it had just been built and finished in a hurry. The upstairs bidet didn’t work, the downstairs sink was not caulked together, the closets didn’t close, and there were large scrapes on the walls and no decorations. There were also plastic mattress protectors on the beds, which seemed odd for a luxury hotel. There was also tons of noise with construction of villas next door and the walls are paper-thin, so you can hear your neighbors. Having a full kitchen and washer/dryer was very nice. The property, including the pool, was very nice and felt secure. The lady at the front desk was not at all welcoming and seemed unhappy to be there. I highly recommend the location, but would not stay at this property in the future.

Property definitely isn’t a 4 star by North American standards (I understand this isnt North America). It seems like more of a hostel to me. I stayed in the Superior double room with Sea view. Perhaps the villas and apartment styles are nicer; hence the better reviews? I saw the conflicting reviews when booking and decided to give it a chance with hopes it wouldnt have been so bad.

Pictures were consistent with the room. The location is great, close to two nice beaches and away from the chaos of the old town of Albufeira. The staff are nice but don’t expect anything over the top/ them to go above or beyond in terms of service. Breakfast is generic with very basic breakfast offerings - fruit, cereal, bread, eggs, bacon, coffee, tea. The property could benefit from a little more attention to detail. Common areas seem clean and modern. However, I thought my room could have benefitted from a little extra cleaning, especially in the bathroom. The walls need painting, the shower walls could do with some scrubbing (with bleach) and the baseboards need dusting.

Overall the room was comfortable. If you’re looking somewhere to sleep and don’t care about the extra details then consider this property because the area is nice. If you’re looking for a higher level of experience consider elsewhere.

Location location location

We have always visited São Rafael beach in the past so to stay so close to it in such beautiful accommodation was a real treat. Literally a few minutes walk away you have the choice of two wonderful beaches and there are also two pools to choose from. The pool at the villas is small but beautiful especially in the morning. In the late afternoon the pool at the nearby GuestHouse gets the sun and is more spacious. Our 3 bedroom villa was very spacious and had an amazing balcony where we had breakfast every day. The day bed is also a cool feature and we were tempted to sleep out under the stars on it but never got around to it sadly. Apolonia supermarket is about 6 or 7 minutes drive away and has all the groceries you'd need. Margen Sul restaurant is a short walk away and has excellent food...also cater well for children. All in all a great stay and would return in a heartbeat ❤️

We liked the room however the staffs did not communicate well. The day before check out, I’ve spoken with the night shift receptionist, and he allowed us do the late check out at 12:30pm but then the morning shift forced us return the room on time. The reason is the next guests heading to hotel so they need to have enough time prepare the room. Well I believe if they really have next guests check in on the same day as my check out, the night shift staff would tell me about this and reject my request.

Only minor complaint is that the internet is very slow. So don't plan to do Netflix. However, there were several English TV options for movies and other shows.

This was our second visit, we stayed in a 2 bed apartment it was spacious and had everything you needed. Plenty of toiletries, clean towels and a pack for washing up dishes. The house keeper attends every day to empty bins and do a general tidy up.
We found the large bed firm and the smaller beds softer.
Sadly my coat disappeared whilst we were staying there which made for a cold and soggy journey home, I have to say the Guesthouse staff and wider team were very helpful trying to locate it, it may well turn up at some point. On the whole another great stay, lots of friendly people and some great places to eat around the area. There is a sparkly new Italian restaurant within ten minutes walk, you can watch the chefs work, and further on Dom Dinis classic Portuguese restuarant never disappoints.

Very good communication before arrival. Helpful and friendly staff, very nice villas and surrounding areas. Safe underground private parking. Kitchenette equipped with everything you need. Villas are serviced daily, beach towels and toiletries supplied.

Super place if you need a quick sun injection with your family. Many private rooms and showers. Parking space of your car under your own apartment. Direct access to the unspoiled land with a 7min walk to the (rocky) beach. Kids loved it.

This is one of the best hotel apartments I ever been. The cleaning is absolutely outstanding and the receptionist so service minded. We wanted to change a room due to my allergies. She was very understanding and helpful. We decided to come back to the same hotel after few days in Sagres. The receptionist again very welcoming, top service as the first time.
The hotel is located near few amazing beaches - walk distance. Highly recommend this place.

We stayed here (mid October), the weather was good, we hired a villa it was very spacious, lots of toiletries, 2 good showers and plenty of towels. We didn't expect three bedrooms, but that was a bonus. Kitchen was equip with all essentials. One massive plus point were the staff, they were all lovely people, and very helpful. Anything we asked for they did their best to help and accommodate us, in my opinion they went above and beyond what you would expect, they are a real credit to the business. The area felt safe and clean, not far from beautiful beaches, and plenty of good places to eat. City Bar does a good breakfast, there's a pizza place at the top of the road, we dined one evening at Dom Dinis a restaurant, about a 20 minute walk away it was a really good meal and reasonably priced too. I didn't want to leave, I will be back!

We were misinformed by Expedia website thinking we were booking an apartment to find we had more like a hotel room. However my room had no storage for clothing, , the sink was blocked a number of times and no outdoor balcony as described on the website. I also asked one morning for poached eggs instead of boiled and the waitress said she could not do that for me, which I found quite poor service? Considering we were the only people in the buffet area for breakfast? Poor place to stay for a lot of money would not recommend to anyone

Excellent apartments, we loved our stay.

Excellent apartments, we loved our stay & hopefully will visit again.

Things we loved:
1. Great location, walking distance from the Sao Rafael beach.
2. Sea view from the apartment balcony while having morning tea & breakfast was prime.
3. Excellent customer service from the hospitality team and room cleaning service. In fact they were very helpful right from the start in guiding us to reach the resort because the navigator on the hired car took us to another one of their properties. Very calm and patient team.
4. The big surprise was when they delivered a birthday cake & a bottle of prosecco when we hadn't even told them. So, someone must have observed that on the passport while checking in & planned it.
5. Very good parking place next to the apartment which made it very convenient to enter & exit the apartment while using the car.

Things that can be improved:
1. Given its a self catering apartment and the kitchen is well equipped, I would have expected some basics like salt, pepper, sugar, tea bags/coffee etc to be provided. At least that's been our experience with similar apartments elsewhere in UK & Europe.
2. The WiFi was reliable and good on ground floor but on the first floor it was patchy and poor.

Amazing place!

Just had an amazing stay at this apartment. Very clean and open. This apartment is close to the beach, within walking distance. Also we drove 15 minutes away to nice hike along the coast. Also found some great restaurants. Great area. Love Alagrave!

Friendly staff and beautiful location

We arrived a lot earlier to the guest house to check in due to our early flight.
The staff were very helpful and checked us in a lot earlier without charging us for this privilege.
Staff always happy to help, lovely villas .. would go back again.

great room with a view

We stayed at one of their studio units for 3 nights. The room was great with great amenities, a kitchenette, parking garage, and a private pool in the back yard. The staff was friendly. The location was great in terms of beach access (~10 walk to 3 different beaches) but to get to restaurants and stuff it might be a little inconvenient if you don't have a car.

nice but noisy

tiles floors with no carpet means furniture noise. thin walls since you can hear your neighbours banging furniture around at night. wifi was weak. i was planing a Facebook live video from this place but was unable due to the poor wifi. also, i could update my apps because of the weak wifi. TV was useless. Only 4 channels.

Spoilt by crowd of women in pool area.

We were expecting a room with a kitchenette, but there was only a fridge. The room was quite large with a good shower. There was no mini bar as advertised. We used the small pool when we arrived but shortly after it was taken over by a large group of young women who were staying at the villas. This made it very overcrowded and not pleasant to sit out, the pool area was not big enough for this. Our room also overlooked this area. The reception staff were very good and the breakfast was good too. We had to park a little way down the street, but could stop outside for unloading luggage. It was not very far to walk to beach and restaurant. The receptionist gave us a map with restaurants marked on.

I expected a little more

Lovely villa with secure underground garage with stairs directly to your villa. Attention to detail is missing here. It would have been great for someone to come in and show us or provide information on how to use the television, garage entry, air conditioning, etc. Air conditioning units did not work consistently throughout our stay and stopped working in the middle of the night every day! There were cobwebs in some places. The service in the bar area is awful, getting food and sometimes drinks is so slow! There were no instructions on how to call the reception, I just googled the number and called from my mobile. When you call, the staff at the reception are really helpful, but the cleaning staff are grumpy. I normally don't leave such negative reviews, but I do feel that they have fantastic villas and are let down by a lack of customer service and they need to check their villas for the next guest to ensure everything is in working order and clean.

Wonderful welcoming and helpful staff. Quiet location and pool area smaller than pictures indicate. Wasn't beach weather when we visited but a close walk to the beach. Taxi into town was inexpensive or close by car. 15 mins walk to marina and 15 mins further to town. Recommend as a base to explore the towns of the Algarve.
