Enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay while visiting the Algarve region. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice balcony. We didn’t enjoy the pool but it looked very inviting. The staff was friendly and helpful as well.

A little surprised by the reviews for this hotel. The rooms were outdated and the bed was very uncomfortable. Breakfast was OK … canned peaches and yogurt cups with lots of bread choices and some other fruit. We found the coffee undrinkable. Pool area was very clean and quiet but the loungers were a pleather/vinyl that got very hot in the sun and the small beach towel provided was not enough to cover it comfortably. Seems like many other guests bought or brought better towels to deal with this. Front desk wasn’t very helpful when I was inquiring about the beach and where to rent chairs (it’s the brown surf stand hut not the restaurant as the hotel told us). First time in Algarve so I don’t have anything to gauge this against.

I had a delightful few days here on my solo holiday. The hotel facilities are lovely and clean. The gym is really decent for a hotel gym, the free sauna and steam room are a great touch. Breakfast had lots of options. The pool area was so nice and quiet. I loved the local area too, I enjoyed my morning walk along the coastal boardwalk, and the beach is great for watching the sunset. I'd definitely choose this hotel for a quiet relaxing break if you want to avoid the \"brits abroad\" rowdy crowd in other Algarve areas. I'll be back!

It is a wondwrful hotel. However, there was construction work going on such as grinding of cement at 8:30 a.m.
Bed was too hard for me and shower was slippery.
Tge hotel provided a mattress topper and a shower mat. Made all the difference.

When we arrived there was nobody at reception to check us in. Eventually someone came out but he didnt know how to do it. The receptionist came out after a while and did it properly.

They said there are only coffee making facilitys in the room by request , i requested a coffee machine then after it was delivered learmt that its a euro per coffee. Tnats the first hotel i have ever stayed in that charges coffee making facilities.

Tbere was no iron in the room, i asked for one but they only offer a paid for pressing service. However the quickest turnaround in 24 hours for rhe more expensive express service which is no good for the eveing we arrived.

The hotel itself is nice in a very quiet area just down the road from Gale beach which is lovely.

Excelent choice for those who want to spend quiet holidays and don´t have any children that are not allowed. Great pool and spa and a few minutes walk to the beach. Very good service and a big variety of choices for lunch and dinner as well as drinks. Not very expensive having a good value for money.

Very close to the beach
I found it so strange they didn't give out irons in the room, I landed and needed to go straight to a family event and they wouldn't provide an iron. At least provide an ironing room! Room service breakfast was very poor and I didn't get much of a welcome when I went to the standard breakfast, staff were a bit aloof.
Hotel was really nice other than that - plenty of room by the pool.

This hotel was very nice, however it was not worth the price we paid when comparing to other places we have stayed. One would not expect water stains in the ceilings and mould in the tub when paying over $300 per night.
Hotel was clean and quiet -however they seemed to be low on staff-considering a few staff members commented about just how busy they were.
The beach is so close and beautiful-which is a major selling point for sure!!Would we stay again? Likely not given the price and amenities offered.

Nice to stay at a hotel with visible management and staff who really care about the guests experience and put their satisfaction at a priority. The staff throughout all went the extra mile to make our stay memorable and enjoyable. This is one of the few places we've been where we will immediately be planning a return visit.

A wonderful holiday here. It was very quiet since it is adults only. Great free breakfast, wonderful staff! The pool wasn’t heated and was a bit cold. We wished they had no smoking on the balconies. Our neighbor smoked continuously out there. Strangely
there’s no address so finding it was very difficult.

Really great pool area which is the highlight of this hotel.
Breakfast is ok, the fresh fruit selection is quite limited. Omelettes/pancakes on offer but couldn’t find the chef to make them. Would be nice if there was a clear eating area outside for breakfast.
Room was clean and tidy, having to pay each day for new coffee pods really sets the wrong tone for a 4* hotel, quite odd and never experienced that before.
Gym was small but had good basic equipment. Very close to the beach.

Vila Gale is a small hotel in a nice location about a 3 min walk from a lovely beach. I liked that the hotel is not in a busy town but had a more relaxed vibe. Rooms were nice and there is a pillow menu but you need to ask. Breakfast had many options and everything was fresh. The pool area is beautiful and lunch by the pool was great. It is an easy drive or walk to several restaurants and not too far from Albuferia. I can definitely recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed the fact that the hotel only has 42 rooms. Also, it is outside of the city but so close to the beach. The staff were all amazing and so helpful. Breakfast was included and it had a huge choice of options to choose from. Our favourite hotel during our Portugal trip.

A great place

We had a wonderful experience at Vila Gale Collection Praia. The hotel is perfectly located in a quiet area close to Gale beach. The room was very comfortable and perfectly clean. Breakfast had everything you might want.

All the hotel staff were so friendly and very helpful, I can’t praise them enough. The little things (like offering to bring breakfast to my table) meant so much to me as mobility can be rubbish some days. We never felt that we had to go out and find things to do, just chilling by the pool or relaxing in the jacuzzi was just what we needed. Rooms were very spacious and very clean. Everyone had respect/consideration for each other which made the holiday even more enjoyable and relaxing. We enjoyed it that much that we have booked again for next year for an even longer stay. I really recommend this lovely hotel

For anyone wanting a relaxed and peaceful holiday - this hotel fits the bill. Situated a minute away from a fabulous beach, the hotel is spotless, the staff are amazing -professional and friendly. The food is delicious - breakfast provides everything you would want and the dinners are amazing - love the Sea Bass - compliments to the chef! There is a beautifully maintained pool area with sunlight all day. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and no question that we will go back again.

My husband and I spent our first new year together at the Vale Praia Gale hotel. It’s a spa hotel set a few steps away from the Gale beach. The area is quiet and relaxing. Everything is at your doorstep, the beach, fantastic restaurants, Albufiera, the seven Valleys hike - whatever your heart desires. As for the hotel itself, well it’s just simply superb. The staff are welcoming, generous and very attentive. The room is super comfortable and spacious with views onto the pool and one can see the ocean from the top floor. The breakfast is fantastic and the dinner menu was also super delicious. There’s a gym and spa with a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. One can also book a treatment. Tennis courts, a pool table and a garden/pool area. There’s a bar area separate to the dining area. We had a welcome gift waiting in the room as this is our delayed honeymoon (initial trip cancelled in august due to covid).. they even created space for us and included us in their fully booked New Year celebrations.. there’s a culture of leading from the top with the manager and assistant manager being super attentive and caring not just to guests but also to their staff.. the staff were all so amazing and made our special trip even more special. This is our 4th year in a row at this hotel. What made us come back every year was mainly the great service we had received and the tranquility of the place. The staff working at the hotel were once again excellent and very friendly throughout. There were, however, some aspects that were somewhat disappointing. Our transfer from the airport, which was booked and confirmed twice through the hotel, did not show up meaning we had to get a local taxi from the airport which was considerably more expensive. For us, and what seemed most guests, the room keys only worked periodically — requiring multiple key changes (sometimes in one day). For a quality hotel, the service had certainly deteriorated from previous years. Orders were at times incorrect and often slow to deliver. Some staff appeared inexperienced. On balance, still a lovely place, great location and the staff are exceptionally friendly. The overall quality, however, was not as strong as previous years.

Lovely hotel, adults only. Great location for beach and beach bars. Parking a little difficult when it was busy. The reception staff were outstanding - could not have been more friendly or helpful. Our room had a huge, comfortable bed with a decent bathroom. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. The pool was extremely clean and pleasant with plenty of loungers. The breakfast was OK, hot and cold buffet. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

I was treated rudely and abruptly by one member of staff in the restaurant after I made a simple query about cutlery. He ignored me and was aloof with me that day and the following day. I bumped into the manager and I told him about it and then I found out that he no longer works at the hotel as appartently I was not the only one who found him to be rude. I have been to this hotel before so the lovely staff are Juao, Ricardo, Sara and Catarina. Relaxing tranquil hotel if you are after that type of a break.

Really nice hotel close to the beach.
Complex has excellent swimming pool area and the best rooms have views looking over this area.
Unfortunately the hotel seems to have become a mecca for the smoking set as most of the guests were smokers. This made it rather difficult sitting out on our deck at night, as all our neighbours up, down and sideways were smoking on their decks.
To be fair, there’s a lot of smokers in Spain & Portugal.

What's not to like?

Lovely quiet adults only hotel. Only stayed 2 days but found it fabulous. Staff friendly, helpful and attentive. Would recommend if you want a relaxed chilled break. Bonus is it's close to a great beach too although I am a poolside person it is good to know it's a very short walk to the sea. Rooms had tea making facilities and small fridge....excellent for a tea person like myself. All in all could not fault this little piece of paradise!

We had a wonderful experience at the Vila Galé Praia! The property was quiet and a block from a gorgeous beach. Everything was spotless and we felt that staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast included a good assortment of items and the invitation to sample their wines was lovely. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Small and quiet hotel 3 minutes away from the beach. Great outdoor pool and spa including a large Jacuzzi. Good food and service. Large rooms with a great view. Very good choice for people with mobility problems since everything is near and no stairs. No children allowed under 16 that is one of the reasons for the very quiet and peaceful environment.

Cleverly designed hotel with good pool and tennis.

At first glance the hotel looks no more than one of a row of retail single story outlets. On entry, however, you descend and find that the site is 'hollowed out', but is sufficient to include a large pool, poolside and two tennis courts. It is quite a sun-trap. The staff are pleasant but the speed of service is nothing more than you would find anywhere in Portugal. This was our second visit and both were refreshingly brat-free.

Nice hotel in a peaceful area.

We found the hotel and its staff very calming and enjoyed the peace of our stay. The breakfast choices were good. The hotel was a short walk to a small, secuded, beach area where there was a very nice sea view restaurant to the right. The room was large enough for two and the bed generously sized and very comfortable.

It is located about a ten minute drive to Albufeira centre but, to be honest, we only went there once much preferring the Gale-based restaurants.

A short break to Portugal

This hotel was relaxing from the moment you checked in until you departed, the staff are brilliant in the way they put the customer at the front of everything they do. At check-in to be greeted with a refreshing face cloth and glass of iced tea, made you feel the holiday had well and truly started. The room was well sized and the double bed was the largest I have ever slept in (including trips to USA). Breakfast offered a good mix of healthy and not so healthy alternatives with the added option of ordering freshly made pancakes or omelettes. The facilities (pool, spa, etc.) were maintained to a high standard and continued the relaxing experience that started at check in. This hotel and the team of staff are great ambassadors for the Vale Gale chain of hotels, I will be booking with them again. Also all images truly reflect this hotel and its facilities both in the room and communal areas. Free parking on the main road (although not controlled by the hotel) did not cause any issues.

Lovely hotel, however, a little remote and no activities at the hotel. Food was excellent but very limited range (6 choices of risotto) no specific vegetarian options. Hotel staff very helpful apart from Jose who was very rude and unhelpful.

Staying at the Vila Galè Praia is wonderful.
The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
The food is excellent, and the service great.
The pool area is beautiful and very relaxing, with enough sun loungers for everyone, and plenty of space around them.
The beach is a very short stroll away, and is lovely, with a couple of excellent beach bars.
A great place to stay... what more can I say!

Good Hotel, small bathrooms, poor lighting in hallways, breakfast very repetitive (never changes), parking an issue if you rent a car since no reserved parking for hotel guests you will fight with thousands of beach goers daily especially in peak months.

Peaceful and relaxing week

I stayed here for a week at the beginning of September. The hotel is excellent with helpful and friendly staff. The fact that it is an adult only hotel makes a notable difference, especially around the pool area where you can lie back and relax on the peaceful atmosphere. A short stroke from the beach makes this an ideal location. I would highly recommend this hotel and will happily return in the future.

Nice Hotel, however the location is terrible.

There is nowhere to go and nothing to do or see in the evening and there was no entertainment on at the hotel, no music no singers nothing. We taxied into Albufeira one evening it cost 21 euro. It was very busy and not our cup of tea at all we ate a meal and went back to our hotel again. Loved the peace and quiet, however not all the time, for us anyway.

Nice hotel deceptively close to the beach.

The beach is hidden across the street. The beach runs for miles. Beautiful tranquil spots amongst the rocks.

Hotel is well catered for and has good facilities. Friendly staff.

Lunch takes some time to reach you so don't wait till you're really hungry. Whilst waiting though we sampled their sangria. Went down a treat.

Swimming pool is kept clean and a good layout. Not sure why they have a shallow end as its an adult only hotel. The peace and quiet however is bliss! A massive turkish bath in the spa area.

We used all the facilities in the hotel. A fantastic experience and good memories.

We had an excellent short break. There is not one negative comment I could make.
The hotel was peaceful, all the staff could not do enough for you. The pool was really lovely
There were several beach restaurants within walking distance all the of them were excellent.

Lovely quiet hotel close to the beach

Impressed with early check in and friendly staff. You can request a late check out at an additional cost

I stayed at this lovely relaxing hotel in July it is Adults only and boy do you feel the difference when there are no kids about. It is so quiet and tranquil and if that is the type of holiday or break you are looking for then you will enjoy this hotel. If you are after a noisy busy vibrant place then this is not the hotel for you.

Very nice quiet hotel. with excellent facilities.

Upon arrival at the hotel we were made to feel most welcome by the check in staff.
Overall this is a very good hotel with good facilities with swimming pool, gym and jacuzzi. Only 3 minute walk to the beach.
The hotel, although fully booked was very quiet, just right for a relaxing holiday.
We were on half board basis and the food was excellent and was always freshly prepared. The steaks that we had in the evening were excellent.
For a hotel, the drinks were very reasonably priced.
All the staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome.
The manager, Manuel, went out of his way to enquire how we were enjoying the holiday. Although it wasn't on the menu when I mentioned that I had never tried 'Cataplana' ( a traditional Portuguese dish), he arranged for it to be served to us on our last night there.
For anybody wishing a quiet relaxing holiday with good facilities and excellent food then I would recommend the Vila Gale Praia.

Loved this hotel, it was perfect for a couple, our stay was very relaxing and the staff were very helpful. The pool area was never overcrowded. Breakfast was also very nice with a good variety.

Great hotel very close to Gale beach but no direct access. Everything was very clean and comfortable and the staff was really nice! Very good breakfast though not amazing. I recommend going with a car so that you can enjoy beautiful beaches that are half an hour away.
The pool and spa are amazing!

Lovely place

Second visit and still love the quiet location, friendly staff and facilities.

Only let down was a much more restricted menu (which we understand is being changed) food quality good but just too little choice! We will be back but may eat out if the menu doesn't change.

Please note a great location and hotel for couples and adults for a relaxing time. Not one if you are expecting night life or lots of noise.

Quiet hotel next to the beach

Arrived in the evening. Check-in smooth. Beautiful room, great bed, great sheets. Hotel pool is great and the beach is right at the end of the street, 2 minute walk (less over the dunes). Quiet - away from all of the hubbub of Albufeira, but you can get there easily. Plenty of parking. Nice full breakfast from eggs to pastry. Had a snack in the bar (great) but didn't use the restaurant - lots of other choices nearby.

Lovely very close to the beach and wonderful staff

This was a last minute booking as I needed somewhere to relax and de-stress. I was not disappointed. I was only there for a a few days but the location was great and the staff were so wonderful. They remember the little details like how you have your breakfast every morning - in my case after my tea I need a coffee. There wasn't anything I could fault. I didn't venture into the old or new town cause I just needed somewhere to recharge. There is a spa on site and the treatments were great - there was a discount while I was there. With the beach only 2 minutes away I was able to go there every day and take nice long walks. I was travelling alone but at no point was I concerned about my safety.

Immaculate hotel, good food, excellent value, 2 mins from beach and exceptional service. Would thoroughly recommend to couples looking for a quiet trip away. Plenty to do and only 10 mins taxi to the Old Town.
