The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ate at Surfcaster and Florabelle on site restaurants as well as Marche Burette-all excellent dining options. Oceanfront room and balcony were a highlight for us to enjoy the ocean breezes and sunrise views. We were content to enjoy the pool, shops, and walks without ever going offsite. Great stay!

We know the hotel can't control the weather, but we were surprised by the lack of effort to offer some kid friendly activities with 4 straight days of rain.
Other issues we encountered:
1) our shower looked like it was never cleaned. The same 2 pieces of hair were stuck on the tile when we arrived and left. Lots of mold too.
2) my husband took my tween daughters to the gym with him (since we were all going stir crazy from the 3rd straight day of rain!) They were rudely informed at the desk that the girls were not allowed to work out and would have to sit and watch my husband.
3) the indoor pool had several leaks in the ceiling, along with lots of dead geckos. We tried to get lunch afterwards, but pretty much every restaurant (besides the pizza place and pool restaurant) was closed. Ended up having a long wait for a table at Surfcaster. One food runner spilled a plate of chips on my husband and all over the floor and mumbled "I'll come back to clean that up" but never did. Then after waiting 35 mins for our cocktails, we were told the beverage ticket blew away and glasses broke, so that's why there was a long wait.
4) the refrigerator in our room was broken
5) the toilet in my daughters' room only occasionally flushed.
6) lots of maintenance needed in our "hallway". The "Exit" sign was broken broken and hanging my a thread. There were old beverage glasses (not ours!) sitting outside our room for 2 days. A champagne flute fell over and broke. Used qtips scattered

We recently stayed at this property and, unfortunately, it did not meet expectations—especially for the price point.

The room itself felt old and dated, and the shower design was particularly frustrating. You have to step inside to turn it on, which is far from ideal when traveling with young kids. Additionally, the walls were quite thin—we could clearly hear our neighbor’s TV throughout our stay.

We ordered breakfast to the room one morning, and it was shockingly overpriced at $95 for a very basic meal (kids’ eggs and biscuit with sausage, a Coke, two chocolate milks, and a yogurt). The kids’ breakfast was inedible, though I will say the yogurt was beautifully presented and genuinely good.

While some amenities were appealing, there were several disappointments. Charging extra for beach chairs feels unreasonable at this level, and the umbrellas provided were poor quality. The pool deck also lacked cleanliness—there were chicken fingers left on the ground overnight and even someone’s press-on nails left on a table the next day.

On the positive side, the location is convenient to nearby restaurants, and there were a few highlights for kids, including the egg hunt, nature center, and mini golf (though the pricing for mini golf was also excessive).

Overall, while there are some redeeming qualities, we would not choose to stay here again. It simply did not feel worth the cost.

We booked an oceanfront room but were initially placed in a pool-front room with only a slight ocean view. It wasn’t what we paid for, and we were only moved after raising the issue, which was frustrating and not how a stay should start.

That said, once we were in the correct room, the stay itself was nice. The property is well-maintained and has a lot to offer. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate during our visit, so we weren’t able to fully enjoy the amenities.

The resort fees also felt unnecessary, especially given that we couldn’t take advantage of much due to the weather.

Overall, a nice property, but the room mix-up and added fees took away from the experience.

The staff was incredible from the beginning to end! We spent a long girls weekend celebrating a birthday and they made the birthday girl feel special throughout! They prepared the room decorations just as I had hoped! The food throughout the property was delicious and the server Kelli K in the lobby lounge was THE BEST! She made us feel like family! We will definitely be making this an annual trip!

Although the weather did not cooperate, the purpose of the bistro the Amelia Island Omni was a conference so did not need to go out into the cold and rain. There were still spectacular views of the Ocean at sunrise. Staff an amenities were first rate.

Went off season in January, so the weather wasn’t conducive to using the pool but it’s a beautiful property. They were undergoing renovation but it didn’t impact our stay. The other highlight of the property was service. Everyone I encountered from the valet, front desk, restaurant staff etc provided phenomenal service. Whether it was a pricier experience like Bob’s and Nona’s or a more casual dining experience at The Falcon’s Nest or Surfcaster, the; the food and service were exceptional. Definitely recommend.

The property was huge! Upon arrival at check in we were told that there was a $150/day hold for incidentals which is way too high. After visiting the bar restaurant, I understood why, everything is either charged to your room or you have to pay with credit card, NO CASH.I wish I would have known prior to arrival. The property was nice, but the weather was very cold, so we could not use the outdoor pool. We wanted to use indoor pool, but you had to drive or take a shuttle. Property too massive for my liking.

The resort is old and tired. We waited almost 2 hours for our room to be clean even though we didn't check in until almost 4 PM. There was a horrible sewage smell in the lobby. They gave us a room near a maid's closet, and we were woken up every morning by the metal rolling wheels of the linen carts on the concrete back-and-forth in front of our door. Everywhere we looked. Things were falling apart. Don't waste money on this "resort". Anything but a relaxing getaway.

Common areas are pristine, rooms in the hotel itself seemed below par for the price. Shower water pressure was extremely low but the sink was like a pressure washer, confusing? Sound transfers easily between rooms overhearing others conversations. Rooms were not ready until over an hour after check-in, did get comp’d a couple drinks at the bar for the delay. Overall great experience outside of the room.

We stayed last year and returned after having a nice time. The complex is large and beautiful. Checked into our room, dirty and pillows are flat, need to be replaced. Had to have housekeeping come clean bath floor that had hairs and fuzzies. Also no shower soap. One small bar of hand soap for three day stay. No cleaning on our last day. Was also charged over $60 for bar visit we didn’t do. Had to dispute. We are a bit disappointed in our stay and lack of care we received.

A few things...
1) we got completely lost trying to get to our hotel room. The signage for the rooms is sparse and unclear. Perhaps you can put a sign on the sidewalk as you exit the old main lobby.
2)the walk from the parking garage to the room is very far. It would be helpful to have someone in a golf cart driving people from the garage to the hotel. Or let people know that valet is a much better option bc of the distance.
3) there were no cleaning wipes in the gym. Unsanitary.
4) I was told I am in a "newly renovated" room but I don't think it is finished being renovated.
The toilet is not working properly. You flush, it doesn't flush, you try again it might work, you wait and then maybe it flushes. Or you wait some more.
The faucet in the tub is coming out of the wall when you lift the knob on top so you have to hold the faucet and pull otherwise the faucet just pulls up out of the wall with the knob.
There are no hooks to hang towels in the bathroom. It looks like they forgot to put the hooks back on. The smell of paint in the bathroom is nauseating.
The back porch is filthy as were the table and chairs.
I understand you are undergoing renovations, and one thing I can overlook, 2 maybe, but on and on is just not okay.
I honestly felt like I was staying at a comfort inn

This property is under extensive renovation. There are loud noises all day long, workers painting all over the exterior, and large boxes and equipment on all levels. The elevator in the parking garage is closed and requires a long walk to the resort. Our experience was not good.

This is a fabulous resort with outstanding service, gorgeous views and beautifully decorated for the holidays. The grounds are large and have everything right there from shops to a variety of restaurants to 18 hole putt putt golf all in walking distance. My family and I will be back.

Very nice property. Is a little dated but well maintained. One adult pool and one bigger pool for all public - all with heated water. Staff is excellent - very available and ready to help. The area is walkable and has a beautiful beach as well as trail through the island. Plenty of options to fish, shop, rent bikes etc. My only disappointment is that several of the dining options were closed ( and then one of the one not closed was privatized over the week end) and there was no prior warning of that when we booked. We ended up going to Fernandina beach a couple of nights which we enjoyed. The dinner options that were open were good. Overall great stay - would comeback!

A little disappointed when we walked in to our Ocean front room. It overlooked what they called the Taco Hut. We did get a room change but not to a king as there were not any available.
First morning we woke up to no power. So took a shower in the dark. Luckily it did come back on a couple of hours later.
I will say all the staff were very friendly. Especially Kayla who served us at the pool and Florabella.

Stayed here for a business trip. The view to the beach was amazing. The place is so peaceful and the staff is so respectful. I will definitely go back again but next time with my family so they can enjoy everything the Omni has to offer like the 36 oz steak!

We celebrated an anniversary at the Omni Resort and SPA. The property is beautiful. Please note they are doing some renovations, which did not detract from our stay. Client service is excellent from the moment that you arrive. Our room had been renovated and was beautiful. All rooms at the Omni have a direct view of the Atlantic. The pool area is spacious with plenty of lounge chairs available and affords direct access to the beach. Wait staff is readily available to take your drink and snack order while lounging. The landscape at the Omni is mature and beautiful throughout the grounds and around the pool.. It is a perfect choice for a relaxing gettaway and we would highly recommend it.

We absolutely loved our stay this weekend at the Omni. The staff were great and the grounds were outstanding. Our only hitch was our shower was broken. The handle was broken and water would not flow. We did not notice until after 10, and it took several minutes for someone to answer the phone; we had to call from an external cell to reach someone. Still, they sent engineering and had it fixed in about 20 minutes. Some of those things are unavoidable. Regardless, our issue was resolved. We plan on returning!
