The resort is amazing! The grounds are beautiful…..lush foliage, trees draped with moss, and lots of paths and walkways to explore! The infinity adult pool is amazing as well as the massive family pool! Lots of lounge chairs, cabanas, and towels are provided. The rooms are spacious with balconies overlooking the pools and ocean. The entire staff ~ parking attendants, bellhops, receptionists, waitstaff, bartenders, pool attendants, etc ~ all were very professional and hospitable and ready to assist in any way possible! I highly recommend the Omni Resort Amelia Island! You won’t be disappointed!

The property is nice. The spa was fantastic. We did a couples massage for our 25th anniversary. It was sublime. Mamosas and chocolate covered strawberries included. Time are well maintained and staff was helpful with any issues we ran into. There were some renovations going on while we we're there which took away from the ambience. All in all we enjoyed our stay and the property amenities.

I've never been in a hotel where housekeeping hasn't left a few rolls of toilet paper. The day before we left, she didn't leave toilet paper, and we ran out in the middle of the night and had to use kleenex.
Our room was way to far from the lobby. It took us more than 10 minutes to walk to the elevator to the lobby every time.
One section of elevators wasn't working. The detour signs took us no where. After about 5 minutes, a staff member led us through the garage and through multiple staff areas to get us back to our room.
No one was overly friendly.
The coffee shop in the main building was out of so many things it was ridiculous.
The kiosk by the pool with things for kids was way over priced. We did the tie dying - $25 for a kids t-shirt that they squirted a few colors on and were done. Whole experience was under 2 minutes. Then we were given our wet shirts in a baggie. Nothing special about it.
Everyone had their hand out for a tip. I am a generous tipper but I don't think I should be expected to tip, e.g., the girl who made the $7 snow cones. She put ice in a cup and syrup and handed it to us - tip???? The hotel was pretty, the view from the room was great, we were lucky to have small waves for the kids. I've been around the world - this isn't a place I'd highly recommend.

We know the hotel can't control the weather, but we were surprised by the lack of effort to offer some kid friendly activities with 4 straight days of rain.
Other issues we encountered:
1) our shower looked like it was never cleaned. The same 2 pieces of hair were stuck on the tile when we arrived and left. Lots of mold too.
2) my husband took my tween daughters to the gym with him (since we were all going stir crazy from the 3rd straight day of rain!) They were rudely informed at the desk that the girls were not allowed to work out and would have to sit and watch my husband.
3) the indoor pool had several leaks in the ceiling, along with lots of dead geckos. We tried to get lunch afterwards, but pretty much every restaurant (besides the pizza place and pool restaurant) was closed. Ended up having a long wait for a table at Surfcaster. One food runner spilled a plate of chips on my husband and all over the floor and mumbled \"I'll come back to clean that up\" but never did. Then after waiting 35 mins for our cocktails, we were told the beverage ticket blew away and glasses broke, so that's why there was a long wait.
4) the refrigerator in our room was broken
5) the toilet in my daughters' room only occasionally flushed.
6) lots of maintenance needed in our \"hallway\". The \"Exit\" sign was broken broken and hanging my a thread. There were old beverage glasses (not ours!) sitting outside our room for 2 days. A champagne flute fell over and broke. Used qtips scattered

We recently stayed at this property and, unfortunately, it did not meet expectations—especially for the price point.

The room itself felt old and dated, and the shower design was particularly frustrating. You have to step inside to turn it on, which is far from ideal when traveling with young kids. Additionally, the walls were quite thin—we could clearly hear our neighbor’s TV throughout our stay.

We ordered breakfast to the room one morning, and it was shockingly overpriced at $95 for a very basic meal (kids’ eggs and biscuit with sausage, a Coke, two chocolate milks, and a yogurt). The kids’ breakfast was inedible, though I will say the yogurt was beautifully presented and genuinely good.

While some amenities were appealing, there were several disappointments. Charging extra for beach chairs feels unreasonable at this level, and the umbrellas provided were poor quality. The pool deck also lacked cleanliness—there were chicken fingers left on the ground overnight and even someone’s press-on nails left on a table the next day.

On the positive side, the location is convenient to nearby restaurants, and there were a few highlights for kids, including the egg hunt, nature center, and mini golf (though the pricing for mini golf was also excessive).

Overall, while there are some redeeming qualities, we would not choose to stay here again. It simply did not feel worth the cost.

We booked an oceanfront room but were initially placed in a pool-front room with only a slight ocean view. It wasn’t what we paid for, and we were only moved after raising the issue, which was frustrating and not how a stay should start.

That said, once we were in the correct room, the stay itself was nice. The property is well-maintained and has a lot to offer. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate during our visit, so we weren’t able to fully enjoy the amenities.

The resort fees also felt unnecessary, especially given that we couldn’t take advantage of much due to the weather.

Overall, a nice property, but the room mix-up and added fees took away from the experience.

The property was huge! Upon arrival at check in we were told that there was a $150/day hold for incidentals which is way too high. After visiting the bar restaurant, I understood why, everything is either charged to your room or you have to pay with credit card, NO CASH.I wish I would have known prior to arrival. The property was nice, but the weather was very cold, so we could not use the outdoor pool. We wanted to use indoor pool, but you had to drive or take a shuttle. Property too massive for my liking.

The resort is old and tired. We waited almost 2 hours for our room to be clean even though we didn't check in until almost 4 PM. There was a horrible sewage smell in the lobby. They gave us a room near a maid's closet, and we were woken up every morning by the metal rolling wheels of the linen carts on the concrete back-and-forth in front of our door. Everywhere we looked. Things were falling apart. Don't waste money on this \"resort\". Anything but a relaxing getaway.

A few things...
1) we got completely lost trying to get to our hotel room. The signage for the rooms is sparse and unclear. Perhaps you can put a sign on the sidewalk as you exit the old main lobby.
2)the walk from the parking garage to the room is very far. It would be helpful to have someone in a golf cart driving people from the garage to the hotel. Or let people know that valet is a much better option bc of the distance.
3) there were no cleaning wipes in the gym. Unsanitary.
4) I was told I am in a \"newly renovated\" room but I don't think it is finished being renovated.
The toilet is not working properly. You flush, it doesn't flush, you try again it might work, you wait and then maybe it flushes. Or you wait some more.
The faucet in the tub is coming out of the wall when you lift the knob on top so you have to hold the faucet and pull otherwise the faucet just pulls up out of the wall with the knob.
There are no hooks to hang towels in the bathroom. It looks like they forgot to put the hooks back on. The smell of paint in the bathroom is nauseating.
The back porch is filthy as were the table and chairs.
I understand you are undergoing renovations, and one thing I can overlook, 2 maybe, but on and on is just not okay.
I honestly felt like I was staying at a comfort inn

The area is walkable and has a beautiful beach as well as trail through the island. Plenty of options to fish, shop, rent bikes etc. My only disappointment is that several of the dining options were closed ( and then one of the one not closed was privatized over the week end) and there was no prior warning of that when we booked. We ended up going to Fernandina beach a couple of nights which we enjoyed. The dinner options that were open were good. Overall great stay - would comeback!
