This is a quite the gem for the price. Next door is the Elizabeth Point Inn which is swankier but for half the price I really liked this convenient, nice, on the beach motel.

I had a pool side room, but you could see the beach from it as well. The room was super clean; bathroom was nicely supplied. Bed was ok, wasn't the best but definitely not the worst. Breakfast had several options from cereal, bagels, toast, eggs, sausage, waffles etc. The breakfast area was very clean. Hotel is on the beach; parking is tight but always had a space available. The beach was clean, not very crowded. I stayed three days prior to the fourth. I cannot wait to go back. There is a restaurant right beside the hotel which was very good. They have a roof top seating area that had the most beautiful view. Sunrise or sunset...Staff was polite and helpful when you needed anything.

My big problem with the stay and probably will make me hesitant about staying there again was the limited parking (which we had to pay for). Coming back to the hotel on 2 occasions we were fortunate to find the last spot. Had it been filled there was no other place to park without getting towed.

disappointed that the description of the property didn't specify that you have to rent the beach chairs and umbrella from a vendor for $50 a day- thought that was an excessive amount especially having to reserve them the night before-so if it rains-too bad for you. Also ridiculous is that you have to pay $15 parking fee when there are a lot of empty spots-another rule the hotel just implemented=they will charge you $25 if you don't return the beach/pool towels by 10 PM-because they say people don't return them. Room and bathroom were really small-hardly enough room for two people-don't think I will be returning.

Location, Location, Location. Walk right out on to the beach. We had lunch on the beach and then dinner later that night within walking distance of the hotel. Beach was beautiful. Rooms were showing some wear and tear but the bed was comfortable and it was adequate size. Too much outside street noise on the west side of the property but everything shuts down at 10 so it wasn't an issue at night. Staff was great. Check in however socks. Its at 4 and if you arrive earlier they want to up charge for early check in. Even if its only an hour early. Waited 30 minutes in line for check in at 4. They didn't offer me a discount for late check in so maybe they could revisit the early check in fee. If we can't be early then they shouldn't be late. Its a nice place and overall great experience. I would stay again.

The staff were friendly however they charged me for my service dog. When I brought it to the attention of staff the next morning she said a credit had to be done by the manager who was the person who checked us in and she would leave her a note. I never heard anything from her explaining why there would not be a credit.
The breakfast was nothing special having the standard powder eggs, the waffle mix was in small containers and empty on day one, the biscuits were hard as a rock on the bottom.
The room was comfortable and clean with partial ocean view with a small balcony.

Very nice location on the beach. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. My only complaint was that my room advertised a freezer and a sitting chair which it did not have. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I will return for sure.

Amazing experience! Very convenient to walk over to the beach. As you return there are wash stations. The building and rooms were clean. Breakfast, coffee and sitting area was excellent. You can tell that the salt wears and tears on property. But that’s what happens when you are steps away from the beach. Overall will stay again. BTW… Wash your car after your stay. It will be covered in salt.

Very nice place to stay! Location was great with the beach right there, food options, shopping for incidentals and novelties nearby, close to downtown, and an open space for the kiddos. We enjoyed the beach for a while and then stayed at the pool until dinner. The staff was helpful, and the hotel was older but in great shape. We enjoyed the lounging area around the pool with a morning coffee.

Staff is exceptional, making sure all of our needs were delivered. Breakfast fresh and delicious with several options. Location is also great with a good pool. Coffee and tea available 24hs. Room spacious. I've stayed on the ground floor room with access to the pool, which was a great option and bigger room with a separate living room

The location was convenient for most of what I wanted to do. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is right on the beach, but due to that there were often people hanging out in the parking lot smoking near by etc... My room was fine; a bit awkward but fine for one person. The bathroom had many extras and storage which was nice. My windows faced the beach, but one whole side was blurred/smudged out I guess from being old. My room was near the elevator and it was very loud both nights. Sounded like many drunk people in the hallway. The breakfast and amenities were disappointing. The parking area was ok, but you are charged for it. I would pay a little more to stay somewhere else next time.

this was our second stay at the property and it was I expected. the reservation system was still not as helpful with regard to the room descriptions. we reserved a room that had a view of the ocean from our room. but no balcony, so the experience was not exactly what I wanted... windows could not be opened, so water could not be heard. Windows are facing the ocean, so they were covered with salt spray so the view was not very good even though we were looking directly at the water.

We appreciated the complimentary breakfast, the afternoon snacks and water and the 24 hour coffee and tea bar. The location is perfect, beachfront. With volleyball, miniature golf and a playground next door. The area is low key and relaxed. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

The front desk at check in and check out was rude with zero personality for her position .... The room was furnished with cheap \"yard sale\" pieces...The view was obscured by the window that haven't been cleaned in who knows how long....The breakfast was basic cheap quality bacon, cheap sausage , premixed scrambled eggs and the coffee machine is ridiculous ...Yes, I was very disappointed especially for the price paid ....Cheap motel vibe !

Stay was a series of hits and misses. Hits included the fancy coffee machine and water bottle filling machine in the breakfast area. Snacks and bottles of complimentary water in the lobby. Pleasant staff. Location of hotel to the beach. Misses included tiny “suites” room (#323) loosely called a suite. Carpeting in hotel should have been replaced 20 years ago. Tiny balcony with tiny plastic chairs. Lack of parking. Lack of restaurants within walking distance. Overall our stay was ok, but not sure we would return to Fernandina Island.

They are really trying to keep lipstick on the pig. Breakfast was no better or worse than any other continental. Private rooftop was probably the coolest thing about the hotel. Local is cool but there are newer places on the west side id probably stay at next time. My biggest complaint is the old, hard mattress and other cheap dirty furniture. Otherwise the room is setup weird. The larger TV is in front of a couch NOBODY wants to sit on, and the one for the bed is tiny. Oceanfront fees for trailer park digs basically.

I liked the room. Like the layout of the partial view balcony, which had a bed near the door, the bath and in a separate area- the pull out couch. It provided some privacy if the pull out couch was used.
If it were my property, I would spend $100 per room for a foam mattress topper. The bed was rock hard.
I would spend another $100 per bath, for a hand shower to replace the very high mounted sprayer. If you are not 6 foot tall or do not want to wash your hair - good luck.
Otherwise - I would return to the property!

Such a lovely small boutique hotel. Breakfast was included and was a great way to start the day. I wish I had had more time to enjoy the beach. Don't miss the observation deck. It is small but provides a great opportunity to see up and down the beach.

The common areas were cleaned daily and in good condition but the room was terrible. House keeping is not done daily and they say they’re done every third day but they didn’t clean our room one time throughout the entire 6 night stay. They only took out our trash and gave new towels when specifically requested but didn’t. Hangs the sheets / clean the bathroom / even wipe counters down even though someone from housekeeping told me they specifically were going to do a full clean that day.
We were traveling with our newborn and I didn’t feel clean the entire time we were there and we ended up just leaving a night early because it was so upsetting and we couldn’t take it anymore.
It wasn’t utterly filthy but it just gave the vibes that they don’t really clean that well between guests either and that was not the experience we paid for.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is literally steps from the ocean and a great beach bar/restaurant. It's also very conveniently located close to the historic downtown of Fernandina Beach. It's just a short drive or Uber. The only downside of this hotel is that the rooms are on the smaller side. The bathroom and shower were quite small, and the balcony barely had enough room for two small chairs. But, we didn't spend much time in the room so that was not an issue. Friendly staff. Free bottled water and snacks. Morning breakfast was pretty standard.

I thought the breakfast last Fri and Sat was really awful. The grits or whatever that was were greasy and the fruit wasn ‘t cold. Hard to get in or out of the shower and the air conditioner makes way way way too much noise.

I only stayed one night passing through on my way back to SC. I was in a partial oceanview which was excellent! It was on the side of the hotel but the ocean is so close that it didnt feel \"partial\". The breakfast was kind of gross tbh (the usual weird scrambled eggs, dried out waffles and bacon, etc) but the rest of the place was nice and made up for it. Parking is free and very convenient in an attached underground parking garage, Sandbar Restaurant next door was awesome and the beach is so close you could throw a rock at it. Great place!

Nice touch with 24-hour hot beverage machine with lots of coffe, etc. choices. Beach out front is wide and flat, perfect for all beach-goers. Staff was very nice and property was very clean and maintained. Well done! This was our first time to Amelia Island. We plan to return and would certainly stay again at the Amelia Seaside Inn!

We did have a view of the beach and ocean from our 3rd floor room. This is a location on the north end of the island and extremely convenient to the historic downtown area. This isn't the Ritz Carlton but we loved our stay here.
