The room was not clean. There were peanuts on the floor by the bed. Thank goodness we didn't have any peanut allergies. Commode had not been cleaned for awhile. Brown stained inside of it. We had to get linens for pull out sofa from front desk. None in room not even pillows. Commode seat was cracked. Built up dust on furniture. The pool chairs were very worn and several had mildew stains. Staff was Slow replenishing pool towels. No creamer for coffee one of the mornings we ate breakfast. We stayed here twice and didn't have these complaints. I reported all of this to front desk staff upon checking out. We may choose a different place on our next visit to Amelia Island.

If you stay here, be prepared not to sleep. Kids were running and screaming in the hallways late into the night without any adult supervision. When I complained to the front desk, the staff member just shrugged her shoulders as if there was nothing she could do. The lack of concern and failure to address the noise made for a very disappointing stay.

This was an outstanding stay, like an all enclosed resort experience. some points to improve:
1. breakfast not so good, i got a little sick
2. affordable drinks should be more readily available...there's a pizza place, but they dont have drinks?
3 $16 parking almost chased me away (no valet?) but i would have forfeited my Expedia payment.

Thank you, i will def. stay again!

I really enjoyed my stay at this location. I booked a suite with two queen beds and a seating/office area. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. My only issue with the room was that the thermostat was programmed to not go below 65 degrees and would go into a \"sleeper mode\" at night to conserve energy. Being that we were third floor, in June, the room was a little warm and took a while to cool down when we arrived.

The breakfast was decent. It consisted of the standard scrambled eggs, sausage patties, fruit, bread assortments, etc. However, the hot coffee was really good and the staff were all very friendly and they kept the eating area very clean.

Tides bar and grille (outside by the pool) was a tad disappointing. We ordered three different meals and they were just kind of \"ok\" for the price. Our drinks were tasty but there wasn't much alcohol in them, which was disappointing since we paid about $14 a drink. However, the pool area was inviting and the service was great. It wasn't bad--it just wasn't great.

The pool was surprisingly very shallow. The majority of the pool is between 3-4 feet deep which did not leave a lot of room for swimming. The adults all kind of huddled in the back perimeter because it was deeper. It's great for kids, but not so much for adults.

Overall, the location was spectacular. The rooms were nice. The staff was nice. I would stay again.

This hotel (Spring Hill Suites) was very new and clean. The pool was lovely, and the hot tub was perfect, especially at night. We had the free breakfast each day and were happy they had oat milk for our coffee, which was excellent, very strong! The breakfast was simple but decent.
The staff were very friendly. Our room was large with a cute balcony. The only reason I’m
giving it 4 stars is because when we asked for fresh towels and a garbage pick up after the first day, we never got them and had to go down and get them ourselves. We were told to put the towels and trash in the hall for pick up, and they sat there for like 18 hrs. We were out of toiletries and toilet paper and didn’t receive those when the room was serviced on day 3. We left the next day, so we just made do.
Another perk, the hotel is just a few minutes walk from the beach! It’s also right across the street from Fort Clinch and next to Egan’s Creek Trail (walking distance). Both are well worth the time! Overall, we had a great vacation and would stay again.

We booked a King with a Sofa bed. We travel frequently and bring a padded mattress cover for our daughter to use on the sofa beds in rooms set up such as this one was. The sofa bed mattress was the absolute worst we ever encountered. She ended up lining the couch cushions atop the mattress, then layering the mattress pad and sheet on top of the cushions. It was uncomfortable still, but laying on the bed (even with the padded cover we brought) hurt her back after just a few minutes. Sofa beds are notoriously not great, but this one needs to be replaced. It shouldn't be listed as having a sofa bed if it isn't actually usable.

There are two primary reasons I rated this property 3 out of 5 stars. The room and facilities were very nice. However, this is a Springhill Suites, not a Motel 6. I did not expect to hear my neighbors walking on the floor above me, nor did I expect to hear them using the bathroom. This is not what I expect from a well-respected, higher-end chain like Springhill Suites. The other reason I am not completely happy is the parking fees. I knew about the $15/day parking when I reserved the room, but to charge the full amount for the day you check in (which is late) and the day you check out (which is early) is unacceptable. When I see companies screwing their customers like this, I make a point of not returning.

Room was clean, but the mini refrigerator was not a refrigerator like what was in description. You had to keep
Pressing a button every 2 hours for it cool. The TV would not let us use our fire stick and to sign in on a hotel tv is NOT secure. The breakfast was lacking and staff was rude. The lights in the room made no sense. You could not use the bed light unless the desk light was on. I will not be staying in a Marriott hotel again.

Everything was excellent with the exception of the breakfast buffet considering the room rate. Sparse and cheap best describe the buffet which consisted of cold scrambled eggs, over cooked sausage patties and clumpy oatmeal. Only fruit offered were a few bananas and the bread selection was also limited. There were two waffle irons available but the crowd of people trying to cook something hot for their children made the wait too long. For a Marriott property I found this buffet substandard.

I booked the room for the Amelia Concours. While the stay was relatively pleasant and uneventful, there were a few issues. There were many pros but as many cons. This review highlights the painpoints.

Where they skimped was the bath towels - felt like sandpaper. You'd think a hotel like Marriott would spend a little more for better, softer towels, but that's not the case. I'm sure that was an accountant's decision.

Room cleanliness - not entirely clean because I found disgusting nail clippings on the balcony. Quite gross.

Wardrobe - not enough room to hang all my shirts, polos and suits. There also wasn't a place to hang my suit outside of the wardrobe. There also wasn't a foldable suitcase rack to put my second suitcase on.

Breakfast was average but appreciated. Except when there wasn't any hot water, the staffer didn't come out to replenish the thermos. I waited 15 minutes for her to do so before I left in frustration.

This last one is a big one. I had left two expensive items behind by accident in the nightstand drawer and called the next day to retrieve them. I called 4 times during the week to housekeeping and the manager. NO RESPONSE. I finally sent an email to customer care. One response, NO FOLLOWUP. Nice hotel except the customer service and the points I mentioned is severely lacking to complete a better experience.

If there's another option to stay in the area, I'd suggest going elsewhere to try it out. Springhill won't be my first choice.

Nice, newer hotel with a spacious room and a great location. However, the check-in experience wasn’t very welcoming—it felt rushed and a bit impersonal. For the price, I expected a higher level of service and overall experience. The added parking fee also felt like an unnecessary upcharge. I would consider staying again if the nightly rate were more reasonable.

The staff was great, however I took a shower and when I got out and started drying my face off, there was a sand spur stuck in the towel and it ripped my nose open. My husband and I went down to the front desk to tell them what happened and to and for some antibacterial medication as we didn’t have any. They provided the medicine took pictures of the towel with the sand spur buried in it surrounded by my blood. Long story short no one called for the rest of our stay to ask “ hey did your face fall off” nothing at all was ever mentioned and I just thought it was bad form. The hotel is beautiful don’t get me wrong, stay here just check all of your towels. J.Duran

Pros:

Location! Easy walk to the beach with young kids and all the beach stuff

Pool — heated and large. It was a little chilly on a 60 degree day but kids still had fun

Parking was extra but convenient

Cons:

Breakfast was so awful - I was surprised after reading other reviews but the eggs were cold and worse than tasteless - truly the worst I’ve ever had - no meats on some days, overcrowded, they were constantly running out of things (coffee, yogurt, cereal, plates) that took forever or did not get refilled and there were always lines and it was a pretty small area. Next time we’ll look at booking the adjoining hotel (a Courtyard property, same pool) without the included breakfast. It has a restaurant and a Starbucks on site.

Housekeeping was scheduled for our second day only and much needed after multiple days at the beach but they didn’t show until 4 PM when we were in the room with nowhere to go with tired kids (rain).

The hotel needs to change its coffe purculators and dispensing warmers as the coffee was never above a warm temperature even when brought out freshly brewed.
