This property obviously has changed management and lowered the property’s standard….. landscaping is not being taken care of…. Registration staff is poorly trained….. art has been removed from corridors…. Hall carpets and walls are dirty….. no wait staff at pool…. Air conditioning in. Springhill reception area was 7 degrees hotter…. Senior management needs to be replaced at this property

This is our third time overall, first time at Springhill (the other times were with courtyard). Love the place. However, the room was not as clean as I expected. I found hair in the towels upon arrival. Other than that, great place. Can’t wait to go back for spring break next year

Everything was excellent with the exception of the breakfast buffet considering the room rate. Sparse and cheap best describe the buffet which consisted of cold scrambled eggs, over cooked sausage patties and clumpy oatmeal. Only fruit offered were a few bananas and the bread selection was also limited. There were two waffle irons available but the crowd of people trying to cook something hot for their children made the wait too long. For a Marriott property I found this buffet substandard.

We enjoyed our stay at Springhill for one night. The location is amazing and we were able to easily walk to the beach. Our room was clean and we had plenty of space. The only disappointment was that the shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the shower were completely empty…. Zilch. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

I booked the room for the Amelia Concours. While the stay was relatively pleasant and uneventful, there were a few issues. There were many pros but as many cons. This review highlights the painpoints.

Where they skimped was the bath towels - felt like sandpaper. You'd think a hotel like Marriott would spend a little more for better, softer towels, but that's not the case. I'm sure that was an accountant's decision.

Room cleanliness - not entirely clean because I found disgusting nail clippings on the balcony. Quite gross.

Wardrobe - not enough room to hang all my shirts, polos and suits. There also wasn't a place to hang my suit outside of the wardrobe. There also wasn't a foldable suitcase rack to put my second suitcase on.

Breakfast was average but appreciated. Except when there wasn't any hot water, the staffer didn't come out to replenish the thermos. I waited 15 minutes for her to do so before I left in frustration.

This last one is a big one. I had left two expensive items behind by accident in the nightstand drawer and called the next day to retrieve them. I called 4 times during the week to housekeeping and the manager. NO RESPONSE. I finally sent an email to customer care. One response, NO FOLLOWUP. Nice hotel except the customer service and the points I mentioned is severely lacking to complete a better experience.

If there's another option to stay in the area, I'd suggest going elsewhere to try it out. Springhill won't be my first choice.

Nice, newer hotel with a spacious room and a great location. However, the check-in experience wasn’t very welcoming—it felt rushed and a bit impersonal. For the price, I expected a higher level of service and overall experience. The added parking fee also felt like an unnecessary upcharge. I would consider staying again if the nightly rate were more reasonable.

The rooms are okay. A bit tired. Our room carried an odor that said pets have stayed there before...
That being said the staff was very helpful and the location is wonderful. Fort clinch state Park (directly across the street) is beautiful and we spent two full days there (2A &4kids). There is a great playground not far from the hotel and great eating places. We loved Tastys (burgers) and Arte pizza!!

The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The staff was great, however I took a shower and when I got out and started drying my face off, there was a sand spur stuck in the towel and it ripped my nose open. My husband and I went down to the front desk to tell them what happened and to and for some antibacterial medication as we didn’t have any. They provided the medicine took pictures of the towel with the sand spur buried in it surrounded by my blood. Long story short no one called for the rest of our stay to ask “ hey did your face fall off” nothing at all was ever mentioned and I just thought it was bad form. Location! Easy walk to the beach with young kids and all the beach stuff

Pool — heated and large. It was a little chilly on a 60 degree day but kids still had fun

Parking was extra but convenient

Cons:

Breakfast was so awful - I was surprised after reading other reviews but the eggs were cold and worse than tasteless - truly the worst I’ve ever had - no meats on some days, overcrowded, they were constantly running out of things (coffee, yogurt, cereal, plates) that took forever or did not get refilled and there were always lines and it was a pretty small area. Next time we’ll look at booking the adjoining hotel (a Courtyard property, same pool) without the included breakfast. It has a restaurant and a Starbucks on site.

Housekeeping was scheduled for our second day only and much needed after multiple days at the beach but they didn’t show until 4 PM when we were in the room with nowhere to go with tired kids (rain).

This was a great location. The issues were service, cleanliness and comfort related. The room was dirty . Carpet and couch were visibly unclean. Requested a later check out, which was granted, but cleaning staff entered our room while we slept and this was 15 minutes before standard checkout time with our door tag present. No one seemed concerned. Bar and grill staff were disinterested in helping patrons and seemed annoyed to be asked for help. This will likely never be a place we will stay in the future.

The hotel needs to enforce its dog/pet policies. I encountered dogs peeing inside hotel on walls and doors, dogs weighing well above the 50 pound limit staying in hotel, 2 dog limit being violated, and dogs in eating areas sitting on furniture and eating off of tables.
The hotel needs to change its coffe purculators and dispensing warmers as the coffee was never above a warm temperature even when brought out freshly brewed.

I really didn’t like the stay we had here. I opened the comforter at night and there were blood spots on it. I called the front desk and they never came to change it out. I would never stay here again as there’s a bio hazard in the rooms. The whole time we were sleeping without comforter. It was a very bad situation. I had my kids with me and I had to have them sleep without comforter as well.

The property features a terrific pool that is larger than most and a hot tub large enough for about 12. The complimentary breakfast changed daily and featured spinach quiche one day, biscuits and gravy another, and jalapeno/cheese another day. I would have rated the hotel higher except maid service was every other day, the front desk told us that was Marriott policy. The Springhill we stayed at the days before provided maid service every day and coffee all day. This location only had coffee during breakfast.

Honestly we had a great time at our stay but the management team really missed it. We had an air conditioning leak in our room so from our unit to our bed and door to balcony was soaked with water. You couldn’t wear socks cause your feet would get soaked. I called downstairs and reported and they did send someone up. My complaint is, I was never apologized to never was ask if I wanted to be moved just said nothing. I had to call and ask if it was fixed and to ask if fans needed to be brought in to help dry up carpet. I was just told no it would be okay. I did tell manager when I checked out how I felt but she was so nonchalant and still never offered an apology. I hope it doesn’t smell musky in that room cause it was still not dry when we checked out.

Overall the stay was good. We stayed in room 346 with my main concern being the cleanliness, specifically the shower and lounge area. In various corners of the shower there were signs of mold in the grout alongside with a gray tint on the shower floor. Also the shower door did not have a great seal which permitted water to seep onto the bathroom floor. This resulted in us having to pack multiple bathroom towels to contain the water. The couch had various stains. However, the bed was very clean and comfortable. Overall, we would consider coming back. The workers were very friendly and attentive.

The hotel in general seemed very clean. However, our room was just ok. I was excited to have booked a balcony with a water view room. You could not see the water at all from the room unless you stood in the far corner of the balcony. Then you could see it in the distance. There was a lot of trash and old food under the beds. I wouldn’t have known it was there except i lifted up the bedding while looking for something.

Hotels is very conveniently located near a ton of amazing restaurants, historical downtown and several parks. Overall condition of the hotel is very new and very clean. There is a Starbucks right on site as an added bonus. Continental breakfast was fair at best but at least they have one available. Beds are very soft so if you have a hard time sleeping on soft mattresses and pillows, you might want to bring your own pillow. They offer a grill and bar with live music by the pool area which was a great option when you don’t want to leave for lunch. Overall, a great option.

The location is great with all the local restaurants near by, however, the reason I gave it a 5 because of the services provide by the hotels staffs. I was told that they will provide room service every other day, but I stayed there for 4 days and no one showed up to clean our room. When registered, they gave us the handicap room, which is weird and I don't like the layout of the room. I decided to accepted the room because we're tired and would like to settle down. On the second day, we called for the room service and they said they won't do it unless there's no one in the room. WTH : ( The next day, we went out all day but still there's no one showed up to clean our room. By the day we're checking out, our room looked like we're from third world country with a pile of trashes, dirty towels and bad smell. I have to went to the front desks EVERY. SINGLE. DAY to asked for towels and others necessities like toilet paper. And I have to went there twice before they sent us the toilet paper roll. In addition, I did not know there will be a $15 for parking fee since I booked through hotels.com. I also have to register for free membership to have access to free Wifi. This would be our first and last time we stayed at this hotel. Dragging my tired ass to asked for all the basic necessities while the people there didn't do their job properly should never happen again.

Overall stay was Excellent. The room was clean and the hotel was clean also. The room staff was friendly and helpful. Overall facility was clean and we enjoyed. Morning breakfast was good, but the lines for waffles are to congested. Would like to see a little more variety on the menu.Maybe there needs to be someone making the waffles at the hotel to help with the flow in the mornings.
