The staff were very friendly, but I was charged for some ice cream bars that no one in my family got. I told the front desk about it when I was leaving and said it was going to be taken care of but when I looked on my bank statement, it was still the price with the charge for the bars. Don’t use your debit card here, make sure to use a credit card! Also why charge for parking?

Great location with close proximity to the beach (walking distance) and old town Fernandina Beach (short drive). Large pool with an outdoor bar area. Hotel room was very spacious and clean. Hotel staff were very friendly. Overall a great stay.

Couple of hiccups. Upon check-in, the credit card reader would not work. After trying multiple times, finally went to the adjacent terminal to put my credit card on-file for incidentals with success. This took about 15 minutes. After driving 4 hours you hope the check-in is seamless.

When we arrived into our room, we noticed there were no facecloths. Called the front desk to request them and told we have to pick them up ourselves at the desk. Again, no big issue, but if room was set-up properly before arrival, this would not have been an issue.

Final concern has to do with the tub. Very clean bathroom, which I appreciate. But the tub bottom is very slippery. Older guests need to be mindful in order to avoid falling.

The property was very clean and nice. We loved the pool and how accessible the hotel was to the beach and restaurants. The staff at the poolside restaurant was so friendly and helpful. We asked for towels several times from the cleaning ladies and they accommodated us with plenty for the night. The room was very quiet, and we had the best view inside the room and from the balcony. We were able to darken the room at night to sleep without any lights from outside. Even though our room was near the pool, we never heard any noise inside the room.
The front desk staff was not very friendly or helpful at check in. While checking in, we were not told our room number or that you need to use your key for the elevators to go to the floor for your room. We asked for a luggage trolly and were told they were kept all over the hotel so no one could help find one. I asked where people typically park if they do not pay the daily parking only to be told good luck finding somewhere else if you do not pay. We said hello to several of the employees as we noticed them only to be ignored. The fire alarm went off during our stay. We evacuated. We saw two employees outside and asked if this was real. They said they did know. We checked at the front desk and were told it was practice for the employees. It would have been nice to be made aware. We were concerned and walked all the way down the steps from the 4th floor.

We booked for a stay Wednesday-Saturday without knowing that the 30th prrothead Convention was being being held at the hotel. The pool was totally unusable as there were so many people in the pool partying it was kind of like a germ fest. Our room was nice as they put us in the rear of the hotel. We wouldn’t have stayed there if we knew the convention was going on.

We enjoyed the resort feel with the food, bar, pool, hot tub options on the premises.
Music pool side added enjoyment while using the pool. Our corner room on the 2nd floor had a great view of the ocean, per our room request during booking.
Room, Linens and towels were clean.
It was not far to walk to the beach.

The hotel was within walking distance to the ocean, which was great. The room was nice and appreciated the hotel gave us a corner unit with a balcony, that had ocean view! The room was big and comfy and had a sofa sitting area. The bath room was spacious and had a nice walking shower. I also liked that there were extra hooks in the bath room to hang extra towels. The only confusing part was the parking. The hotel is shared with another hotel so they share the pool, You need to wear a wristband if you want to swim in the pool. The parking was also located in a different area and had a small fee which wasn't easily visible when I booked so wasn't expecting that cost. These are not deal breakers. Its not close to the downtown historic district. It would require you to drive. I would recommend the hotel to others if they are visiting.

Had to wait 2 1/2 hours to check in as room was not ready. Front desk would not let me talk to manager. She was very rude and kept telling me to keep checking back. Had to stand in a long line 4 times. I asked if she could text me when it was ready so I could go get something to eat, and she said no, I would just have to take a seat in lobby. When I finally got to the room , the toilet handle was broken and the fridge did not work. I was told that if I wanted to switch rooms, it would be a down grade and would have to wait a couple hours more. Since I was only there for 1 night and had already lost so much of my time waiting, I had to suck it up. Very bad experience. I would not stay there again.

The pool and hot tub were fantastic! Our room was clean, beds were comfortable. They were terrible pillows, but that is always expected, and never a surprise, I have yet to stay in any hotel that has good bed pillows. It’s just one block from the beach, it was so lovely to be able to walk there and back. But be aware, there is no place to rinse your feet off once you leave the beach, so be prepared for that. And that has nothing to do with the hotel, that’s more the drawback of that particular area of beach. But the views are beautiful!

The room was nicely appointed. The only comply was the shower curtain wasn't long enough, and a lot of water sprayed out onto the rest of the bathroom.. the bed was very comfortable. The room had a nice balcony overlooking the pool area. The bistro bar and restaurant had a great variety of drinks and dining options. The burgers and the fish and chips were great... It had a large pool area and plenty of seating. It's about 1 block to the beach a very easy walk.

Hotel is very nice and has a great location, safe and easy parking. We did not use the pool, but it looks great and same with the outside area. The water pressure is terrible and we had maintenance come and they cleaned shower head, but it did not change much and then went back to poor pressure and practically no pressure at sink. Towels are not the best, bed is comfy, room was nice and clean. There is Coffee in room, but no coffee in lobby unless you pay for the overpriced coffee at the bistro. No free breakfast, but bistro has a few options but its pricey. We ate breakfast locally. Overall great stay!

Nice enough property. Vacant lots around the building were a bit unsightly with trash and debris scattered in various places. Location was optimum for access to beach (literally across the street), Fort Clinch State Park (which offers beautiful scenery and great e-biking), as well as numerous greenways full of wildlife and perfect for walks or biking. Less than 2 miles to downtown Amelia Island. Rooms were very clean; courtyard with pool and hot tub were well maintained; breakfast options were numerous and very good; staff were very amicable and accommodating. Overall, a great stay, prime location, and fun mini-vacay. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

I love the ocean view. Upon checking in, I asked if the room was ocean view; I wanted to make sure because that's what I reserved and desired a good view. I received a response of, \"I believe so\" from the front desk. Checked in and the room the front desk assisgned at checkin was on the 2nd floor. To say the least, my ocean view was not very nice. I saw more of the hotels on the shoreline than the beach. The room looked clean, however, the linen was stained: a few pillow cases and one bed skirt. The hotel was pretty clean besides the linen on one of the queen beds in my room. The hotel location is pretty ideal too. Shopping in Yulee (the city right outside of Amelia Island) was absolutely wonderful. I had the best customer service experience at every store I went too. My family and I had a good experience on our trip and we ate good at Georgia Smoke, Mezcal Spirit of Oaxaca and Fantasic Fudge.

We booked an ocean-facing room with balcony for a 3-night stay, and arrived at check-in around 5pm. We were given a room equipped for people with disabilities and/or a wheelchair. When I promptly asked if we could have a different room for our romantic getaway, I was told that ALL ocean-facing rooms were handicap accessible rooms. On one hand, we thought that was great and very inclusive, HOWEVER, when I then walked our floor to see how many other rooms had the handicap badge by the room card reader, I found this not to be true at all. I saw only one other.

We are as flexible as they come, but do not like dishonesty. We didnt go back and complain. We accepted it because we were late for dinner … but fair warning when booking, the room you reserve may not be the one you get. Add to that a few issues with the bathroom (loose toilet handle & TP holder, empty shampoo bottle in the shower) and a very basic room overall, and you quickly realize you’re paying island prices and for the location near the beach.

We will look elsewhere the next time we visit Amelia Island.
Three stars; just ok; and expensive for what it is.
