They made a mistake about the availability of the initial room we'd been assigned. This hassle was handsomely reimbursed however by the placement of us into a much better suite.

Overall, a great place with great food, great view, great space.

Main annoyance was the extra almost $50 daily we were charged ($40+taxes). It appeared on our statement as the \"Villa Resort Services Charge - OTA.\" I called up to ask if there were any way we might've not been charged the extra fee: no. Would it be possible to visit the Omni Resort and pay the service charge without a room: no. And did they tell us about this extra charge ahead of time: no. Rooms at the Villa or Omni aren't cheap. And they reveal nothing about the extra $50 daily.

The Omni is a usually great place to stay and there is always something to do. Our unit was in need of some service. The stairwell, patio, and pool area was dirty with leaves and moss. It needed a good pressure wash. The bedroom carpets were dirty.

The Omni resort is very impressive. The pool area and amenities were great. The shuttle service to bring you around the property was very convenient. Our room at the Villa though was very tired and in dire need of some updates (flooring, bathroom fixtures, sliding door, patio area, etc). Other than the room itself, everything else we experienced was top-notch.

Booking at the Amelia resort is above confusing, it is called the villas but also the Omni hotel . When you pick your room like we did we thought because it looked like the hotel room it would be at the hotel. It was not, it was at the villas. The room was and check in was very difficult. We took our luggage out and everything at the hotel to only have to pack up and go to the villa that was like a scavenger hunt to find. Those rooms are old, dated and not like the pictures. The only positive was the tram to take us to the hotel to use the pool and beach. I would not book this again.

The beach view from our villa was mostly obstructed. The listing showed a balcony, but our room was on the ground floor with a patio that had no lighting, making it unusable at night.

The photos used for booking are misleading and do not accurately represent what you get. The resort includes multiple buildings with different types of villas, a hotel, and smaller units, but this is not clearly explained during booking—so you don’t really know which accommodations you’re reserving.

There was no kitchen; however, we booked a double queen room (not a suite), so that part was acceptable. That said, the villa itself needs a thorough cleaning and updating. The common areas and building exterior also show a lack of maintenance and upkeep.

Overall, the room did not feel worth the price we paid. That said, the resort itself has a lot to offer—we enjoyed the amenities, shops, dining options, views, pool, beach, and natural surroundings, especially riding around in the golf cart we rented. The hotel next to the villas was a highlight, with brunch, live music in the evenings, a large pool, great views, and a boardwalk to the beach. Access to these hotel amenities for villa guests was a definite plus.

When i arrived in my room the first thing i noticed was the dust and dingy smell of the room. I looked in the bathroom and on the patio and there was trash left behind from other guests. The bathroom tub had chips in it and was incredibly outdated and the shower squeaked if you used if for more than 5 minutes. We had weak water pressure and on the second day we actually lost water to our villa. When we arrived to our room the second night we had received a boil water notice and were unable to flush the toilet or wash our hands. We were left with no other alternatives but to walk half a mile to the closest restaurant with a bathroom. Im left asking the question how can i boil water in a hotel room with no microwave. We couldnt even shower the next morning because of that notice. I am disappointed that i wasted my money on this hotel. The shuttle that was supposed to be operating daily was constantly late and unreliable and i felt like i wasted a good weekend to just be disappointed.

The amenities of the resort were great. It’s very large and spread out so prepare to take the resort-provided trams. The pool and beach combo was a favorite for the kids and the nature center was cool.

Our actual room at the Courtside Villa left much to be desired. It was outdated, we could hear our neighbors both next to us and above us through the paper thin walls, and the bathroom was combined with the kitchenette which was gross. Also, there wasn’t anything provided in the kitchenette besides two mugs when the room is suppose to accommodate four people. We didn’t even have four chairs for the dining room table. I wouldn’t recommend staying in the rooms at courtside.

The Villas of Amelia Island is part of the Omni Resort, which is great because you can use the Omni amenities (pool, fitness, beach, etc.). The bad part, though, is that we were assigned a room in Turtle Dunes, which is the farthest villa from the main resort (over a mile away). They do have shuttle service throughout the result, which is relatively efficient, but it means you have to shuttle back and forth to the pool, beach, restaurants, etc. every time you want to do something, which takes a lot of time away from your vacation. Also, the food everywhere is very expensive, and so are the amenities, such as renting beach chairs, etc. That said, the room was nice, with a huge bathroom and a beautiful view, and that part of the resort was extremely quiet, even on a busy spring break week.

The villa was just a room and a bathroom. Most villas have a small kitchenette but this does not. The villa is the farthest you can get from the main resort, but that is actually kind of nice if you like privacy. There is a smaller pool which we thought was fantastic. The view of the ocean is spectacular and the beach walks are even better.

Broken bathroom door closure. Broken ice maker and no ice, coffee pot but no filters, outdoor deck but very dirt furniture and floor. So dirty would not sit down afraid to stain my clothes. For a five star facility this area looked neglected.

This is our fourth annual trip to Amelia to attend the concourse, we stay at the villas every time, it’s quiet it’s clean. You have full access to the Omni itself in all of its facilities, and they have buses that take you to the concourse every day.

Unit was generally tired and had a 1980s appearance. Lighting was awful. generally a sad experience. coming out of elevator you still had steps before getting to unit !. Address given was to a real estate office with note on door. then had to drive to Omni hotel front desk which was busy. Had to pay a resort fee but was not planning on staying at a resort or using any of the facilities.

We arrived and thought the resort area was beautiful. Out villa we stayed in and had a great view of the ocean. However, the room many many years. There was a huge spiderweb, going into the doorway that we had to clear out before going into our room. When I sat on the bed, the bottom bed board apparently came loose and you could hear it hit the ground. The mattress had a big dip in the middle of it. The TV screen was about 24 inches, way too small for the room. There was no chair to sit on all we had was just the bed. I ended up getting bit by bedbugs the very first night. We left the next morning as I was not going to stay in a place that was this old and in this condition. we drove three hours to get to Amelia Island from where we live for our anniversary. We were at the resort for a total of about 14 hours left the next morning after getting bit by the bedbugs. The property agreed to not charge me for the second night, but continue to charge me for the resort fee when we weren't even there. I would suggest going down to Fernanda Beach or one of the other islands to look for accommodations.

The check in process took very long. There were 2 customers with issues and many questions and the desk clerk clearly needed help. Though we were texted the day before about \"complementary drinks\", the desk clerk indicated that was for the hotel guests and not the villas. Ugh! I was given incorrect directions by the security officer which caused us to drive up and down the property several times. We were provided the incorrect instructions for the WIFI. The instructions were written down and still provided incorrectly by the desk clerk. That also took some time. The pictures don't show that the villas are actually quite dated and the large pool in the pictures is actually part of the hotel not the villas. The villas I must say, are very clean. They are however, super basic and ours was strangely spaced. The bathroom and kitchenette shared a small space. Literally the toilet was 3 steps away from the fridge and 2 steps from the coffee maker/cabinet. It is absolutely worth to spend the additional money to stay at the hotel instead.

This place was fantastic. Customer service was amazing. We stayed at one of the villas through the hotel and absolutely loved it. There is a trolley that will pick you up and drop you off anywhere in the resort area promptly and free of charge.

The check-in building was filthy on the outside, so I was skeptical, before I went in. The directions to our villa were difficult in the day, the signs were poor and the road loopy. When we came back at night, it was impossible to see or read the signs, after an hour, the bus took pity on us and led us to out Villa. Exhausting!

The room was clean, but extremely outdated. The furniture, specifically the dresser and desk. Were very worn with pieces of wood and the knobs missing.
The beds were very cheap with wheels under the frame. Service around the pool area was terrible and slow. My husband and I expected more from the Omni brand. We will definitely not be staying here again.

We loved staying right on the beach and having a nice pool for our area of the resort. The resort has transportation options, but where we stayed was walkable to the conference center beside the actual hotel. The area was quiet and parking was good. We did have an issue with some mouse-sized roaches in our apartment and a very large hair ball on the balcony! The building itself seems old and run down, but overall, we enjoyed our stay.

This resort is clean and well maintained. It was perfect to celebrate our anniversary! It’s right on the beach but still has a pool. It was very quiet and peaceful! The only downside is that it’s about 20 minutes away from downtown. We wanted to have dinner watching sunset, so we went to Brett’s Waterway Cafe at the marina by downtown. But there are restaurants on site. I would love to visit here again with my family. They have put put golf, pickleball courts, tennis courts and golf courses. The beach here is amazing! I definitely recommend this place!

The Omni resort is very beautiful and has wonderful amenities, but the villa we stayed in was a building on the property where the units are privately owned. The building we stayed in is in great need of structural repairs. The gardens are all very old and dead. The outside trash bins around the pool area were overflowing and never emptied for the whole time we stayed. The unit itself is very dirty and smells very danc and musty, it has maybe a 28 inch tv that was very old. Please beware of this unit.
