Room was nice, food smelled great but we didn’t get to sample it. Roo was freezing when we arrived as the radiator was turned off. Room was let down by the bathroom being a bit tatty and worn down and the shower being cold even on highest setting

They were let down a bit by their colleagues behind the scenes - we were served the wrong food and there was a long wait for it. We spoke to some locals who visit quite often and they said the food hadn't been so good recently.

Was shown to a wobbly table then offered beer mats to stop the wobbly. Made Made the centre of amusement for the rest of the restaurant to laugh at and make fun of. When we asked to move the guy said. If you want!!! Rude beyond belief. We quickly left and did not eat. We ordered a takeaway to our room. Room was excellent. Bar excellent. Pleasant enough stay. Bed large and quite comfy but pillows terrible. Room was clean but only one chair so could only sit on bed for a drink. Bathroom nicely tilled with large roll top bath with a shower over. If you have any mobility problems or are getting on in years request a walk In shower as very difficult getting in bath. The staff in the bar and restaurant are very helpful and friendly and the evening meal was nice.

Great for solo female travellers
I have stayed here several times when travelling for business. Being a female I always try and stay away from larger hotels for safety and opt for smaller,quieter hotel locations where you are a a person not just another room number. This hotel is clean comfortable and has a great restaurant. Car park can be busy but I have never been unable to park and by 9pm the pub/restaurant empties out and you can get a good nights sleep.

The room was fairly comfortable but the bathroom was awful. The bathroom was very small and the shower was difficult to get into and the temperature luke warm. The tray almost overflowed due to bad drainage.

Fantastic hotel. The room was spacious and clean. We stayed there as friends all came together for Christmas party. The radio was on playing christmas music. The room was cold but we turned radiator on and after having a drink in the bar downstairs room was cosy. Well stocked with pkenty if tea coffee and milk. Hairdryer and bsth robes provided. We stayed for breakfast and quality and presentation was excellent.

Hartford Hall is a nicely appointed hotel and pub in Northwich, situated between Chester and Manchester. My room was very comfortable with a big bed, a nice bathroom and shower, and good tea/coffee facilities including a coffee machine with pods.
The downsides were the windows could do with replacing as my window wouldn't shut completely, meaning I could regularly hear the traffic going by. Thankfully there wasn't really a draft as the radiator was working well. With earplugs I slept fine but without, it was distracting. With proper double-glazing I think this issue would be mitigated.
The adjoining pub is very popular and with a good variety of evening and breakfast options. Other than the window, I had a great stay and recommend!

Customer service was excellent, rooms are tired and grubby. The shower needed cleaning before we got in it, there was something unpleasant on the tiles. Bathroom needed some attention-felt grubby with rust on shelf and sealant needing attention.

Food was excellent quality, however we ate dinner and it took about 40 minutes to arrive and breakfast was also very good but it took a long time to arrive, but worth waiting for.

The property was lovely rooms nice, and the aesthetic of the place were also nice, however in the dining area there were cobwebs in a few areas which I didn’t find nice when trying to eat, the rooms were lovely however super warm even with the window open, which caused a huge issue in the morning as before 8 the bins were emptied outside the room the smell wafted in along with the loud noise, and for some strange reason a leaf blower was also going off right outside the window before 8 am so I think if visiting for work and up early it’s great but if you want to relax I can’t say it’s a good place.

Hartford Hall is lovely, the restaurant does high quality food and the drinks are good.
We stayed in a family room which has a double bed and a sofa bed. In general the room was good, it had a good shower and was a decent price for the quality however there were a few little things that could be improved upon. Mainly that the sofa bed was awkward to sit on as the cushions kept on sliding off, the selection of refreshments in the room were not great, (they only had Nespresso coffee which had no information on which pods they had left us and there were no decaf options) and the hot tap in the bathroom sink was absolutely scolding hot which is not great for a family room.
Cleanliness in general was good but we did had a dirty glass, a couple of stains on the duvet cover and I found a few small hair bobbles on the carpet.
The radio was a nice touch and we enjoyed that as I could connect my phone to it.

I have stayed in this hotel several times now as it is perfectly situated on my route around the area. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming after a hard day on the roads. The rooms are spacious and well equipped with tea,coffee,biscuits a coffee pod machine, iron and board, hairdryer and even a digital radio which they have on as you enter the room which I think is a lovely touch. The area feels safe and quiet but is within easy reach to major roads. I would recommend this location for both business or leisure stays.
