The condition of the hotel and room are old. There were holes on the bottom of the bedsheet and blanket, water in the shower is weak, and the furniture in the room is not in good condition. The hotel does offer wide selection of a la carte breakfast buffet.

The hotel was well located. Reason for low score is no shampoo and soap in the shower, I called to request it, but after 40 minutes nobody came to bring it to my room. I went down, and a woman was really rude attitude and not solving the problem. After 1 hour I got my problem solved.

Complain quick and get room you paid for

I booked this based on pictures and rating. A nice good looking family room, a bit expensive. I thought it would live up to this. In reality we got checked in and headed for room. They gave us one of the oldest worst maintenaned room possible. I got down to the reception and complained. They showed us another much better room that we accepted without any extra costs. I do not even understand why they give customers the worst possible room, when they have better renovated same type of room available.

The condition of the hotel it’s very bad and also the air condition of the room is not working properly. I complain but they are said we fix it. It’s not fix other things. The left too noisy and scary. And I’ve been customer for a long time in this hotel regular customer I did ask for change room and they are charge me extra.

Ignore the negative rating. My stay here was pleasant, just that in that day the city or province had a sewage problem that made the surrounding area of the hotel smelled like sewage. Dont let this change your mind. Throughout my atay here was very amazing. I would book this hotel again when im coming back to thailand as it is nearby the 4 shopping malls

I dont like to write negative reviews as I know it impacts businesses and its bottom line but I felt like this was necessary. This was also written in hope that the upper management can be aware and take action.

I'll start with the positives. The room I booked was spacious and the location was nice; near some BTS and lots of F&B options. The staff were also responsive and warm.

Now with the negatives. I am not stickler for cleanliness and hygiene at all but the room I was in was infested with cockroaches.

They would appear if you have eaten in the room and have left morsels of food on tables, floor and even in the sink. Once, I was trying to charge my phone and plugged the charger into the wall. Almost immediately, a tiny brown-banded cockroach crawled out of its home that is the charging port, to my digust.

The infrastructure of the hotel is also in need of a massive revamp / teardown. There was a leaky pipe in my balcony that was gushing what looked like dirty water. Saw mould near the aircon vents in my room. Carpets and furnishings have also seen better days. The room also smelt musty. I am sure when the hotel was built in 1986, it was very much a 4 star hotel but its nowhere close to a true 4 star hotel now. I would say its much closer to a 3 star or 2 star if I peg it to hotel standards in my home country, Singapore.

All in all, I feel the staff in the hotel are trying their best but is led down by the shoddy state of the hotel and perhaps upper management.

Have stayed here several times over the last 10-12 years. Always reliable and comfortable. On this occasion I found the room to be very warm. The air conditioning appeared to be struggling. It made for an uncomfortable evening. As a group we had booked 2 rooms. Both rooms had issues with temperature. This made it an uncomfortable stay on this occasion. The buffet breakfast is wonderful. Plenty to chose from

Good points: hot shower, good sized rooms, nice sized swimming pool.
Concerning points: felt run down as soon as we arrived, needs updating everywhere. Bedroom looked like online photo BUT tired, only one pillow each, not pretty like the photo, not enough towels, no bath mat, under the beds was filthy, and picture on the wall was THICK with dust. Emergency torch didn't work, light in bathroom didn't work.
There is a clouded window between the bathroom and bedroom but the person in the shower/bath can be clearly seen through it. Not good when you are a family with teenagers! AC not consistent. Has a balcony but it's screwed shut.
Breakfast buffet was OK but restaurant is very dark.
No changing rooms for the pool. Pool water tasted weird.
I wish we'd read the reviews before booking because it sounds like this hotel has been like this for a long time now, and even with poor reviews, nothing has changed. We would not choose to stay here again.

there was a dead cockroach. The room was at the end of the hallway and gave very eerie vibes. The toilet door looked like it was forced open and could not be locked. We couldn’t wait to get out of the hotel. When we wanted to change room, they said it could only be done the following day. We requested for a refund for the next 3 days, the hotel said they would have to penalise us for one night. Spoke to the manager the next morning. He said he would only charge us for the stay.

Overall my experience was good at this location. Nice room on the 19th floor with a balcony, however it’s not accessible due to locked doors by the facility, absolutely useless since this was one of the reasons I booked this location.

Housekeeping was great and helpful, however the restaurant attendant for breakfast needs some additional training on proper customer service. My reservation showed 2 breakfast included with my room, however when I had my friend join for breakfast I was rudely interrupted being told I only was allowed one breakfast with my room.. was charged 199 baht for the so called extra breakfast, even my reservation showed it included 2 breakfast daily.

Front desk was always helpful and efficient.

Everything was great, great value. Older building and not as polished as other properties. Only issue was with one of the staff. We had several run ins with the lady at the desk of the restaurant, I'm assuming she was the hostess. She was very rude to us and those in our party. We also saw the same behavior with other people and groups. We were executive and she tried to force my wife out saying she didn't belong there. All this even after we gave her the room number.

Hellhole of the Hotel - Terrible Hotel

One of the most terrible hotels you will come across in your life. Pathetic room condition - rotten furniture, third class bedding, the surface the white dots and it was smelling like hell. Cockroaches were feasting there. We have a small baby, have asked them to change the room which they did but still it was not worth it. worst room service, they don’t have any staff after 5 pm. The breakfast didn’t had any vegetarian options. This is one of the hell hole. Equally worst from hotels.com to have this kind of hotel in their list. DO NOT GO THERE, NEVER.

The reception staff ok, but The Night Manager was terrible on my check in evening, The food was very average and the staff was below average in this area and the exec lounge, have stayed many times but will not stay again, and the executive lounge is laughable and not even close to 4 star, I rate Furama is 2.5 STAR maximum, room key didn't work twice this visit, it happens every time I stay there very old now needs major renovations carpets dirty.

Our overall experience at this hotel was highly positive. Although we initially encountered an issue with our room's cleanliness on a high floor, the staff promptly addressed it and moved us to a more updated room. This suggested that perhaps the first room hadn't been recently renovated. The standout feature was the outstanding service from the staff and concierge, who assisted us in booking day trips, car transfers, and even babysitting. The central location allowed us to explore Bangkok easily, ultimately overshadowing any downsides in room condition. A great choice for those seeking excellent service and a convenient location!

I’ve stayed here many times over the past few decades. It’s fantastic Silom location and friendly staff have always brought me back. BUT this time I was shocked by the lack of repair in my first room - ac not working and mould on bath area. The manager made good with a replacement room… but guys… you’ve got to keep up standards. I hope you do.

I liked the location for shops, access to transportation, some desent restaurants, and close to historical properties. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
In terms of dislike, I was hugely disappointed with the advertised gym. All the gym equipment was and has been out of service for a long time. Apart from free weights there is nothing that works and the air quality was bad.
I disliked the bathroom as there is a low ceiling area above the sink, and the light was terrible when I shaved.
The couch had seen it's better days, and was very uncomfortable.
The mattress on the bed needs replacement.
The elevators/lifts are slow and the key card for the elevator took some time to allow connect.

Property is situated close to Icon Siam and other nearby restaurants and eateries.

Room was old and smells old, too. Sliding door of the bathroom is broken and won't close properly so we had to put a side table to just secure it. Dining area where we had our breakfast was old and a bit dark. Same food options everyday and quality was just average.

The room need updates and Tv doesn’t working, there wasn’t bath towels when we got to the room, we needed shower after long flight from U.S the toilet paper wasn’t the whole role. Was already half gone/used, the furniture was so out dated, just need lot of maintenance. The front desk was very helpful, the breakfast wasn’t much selection. Dinning area was very clean. The kitchen staffs did great job…

Whilst it was close to the park, it wasn’t a particularly nice hotel. The rooms were massive but very dark and gloomy, the space was not utilised well. The bedsheets were dirty, the plugs didn’t work, there was no mini bar as described in the room, the bathroom was not nice. The gym had limited aircon and was very old fashioned. The rooftop pool was nice, but the water was dirty -lots of things floating around in it.
The aircon was really loud in the room so sleeping was difficult.
The rooms need a major revamp.

I booked a family room with 2 beds. They gave us an outdated room. I asked for one of the newer upgraded rooms, they were kind enough to show me more rooms on the same 10th floor, all of which were family rooms and outdated ones. They said the newer rooms don’t have any double beds in them. However, the stay was ok. Breakfast was also ok. Fresh coffee from a choice of 3 different machines was the best part about it. This hotel is ok for a day or two max, that too if you are getting the newer rooms. Location is very good.

I went to Furama in Singapore and was expecting similar level of the building and facilities. This one at BKK Silom seemed much older and dated, in need of renovation and upgrades, particularly at the main entrance and in the lobby, and overall the infrastructure (e.g. access cards are the 1980s slot type). On the plus side, the rate was affordable. My standard room had a bathtub which was very welcome.

Transport: Be aware that the BTS/MRT are a bit of a walk away (15-20 min), but the Grab is convenient in BKK.

Food: Hotel breakfast is \"ok\". Outside food: not much food around, esp after dark, aside from a rather sketchy night market near the Hindu temple. There's however a nice Japanese ramen shop about 5-10 min walk away, and several good coffee shops.

Location and staff were nice but the room was terrible. Unclean, no lamps, litter on the balcony, a poorly designed room where we had to boil a kettle on the floor as there were hardly any sockets in sensible places! Stains on the bedding, and loads of dirt on the sides too. Shame.

While the building and shared areas are nice, the rooms are ridiculously dated. They are clean, but the furniture was very old and shabby. Thankfully the bed was good. The shower head holder was about to fall out of the wall, but the water pressure was good. The staff was amazing and the rooftop bar is wonderful at night. So if you just want a place to sleep, it’s a good deal, but not exactly one I would recommend to friends.
