I did not like breakfast at all. Orange juice was not even natural juice. Fruit like bananas were not fresh.

Missing remote. The bathroom is nice, but there’s no privacy. Had to request linen for the sofa couch. Room service closed early, we couldn’t order as the time advertised. The massage chair didn’t work, that’s one of the only reasons we booked the room, it just kept beeping and had an error code. The shuttle is never available when you need it for the airport. For pickup from the airport or to the airport. They also lied about the shuttle. It’s been sitting here for an hour. They gave some lame story about a sedan being used etc. See my review on google maps for a picture of the advertised “late menu” for room service. On a good note, the breakfast was a 4, and the service staff there were very helpful.

Upon arrival at the Ramada Encore, the receptionist asked for my identification. I handed him my Texas driver's license, but he rejected it, arguing that “on the manager's orders, the identification had to be Mexican.” I explained that I did not have Mexican identification and that my TX license was a valid international ID, which had been accepted at that same hotel on previous visits. Despite my explanations, he remained adamant and even reacted with sarcastic laughter and mockery. When I asked how foreigners were registered, he replied sarcastically that they presented their foreign passports, but I did not have one. When I showed him my U.S. passport, he finally accepted it, albeit reluctantly.
The bad experience continued when I entered the room, which was 165°F. I had to turn on the mini split and wait four hours outside for the temperature to drop to 78°F, which was barely tolerable.
The next day, I had to call the administration early to request soap and hot water, as they apparently turn off the hot water valve. The cleaning lady arrived at 8:30 a.m. to clean the room, which forced us to leave for an hour. However, in the corners under the sinks, I found piles of white powder, apparently cockroach poison. This routine was repeated during the two days of my stay.

Todo estuvo bien los trabajadores muy amables nomas que ya le falta una buena limpieza al hotel no se sentía al 100 limpio por la razón que el pasillo estaba lleno de basura como si no avían aspirado las cobijas si estaban limpias pero las habitación estaba un poco sucio por los baños y en ciertos rincones. Great hotel, shuttle service to airport needs work. If schedule to leave at a specific time they need to let guest know to be downstairs in lobby at least 5 minutes before departure. They waited 15 minutes passed schedule time, delaying other guess, causing undue stress and worry, simply for a lazy guests who didnt feel like waking up on time. It's one thing to make other guests wait at the airport, flights/luggage can delay guess thats understandable but at tje hotel lobby it's unprofessional and shows lack of care for other guest that show up to lobby with plenty of time before thier scheduled departure of the shuttle.

Most hotels we stayed at (not just here) needed some attention to up-keep. Our cab ride to the airport was just plain awful. The cabbie had a natural gas car which was noisy and underpowered, he coughed and made token efforts to clean his filthy windshield, and was rude. Welcome to Monterrey. They offered complimentary drinks but they were no good. I bought an extra pina colada at their bar and was shocked at how bad it was. The complimentary breakfast buffet was very good however.

In General we love this hotel, we have previously stayed. The bfk is delicious.. the reason why I rate it 3 stars is because, our room had a weird smell..
