Bathroom wet-dry separation isn’t perfect (water splashes on floor), but it’s a minor issue. Quiet, convenient location, and great value. Would stay again!

1. We asked for a king sized bed (couple with a 2 year old child, plan was to let him sleep between us). We got a 2x90cm beds that had been put together but no adequate mattress on top. Consequently, out 2 year old son was lying on the 2 hard edges of the bed in the middle. He didn't sleep until he was sharing one of the 90cm mattresses. No-one slept in the middle.
2. The stand-by light on the TV is too bright. We meeded to cover it with a towel. Ok afterwards.
3. The fire alarm in the ceiling blinks every 30 seconds or so. And it blinks! It lit up the room every time.
4. They knew we were going to be three. We got two large towels.
5. Both the elevators' regular and regulatory check was expired (by three months).
Overall, not worth the money even if the location is of course amazing if you have an early flight the day after. I woke up at 2am (my son slept in my side) and couldn't fall asleep again due to the blinking light from the fire alarm.

Breakfast was an additional 25 dls per person for a continental regular European breakfast. Seemed steep and should had been available to guest for less in my opinion. No salmon included. The hotel was clean and the plus is that is right next to the airport terminal. Just a few steps from it. Staff was very nice and attended to our needs when we needed to turn the heater on, the front desk lady actually went up to our room and helped us right away.

Had no sleep due to discomfort and back pain from the very narrow sagging beds which were more like camping cots than beds. These beds are not fit to support the body of a normal size male or female. The hotel didn’t acknowledge the problem- apparently it’s all in my head. In order to get compensation, an Expedia agent asked me for a doctor’s report of my discomfort because the hotel denied a problem with the cots. I paid for normal beds not for cots with sagging mattresses. Shockingly low standards that I have never encountered anywhere in Europe. Wifi was very weak and unpredictable, couldn’t check into my flight. Had to call twice the front desk and wasted a lot of time before they gave me a staff password that worked. Stay away.

Iceland has very little travel options so, your only food options are at the hotel. The room has nice hardwood floors and is decently large. The beds are two singles pushed together, which isn't great, but it's fine. No AC, and while Iceland is often cold, if you do open the window then you'll hear the noisy airport.

Chose the Aurora for its convenient location. If arriving and going direct, be sure to exit the airport on the 'departures' side for the shortest walk. Bedrooms were pretty lackluster but fine for overnight. No mini fridge and the hotel would benefit in providing them for food/drink storage.
