Rooms are better than in photos (I stated only in the superior singe and the deluxe double) , one rooms set up for bathroom wasn’t smart. I understand the woman who in review said it was impossible to wash hands in the sink in her room, think I stated in this room also. This won’t be a quick fix they need to remove the entire counter and possibly rearrange how things are set up there. This is the 2nd floor room facing the front. The housekeeping can be really crazy in bad way but they tend to stay on one floor. The housekeeper on 2nd floor is a really decent housekeeper and if you need something that’s apparently extra (vacuuming, not sure why it’s extra since the entire room is in carpet) or dusting. He does it and does it well you don’t have to stay there and make sure he does it right. The housekeeper on 4th floor.. many comments including him just barging into your room even if you’re naked and just staying there. All the staff that’s in reception are awesome, especially some like Eloise - hotel is seriously lucky to have staff like that I’m pretty sure she makes the guest experience a star or more higher than it would be if she wasn’t there. And yes you can walk down to the spa in your robe not leaving the hotel. Also the spa they tell you tha the only thermal treatment/water access is through the paid bath tub options but it’s not true. There are many thermal water experiences including THE ENTIRE POOL that you access through regular admission.

We were amazed to be staying at one of the oldest hotels in Germany. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed Wiesbaden. There were abundant stores and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. A special thanks to hotel employee Cem. We asked him to take a picture of our family and he not only did so, but gave us a quick tour of the hotel and an amazing history lesson on the property. He was very knowledgeable and made our stay even better. Highly recommend staying at the Schwartzer Bock hotel.

This used to be a wonderful hotel and the breakfast still is but ……surly front desk staff and an hour wait checking in, no on site parking and told to “go find a garage”, no ac in rooms as it’s is turned off , the tubs are very difficult to get in and out of “dangerous”, and it’s not worth the visit!

Great historical property, well maintained, with the old world charm. Nice bar with the live piano music on the premises several times per week. Close to the thermal baths, thermal springs, kurhaus (performance center), and the pedestrian area. Breakfast is a bit expensive, but there are excellent bakeries and cafes nearby.

The hotel is near to the centre of town. The Christmas market was inside the shopping area, so very close. For fans of staying at historic hotels, this one has plenty of that. For fans of rising to a legendary vast German buffet breakfast, this is your place. Bathroom is spacious, rooms are spacious. Car parking required a bit of walking, but off loading and reloading luggage was possible in front of the hotel. We enjoyed our stay.

The check in process was chaotic. I was given a room that housekeeping was still cleaning. My understanding was the hotel was sold out so it was okay the room wasn’t cleaned yet. I left my suitcase in the room and came back 30 minutes later. One of the hotel staff was wheeling my suitcase out of the room as I was walking down the hall. When I asked him what he was doing, his response was, “who gave you this room?” He spoke to another couple who apparently was given the same room. I’m not sure what was said because I don’t speak German. He walked away, and never came back. I went back to the lobby to clarify what room I should be in. I was told that room was mine. Back upstairs I go and now the room key doesn’t work. Downstairs again, waiting in line. There were three people behind the desk helping two couples, and no acknowledgment. I finally get to the desk, ask for new keys. The same guy told me I need to fill out the paperwork which I had already done. No apology for the confusion nor mix up. I get the hotel is busy and cleaning of rooms was taking longer than expected. The disappointing customer service was not okay.

Upon arrival rm wasn't ready, fine because we got to the hotel early due to our flight. The lady at the desk said we could check-in by 2 or so. We left the hotel to walk around until that time. We came back to the hotel at 2:30 & was told that housekeeping was preparing our room & it should be ready shortly. Again, no worries we sat in the lobby to rest. At about 3p.m. we are still sitting their with no room NO ONE has come over to check on us or to even give us an update on the status of our room. At about 315 I got in line at the desk behind others that were also trying to check-in. I waited in line for about 20min or LONGER before being informed by one of many frustrated guests that there seems to be something wrong with the hotel's system? No one made any announcement about there being a system error, or why it was taking an extremely long time to get people checked-in. Multiple guests in front of me were very frustrated and one guest had to come back to the desk about the the elevator not working and that she had to take the stairs. Again, NO O NE from the front desk nade an announcement to let us know that the elevator was down! The ONLY working elevator could only fit like 3 ppl MAX with NO LUGGAGE. By the time i received my room key it was WELL AFTER 4 P.M. after been on a 9hrs flight Our room lost all power. No sufficient towels. Manger on duty was very helpful securing an extra night for me last minute even tho they were totally booked ( and a much nicer room than I had) she was great. Beautiful lounge and outdoor space for breakfast. Would definitely recommend but know your room in advance

The hotel is a beautiful and historic building. We loved the grand staircases and other areas that have preserved the hotel history. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was wonderful. The bar area is also a good place to enjoy a drink. Both rooms were attractive and spacious. The location is also excellent for restaurants and shopping. I did not give 5 stars for the review because 1. there was a long line to checkin and only one person at the desk, 2. the plug was missing from our bath/shower and it struggled to drain, 3. the sofa cushions in the room were falling apart, 4. we encountered an enormous cockroach in our room and 5. the parking ticket for the garage that the hotel validated didn’t work when we were leaving for the airport. This said, we all enjoyed our stay and made it to the airport in time.

Unique historical property with very helpful front desk receptionist. Parking is offsite at the casino. Room service was slapdash. A screwed up luggage label that fell on the floor had not been cleaned up 3 days later and when the tissues ran out in the bathroom they were not replaced at the daily room service.

The hotel is nice, the room was spacious and it was centrally located. We had to park well off site because there was no hotel parking available. They state in the write-up that they have parking but that's not the whole story. They actually have 7 parking spots (I counted twice) which means they're always full. So you should expect to find your own parking somewhere in the city. As for hygiene, they need to shampoo the carpets - it brings the place down a bit. Overall it was a good stay. I think, though, I expect a bit more from the Radisson name.

The hotel itself is gorgeous... Clean, beautiful, quiet, in a great neighborhood... But disappointing that I had to go off site for parking. Also disappointed that the spa is only open on weekends. Our first night the dining was also closed. My first morning, I was able to get free coffee/tea in the reception area, but on the 2nd morning, there was nothing. That was disappointing. I had a very friendly girl when checking in & an \"ok\" guy checking out--less friendly/accomodating.
The offsite parking is misleading--20Euros/day. It's 20 Euros each time you go out, according the guy on my check out day.

I stayed here for three nights with my mom and sister. We got two rooms close to each other for the three of us. Both rooms were very clean, comfortable, quiet, and spacious. Everything was of high quality in the rooms (such bed, comforters, towels, hair dryer, TV, shampoos, and etc.). The internet was working fine. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to experience the pool and the spa! Overall, the hotel is very nice, and centrally located (close to shopping, site seeing, restaurants/cafes, and tourist office). They had complimentary refreshments in the lobby upon entrance. Additionally, they had tables and chairs outside in front of the hotel, to relax, people watch, or wait for someone. The only thing that may be a pain for some people was the limited parking space. The hotel had limited car parking and if those spots were full, you had to look for street parking (or park in a nearby parking lot). We got lucky and was able to find spots in the hotel lot or on the street in front of the hotel. (besides, we live in San Francisco so driving around and looking for parking spots is a norm for us).
Uh...one more thing! I wish the TV offered more channels in English. They had multiple channels in German, French, Arabic, Russian, but only 1 or 2 in English (all news, nothing fun).

Very responsive staff. Great breakfast. Suite was spacuous and very clean. Spa was good although pool not deep enough at under 5 feet to actually swim. Val provided excellent truly therapeutic massages i needed, extremely professional and skilled medicinal treatments rather than standard light massages expected in a hotel. Abdou manager at spa was very frienfly and readily assisted me in getting the best tx possible by arranging daily treatments for me with Val. Two friends for life who made it possible for me to enjoy my trip with a serious disability that would otherwise have haf me hotel bound in this beautiful country. Breakfast staff very friendly as well. Will stay here any time i am in the area.

I had a comfortable stay at the hotel it's within the town centre and in a very good location for solo travellers to move around. The staff are very friendly the breakfast is pleasant I enjoyed it and it's a European breakfast quite a small dining area. I enjoyed the pool and I would go back it doesn't scream excellent but it's verycomfortable. I was able to catch the bus to wiesbaden train station and also catch the train to Frankfurt Airport for €5. And my sat nav worked for my walks and to follow the bus route
