Rude untrained staff at front desk. Rèfused to call manager saying there was none. Later admit t1here is a supervisor but seemed rekuctant to call. Refused to explain problem clearly. Edit: I find your attitude offensive. I gave an honest review and you won't publish it. Then so be it. But i probably wont use your services again. Other booking services exist.

This was 1 of 5 hotels we stayed in during our 3-week journey through various European countries. This hotel was by far the best, top notch in every facet! We particularly enjoyed the spacious and comfortable room, staff, breakfast and location as it is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the Wiesbaden Hbf train station. We would definetely consider staying at this hotel again.

Overall nice. The parking garage is about standrad for a European city - i.e. very small spaces, extremely tight turns at places. It was a challenge fitting our XC90 in, but it was able to fit (barely.)

One should avoid room 209 until repair work has been done.

The broken ventilation made showering impractical.

In addition, some of the
equipment was partially outdated. And did not include features advertised in the room description.

Although I still enjoyed a pleasant stay, these standard conditions must be met in the future so that one does not question whether the hotel was worth the money.

Hotel ruined by an insulting restaurant service

First of all, let me clarify that our overall rating is not on the hotel side that was correct but the restaurant of the hotel. Unfortunately it is part of the experience and it is affecting our feelings about Mercure Hotel offer and services.

I cooled down but the experience with the restaurant was just insulting.

First, if you do expect a vegan option not only forget this place because not only they do not propose anything serious (the Caesar Salad without the chicken and without the sauce... meaning just a green salad but charged at the price of the Caesar salad...) but also they are judging your diet and your choices in a very insulting way. I was so sorry for my daughter-in-law to be so badly considered. the worst thing when at the end of the diner we shared our frustrations we were told it was a misunderstanding on her side ... Unfortunately all the persons around the table were able to hear about this misconsideration and blaming her was insane.

The second serious insult was when my son tasted his glass of Sauvignon Blanc and noted that despite very nice flavour it was very acid... \"piquant\" and therefore undrinkable. We called the person acting as a so-called \"sommelier\" and was telling us that it was not true. That all the Sauvignon were like that.... I tasted the wine of my son and i do confirm that it was realling bad and i have a enough Sauvignon Blanc in my cellar to understand that his mocking smile was actually insulting.

Never again...

We stayed here together with our children. Although requested before hand and also at the note upon check-in the baby cot that was eventually placed was not in good working condition. We specifically chose this hotel because of the pool only to find out that on the day we arrived it was closed for most of the afternoon for swimming lessons. Something like this should be mentioned somewhere when booking.
The staff was not very friendly and even the manager at reception responded in very short and abrupt ways. In fact, he also had no problem having an open argument with one of his staff when we stood at reception. He did end up taking the discussion to his office. Overall not very professional, happy and welcoming. No bathrobes although we asked for them repeatedly and a very cold and unwelcoming space. Given the other options we won’t be back!

Wine festival stay

Had to change rooms upon check-in, due to dirty bathroom. Alina was super sweet to pick more rooms for me to see, she went above and beyond in service! The carpet has stains, but oh well. The room was in need to upgrades, which we found out at check out they hopefully will be doing in 2023. Like no carpet! Breakfast was very good with an omelette station on weekdays. The A/C was good because it was HOT in August. Busy place. Location was great for the weinfest and we will return! Parking connected to the hotel which I love. Beautiful lobby area and enclosed terrace area could use more plants. It's our 4th Mecure hotel to stay at.

Don’t judge a book by its cover

I’ll start off what was great about the location. The location is excellent. Centrally located in the heart of Wiesbaden. The staff, all around were great, welcoming, and helpful. The lobby, lounge, bar and restaurant were also really nicely put together and modern. However it was my fault for looking at how beautiful the front of the house was, that I didn’t look past it before booking. As soon as I got off the elevator I was hit with a really strong aroma. The best way I can describe it is a mixture of old urine and a grandmothers closet. The walls were scuffed. The carpeting was so old and worn down that you could see the base of the floor through the carpeting. It was a little overwhelming. Once I got to the room, the smell wasn’t as strong but still around. The room overall was clean but everything was very dated. The shower was tiny and had to climb into it. I can’t imagine anyone in their 50’s or older would be able to safely get in and out. The shower didn’t stop any of the water from getting out so by the time my shower was done, the entire bathroom floor was soaked. Overall, not a great experience.

Great hotel in a great location

The Mercure is located close to the city center (5 minute walk) and also to the main roads in and out of the city. Convenient parking under the hotel (which can be hard to find.) Great service at the front desk and dining area. Rooms are becoming a bit aged (especially carpet) but are very clean and quiet. Wonderful ice cold AC (also hard to find.)

Fantastic Nine Night Stay

I stayed here for business (and my mother was with me) It was the BEST stay ever. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. We were there nine nights, and I can honestly say that every single staff member that we came in contact with was awesome. While I was away each day at business, my Mother usually stayed at the hotel or close by. Staff members always helped her, said a special hello, etc. The room was perfect for us. Two twin beds, roomy, clean, nice bathroom. I also loved that we were located within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, etc. I look forward to future stays at the Mercure.

This hotel is literally a block and a half from the town hall, so very centrally located and easy access to downtown Wiesbaden. The hotel was nice, the parking good, and the breakfast excellent. The AC didn’t get as cold as I would have liked it in my room, but it was over 90 degrees outside when I was there, which is abnormally warm for Wiesbaden.

Second time to Wiesbaden, first time at the Mercure and I'll definitely be back. The hotel, the staff, the accomodations, the location are all terrific. I spent two nights here, got great restaurant recommendations and was able to walk everywhere. It's one block from public transportation, a few blocks from great shopping and it has a lovely café in the hotel. Its only 25 minutes from Frankfurt airport and is conveniently located to many other area attractions.

Rooms are hot but still they dont operate AC alrhough for some they do. Very unresponsive; they did not repair AC deapite several complaints. We decided to forego money and got out of hotel loosing money. I will never stay with this property.

Hotel is newly renovated and whilst we were there, gym and sauna facilities were still being worked on. This meant we couldn't make use of them.

Front of house staff were efficient and friendly.

Prepaid for parking for 11 nights but one night the carpark was full. Remediation was to refund parking but that meant I had to drive out looking for street parking. Not a fantastic experience.

The rate was on par for the quality and offering.

Breakfast is quite pricey at 21 euro per person

I made several connected bookings and the complimentary water was not provided upon each new booking start.

Overall a decent hotel but would probably shop around for better value next time. The benefit of the Mercure brand is evident though as I know local hotels can sometimes be well below internationally expected standards in this area!

This hotel is conveniently located about out two blocks from the Rathaus, which serves as a hub for markets and the old town. The hotel doesn't look like much on the outside, but inside it has been tastefully updated with modern features, good sized rooms, and modern decor. My only complaints were the Wifi - it was very poor (I even upgraded to the premium service but it wasnt any better) - and the television, which appears to be set to automatically cut back to the hotel welcome screen after 20 minutes. This means if you are in your room doing work or hanging out, you have to reset the tv to your favorite channel every 20 minutes which is pretty annoying. Other than these two items, this is a good hotel and would stay again.

The hotel was nice, very modern and clean. The shower was poorly designed and (it seemed) no matter how I did it - much water ended up on the floor. Also, the pool was being repaired (which might have been nice to know) and, perhaps the worst thing was that the parking garage (which they charged for) smelled SO AWFUL, like -you-know-what. I was told by a workman that a pipe had broken, but they should have done something about the stench.

We found the hotel to be very well located within Wiesbaden and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast items ran a bit low if you go late on but if you ask they'll bring out more of what you want. The room was kept very clean and despite the building work that was going on at the time of our stay, we were overall happy with the hotel.

Enjoyed our stay here, food was delicious with a great breakfast selection. Room was nice and comfortable even though the bathroom was a bit on the small side. Location of the hotel could not have been better. Unfortunately there were renovations going on during our stay and this did spoil things a bit. Drilling and hammering while eating your breakfast is not a good start to the day. I understand hotels need to update and renovate but they should say that on their website so you can make an informed decision to stay there or not. I would return without hesitation if visiting Wiesbaden again but only if renovation was completed.

Overall good stay. Our room was on the bis stop side so we couldn't enjoy an open window. The hotel is situated in a good area close to everything we needed. Staff members were very warm and courtious. It was nice to have parking available because I didn't see any parking options close by. The bad part was tht they charged €25 per day. A little expensive to me since I am paying €180 a night to stay. Breakfast was spot on and plentiful. It was a overall great experience.

Free basic internet access is very poor, paid for access is only slightly better. Unfortunately for me this a serious issue and I won't be making any plans to stay there again. One other annoyance is the use of very bright and non adjustable lighting in the room deploying very bright LED lighting in the bed side table lamps, so not very pleasing.

If I could fault the Hotel I would but I can't. Just a short walk from the main railway station and a few steps away from the Christmas market. Friendly reception let us check in and go to our room even though we arrived early. Bar staff very friendly in the evening when we called in for quick drink. Restaurant staff friendly and even though breakfast was self service were always checking if everything was ok and did we need more tea, coffee, etc. Excellent choice for breakfast and definitely worth paying the little extra to have the breakfast. Will definitely stay again.

I stayed for 3 weeks on business, throughout this time there were lots of very large families staying with children that let them have the run of the hotel, day and night. The staff where aware of the issue but can not do much to control them other than asking them. The staff had said would speak to them but this had not worked in the past, when they had been taking bar snacks, riding bicycles through the hotel and knocking on peoples doors. I would stay again but would bring a pair of earplugs!

Booked a twin room for 2 adults and 1 child (age 11)
Hotel is modern clean and ideally located in the centre of town.
Only problem we had was with the hotel staff who were dismissive and unhelpful in dealing with some very minor problems (lack of bedding/towels for 3 and broken charger). Additionally at breakfast very rude on checking when the hotel staff member pointed at my daugter and said loudly \"how old is she?\" When I said 11 she said that's ok! Daughter was embarrassed in crowded breakfast room.
Hotel parking expensive €24 overnight.
Overall the hotel was clean, modern and ideally located. Breakfast was also fresh and well presented. Just a shame that poor hotel staff marred this trip.

Pros: Nice, friendly reception. Quick check in. Great bartender (Jorg?) in the hotel bar. Air conditioning in the room. Cons: The hallways on our floor smelled really bad, like a mixture of stale smoke and sewer. Our room was huge but the bathroom was tiny. We did not hear any noise from other rooms, but the noise from the hallway was bothersome. (no unruly guests, just regular hallway traffic that seemed very loud in the room)

Stayed one night on Business. Massive room although on the first floor next to the lift even though I stated I would prefer a room away from the lift on a high floor. Breakfast was excellent - chef on station to cook your eggs - just perfect - well done.

Will stay again!

This hotel has been very nicely renovated and updated recently. Very close to the pedestrian walking area in Wiesbaden with shopping and restaurants. Jorg in the bar was very friendly.
