It couldn't be closer to the train station/ferry terminal. It took all of a minute to walk there. Checkin took one or two minutes. There is an elevator which holds three or four people. Walking in the old town area where the hotel is is a pleasure with all the shops and cafés. It's very close to Kronborg Castle as well. We did not take advantage of the breakfast so I have no comments about it. It's a good value hotel. I believe it's the same hotel where I stayed in 1979 and it is just as fine as it was back then. Highly recommended.

Everyone was kind and the location was lovely! Curtains on the windows would have made a huge difference though. There are just flimsy blinds and some are broken, so if you are visiting in the summer with long hours of sunlight you’ll find the room bright at 5am! Pack a sleep mask for a better night sleep than I.

Hotel Hamlet is full of the type of memorable charm and character that is a welcome change to the sterile blandness of most hotels. From the narrow passage ways to the small elevator, Hotel Hamlet is a charmer. We had the corner suite, thanks to an unexpected upgrade, and it was spacious and quiet.

Just a few minutes walk from the train station and ferry, but unable to hear any public transport noise from my room. It’s a charming older hotel providing you the basic needs when travelling. Located in the Old Town. Walking distance to everything. Kronberg Castle is only a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel. The walls are thin and the floors creak, but I found it just added to the atmosphere. Felt safe as a solo female traveller. Would recommend it.

In general a really lovely stay in the center of Helsingor and to be honest I wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is a small bit dated but this is made up for with the super friendly staff and the excellent breakfast. I really do recommend to get the breakfast as it was an excellent spread and really good value in comparison to others we have experienced. Also our room had the most beautiful view. Would recommend, thank you :)

I'd consider this hotel for overnight stay again however I was bit frustrated... We found bin wasn't cleaned in our room, it wasn't smelling, but anyway, unacceptable and then the same in the toilet, unfortunately it was another story there as it was used diper...
Otherwise, old style furniture looked good and stylish however it needs to be renewed soon. Some hairs found here and there.

I stayed for just one night on a short visit to Helsingor.
Very friendly and helpful at reception, and the room was nice and comfortable. The hotel is in a great location, right in the centre, and also close to the railway station and ferry terminal. Would definitely recommend the Hotel Hamlet.

We booked this room with short notice - The tiny elevator took us and our luggage up to 3 floor the FIRST DAY - Next two days and last day elevator out of order - not easy to manage walk down with luggage. Noise start every morning 7 am with street cleaning etc. 2 very tiny beds where you could hardly turn around before you falling out. No Kettle - NO Coffee/tea arrangement - No safety box-No Iron board ... YES very old hotel and need to be update. No Breakfast was including. Location was the best to say about this hotel. When compare this hotel was simple too expensive compare what you get.

Cozy hotel, great location, good restaurant, and friendly service. Slight confusion while checking in which was quickly remedied. We had a small room with a very comfortable bed and a nice shower. Would stay there again, thank-you!

It could be a very nice hotel but ......
The daily room service was adequate, but the hotel need a major general cleaning. There are areas that obviously have not been cleaned for a long time. This includes fixtures in the bathroom. It was also extremely unappealing to see the fire escapes that covered with mega amounts of bird droppings and other inappropriate material. Even if you do not normally have to walk out these, it gives a very bad impression.
An other area needing attention is the comforters. The filli is clumpy and unpleasant. Especially in a \"superior room\" I would have expected better. Please invent in new waffel-sown comforters that keeps the fill in place

It was a nice hotel with friendly staff. The only drawback was that the sink was very small, which left little room for toiletries. Since the shelf above the sink was damaged and tilted forward, it added to the issue.
I did not eat dinner at the hotel (great sushi just a few streets over) but the breakfast was fine.
