If you stay here, ask for a quiet room away from main street. Many rooms overlook main road thru town which was very noisy all night. Delivery truck arrived and banged around at 3 am. Noise finally settled down about 4 am. Room was very warm - no AC, even tho temps were in mid 50’s F outside at night. Open the window to cool - ups - increases street noise. Unable to sleep. Hotel has car parking, but full when we arrived, so parked in nearby parking lot

If looking for new and modern this isn’t your best choice. But if looking for older with character in the heart of the community and friendly staff (and clean) Hotel Skandia is a great choice.

The staff was lovely and friendly, and the front desk woman (owner?)!helped us with some information about the town and things we wanted to do in the area. Stayed for one night in connection with a business trip. Its a small city hotel located in a residential building- good and decent without anything out of the ordinary. Simple but sufficient breakfast. Note that there is no on-site parking and it takes some luck to park near the hotel It is however very conveniently located next to the train station.

This was a lovely place to stay, particularly in terms of the location. We had a room on the top floor with a view out to the sea and Kronberg Castle, the original of Hamlet's Elsinore. Watching the ferries go back and forth across the sound to Sweden was a pleasure in itself.

Perfectly acceptable for a few nights whilst working in the area. Generally clean, friendly and comfortable. It doesn't have all the facilities of a large hotel but as a small family hotel, they aim to please. It's probably more like a larger bed and breakfast. No issues and so would stay again as location next to the station was ideal.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very comfortable, and the location of the hotel was convenient to the train station, the center of town, and the Kronborg Castle. The breakfast was also very good and offered a wide range of options. We would definitely stay again.

Located in the heart of Helsingør, Skandia is a great place to stay to see all the sites. Of particular interest is KronborgCastle of course, and there a lovely view of it from some of the balconies.

Our room smelled like a sewer, there were heavy sewer smells coming from the bathroom, even with the bathroom door closed, but wafting in whenever it was opened. Next morning we complained but were moved to a dump of a room on the first floor with a fire escape leading directly to the window with broken curtains. When we asked if they didn't have anything better, they offered us our previous room, saying there was nothing the matter with it! Avoid room 445 if you stay here.
They did repair the curtains. The breakfast, which was included, was good. The rooms were clean. Extremely over-priced, but so is everything else in Helsingør and Copenhagen is worse.

The location is beautiful, but it is not a luxury hotel- it is a basic family B&B with a simple breakfast. For more than €200 a night, I was hoping the \"family room\" might be bigger than a normal room with some extra beds crammed in, and that the breakfast might include hot food beyond boiled eggs, and maybe some local specialities such as herring or salmon.

Bathroom smelled like sewer.
The hotel is clean but pretty old; the doors slam, windows are thin. My room was right beside the train station. The biggest issue though was the overwhelming stench of sewer in the bathroom. The floor drain reeked and despite placing a towel over it (which was removed by the cleaners the next day), the smell made me nauseous. The bathroom fan stopped working and there was no exterior window. I almost got sick when I was in the shower with the steam wafting up. Gross is the best word to describe. Second worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

Lovely hotel in a historic building where old and new meet, for example brand new lift behind 60ies outer door, new bathroom fixtures in old style bath, nice old style floor but all well maintained and clean. Staff is nice and friendly.

Hôtel fonctionnel pour une halte a Elseneur. A deux pas de la gare et a une quinzaine de minutes du Château. La chambre n'est pas bien grande mais en étage on peut apercevoir le château et avoir une vue dégagée. C'est calme. Le petit déjeuner a l'essentiel nécessaire, boissons chaudes, jus de fruits, pains confiture et une petite offre de salé.

Läget på hotellet är bra om man vill bo centralt. Vi bodde dock i ett rum högst upp under riktigt varma dagar och det var inget kul… Det gick knappt att vistas under rätt trånga rummet. Fanns en golvfläkt i rummet men hade definitivt behövts en ac. Måste varit närmare 30 grader i rummet.
Vaknade ena morgonen av att det stank bacon. Doften blev starkare ju närmare frukostsalen man kom. Kändes inte så fräscht.
Hygglig basfrukost med bedrövlig äggröra.
Personalen var överlag mycket trevlig!
