We had a slight issue with our room the 2nd night of our stay. We felt that the staff handled this issue very well and were extremely kind. The property is absolutely beautiful with a great location. Beds are comfortable and the hotel is clean. The coffee in the lobby area and the court yard to hang out in are big pluses as well. Would love to stay here again in the future.

In a great and safe location. Was iffy about Roma, but so many places are walking distance or a short ride away. The hotel was clean and as shown in the pics. Would stay again. Only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star was because there is a big street light right outside of the hotel. Unfortunately, with the blinds the hotel currently has, the light still comes thru. Overall great place and location.

I literally paid good money to pick up my own toilet bowl lid and mess with the mechanism in order to flush the toilet for 2 of the 3 nights there !!! The sink was not clean and the handle was suspiciously damp when I checked in. There is no heater and the nights were in the 50's .Their sister hotel which is more upscale offers massages where I discovered a flithy bolster being used under my legs. No attempt to compensate for any of this - it was a major disappointment even though the management was pleasant. Looks are deceiving -bummer

The location was perfect and in walking distance to so many restaurants and bars. I stayed in a room overlooking the street and honestly the street noise wasn't unbearable; I did hear a lot of noise coming from inside the hotel too. They do provide earplugs and a sound machine, which was helpful. The room was clean and airy, but I also went in December when the weather was chillier at night. If anything, I would've wanted a heater at night. They did have fans in the room for when it's warmer, I'm guessing. There is no elevator, so keep that in mind when packing or for accessibility reasons. The staff were really nice and helpful though.

Room met all the minimal needs for a weekend, solo trip stay. Location was fantastic, easy walkable area with tons of coffee shops and restaurants. Atmosphere was a little loud which wasn’t a big issue for me considering I can sleep through it all but definitely something to consider.
My 3 star rating roots from the lack of attention from the owner/general manager…I ran into an issue with my safe which I could not access. Inside it was a ticket to an event I was going to that night. Unfortunately no one could help me until about an hour and a half after I reported this issue. Due to this issue and no one in charge being around I was 30-40 min late to my event and they sure did not care. In fact it took me 12 phone calls until someone picked up the phone….No attentiveness, absolutely no sense of urgency, zero respect, and a high lack of communication between host/guest.
I made a report and have yet to have anyone reach out to me…
Clearly this business does not care for returning customers.
Save your money, and rather support businesses that care.
If you’re looking for a mediocre stay, this is your spot

The property is in a great location. But the bed was hard, the hair dryer failed to emit any hot air and the shower left you spraying the entire bathroom. The gentleman at the front desk were kind but the night shift woman was the opposite.

Rooms were simple but clean. The main feedback I have is that there's no mention of how noisy the hotel is - not from sound on the street, but from inside the hotel. The 20ft ceilings and tiled floors throughout means you hear every person coming, going, talking, whispering or working. Additionally, not all rooms are equal. We had two rooms and neither had windows; one was located in the lobby so every passing voice was heard (the hotel designated the lobby as a quiet space but good luck when people are coming home at 2am). The location was great, staff were nice, but overall the hotel felt more like a hostel.

We stayed in Room 7, which is located on the first floor next to the courtyards. We could hear everything happening in the courtyard. The room is very dated and smelled like sewage most of the time. We also had to wait 4–5 minutes for hot water.

Wow! Staff was super nice and friendly. Due to some tours we had planned we accidentally left some valuables in the room. When we came back from our tour to pick up our luggage and head to the airport staff surprised us with our belongings. Everyone in this facility made us feel safe and well taken care off.

It’s an amazing place to stay at super beautiful and very convenient. The reason I gave the four star rating was because there’s no AC. They did adjust that on Expedia but I can see that I’m bookings, It’s still there. staff was very helpful and having gone alone I felt perfectly safe.

I was very surprised to discover that my room was up a back metal staircase on the fourth floor of this hotel, and that it was extremely rundown and equipped with a dirty sofa. Another guest told me that she also found herself in a room that required a trip down a hall to the bathroom. It is not at all what it claims to be. I spent one night in the horrible room before being moved to a slightly better room that was also full of battered furniture. This is bare bones at best and should not be advertised in any other way.

I loved Santa Casa. The location to me is superb. The staff very nice. It could use some updating in the bathroom as well as the room art. There’s noise at night coming from the restaurant next door but they provide a noise cancellation machine that helps mostly during the week. It’s the perfect hotel if you’re going to be out and about and need to be centrally located.

Great location. Beautifully renovated old Roma house. If your priority is to be close to the Roma-Condesa action, it is a good alternative. Walking distance to a lot of the hip restaurants/bakeries, parks and public transportation
Beware that staying in that part of town comes at a cost, lots of noise. Old houses there are not insulated enough to avoid the noise/temperature etc. The only problem with my room was the bathroom design that lacked any ventilation and the curtain design that let lots of light in through the night. The property provides ear plugs, but bring your sleep mask as well

Locked Out Room at Check-in, Loud Morning Calls

I had an awful check-in experience at the hotel. When I got there in the evening no one was at the front desk and the access code to my room they supplied in the email did not open the door. I tried calling the number that no one answered and messaging them on the app but no one replied and I had no way of getting in touch with them. So I was stuck out of my room for 1-2 hours frantically looking for other hotels to stay at until someone finally showed up seconds before purchasing a last-minute room in town with no other options. It was incredibly frustrating and my plans for the night and meeting up with any groups or events were ruined. They were not able to offer me any discount on my room and I felt there should have been compensation. A discount of future days or another day would’ve made no difference since I had to leave town. Alsooo avoid staying on the first floor. I was woken up at 7 AM Monday morning to the front desk making loud phone calls on speakerphone for some reason and earplugs didn’t make a difference it was so loud. I could hear their whole conversation when I just wanted a little more sleep. They could’ve waited till a little longer and then later in the day to do that when the guests were up. The room itself was decently nice besides all this.

We loved staying at Santa Casa by Tasman. The property had a lot of charm and was in a great neighborhood. The staff was very friendly and it was easy to communicate with them through whatsapp and they were quick to respond. We also loved that there was water available to refill our water bottles in the lobby.

I'm still rating this property 5 stars; however, not all of the rooms have air conditioning. Ours did not, and we thought that it did when we booked it. But, the weather was nice and we were able to open the window and keep the room comfortable, but keep this in mind if the weather is hot.

The location is excellent! It’s right in the middle of everything—so many great restaurants and stores. The front desk help was lovely, especially Karla Sanchez, who promptly moved us to a better room when the one we were in was too bright. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious and beautiful with a gorgeous view of the patio. My only concern was the noise from the restaurant next door. They play music until 2am most nights. Luckily, they provide a white noise machine which worked well to block out the sound. Overall, it was a wonderful stay!

Our stay at Santa Casa Tasman was fantasic. We loved the vibe of the hotel, small, unmarked door leading to a pretty courtyard and well designed rooms. It was a little oasis from busy CDMX, but also right in the middle of all the action. Rooms were well-design without being overdone and staff was friendly and accommodating.

The hotel is in a beautiful and safe area, and it's super walkable to tons of restaurants and bars. Ubers were very accessible.

I arrived a few hours before check-in, and the staff was kind enough to let me drop off my bags, which was a huge help.

I'd seen some reviews mentioning noise, I personally found it to be quiet during my stay.

The only downside was that the room and bathroom was extremely humid, which made it a bit uncomfortable at times.

Overall, a solid stay in a great location!

I was so excited to stay here and parts of the property are very beautiful however, during our stay, we found 3 dead cockroaches in our room. I understand this might happen due to being in the city, but it was still off putting. The staff offered a deep cleaning but I’m pretty sure they were laughing behind my back after I told them the issue. The shower could be cleaner but the room was nice. Beware of this location, it’s right next door to a club so it can get noisy on Fridays and Saturdays. Overall, it was a nice stay, but I definitely won’t be coming back.

One minor note is that the rooms are a little small, so if you have a lot of luggage you may need to fully unpack into the wardrobe to make space.

The hotel is located in a great neighborhood , tons of restaurants , shops and very close to public transportations .

The hotel is charming , the courtyard and decor are lovely . I deducted points bc my room was the not cleanest , there was a visible stain on the bed frame that gave me the ick .

Housekeeping also came late in the day ( after 5pm ), which was also the time that I would be getting ready to go out for the evening , so most days my room was not straightened up .

I read in reviews that the area outside of the hotel was very noisy , I did not find this to be true ( my stay included a weekend ) , it was much quieter than me neighborhood in NYC . The hotel does provide a noise machine and ear plugs . They also have a filtered water station in the main lobby .

I would stay here again , for the cost and convenience , but would request that the room is cleaned before I arrive .

The ambiance of the entrance and lobby are super cool and have a great vibe but my room was pretty sub par...worn bed/pillows/linens, poor water pressure, no coffee or drinkable water access in the room. Cute hotel but with terrible neighbors

No issues with the room or facilities. The staff was accommodating and promptly responded to questions or concerns including fixing issues with our TV. However, our room was right next to the bar, which played music loudly until 1-3 AM on some weekdays and weekends. The provided earplugs were helpful and allowed us to fall asleep, but did not enjoy dealing with the noise. Location is nice, a mostly quiet street. The bakery across the street was amazing and would definitely recommend.

They said they were trying to get this issue addressed, so maybe once that happens it will be worth booking again.

Santa Casa is a beautiful historic property and we really felt welcome there by the staff. Our room faced the street so there was a bit of noise, but the hotel provided ear plugs and that helped. The bed was comfy and having a separate sitting room was nice. There are no elevators, which is probably true of all the historic hotels. Highly recommend Panaderia Rosetta for breakfast. We also booked two tours through the property, the Temples of the Sun and the Moon, and Lucha Libre. Both were fantastic! The tour guides were very knowledgeable and we learned so much about these cultural and historical Mexican icons.

Found the perfect stay in Roma Norte

This hotel is amazing! The location is incredibly convenient, making it easy to explore Roma Norte. I loved how I could take time to wander the area, return to the hotel for a quick rest, and escape the hustle and bustle of the streets. I also visited La Condesa a few times, which is just a short 15-minute walk away. The taco place beside this hotel does have events pretty late in the evening, Earplugs are stored in the night stand if needed.

This hotel had a great location, and was next to so many good bars and restaurants . There were a couple that played music late into the night, but we were provided with earplugs and sound machines which were helpful. Our room was also right next to a streetlight that came through the blinds so it was not the darkest come night time. Overall though great experience and location.

Santa Casa is more of an apartment rental than a hotel. Do note for those who are light sleepers may struggle as it is next to a karaoke bar that goes late in the night. You will be able to hear other hotel guests walking down the stairs. Do note there storage for before and after is limited space perfect for carry on but for check in luggage bags.
Overall convenient location!

Excellent location

Facilities fairly basic but the apartment was very clean and the staff were welcoming. The location is excellent. Roma is a wonderful neighbourhood.
