Casa Roma Norte was the perfect place to stay in Roma Norte. . Friendly staff, delicious breakfasts, centrally, located to most attractions, and a very comfortable bed to sleep on. If you are looking for a good boutique hotel in Mexico City, Casa Goliana should be the place you pick. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful week long stay.

We loved our stay here. It’s in a great location and the small hotel is beautiful. The staff were very kind and helpful to us when we asked about recommendations. They even offered to make reservations for us and gave us transit cards when we inquired about public transit. We plan on coming back yearly and staying again.

Perfect place for Roma Norte

Perfect location. Extremely comfortable bed in a good sized room, and wonderfully welcoming staff and overall feel. Casa Goliana doesn't feel like a hotel, in a good way. It feels as though you've lived there. Although it is an old house and the floors are creaky, I never heard any other guests unless they were in the walking in the hallway. I much prefer this home to the sterile copy/paste hotels from major chains.

A gem in such a huge city.

A gem of a hotel in such a huge city. We based ourselves at Casa Goliana for 7 days and couldnt have chosen a better place. Exceptionally clean with very friendly and helpful members of staff. We had a suite at the front of the hotel, huge comfortable bed, separate living room and a nice large bathroom. We even chilled in the room on a couple of occasions as it felt so relaxing to do so and if you have a Netflix or Amazon account, you can access them through the Smart TV in your room. Breakfast was more than adequate, with the staff providing fresh avocado each day for us when it was found we were vegetarian....thank you. The hotel provides refreshments ie drinks and snacks, to purchase but there is a convenience store directly opposite for these too.
The hotel's location is excellent, numerous restaurants and bars nearby, including a superb Asian restaurant directly opposite. Condesa and Chapultepec Park are within easy walking distance too.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone wishing to visit CDMX.

Stylishly decorated privately owned boutique hotel. Very clean & quite inside. Charming sunlite room for complimentary breakfast w great espresso, French press and regular coffee at the ready! Concierge staff Alex & Jasmine were exceptionally helpful charting maps, recommending sites and making reservations. Went above and beyond, even printed our boarding passes. Friendly security guard at door. We rented 2 rooms for 3 nights. Will stay there again next time. Mexico City is amazing! Jennifer, Marcia & Michele

Casa Goliana is a charming bed and breakfast in a superb location in Roma. The staff was helpful and super friendly even before we arrived, securing a great guide for our visit to Teotihuacan, making our first night dinner reservation so we could easily head out upon our evening arrival, and then always ready with tips on local food and drink spots when we just wanted to walk somewhere. Breakfast spread was the same each day but with such a broad array of options we never considered leaving to go elsewhere. Though we did pick up fresh baked cardamom buns at nearby Panaderia Rosetta!! Definitely a score to be able to walk there! My rating is a 5 for how perfectly it met our needs and the comfort level but gave it 4 stars (would have given it 4.5 if I could have!) only because I hold 5 stars for well executed luxury properties.

Something unique about the property was that you had to give the key back to the front desk every-time you left, and when you returned you received the key from the security guard. The security guard and the staff were very professional and took their job seriously.

It is an old restored building with lots of character located in a nice area. The staff was super helpful. It being an older building there are no elevators, so if you are not too keen on walking up and down the stairs, find another place to stay though the staff will carry your bags to and from your room.

The building looks like it has a parking lot but it doesn't. So if you arrive by car take precautions. The host was amazing.

Charming small boutique hotel

The house is very beautiful, with lovely design touches and a nice terrace outside. The rooms are clean and spacious. I did find however there wasn’t a ton of privacy and you could here people coming and going which I was in my room from the top floor and below. Because it’s has old gorgeous hardwood floors they do squeak when anyone is walking about. Location is perfect. Amazing restaurants within walking distance

Casa Goliana is in a good location in La Roma. The daily breakfast is good; two of the three mornings there was a freshly prepared hot dish (a tamale one day, a quesadilla another). Staff members were all friendly and helpful. There is 24h security but the area feels safe walking around alone during daylight hours. I was disappointed that the booking didn't mention that all the rooms are NOT air conditioned. Further, I ended up with the smallest room in the hotel and the smallest of its class but I didn't get a rate discount for this. The worst part of the room was that it faced the inner courtyard. Since I had to keep the window open (no air conditioning), any noise, from people coming in late at night to the staff preparing breakfast early morning, was really disruptive. Also, an outside stairwell was right outside my window, so hotel guests could look in on me in bed. The only way to preserve privacy and quiet was to keep the window and the blackout curtains closed, but this was impossible due to the mysterious lack of air conditioning. The other rooms in the hotel all had air con. Overall, the room was SO overpriced for for being the worst room in the hotel.

It was such a pleasure to stay at this hotel. Every single staff member was courteous and knowledgeable. We were given dinner suggestions and offered help when we couldn’t figure out if the Piramide’s museum was open on a Monday. (It is) our room was spotless and there was turn down service as well. The neighborhood was fantastic! We enjoyed every part of our stay in this great hotel. I would recommend it to anyone.

A Mexican - European feel

In short, this was an excellent place to stay in CDMX. The staff was completely accommodating and most gracious. The accomodations were tastefully done with sophistication - more classic styling but not in a stuffy, stifling way. I usually prefer a very contemporary approach, however enjoyed this B and B's style very much.

The location is perfect for exploration of the Condesa, Polanco and Roma areas of the city. Many excellent restaurants nearby also.

The best staff, ever

The staff is what makes this place shine! They are gracious and kind and will do whatever it takes to help you out. Kudos to all of them.
The hotel is a beautiful old building. The room was adequate, the bathroom small. Like any old building,you compensate. Floors creak, doors have gaps in them, so privacy is somewhat compromised. TV had only one channel. Charming outdoor garden. Ask for a room that faces the street, otherwise could be claustrophobic.
Breakfast was simple but adequate. Always felt safe because of the doorman. Restaurants and bars around but poor lighting so we called uber to get home.
In my opinion this was an expensive place to stay.

We generally enjoyed our short stay, however after a long trip we were very much looking forward to a hot shower and a nap. However, after we got into our room and attempted to shower we realized there was no hot water. When calling the front desk they said the whole building was experiencing issues with hot water and it would be fixed very soon. We decided to sleep and were woken by a knock and a repairman had to enter the room. It wasn’t until the next morning that we were able to take a hot shower. Kind of a bummer.

we stayed here on our last night in Mexico City. Location was amazing, and the staff were top-notch. They gave us plenty of advice on the best places to dine and check out the local area. The rooms are very tastefully decorated, and are spacious. Breakfast was also included. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Mexico City

The hotel is small and very welcoming with a highly professional and helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend Casa Goliana to friends and would be happy to return there for another visit.
The neighborhood is safe and interesting to walk with good restaurants nearby. The rates seemed quite reasonable for the experience we enjoyed.

The staff was very welcoming (and spoke excellent English, which we didn't find in a lot of other places in Mexico) in this boutique hotel. Beautifully renovated building and with high ceilings. Common areas and rooms (at least our room) are fresh, bright and open. Very comfortable and pleasant place to stay. The only downside is that the bathroom is a little tight, but they had to work with the space they had. You had to ring the bell to get in (bell is promptly answered). No signs outside that this is a hotel that we could see. Breakfast is a buffet of bread, fruit, hard boiled egg, cheese and ham, yogurt, juice

We spent 5 nights at Casa Goliana and could not have asked for a more positive experience. Each member of the staff was professional, helpful and very gracious. The building is well-located and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was entirely satisfactory; I especially enjoyed the variety of fresh fruits each morning, and the availability of an espresso machine. The only small drawback was the size of our room, which was on the ground floor and had two single beds. It would be fine for a single person but was a bit cramped for two of us. It did, however, have a lovely, spacious bathroom, and I would not let the size of the bedroom keep me from staying there again. I would recommend this charming spot to anyone.

This was a very awesome stay for us. The staff was great, as they were both friendly as well as responsive and helpful. They definitely went out of the way to make sure we had a great time inside of the hotel as well as in our time overall in CDMX.

The location was perfect for being able to walk to restaurants, coffee shops, bars, parks, and shopping. Uber is convenient and cheap enough to get to Zocalo or places farther away.

The street can be a bit loud, but not terrible -- they actually provided white noise machines and ear plugs.

Art, architecture & heritage with a caring team

The caring attitude of the whole Goliana team made our stay very special. They instantly made us feel welcome and none of our needs was overlooked. Marina was very knowledgeable and made wonderful suggestions when we needed advice on what to do or see which we had not yet experienced on any of our three previous Mexican adventures. Juan Pablo guided us to just what we were looking for in restaurants. With only 8 guest rooms it felt like a home, and we enjoyed interesting discussions with the other guests over excellent breakfasts which were included.

Beautiful, historic property + great staff

The first two nights we spent in the queen-sized room upstairs (there are only eight rooms), which was lovely. However, I would recommend going with the king-sized rooms facing the street if possible.
We spent the second two nights in the king-sized suite downstairs. Giant room with a very large living room, separated by a nice bathroom (all of the rooms are shower-only except one). In both rooms, the beds were incredibly comfortable with nice bedding, the AC was easy to work out (not so, other CDMX places we've stayed), storage is plentiful. Both rooms have big windows and great light. We didn't get much street noise at night; we use a white noise app that helps wherever we stay. Although no one is going to Mexico City for the peace & quite, this hotel is overall a quiet oasis in a wonderful, noisy city.
Everyone at Casa Goliana is lovely and accommodating, For me, the continental breakfast wasn't my favorite, but as a self-confessed fussy eater, I'm hard to please. Suffice it to say it's a fully-functional Continental Breakfast and will start your day just fine.
The neighborhood is amazing - there is so much to explore, we couldn't possibly see it all. Very close to the Mercado Roma, Cocina Conchita (amazing seafood) and Condesa is walking distance, or an easy Uber away.
We would definitely love to stay there again and highly recommend this elegant, lovely, boutique hotel.

We enjoyed our experience at CG, beautifully decorated with extra attention to detail. Rooms and bedding very comfortable, no noise...very quiet! Three minor things that would push it up to five stars for us:
1- Better lighting for applying our make up :) perhaps one attatche to wall by sink to be able to use it to check back of hair!
2- Full length mirror to make sure our outfits fit appropriately :)
