Great location! Very Safe. Excellent cafe, bakery, grocery, street vendors right out the front door. Water pressure was good, and beds comfy. We slept well all 3 nights! The front desk girls were helpful and friendly. The decor and room set up is kind of funky/modern, but overall we enjoyed our stay. I would stay again, given the price and location. But it is not luxurious by any stretch.

Our booking was cancelled one week before we were due to arrive. I immediately booked alternate accommodation through a different platform.
I then revived 8 emails and 6 phone calls from Expedia personal wanting to book with them. After the 3rd phone call I was very clear that I did want to receive any further correspondence from them. I then received another 3 phone calls and 2 more emails asking me to rebook with them.
I just received this request to rate my stay and given that it didn’t happen, I have rated the whole experience. The hotel is probably very nice but since they cancelled my books the whole experience been a shambles. Won’t be booking with them again.

We had really bad experience with this hotel. Although the location is excellent, it's horrible otherwise:

(1) Upon check-in, we had to change rooms multiple times:
-- the first room is a corner room. Very small. No sitting area. No window. The shower/toilet is on one side of the bed. The sink is on the other side of the bed. One needs to walk across the room around the bed just to wash hands after using toilet. And there is a LOUD beep from the hallway every couple of minutes. Sounded like low battery of a smoke detector. We were told the sound/beep cannot be fixed until the next day and offered to change us to a different room. In fact, the beeping sound was NOT fixed for the entire week we stayed at the hotel.
-- for the second room, the door could not be locked properly. We were told that it was due to the battery issue. They tried to change the battery but couldn't.
-- for the third room, we could still hear the beep from the hallway. After the first night of sleep, I had 5 bites on my arms. These bites became big blisters later on. I went to see a doctor and he said that it's spider bites.

(2) The shower water pressure is non-existent. The water temperature change randomly from hot to cold.

(3) No windows to see outside.

(4) They would give only one keycard for two people in a room. It's a problem when one person becomes sick.

(5) Hand/bath towels were missing sometimes. The soap dispenser didn't work sometimes.

Don't ruin your vacation with this hotel.

Nice hotel for a short stay. Breakfast was good, the staff were friendly, and the room was clean. I didn’t like that there was construction going on, and they very noisy since early in the morning. Also there is a parking lot next to the hotel, and there is constant noice during the day.

The hotel was ok but I don't know why it was rated so high by other reviewers. My room felt very dusty as if it had been set and left vacant for a while. The second day it felt much better after it was cleaned. The (very small) room is not very comfortable though it has the basics (bed, private bathroom). The best things about this property are the location, free breakfast, air conditioned rooms, elevator.

LOUD LOUD LOUD LOUD. Don’t trust any other review on this site that gloat about this hotel.

Most importantly, this place is LOUD. Each room has a heavy metal door that has to be slammed shut. So at night you hear endless “SLAM” in the echoing hallway. And that echoing hallway carries the voice of every inconsiderate drunk stumbling in the wee hours of the morning.

Next our floors were constantly gross and I don’t think the floor was ever mopped, maybe swept, but definitely not mopped.

Finally, it’s a two person room with barely space for one person to store anything, no storage at all. There wasn’t even a space or chairs to relax in room. Make sure you take notice of the crib style bed, it sucks if someone has to use the bathroom at night, they will wake the other.

I loved almost everything about the stay. I wasn't thrilled with the restroom walls and think they need attention. They had obvious crud on them and hadn't been wiped down. With that being said, the staff, the room, the hotel itself was wonderful and i would happily stay there again. The price was so reasonable, especially for what you get. Id recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was always very friendly and helpful 24 hours a day. The street corner nearby is great with a pharmacy, convenience store, a couple of taco vendors, a CDMX coffee chain that's excellent. The street itself has a nice organic grocery store and the famous panaderia Rosetta. Also just a couple blocks away from Calle Alvaro Obregon which has tons of great restaurants and shops. Overall the hotel is clean and nice and if you just need a nice base to explore the city it's pretty perfect.

The space was quite nice. We had a one year old with us, and booked a suite which gave us two bedrooms/one bathroom in our room which was perfect. Very quirky and fun, the breakfast was nice, staff very helpful, excellent location (highly recommend the street tacos right outside). The biggest downside was that the floor of our room was quite dirty. We requested it be mopped and it was better, but still left your socks (and the toddler’s hands) dirty. I would recommend this hotel, but maybe not with a child who is constantly on the floor.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. Beds and pillows were nice and firm after a long day of walking. The breakfast was nice and simple. Good to grab a bite before your real big meal at your destination. The coffee machine was nice as well. The location was great. Very walkable and lots of cafes around. Uber was great for further away destinations and super cheap. I was worried about other reviews stating it was loud, but we didn’t have that issue at all! Very cute and artsy hotel!

I loved this hotel!
Even thought the rooms might be a little bit small.
The area, the neighborhood, the staff and breakfast were awesome.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The guy and the girl that works in the front desk are really friendly. The security guy is very nice and friendly too.
Breakfast might be a little simple but it’s really good.

Traveled solo for the first time to Mexico City, the area was super convenient, centrally located and I felt safe all hours. The hotel is staffed well, breakfast is basic but okay, really enjoyed the balcony on top floor. I was placed in a very small room near the entrance that was loud my first night, and I asked to switch rooms. The hotel moved me the next day and the room was much better, so thank you HotelMX! You’re given two bottles of water each time your room is cleaned, which is also very nice. If you’re looking for a good location near restaurants, a pharmacy, cafes, shopping this is a great place. It’s a clean and safe space to rest your head after seeing the sites of the city.

We really enjoyed our stay. Free breakfast was OK and had vegan options with fruit and vegetables daily. It was a great location. The cleaning staff gave us extra towels and trash bags when they realized we had a toddler with us which we really appreciated. The bathrooms don’t have ventilation so it got muggy quickly after showers. I’d go for the suites. They upgraded us when they realized we had a toddler which we really appreciated. Two pairs of family members were in the smaller rooms and it was even muggier after showers. Very friendly staff.

There was nowhere to keep all of our clothes. There was many wood areas that could have been used to place hooks. Lots of hooks to hang a bag a purse a coat jacket a blouse pants etc. !!! There were only 3 hangers??? My husband and I had many linen shirts and pants that had to be thrown in our suitcase. Oddly the ironing board was in a weird place. Put it in the corner and put 6 hooks on that wood wall. Hooks when you walk in to hang things. I don’t want to put my things on the floor. Also when you walk into the room to the left we could have used 3 shelves to organize our things with. It was a bad use of space. We bought lots of crafts that we had to put on the dirty floor. Whomever designed the rooms for function did not know what they were doing. Also the man at the entrance maybe a security guard during our last several days never looked at us never greeted us and seemed angry. We all thought it was strange.

A friend and I stayed at the Hotel MX Roma for one night after returning to CDMX from Oaxaca. We stayed in the one suite the hotel has available; although I had expected a living room with two adjoining bedrooms, it was more like two bedrooms connected in a shotgun style. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel whole-heartedly. On the plus side, the location is amazing. You are in the heart of Roma Norte, and we were able to walk to our dinner reservation at El Tigre Silencioso and to get cocktails at Bar Las Brujas. The rooms are relatively spacious and modern. However, our stay had problems from the start. The hotel states that 3 p.m. is check-in time, and we arrived around 3:15 p.m. The receptionist told us that our room was not ready, and she could not give us an estimate as to when it would be ready. Ultimately, we were able to get into our room a little bit past 4:30 p.m. The receptionist gave us one key for two people. The power in the rooms only work if a key is left inserted in a slot by the door, making it a problem later in the evening. Additionally, the air conditioner was broken in one of the bedrooms. A staff member came to help, and his only fix was to turn off the power for a minute. The AC did come back on briefly, but then it stopped working again. I decided it was not worth it asking the staff to help again. Instead, I waited for my friend to leave for her early flight at 2 a.m. and switched to her room, where the air conditioning worked.

The location of this hotel is perfection! It crosses Calle Colima which is an amazing street that has a number of notable must-go-to restaurants, cafes, and food stalls on your CDMX trip. These include Jenni’s Quesadilla’s (literally on the corner), Blanco Colima, Rosetta, Panaderia Rosetta, Tierra Garat (MX answer to Starbucks). The downside to staying here are the rooms. I stayed in a standard room. There was not enough lighting in the room. Even with all the lights turned on the room was dim. The rooms are not as clean as they could be. There was dust on the shelving above the bed where the service phone was located, and the phone looked a little greasy itself. The bathroom walls could do with a little scrub down or at least a paint job. I was not mad at it. You get what you pay for. Overall I felt safe. I would just suggest you maybe bring some of your own mini travel cleaning products. I always do. The staff was nice. They were kind and helpful. I would stay here again for the location alone.

This place is as described. It is in a great location and many places are walkable from the hotel. I do wish they gave us towels when we arrived to our room. We had to ask for some and they didn’t supply us extras for the bathroom, so we had none to dry our hands or for use when getting out of the shower. Aside from that the rooms were nice and they gave us water after every cleaning service. They had flexible checkin hours which was nice since we had a late flight coming into Mexico. All the staff were very friendly.

Great Location, Clever Style

Love the location of this hotel in the heart of the trendy Roma neighborhood. Hoteles MX is a budget hotel chain, but each hotel has creative and clever design details, and I like that a lot. I felt the rates were rather high for a budget chain at this property, but the fab location is surely the reason why. The free breakfast is a selling point. Overall, I'd say this isn't for travelers seeking luxury, but it's good if you're looking for a comfy, kind of cool hotel in one of Mexico City's best neighborhoods.

They have a little table like a dinning room that is very uncomfortable and you can sit down very easy, the tabke was foldable and did not have any secure or lock we did not notice that and when we were about eat our dinner the table fall and all our coffe, hot meal and pastries ended on the floor making a huge mess. Very sad went to complaint and they did not even care about the fact that my dinner was trased I lost 30 dollars total. That is a really unsafe part of the room need to fix as soon as possible.
