We are regulars there. and are back again in April. The hotel is huge, in a quiet, out of town location and can have 500-800 guests at a time. Lots of free parking. It is being refurbished from 6th floor down. Communal chairs and tables are mostly new. The Spa needs massive investment to re-open so don't rely on it being open soon. Food is OK and was slightly better than it was in November but they cant do miracles at the price points they offer. Fish dishes are good. They cater to guests from all over Europe so you may need to find the staff members that can fully understand quickly spoken accented English. (Or French or German or even Spanish as they use a lot of Dutch interns) . For us as we are not big drinkers, HB is better value than AI while the main Spa pools are closed.

Large hotel in quiet part of quieter resort. Lots of space and sunbeds available. Room kept clean. Staff friendly to us. Nice Christmas decorations especially the tree. Food could be better but is fair for the price paid. Entertainment was more subdued (=good!) than on previous visits but a lot depends on clientele at time which is very different in Winter to August!!

There is much I like about his hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and I also like the scale of the hotel which is colossal. I also enjoy the breakfast and dinner buffet and have never been stuck for something to eat. The location is set around a 20 min walk back from the beach front which again I quite like as it's quieter and more tranquil.
The major downside are the rooms which are very dated and clearly were put together prior to the smartphone/tablet era judging by the décor and lack of connectivity. From what I gather some of the rooms have already been upgraded to more modern standards so clearly plans are afoot for an upgrade.

The food was very basic and repetitive. The pool area was not cleaned well over the evening, so in the morning there was old food and rubbish everywhere. And the smell of vomit. The rooms were cleaned, but if you wanted to use the safe in your room it was €4 a day extra. The staff did not make us feel welcome, you had to que for a long time to buy any drinks. On a plus side the evening entertainment was very good.

we arrived at around midnight and was offered a cold meal, however we had already eaten at the airport. would definitely say that they are under staff but the staff are over worked. the location was perfect with a short walk into the town. the hotel stated that there was 3 restaurants however we only saw one in which the food was reparative and usually luke warm. The entertainment was good with a range of different shows. We was quite disappointed on the last day of our holiday as we had checked out of our room at 12pm and put our bag in the luggage room, we went down to the pool and then got changed ready for the airport. we then tried to go for dinner in which we was told was not included in the last day of our holiday even though we didn’t get dinner on the first day either due to a late arrival. i’ve never known a hotel to do this before.

Ok stay avoid room 117 otherwise you'll have constant sewage smells changed room but took a day out of our adventure. Had to wait until 1500 the next day to check out and in again. Which literally took a day out of our holiday. Rooms very clean. Food excellent.

This was our third holiday here over several years.
Sadly the hotel now needs refurbishment, worn carpets threadbare in places and tired rooms and decor. a clean sheet put on my bed was discoloured brown.
The staff in the restaurant were excellent and the food choice sat well for a 3 star. We enjoyed the visiting children’s football teams. Sadly the spa is closed for refurbishment so that’s a start. We love the out of town location but overall we were so very disappointed .

Disappointing Return Visit – Not Coming Back

This was my third stay at Hotel Beatriz Costa and Spa, and unfortunately, it will be my last.

While the room was spacious and clean, it felt very dated and in need of a refresh. The staff were generally polite, but reception service was lacking and unhelpful at times.

The food, however, was the biggest letdown. It was genuinely terrible—meats were flavourless, vegetables were bland, and some dishes were so bad I actually had to spit them out. For an all-inclusive hotel, the dining experience was extremely poor. No kettle in the room. On our last day the lift stopped working and we are on the 4th floor.

We specifically chose this hotel again for the spa, only to find it’s no longer included in the all-inclusive package. Worse still, the spa is in a dangerously poor condition—completely unacceptable for a place that markets itself around wellness and relaxation.

It’s clear that standards have dropped significantly since my previous visits. I’m very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. There are much better options in the area.

Hotel lobby etc is nice, but the rooms are dated and a very poor standard with furniture almost falling apart, and first and dust everywhere. You have to pay for kettle, cups, tea/coffee in the room, as well as basics such as a safe. The only positive is the amazing staff who are very kind, informative and want to help

The hotel and rooms are dated but all.areas were clean. Spa area was lovely, very relaxing but again, dated and loose tiles on bottom of pools, jacuzzis not all.working. Charged €18 at spa reception, even though hotel receptionist said would be free entry, I challenged this and was told I had to pay. Food was excellent but need more staff to take drinks orders etc. All in all good hotel but very dated.

We are genuinely puzzled by some very harsh negative reviews. Yes, the hotel could do with some TLC but it needs to be compared to its Canarian competitors in the same price range. And there we find it good value. We again found it clean enough, bedding and towels changed regularly and with plenty to eat, Large rooms with private balconies nearly all with Sea/Pool views. We had a few maintenance issues, all of which were resolved quickly with the longest taking 48 hours. Food included roast joints, many species of fish, stroganoff, lots of salads, fruit etc. Being mid Atlantic, we would particularly encourage people to try all the varieties of fish even if you have never heard of them. Cost a fortune in UK. Admittedly they are not so good at chips. The staff are friendly and helpful, almost family. Sometimes though they are very busy, there can be 800 guests all wanting breakfast at the same time. They cater to guests from all over Europe so not all the staff are English fluent. Pick quieter times and double check they do understand your English. We tend to use a lot of cliches, idioms and sometimes say “can you” when we mean “will you”. Noise pretty much goes by 11.30pm although the Ents team will get louder as the older winter crowd are replaced by the summer families. Yes, the Spa needs some work but closing it would be a big impact on the guests for that month. Unlike mainland hotels, this hotel is nearly full all year round. And a shout out to Ellis

The staff are all friendly , especially the entertainment team.
The pool area is beautiful! Lots of space and towels are available daily.
Food was ok, the all inclusive catered for all tastes. The drinks were also good.
It’s a 4 Euro taxi ride to restaurants/ bars if you fancy a change.

Complete nightmare got to hotel to find out I had to go to there sister hotel paid for a taxi there an d had to pay for a taxi when got to there other hotel to be delighted with we won’t pay for taxi. The hotel is very grand with old-fashioned furniture which is a little faded, but I quite liked it. Plenty of facilities, although the Spa is extra and I didn't opt for it. Breakfast was inclusive, and excellent with an extensive buffet selection. So much to eat that I didn't bother having lunches during my stay!

Not for everyone but if you like space, peaceful surroundings and easy parking, AI is great value. If you want easy access to beaches, nightlife and 5 star food look elsewhere. Ask for a room number above the manila bar on each floor ( 134 onwards , 234 onwards, 334.. etc) We are regular visitors so we may get slightly better reactions from the staff than first-timers but the staff are wonderful to us. Spa was out of action for 10 days of our trip but we had permission to use the one in the sister hotel so it was a nice day out.

Restaurant needs good clean, chaotic, no organisation, waiting for tables, queues for breakfast. Food very basic - burgers, sausages on show cooking section most meals. Desserts good. Piana Bar carpet very old and worn. Garden area looked after but pool area not washed down. Bedroom clean but dated. Evening entertainment poor. \"Premier Clients\" programme just started - pool and restaurant sections cordoned off. On edge of resort bus provided twice in morning and once in afternoon.

This is a very large hotel in a quiet part outside of a quieter resort. The food is better than some reviews suggest given the need to feed 600 people quickly, but seems to suffer on a Sunday and can get repetitive in stays over a week. The hotel and some furnishings are showing their age. Night time entertainment is variable. It is though good value, the staff are great and we go multiple times a year. Just do you research BEFORE booking to make sure its what you want in a holiday.

The best way of reaching the hotel from the airport is to take a taxi. Journey time is approximately 15 minutes at a cost of ~€22.

My room was on the 2nd floor, furnished to a reasonable standard (a little worn perhaps) and included a safe and fridge. The variety and standard of food which was available at both the breakfast and dinner buffet was good and there were always plenty of dishes to choose from.

Access to the beach and waterfront involves a 15-20 minute walk downhill through some housing and commercial areas, although the hotel runs a shuttle bus service. There is also a “Spar” supermarket on route which was handy for picking up some supplies.

Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend for both couples and families.

Comfortable hotel, sun was very hot on the balcony in the late afternoon. Hotel abit dated, curtains didn't open and close easily so weren't fully open most of the time. Rooms fairly roomy, bed very comfortable, good average fair selection but warm rather than hot.

The hotel is exceptionally spacious with a fantastic experience, the pools and views are stunning, the rooms are very spacious with a large balcony, they cater for all types of peope, we have an Autisic Adult in our family and the hotel are amazing with them and have disabled facilities, we also have food allergies and the hotel is very accommodating with this, the entertainment is brilliant with a lage entertainment room and an extraordinary quiet spacious room if you want a quiet evening to read a book or chat with friends, the Spa is available for free on all inclusive everyday of your stay, and they have a wonderful animation team, you get a very good quality for a reasonable price

nothing would make me return to this hotel again. dated finiture worn out and stained carpets but most of all the food offered which was the same most days and only WARM. This hotel could be the best in Costa Teguise as it is big and impressive until you enter it. Built in the middle of nowhere with nothing around it. It usued to provide transport to the town but that has now stopped how sad as the pool area is top class with many sunbeds on offer. Spend some money and bring it back before it is to late. Having stayed in many hotels in Lanzorote this is One quickly forgotten

We were delighted to receive an upgrade to a junior suite. The bedroom was very large and whilst the bed was very large, we did not find it comfortable. The mattress appeared to be a poor quality memory foam type. There was also an uncomfortable waterproof mattress cover. Connected to the bedroom was a living room with 2 single beds, armchairs and sofa. Bathe the bedroom and living room had a balcony overlooking the pool and the west which made for a lovely sunset.
The public areas were spacious and nicely appointed.
The restaurant was ‘ok’. We had booked half board. Breakfast and Dinner were buffet style. The hotel did not have an a la carte restaurant. The hotel was busy and staff were struggling to turn over tables. Drinks arrived quickly.
The Dinner buffet was ‘ok’ very little choice for vegetarians or vegans, staff were struggling to replenish food. Salad options were basic, no cheese, it the roast pork was delicious.
Breakfast was better, many versions of eggs (fried, boiled, scrambled) cheese, tomato, bread, fruit etc. Tea pots were available and a nice selection of teas.
The pool area was clean and well maintained, the music and PA was at times too loud and intrusive.
We were able to extend check out time from 12 noon to 3pm for a reasonable cost of 15€.
The hotel is on the edge of town with. I restaurants or bars close by.
Overall we were pleased, the hotel facilities and rooms met 4* standard but felt the restaurant and food did not not.

Very nice stay at the Beatriz Costa and spa.
Staff very helpful and friendly and the animation team especially engaging and fun.
All inclusive, so eat a bit too much, but as it’s about a mile to the beach doing that each day kept the weight down !!
Steer clear of the self service wine tap if you are a wine connoisseur. Also the cocktails are from boxes, and not very appealing. But quality San Miguel beer on tap so happy with that.
Spa is fairly small but has plenty to offer and was also quiet when we used it. Nice oasis away from children as it’s adults only.

Overall great stay and would stay again, especially for a winter break.

Avoid reception

Avoid reception unless you really need too. More senior staff very abrubt and rude. Belittle their own staff in front of you, not professional for front of house service. Somre reception try to help and make promises but can not follow through. Best stay away from reception for a nice time.
Hotel is lovely. Very pleasant but room decor is dated but not an issue. Stunning views over Costa Teguise. Breakfast OK. Did do full board. Maybe will do next time. Hotel was made to look festive very well done. Limited food choices if you are not full board. Vending machine didn't work. Free water stations OK. Didn't use spa as all extra costs (including sauna. Misleading on hotels. Com page). Didn't get the WiFi so used own roaming. Only short stay so no problem. Sun beds OK but they do fill quickly. Free pool towels great. Taxi to Costa Teguise good value 3.9 euro. And quick to get from reception. Bit tougher get taxi back from Costa tequise. Walked back once. That was OK but wouldn't want to make regular walk. Visible complaining noticed at reception by other residents that all fell on deaf ears and upsetting to overhear swearing. Overall Hotel is okay and we would return at the right price.

A complete gem of a hotel set on a hill. Lovrly big room with a great view. Lots of pools to chose from and a jacuzzi one too. Cocktails were a reasonable price. The food was simply out of this world with a massive choice of ig too. I felt spoilt. Every night is some entertainment that usually finishes by 11, it was very good. I was so impressed with it I have booked again for hext year

Great location - only 10 mins walk to resort centre. Lots of pools - and one quite warm for November - and lots of loungers. Spa Centre was good. Room was good size with great view. Food was fine - plenty to choose from each time (some dishes could be a little warmer). Friendly and helpful staff. Good hotel overall and absolutely fine for our holiday - don’t believe the negative reviews.

Fantastic family hotel!

Amazing staff! The animation team are fantastic! Really took so much time with our daughter, she loved them. Brilliant kids disco too.
Food was amazing! Different theme each night so was never repetitive. So much choice at each meal time.
Rooms very clean. Pool was great, one is heated too. Activities on all day, every day. Overall a brilliant family hotel!

The pool and the pool side area were great just don’t understand why we needed to pay 10 Euros for towels.

Got told off for helping myself to water(!) at dinner because not all-inclusive! Woke up with ants in my bed one morning. Had to buy my own pillow as hotel ones very uncomfortable. Loved pools, one heated, one sea water.
Decor tired and dated but all areas very clean.
Lovely big rooms, with lots of sun, excellant showers, very good cleaning service with clean towels every day.
Breakfast was very good with great selection.
A little far..1.7klm from centre , bus provided by hotel a few times a day.
Entertainment...games etc by day and music in evening.
Wi fi in public areas or 20e weekly.
Beach towels provided.
Spa in hotel, didnt use..12e per person for jacuzi.
Fridge in rooms..although sign up not to use a bit unfair as shoos very far away for cold drinks.

Good choice for families

The best way of reaching the hotel from the airport is to take a taxi. Journey time is approximately 15 minutes at a cost of ~€25.

My room was on the 1st floor, furnished to a reasonable standard (a little worn perhaps) and included a safe and fridge. The variety and standard of food which was available at both the breakfast and dinner buffet was good and there were always plenty of dishes to choose from.

Access to the beach and waterfront involves a 15-20 minute walk downhill through some housing and commercial areas although the hotel does run a 3 times a day bus service. There is also a “Spar” supermercado on route which was handy for picking up some supplies.

I must point out a couple of issues which the hotel could easily fix. First you have to pay for wireless internet in your room (it’s free in the reception area). I strongly recommend the hotel puts the room rate up to compensate as charging guests for this necessity just causes irritation. Second there is total confusion in the restaurant as to when guests can or can’t help themselves to still or sparkling water which is dispensed from a bar tap. At breakfast it’s free but in the evening those on half-board are not supposed to use and instead order bottled water at a charge of ~€2/bottle. This was only pointed out to me on my third night when one of the waitresses ran over to my table and explained the rules.

These issues aside, I did enjoy my stay and would recommend for both couples and families.

Enjoyable Short Stay

It was a very pleasant and enjoyable short stay. The breakfast was excellent.
My only complaint that the music in the public areas was very loud, especially as we had a very early flight on the Sunday morning

Large resort hotel perfect for our stay, a mixture of holiday and business. Large triple room with good size balcony not overlooked and nice views. Decent buffet style meals (we were half board) with some themed dishes each evening. Hotel offers transfers to local spots but recommend a car to enjoy the island.

Worth every penny. Food was delicious, Staffvwete lovely, very clean, pools are stunning, Spa was amazing! I’d highly recommend this hotel. I travelled alone and I felt safe and had an amazing time. Thank you.

Hotel with huge potential not fulfilled.

The hotel has many positives and huge potential. It is a beautifully designed hotel which could do with a bit of refurbishment. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis. Breakfast was good with a wide range of food. Particularly liked fresh fruit each day and the complimentary Cava got the day of to a real holiday feel start.
There was a destinct feel of \"lack of service\" however. At check in very little infomation was given and the member of staff was gruff and curt and only handed us a leaflet with info. The content of this leaflet was sparse. So I had to return to the front desk to ask about safe rental etc.
However the major problem is the loud thumping music beside the pool and in the evenings. We were in room 425 so if you want a quiet night I would recommend you insist you are not in rooms 200-300 on any floor. The noise from the evening \"entertainment\" is amplified because of the architecture. In hindsight we should have asked to be moved after the first night. Music doesn't usually bother me but the quality of the entertainment was not good and particularly when the entertainment manager became involved later in the evening it was raucous and loud. In most hotels loud music stops at 11p.m. but in this hotel it continued until nearly 11.45p.m. I asked the reception for earplugs which they did not have but did turn the volume down at the pool one morning. The public areas in the hotel including the restaurant were very cold, a jacket required.

beautifull pool area a big plus one of pools heated great spa ignore people’s veiw on food if you go to a big hotel were food is cooked in large quantities you are never going to please everyone there were nice salads plenty of fresh fruit freshly cooked meats and fish omelettes but they always had chips and hilarious and embarrassing to stand next to someone when on the canary island ask where’s the british bacon none left a holiday is what you make it we had lovely weather for the week but some quests we spoke to said the weather had been terrible if your away for a week in the canary’s even they can have dodgy weather on of the first hotels in the canary’s I’ve been able to swim everyday.yes little negatives but not enough for me to critise and let it spoil my holiday go and enjoy the beautiful outside area and I think every room gets sun all day beautiful sunsets little tip if you don’t want to listen to entertainment every night ask to have a room away from show bar well done Beatriz costa spa loved it

beautifully designed hotel

A wonderfully relaxing stay at this hotel - very spacious rooms, all with balconies overlooking the pools - very friendly, smiling staff - the interior of the hotel is very impressive with palm trees , ferns and ivy everywhere - huge atrium in the piano bar, must be about 100 feet high, with glass on one side letting in lots of light - several shops in hotel selling hand made jewellery from local minerals, etc.
this was our twelfth visit - love it, can't wait to return

Largely positive...with reservations!

Lovely hotel though perhaps not for those who want a central location as there is nothing in the immediate vicinity. Spacious rooms, good pool area, food fine for breakfast and dinner, pretty dreadful for lunch though when little effort appears to be made. Reception and cleaning staff lovely, bar staff largely grumpy - I know they work long hours but a smile doesn't take much effort!

we asked for a double bed when we booked. We got twin beds.When we told reception they said there was only 16 in the hotel and they were taken. They did say we could ask again in the morning. When we asked them about printing our flight check in passes they said we had to email them the boarding passes but when we couldnt get the email to work they refused to go to rynair web site, i tried for 2 hours and they still refused to go to the rynair site, said it was against their policy. You could hear the entertainment music very loud from your room untill it finished.

Nice spacious hotel but noisy

The hotel is big and well enough equipped. Room are good, very large with a good size bed, table and chairs, large private balcony and large bathroom. 2 major downsides. The noise from the evening entertainment was too loud to sleep until 1130pm. Not a problem if you want to be in the bar every night but a pain if you don't. Also, the bath was lovely but the shower ran hot and cold. Breakfast average standard but plentiful and lots of choice.

Disappointing and Unhelpful Staff

To say I was disappointed with the Beatriz is an understatement. Apart from aesthetics, there was little to compliment about the hotel. The customer service at reception was non existent. We enquired about activities in the local area and were waved away with a leaflet. We were not asked how our stay was throughout the week we spent here. Staff were unhelpful with their advice on the surrounding area. Staff in restuarants in Teguise confirmed this hotel has a terrible reputation for customer service. Overall extremely unfriendly and terrible service. The cleaning staff and waitresses were much more approachable and greeted us with a smile, something I didn't experience from any of the staff at reception throughout the 5 nights.

Wifi costs €20 per device. The only other connection was at reception area. Evening meals were priced €20 per person in the restaurant. The walk to Costa Teguise town was approximately 20 minutes and the path was not well lit in the evening. Food was usually cold at breakfast but there was a good selection of foods on offer.

The cheap price is attractive but there are hotels and appartments closer to the town that do not charge for wifi for 20 euro per person for a meal and have competitive room prices. We met very friendly locals in the town area that fortunately improved our holiday.

Disappointed. Not what we expected.

Staff don't smile at you at all. Rude. Had to put my own suitcase in the luggage room myself walking trough the boiler room and had to return the key to the front desk myself. We requested a double bed and found two single beds attached to each other and when claimed what we wanted we were told that the request was never made. The looks are pretty but very unsafe as pieces of fascia were dangerously hanging from the roof outside violently moving with the wind. Very disappointed...

Comfortable hotel, excellent all-inclusive buffet

Stayed 28th December 2016 for 1 week all-inclusive, best choice of buffet food I've seen after many years of AI holidays. Pools and pool area clean and tidy. Hotel is clean and comfortable, could do with some redecoration in areas. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Convenient location on outskirts of Costa Teguise, 10 minute stroll to Las Cucharas beach, restaurants and bars.
Only criticism...the music played by animation team appeared to have an upbeat bass added, really irritating, it doesn't have to be fast and loud to be enjoyable, maybe just showing my age!!

All in all, an enjoyable stay and I would return.

Great place to stay, excellent staff

We were booked for B&B but after staying at hotel would go all inclusive on our next visit, food was really good, dining area clean & staff were very helpful, our room was very comfortable, the view from the balcony was good. All staff were friendly & responded to anything you asked of them, we requested that the bar fridge was stocked with drinks, we were able to choose what we wanted put in the fridge & this was done promptly. The swimming pools were clean as was the rest of the hotel.

Was a good hotel once!

A bit tired now and seemed to be subject to a cost saving exercise, visited this hotel many times between opening in approx. 1996 (inc. millennium night) and 2001. All the good things have gone and looks like no maintenance done since opening...needs a complete refurbishment now...

We visited 7 different tourists places -cave,volcanoes,lake inside the rocks.There are a lot of small family restaurants and bara with amazing food and the local wine is good.

Great amenities, average room, terrible management

First off this is an impressive property, pools are amazing, even a waterfall and stream running through the bar/lounge which gives a good overall feeling to the property
Top tip get a low floor for a bigger room. The air-con smelled bad but luckily/unluckily the weather was cool
Breakfast had a good number of options, but at peak time the chef looked more interested in getting food onto the hotplate than actually cooking it!
However our stay was not a good one, I work as a night manger in a hotel so when I go away with my partner we like to sleep in a double bed. The Beatriz offering a double which was close to two times our budget looked like our best option.
On check-in however we were told they only had twin rooms available and that a double would be available two days later. Okay we were unhappy but we could live with that but two days later we were told that they only had 18 doubles in the hotel and that they were all booked
so for two days we were living out of our bags expecting to move, we were even denied the time to search for and book another double because of their broken promise. When I asked to speak to the manager I was told they did not know where they were or when they would become available. My only option was to fill out a form of my plight which was then promptly ignored by the general manager.
I must say I do feel sad about the whole situation, no one wants to come on holiday to be ignored

Really enjoyed our stay on an all inclusive basis. Food was varied but on occasion luke warm. Hotel is a little tired but amazing value. The on site spa was a great feature with thalassotherapy baths free to all inclusive guests.

Great hotel to really relax at.

The hotel was lovely. Fairly quiet for the time of year. The pool was great, even the cold pool. Was great to wake you up. The food was probably the best best I've had at an all inclusive resort. Such a great variety each day. And the hotel had one thing that I have never, ever experienced at a hotel.... The baked beans were hot, lol.
Only thing that is a shame is that it is a little out of town but only by a 10 to 15 minute walk. The spa is well worth a visit too.
